I am keeping characters' canon genders and sexualities in this AU. Should go without saying, but I have to specify because of a certain minority in the fandom.

I will also include LGBT headcanons for certain characters. Such as demiboy Hunter, trans (and gay) Gus, and pan Caleb.

Edit: Edited out the "Aroace Willow" out of this post, because it was confirmed that she's canonically Pan. Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

This should go without saying, but if a character is confirmed as a certain gender or sexuality. Then they should be that gender or sexuality in AUs or any other kind of fanwork.

New Caleb au coming to my mind. Sorry I haven't been posting my own stuff recently. I've just struggled with motivation and all.

Spoilers for The Owl House if you haven't watched season 1 and 2.

Basically, a Peter Pan Caleb au, where Caleb became Peter Pan.

The classic story of Peter pan comes later, as Caleb never grows up anyway.

When Caleb decides to stay in the isles with Evelyn, the Isles inhabitants don't really respond to him very positively. They demand some sort of justice for his past witch hunting. Maybe he was really into it and bad before changing when meeting Evelyn. Maybe he wasn't. Whatever happened back then, however he felt, witches want to have him punished for it. So, they have a trial. In this trial, Caleb is decided to be guilty of some bad crimes. Caleb takes this all without fuss. He feels himself that he deserves it. What's the punishment?

Caleb gets sent to this God. A collector or something similar perhaps. Maybe the guardian from amphibia? The idea of the punishment is that they bring him to this God who will determine the proper course of action. They expect that action to be a punishment and way of redemption. The god looks into all of his past actions like that demon that flicks through books fast.

That God is like, yeah, he was pretty bad once. But, now he isn't. In fact, he was robbed of a childhood and everything. You know what people? I'm making him a LITERAL GOD.

People are shocked. But, this God is trusted by most if not all. Caleb isn't sure how to react.

The God makes him young, and gives him his Peter pan outfit, or something similar, cause he could make it later. The God announces that he is to be called Peter from now on to signify his change for the better in the isles.

Pan comes later, when he starts using a pan flute.

Evelyn and Caleb in this au never really had a romantic relationship anyway. With Calebs powers and training to use them hes not around her much either so their friendship fades. He feels more free and acts like a child. He thinks like a child.

Tinkerbell he meets later. If his flight comes from tinkerbell, as I'm still learning about Peter pan, it would turn out it didn't originally actually. The God gave it to him. Also, any other powers came from becoming a god. Like I think he might be able to mind read in the play.

His backstory he gives in the Peter pan stories isn't actually true. They are false memories built by his real memories mixing together and being modified. Part of his godness causes this memory changing, so that he never remembers more time than maybe about 4 times his physical age. Which is about 11. Anything else is just undesipherable flickers he misinterprets. (Just enough to remember Wendy.)

Neverland is a specific realm that is connected to Caleb's powers and follows his wants, for the most part. Straight on to the 2nd star to the right is really where an invisible tear in the realms is. He wants adventure? It creates captain hook and the pirates to fight. He wants a cool outdoor place? That's why it's an island. He hears of stories about fairies that arent like the isles fairies? Now they are real. The lost boys he actually found the same way he says he did though. That's why it's said Neverland comes to life when he returns.

Originally Caleb didn't have Peter pans flaws, however he had others. He shifted over time in personality due to the memory loss, like generations of a group of people and their culture.

His shadow moving on its own is one of his powers, designed to give him the ability to send it away as a scout. However, due to his now childish nature and time, his relationship with his shadow isn't good in the Peter pan story. It originally was good.

Similar to his entry into Wendy's house, when looking for his shadow, Caleb sneaks into Philips cave. (He had no clue philip found out about his relationship with Evelyn and followed. He just discovered he was there.) Philip and his reunion is odd. Maybe it's similar to the memory paintings, but it's not quite. He flys around a lot. He's also not sure how to handle the situation, especially since he lost maturity from the spell so that he would represent childhood.

Caleb's Peter pan in this isn't secretly crazy or evil. The story plot is like a mix between the play, musical, other play adaptations, and the movies. (The early versions of the story are bad in certain ways. The isles were quite good, and that hasnt left him, so the classics plot has none of that.)

The reason Peter pan has elf/witch ears is because his ears slowly changed to reflect his magical nature.

He's friends with the collector. The Collector just happens to be a child god however, whereas he's the god of childhood, so the collector will outgrow him eventually. He finds the collector and frees him by stealing Philips notes. He's friends with that stonesleeper actually, but he forgot about it when it fell asleep for 50 or so years somewhere on neverland, and in the most recent happenings, has yet to wake up. The Collector goes off somewhere in space to do what he wants. (Caleb kept him from destroying or hurting the isles.) Philip never becomes Belos.

It's mentioned in some sources that Peter pan has nightmares from his suppressed memories. That's true for Caleb Peter. He has nightmares about losing Evelyn, others, losing Philip, Philip, and his Gravesfield trauma.

Philips attempts to kill witches and that whole situation is a whole other can of worms that I will unpack later.

He looks like Disney Peter but with Caleb's face and hair, and owl house artstyle. He has disney Peter's ears.

He meets Luz and takes her to neverland. No crush is involved to be clear. Luz just wanted to get put of camp. Hunter does exist, but he's Luz's brother and looks different because he's related to her. He doesn't come to Neverland. He has no idea where Luz went.

The clawthorns like Eda and Lilith exist but they just look different as Evelyn had a different husband.

Neverland is the demon realm inspired. Caleb also still remembers the demon realm and uses the portal door, which he created, to go there often. He introduces Luz to the demon realm where due to his carelessness Luz gets lost and meets King and Eda. Somehow they still become family. Caleb joins in that family but insists on never growing up.

Caleb can't remember that kings a titan so they have no idea.

The owl deity theory could have the owl deity be that God that made him a god.

Caleb is immortal. He will not die.

Lore answers & info from the Post Hoot, which I’m organizing by the unanswered questions I had from my previous post. This may not be entirely comprehensive of all the info from the post hoot, could definitely be missing some things!

What’s the history of Hooty? Was he always a part of the the Owl House or did he move in at some point? Why was a mini-Hooty in the Titan’s eye socket??

Confirmed that an offhand comment by the YouTuber thethirdbill about Hooty in Papa Titan’s eye socket was right. Couldn’t find the clip of exactly what he said, but I think it’s something about Hooty being a tapeworm? Hooty hole?

What’s the history of the Portal Door & Key?

Mentioned that the eye in the Portal Door is the Titan’s missing eye.

What exactly is the Tower Glyph (the one that King carved on his collar) and where does its magic come from?

The origins of King’s Tower is related to a character we all know, who now has amnesia about it. Likely the Bat Queen considering she’s the only character who explicitly has amnesia (but I personally like to think it’s Tibbles).

What are the nitty gritty details of the Wittebanes & Evelyn's story?

Caleb and Evelyn had a super loving relationship... until it was ruined lol. Not much more info on that.

Is Evelyn a Clawthorne?

YES!!! The Clawthornes are all descended from Caleb and Evelyn! Hunter and Eda are not aware of this fact.

What are the details of Flapjack’s origin? Whose Palisman was he exactly?

As was depicted in the trailer ride in Thanks to Them, Flapjack was gifted to Caleb by Evelyn (as she found him more reasonable and less violent than everyone else in Gravesfield), and was essentially his first true introduction to magic.

To Belos, Flapjack is a representation of the corrupting force that magic, the Demon Realm, and Evelyn all had on his brother, hence the line “Goodbye, Evelyn” when he killed Flapjack. That line was never meant to be literal (as I have been saying this whole time lol).

What's the history of the shack in the woods? Does it have any direct relationship to the Owl House? Who used to live there? The Wittebanes? Evelyn?

Dana’s thoughts on the matter seemed to not be 100% final (so if it was actually incorporated into the show, we could have got something different), but she said maybe it was the Wittebanes’ house a long long time ago. And when Eda first entered the Human Realm through the Portal Door, she came out at the shack, which was even more dilapidated than we see it now. She then spent years fixing up the shack alongside fixing up The Owl House, one being her home in the Human Realm and the other her home in The Demon Realm.

Other things off the top of my head said in the post hoot that I didn’t mention in my last post:

There’s another ending for the show that Dana has wanted to do since the beginning, but it didn’t work within the time constraints. Too much would need to be set up. If we ever do get a sequel show, she would use that finale to cap it off.

How would Caleb react to one of his children being part of the LGBTQ+ community? I know that obviously Caleb would continue to love his son no matter what, because he is the father that we all love, but it can still be a cultural shock, so to speak.

Funny you ask, Robyn is indeed bi (when he's a teen and up) - it's a Clawthorne thing or something.

Caleb had it all explained by his lovely wife way before they were married because he was exposed to more mlm, wlw, poly etc. relationships in the demon realm than he would've ever been in Gravesfield and so he just had to ask. Kitty/Eve herself is pan (and he himself is kinda bicurious at the least).

By the time Robyn or another of his kids were to tell him they're bi/gay/lesbian/pan/ace/..., the surprise factor and the "how do I handle this??? I was taught this is wrong??? KITTY HELP??" factor would be nonexistent as by then he would've already spent over 10 years on the Boiling Isles and more or less forget and ignore what was drilled into him as a kid. I paint him as a very open minded person. My guy literally looked over all he was taught about witches and demons and decided to stay on the Isles and marry his hot witch crush.

All that matters to him is that his babies are happy and loved.

My guy would give a thumbs up and probably bake a cake with some dumb pun on it - "my kid is trans, so now I'm transparent"- esque. He'd possibly even act as wingman. Unasked of course. Robyn would be like "that guy kinda cute-" and Caleb is all "Say no more, son". Before Robyn can even realize what is happening, Caleb is talking to the guy like "Excuse me? Hi. My son thinks you're cute. Yeah, the one staring at us big eyed, face red."

Huntlow and Wittecouple

So we discover Hunter is Bi and Willow is Pan. Everyone is asking, "Was Caleb Bi too?" We can all assume that maybe Evelyn was, seeing as most of the Boiling isles is on the spectrum of LGBTQA+. In the end though, I don't think it matters what sexuality Caleb was, Huntlow and Wittecouple are similar.

Evelyn was a witch, someone who could be tried as a witch in Puritan times. Of course they were going to make her a woman character, also to parallel her to Eda and hint at the Clawthorne connection. That is why they made her character a girl.

They could have made Hunter a girl, but I don't think Belos would tolerate a Trans person as his "brother." They could've made Caleb a girl, but I don't think it was likely that women were witch hunters. If Belos cloned a sister, that would've been a more messed up reason. Keep it closer to PG-rated. Hence and Caleb and Hunter are boys.

So we won't know what Caleb was into, because like Hunter, he only ever had eyes for one person. This person for both of them, was the one who allowed them a chance to live freely.

Hunter has only known authority, training, and rules. He likes to read, he has a big heart, but he's not allowed to express that freely. He's supposed to be something for somebody else. He meets Willow, Willow impresses him by showing him people deserve second chances and not taking no for an answer. They play Flyer Derby together and he actually has fun with other people. He decides he likes these people, so he reveals his affiliation with the enemy He doesn't want to be apart from these people, and he doesn't want to hurt them...Willow most of all. Realizing what he would be putting them through if they join his group, he let's them go, but he remains in contact with them. Willow realizes he's not the threat he's usually portrayed as, he's actually a good person. They end up bonding over their cute palismen over pentstagram. Hunter falls fast, and after seeing Hunter's sensitive and dorky side, Willow falls too. Hunter eventually joins Willow's group, abandoning the Emperor.

As for Caleb and Evelyn, Evelyn was an outsider to town, disguised as a human. Caleb saw her as someone who deserved a chance to not be outcast, because him and his brother were once outsiders. She seemed to be friendly with birds, like he was. Also a carver? like he was? (Not sure if he started that tradition). They would probably go for nature walks, feed birds, bond over cute cardinals. She probably allowed him to be a little adventurous, and not just fill a societal standard that Gravesfield expected of him. She saw, that despite him being an official witch hunter, he was kind and didn't desire to hurt people. This would lead Evelyn to trust Caleb enough to reveal her status as one of the enemy. He might be shocked at first, but realizes she's not a monster, and allows him to enjoy life without judgement. They communicate with the rebus and see each other in secret. Caleb falls for her hard, as she fell for him, so much so he leaves his group, his family, and goes to be with Evelyn in the Boiling Isles.

So, long story short...both Huntlow and Wittecouple were from opposing sides, but both love stories allowed them to be brought together. One being freed from their life of conformity, ruthlessness and authority, being allowed to be who they wished to be.

P.S They must have also awakened some power in them, Huntlow with Hunter's flashstep, and Wittecouple with glyphs.

OH MY F**KING GOD (part 1)

For the future was so good but still so short, they left us some answers but there are so many things that we can get in "watching and dreaming"

We start with Luz in the interdimentional port, with the apparition of someone that looks like a titan?

Then we have the confirmation that the place where Eda found the portal door is the same place where the portal opens in the human world.

Confirming that Evelyn had something to do with the Clawthornes, maybe that was Caleb and Evelyn's home....before Philip came.

I love the concept of the collector transforming all the inhabitants into puppets, implying how childish he is and why he was locked up so long ago, it is, as we had theorized, a spoiled child who is not aware of his power or the impact it has, in my work we have a child who is equal to the collector, he does what he wants without thinking about anyone, he just needs someone who is firm and tells him things clearly, that may be the goal of King, Camila or Eda...

And we see each couple dumbfounded by their correspondent, Hunter with Willow and Luz with Amity, but the two are overwhelmed or affected by their corresponding situations, Hunter trying to overcome the loss of Flapjack and the fact that Belos is still alive, and Luz with the fact that she is going to leave the Boiling Isles for her mother..

They arrive at the owl house and what strikes me most is how they have represented the repression of Willow's feelings towards this whole situation, causing her to gradually lose control of her powers, which is seen later in the episode.

The arrival in Boonesborough and the transformation of this gives us a clues, first that the collector just wants to play, have fun and have people to play with, much like Peter Pan in the neverland tale where, ironically, Peter also comes from the "stars".

We arrived at hexide where everything is chaos, which reminds me of a mix between the lord of the flies and rebellion on the farm, where Boscha, as it could not be another, acts as a dictator "leading" the teenagers and manipulated by Kikimora.... As it could not be otherwise, this woman does not learn at the end of the world. another who has learned nothing is Odalia, who instead of helping the citizens, prefers to save her skin.

Meanwhile we have Belos who is loosing control over his body and he needs another one, confirming two theories, the origin of the grimwalkers, that they come out of the earth like mushrooms and the number of grimwalkers he made, which is way more that we thought, like a lot more, dude this man left corpses everywhere, first in the skull of the titan and then in the laboratory Frankenstein mode.

We also see Caleb in ghost form, What I do not know is if it is a real ghost because Belos is dying or is only a vision caused by repentance, although he does not look very repentant, because he tries to possess another grimwalker, confirming another fact, the grimwalkers when leaving the earth, are composed of the same matter as witches, With normal muscles and bones and not sticks and pieces of stone as we thought, they have to be some kind of alchemy.

In hexide We see Willow collapse completely thanks to Boscha, causing her to lose control of her powers.

It also confirms a theory that we had been saying since thanks to them, Gus did know that Hunter was a grimwalker, hence the reference to Cosmic Frontier.

And here comes my best part HUNTLOW!!!!! i loved how Dana portrayed their dinamic as a healthy relationship, where the two partners help each other, When you are hurt I help you and when I'm hurt you help me, nobody is the therapist of anyone.

And we have not one or two but three blushes in one episode.

We also have Amity and Boscha toxic relationship, where she wants to get her back even when it's not meant to be.

But I got to love Matt, he has matured a lot during the apocalypse, but he is still that little asshole we love.

There's so much going on in the episode that I think I'm going to do two parts.

Alright, they didn’t answer as much as I would have liked, though they might do more in the future, thankfully, but there were a few notable nuggets of info, even if Dana often invoked “death of the author”. For one, Willow is pan and Hunter bi, Raine’s Palisman was hidden in their instrument and repaired by Dell and Hunter, the rat seen in Clouds on the Horizon is Alador’s Palisman, Evelyn and Caleb are indeed the ancestors of the modern Clawthornes, but they and Hunter are unaware, Papa Titan’s full name is unpronounceable to humans and witches, Luz and Hunter confirmed to be like siblings, a maybe on Vee x Masha (they deserved more in the finale), the shack where the portal was is indeed where Caleb and Philip lived, the portal door’s eye is apparently at least representative of Papa Titan’s, “The Third Bill” on YouTube apparently got something right about Hooty (he was apparently the Titan’s tapeworm from what I’ve heard), Raine and Eda aren’t officially married but they “have” moved in together, and the Collector does indeed visit the aisles frequently, being genuinely close friends with King, so given how you felt about them leaving to begin with, I know you’re happy about that. Just wish that they’d talked more about the origins of the portal door and how magic with Palismen works, especially for humans like Luz, just for starters.

Alright, time to dig in on this one. Let's go point by point:

-Willow is pan and Hunter is bi: totally would've called it with Willow, though I'm actually kinda surprised with Hunter, I wouldn't have called that one. Cool to hear it, regardless!

-Raine's Palisman was hidden in their instrument and repaired by Dell and Hunter: very interesting. There's so much we didn't get to learn about Palismen, so I never would've guessed they could have that kind of modification, or that the staff part at least can be broken/repaired.

-The rat seen in Cloud on the Horizon is Alador's Palisman: I can't McF*cking believe it, that's hilarious

-Evelyn and Caleb are indeed the ancestors of the modern Clawthornes: we been knew, but good to have confirmation. Fuel for the pyre that is my headcanon that everyone is in a big messy family after the end hahaha

-Papa Titan's full name is unpronounceable to humans and witches: yeah, I kinda figured. I remember when people though he was called Yore because of that comment in the Titan Trapper episode, good times XD

-Luz and Hunter confirmed to be like siblings: I think people would riot otherwise, lol

-...a maybe on Vee and Masha: kinda surprised they outright said they aren't a thing (yet, at least), that's the kind of thing I'd just let the fandom headcanon about with no comment. I totally ship it, regardless!

-The shack where the portal was is indeed where Caleb and Philip lived: we been knew, also. Kind of a missed opportunity not to have Belos comment on it, but that's exactly the sort of thing that would've happened with more time, I guess

-The portal door’s eye is apparently at least representative of Papa Titan’s: I mean, I guess, but we know so very little about the portal and the Titan that it's really anyone's guess what that ultimately means

-Raine and Eda aren’t officially married but they “have” moved in together: I mean this works perfectly for my vision for the Kverse, which is basically Raine going "this is my partner Eda, and this is Eda's partner Camila" :P anyway, marriage is just kinda superfluous sometimes, so I totally get it. They're an item, no matter the paperwork

-The Collector does indeed visit the Isles frequently, being genuinely close friends with King: still doesn't address the fact that it really is a weird choice IMHO to have him do his growing up off on his own or surrounded by a familiy that is clearly a bad influence, but I do appreciate that he at least visits often!
