Fiat Panda se veste com Waze para não se perder na Europa

O Fiat Panda ganhou uma versão diferenciada no mercado europeu, a Waze. O nome é referente ao aplicativo de navegação que pertence ao Google e faz dupla com o Maps no sistema Android Auto. Além do app, o hatch compacto italiano traz ainda um visual exclusivo.

Líder de vendas na Itália desde 2012 e o subcompacto mais emplacado da Europa nos últimos 15 anos, o Fiat Panda também chama atenção por ter registrado crescimento de 45% nas vendas com a versão Cross. Agora, a edição especial Waze quer pegar carona momentânea no sucesso do pequenino.

Visualmente, o Fiat Panda Waze chama atenção pelo teto preto e demais partes escurecidas da carroceria, pintadas em preto brilhante, sendo que o carrinho pode vir nas cores  Gelato Branco, Azul Giotto, Amarelo Solado, Cinza Moda, Vermelho Amore e Cinzento Colosseo Cinza. O compacto tem ainda rodas de liga leve aro 15 polegadas com acabamento diamantado e preto fosco.

Por dentro, o Fiat Panda Waze tem bancos em tecido com costuras contrastantes em branco e verde, além da multimídia Uconnect, que possui maior integração com o app do Google. Isso permite que o aplicativo leia certas informações do carro em tempo real. Um exemplo é o sensor de pressão dos pneus.

Caso um dos pneus esteja perdendo pressão, indicando um potencial furo, o Waze rapidamente avisará o condutor disso com a indicação de uma borracharia mais próxima. Da mesma forma, se o nível de combustível estiver baixo, o app buscará o posto que estiver ao alcance no trajeto do Fiat Panda Waze.

O modelo oferece esse serviço a partir do app “Panda U-Connect”, que também permite a localização do veículo em um estacionamento, podendo ainda registrar vídeos e fotos a bordo, bem como indicar um concessionário em caso de problemas mecânicos. O Fiat Panda Waze usa motor de dois cilindros 0.9 TwinAir de 85 cavalos e câmbio manual.

via IFTTT Fiat Panda Waze Returns To The Lineup With New Two-Tone Option Fiat has taken the wraps off the new Panda Waze. Billed as an “evolution of the most social city-car ever,” the special edition is now available with a two-tone exterior. When the option is selected, the model features a black roof which contrasts with an Amore Red, Colosseo Grey, Giotto Blue, Gelato White, Moda Grey or Sole Yellow body. The two-tone effect is amplified by gloss black accents on the skid plates, door handles and mirror caps. The model also sports special Waze badging and 15-inch alloy wheels with a two-tone finish. The interior is a sea of black plastic, but there are special front seats with a grey center section featuring white and green accents. Fiat says they give the model a “youthful and dynamic style.” Were not too sure about that, but the special does have some additional benefits including Waze navigation. The model also features Panda U-Connect which is app that enables your smartphone to act as an “extension of the car.” Under the hood, there’s a 0.9-liter TwinAir engine that produces 84 hp (63 kW / 85 PS). It is paired to manual transmission which can send power to an optional all-wheel drive system. Customers can also opt for a 1.2-liter petrol engine that develops 68 hp (51 kW / 69 PS). The engine is connected to a manual transmission which sends power exclusively to the front wheels. Despite seeming a bit bland, Fiat says the first iteration of the Panda Waze was a huge success that helped to boost Panda Cross sales by 45% in Europe. The five-door Fiat 500L appeared five years ago on the success of the core “five”: that buyers are so well received retrodizayn, it is not a sin to use it on larger cars.
