The coffee my kuya bought bc he knew I wanted one. And that time he took me out for lunch. Sinigang na pampano I made for myself bc vegetables. The fried chicken that Chie cooked (Max's style ᕦ⁠(⁠ò⁠_⁠ó⁠ˇ⁠)⁠ᕤ). And then there's my cats "looking out" for me while I study lol.

The past few days weren't plain sailing. I think If I did this a few years ago, I wouldn't care this much. And so it's just silly how much I am gravitating towards it rn haha.

Intentionally looking for the good in the midst of this process and well, these people feeding me ARE the good (and my cats XD). It's always the little things <3

Cucina in Marco Polo Ortigas Manila Offers New Filipino Boodle Fight

Cucina in Marco Polo Ortigas Manila has been one of my favorite buffet restaurants ever since the hotel opened its doors in 2014. Throughout the last ten years, the Forbes Five Star hotel has featured many different themes and events at its signature restaurants. Last year, they launched their City Zen semi buffet setup for those who want a more relaxed dining alternative during weekdays (Read: Marco Polo Ortigas Manila Launches City Zen at Cucina). This time, they are now offering new Filipino Boodle Fight sets for barkadas and groups who want to have this Pinoy dining experience inside a premiere luxury hotel.

Cucina is Marco Polo Manila’s all-day dining restaurant located on the 24th floor that is well-known for its superb international and local cuisines. Marco Polo Ortigas was one of the first hotels in the Philippines to earn the coveted Five Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide, the global authority on luxury travel since 1958. Considered as the Olympics in the hotel industry, this prestigious award giving body recognizes the most luxurious hotels, restaurants, and spas worldwide. Since getting the award in 2017, it has continued to receive this recognition for seven straight years.

Starting August 4, 2024, Cucina now offers its new Filipino Boodle Fight that can be shared by groups of two to eight persons. This is available daily at Cucina during its non-buffet hours so diners can still get a hearty smorgasbord of Filipino favorites in the afternoon.

The Filipino Boodle Fight is available in two delicious sets. The Malasa Set starts with a platter that comes with Inihaw na Pusit, Steamed Vegetable with Homemade Shrimp Paste, and Sinugba na Manok.

Together with these grilled favorites are the Inihaw na Pork Liempo and the Pina-Rilya na Pampano. These Filipino surf and turf dishes will surely make the entire table happy.

That's not all, because the Malasa set also comes with a big bowl of Oxtail Kare-Kare and Sinigang na Suahe. The Kare Kare was really creamy and goes well with the bagoong. Of course, Filipinos cannot eat without rice so the set also comes with a platter of Pandan rice.

Another option is the Malinamnam Set which has more seafood than the Malasa set. Start with the very crunchy and sinful Pork Bagnet Chicharon for appetizers, then continue with the Ensalanda, Inihaw na Tahong, and Sinugba na Kitang Fish.

There's also the Halabos na Suahe that you can pair with some Lumpiang Shanghai dipped in sweet chili sauce. Condiments are all provided to complete the festive feast.

The highlight of the Malinamnam set is actually the Bulalo Pata ng Baka with its juicy chunks of tender beef mixed with corn and vegetables in a warm clear broth. Pour some soup on your Pandan rice for a truly Filipino dining experience.

Didn’t get a chance to go to bank today considering I got home at 3am. I should look into where I put my alarm to be safe when I walk.

The sinigang tasted even better today. Those flavors blended together. I added more mushroom, eggplant, fish cakes, and bokchoy 🥬. Can’t get over how good it turned out.

I was told by someone that they do omad most of the time. Then I realize they snack beyond their one meal throughout the day so technically their eating window is long. No wonder no weightloss.

I’m trying for a 4 hour feeding window. 12pm-4pm for example. No calorie restriction.

Today, it was about 1pm to about 5-6 pm. So around 5 hours eating window. Woke up late and then forgot about the work meal. The fries were good.

I did it again today. This is definitely more psychological than anything. It feels easy now but the hardest is when I fall off and can’t get back up again. That’s the hard part.

It's a light tease, mostly to test boundaries of what he could joke with or not. He's not precisely walking on eggshells, he's certain that Alastor wasn't of the pearl clutching variety, but he's paying attention now, he wants to know what tickles the other's funny bone, and then it's all over. Shared laughter was strongly suggested in the book to help with building rapport. And compliments, but this soon it would come off as disingenuous ass kissing, noooo thank you.

Lucifer hesitates at the offer to reconvene in Alastor's room, pulse stuttering. If his face hadn't already been an unearthly pale yellow, it might've given something away from blanching. Though, there were enough other cues to give away his unease... but his desire to right things outweighed the guilt, and wouldn't it be better? He could openly mention and ask about the contents afterwards without worry of explaining how he came about that knowledge.

He doesn't mention his favorite drink in this case, that could... be something for later. Or not at all. How did one make a bitter Angel Milk? By nature it was sweet... "You prefer bitter and spicy flavor profiles then? What about sour, savory, salty, and sweet?"

His hands clasp behind his back to hide the nerves since he hadn't brought his cane to grip instead, rocking back on his heels. Lucifer still felt out of his depth, but a definite measure calmer than past interactions. The only thing that had him on edge was not having had a chance of discussion since he found out just how badly he misconstrued things. And he isn't sure how to interpret everything now, other than it going well since Alastor was humoring him.

He's. Really hoping that it's that and not because he was a King imposing himself on a subject. He'd try and trust the process.

One of my friends is in and out hospital/clinic right now. I need to get my health appointment, finances, life sorted. We’re all falling apart. Funny how that trip to Yosemite appears to have lessened my plantar fasciitis.

Harder today to get my tasks done as I made a mistake at work that delayed me for one or two hours. What a bitch, arrived almost 3 am.

I probably started eating around 12-1 pm and ended 6-7pm. So about 7-8 hours.

Most important to note, that considering I did 3 days in a row, that I’ll have to keep tracking on this site for a year. Every time I stop tracking, I immediately get off the wagon.

Tomorrow, anticipating on adding more veggies to my sinigang. Forgot I still have leftover turkey and potatoes.
