HOLY SHIT THIS AKECHI PALACE IDEA
when the pt begins to infiltrate shidos palace ofc they have to go through akechi's fight. thats when he proudly reveals the palace theyd been going through was HIS. his palace took on the name and distortion of shido's ship because he wanted to get close to shido. he then tells the pt that he already cleared shido's palace and to get out. he then brings down the ship which was the false part of the palace.
so the crumbling buildings were akechi's palace and Shido was the center of it.

I have such a good idea for an au but aaaaa that means actually drawing it which will take so long
being creative with limited motivation/time to draw can be such a curse sometimes
