Yeah, I wouldn’t condone death threats.

It was on the Guardian’s site, and I’m pretty sure it was just clickbait. Or at least I hope it was. Although I don’t know if people being paid to write incredibly assholish things that they don’t actually believe in just to bring in traffic is much better than someone who does actually believe in their incredible assholishness getting paid for writing about it.

Didn’t look at the comments past the first few, which seemed to mostly be decent people being angered that the dude was talking about Pratchett’s work like that without even having read it first. Stopped reading when the first troll showed up to be all “I don’t have to read all of Fifty Shades to know it sucks.”

Which, no, you don’t, but there is an extremely wide gulf between any sentence from Fifty Shades and Terry Pratchett’s sentences. I have read almost all of his work, and I think I can remember a grand total of two awkward sentences. And I am extremely hardcore about sentences.
