my god, robert is out for blood during that press conference in australia in '94. there wasn't a single journalist left alive in that room when he was finished with them.
"we're definitely not real. and certainly not normal." yeah, tell them robert what fools they are.
and the way he left the second it was over. 'if i stay here a moment longer i will murder someone for real and then it will be unpleasant for everyone involved. exit. NOW.'
no chill this man, no chill.
wonder why he was so royally pissed off that day.

Excerpt from an interview Robert did with Steve Newton, published originally September 30th, 1993:
“Touring is actually easier now, because there’s no drugs. No drugs, no tobacco. It’s great.”
Not even the odd beer?
“I have a few sort of flushes in my countenance still,” says Plant. “Young girls still whimper as I walk past. If they don’t, they will. Hee-hee.”

It's worth mentioning that Titanic was released several months prior to this interview and Leomania was in full effect when Robert declared, "old men do it better."
Robert was middle-aged and he looked it. He was no longer the heartthrob he was back in the 70s. Young guys like Leonardo DiCaprio were the big heartthrobs at the time of this interview. I think a bit of insecurity was part of what prompted Robert to make this comment.
just about everyone in the classic rock fandom:

i'm watching the denton show interview for the hundredth time and it never ever gets old. the amount of mirroring they do all the time is just silly. they're wired to each other to such a level, like come on! newlyweds cuteness but also 'been married for over 20 years' vibe. robert's gay innuendo because of course he cannot let the opportunity pass. jimmy's 'oh no not this shit again' expression when robert starts showing teeth at the very mention of Stairway. giggling into each other's arms watching the parodies. it isn't hard to see them glowing, really.
and let's not forget the story of them discovering a great band playing in a cafe in marrakesh which was later filmed in Only Lovers Left Alive.
#not to mention robert being hotter than the sun itself in all black#and jimmy's cute little smiles#denton show interview#jimbert#husbands#page/plant era#1990s#only lovers left alive

Robert Plant received a royal honor from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace on Friday, putting the former Led Zeppelin front man one notch above his old band mate Jimmy Page.
But, Plant joked he and Page would not be fighting over rank, even though Plant's new Commander of the Order of the British Empire is a higher honor than Page's Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
"If we can remember each other's phone number at this time in life it's a miracle," he joked. "We're still good friends, we both enjoy a rather dark sense of humor that comes, I think, from being from rather the wrong side of the tracks for all those wild years."

Robert and the One That Got Away
https://tenyearsgone.blog/2024/03/06/the-guardian-01-29-2011-the-showman-must-go-on/
"I am someone who has just had his entire vinyl collection, assembled over 45 years, waylaid and destroyed by a shipping company somewhere between Hammersmith, west London, and Los Angeles, and Plant is the man to talk to, especially about the scores of old blues and folkways records, never mind the complete and lovingly scratched Led Zeppelin; he understands the bereavement. His famous and capacious collection has a particular concentration on, he says, 'obscure black pop music between 1958 and the mid-60s'. Before our conversation, we had walked around that gallery above the great lobby, lined with photographs of music downstairs, and come upon a trio of black girls singing here in 1952: 'Now that's my kind of band,' said Plant."
The one that got away theme is present in a great deal of Robert's music, both in his own lyrics and the songs he chooses to cover. It's there throughout Led Zeppelin, his solo career, and all the way up to his most recent album, his second album collaboration with Alison Krauss. It's even in some of his pre-Zep stuff: I’m going all round the world Lord, I’ve got to find my baby I’m going all round the world Yeah, I’ve got to find my baby Well, she ain’t no bad girl Oh, but she sure makes me hot.
Something tells me Maybe by The Chantels, a heartbreaking song released in 1958, is one of the "obscure black pop" songs he loves. Its lyrical content would seemingly be relatable to Robert. 1958 is also rather specific. He didn't say between the mid or late 50s and the mid-60s. He said, "between 1958 and the mid-60s."
Back to Robert's lyrics -
Good Times Bad Times*
"Sixteen, I fell in love with a girl as sweet as could be"
"I know what it means to be alone I sure do wish I was at home I don't care what the neighbours say I'm gonna love you each and every day You can feel the beat within my heart Realize, sweet babe, we ain't ever gonna part"
Ten Years Gone
"Did you ever really need somebody, And really need 'em bad Did you ever really want somebody, The best love you ever had Do you ever remember me, baby, did it feel so good 'Cause it was just the first time, And you knew you would"
"Vixen in my dreams, with great surprise to me Never thought I'd see your face the way it used to be"
From the Durable Led Zeppelin 1975 Rolling Stone interview:
"PLANT: Let me tell you a little story behind the song “Ten Years Gone” on our new album. I was working my ass off before joining Zeppelin. A lady I really dearly loved said, 'Right. It’s me or your fans.” Not that I had fans, but I said, “I can’t stop, I’ve got to keep going.” She’s quite content these days, I imagine. She’s got a washing machine that works by itself and a little sports car. We wouldn’t have anything to say anymore. I could probably relate to her, but she couldn’t relate to me. I’d be smiling too much. Ten years gone, I’m afraid. Anyway, there’s a gamble for you.'"
The album on which Ten Years Gone appears, Physical Graffiti, has several songs on it that were written in '74. The other tracks date as far back as 1970. TYG was likely one of the '74 tracks. Robert would've been 16 in '64 - ten years prior to him writing a song about choosing music over a girl - possibly the same girl he sings about falling in love with at 16 in Good Times Bad Times.
There are other Zeppelin songs such as Tea For One that seem to be about the same woman. I never believed Tea For One was about Maureen, especially since the Rees bio on Robert contains a quotation from Benji LeFevre saying Robert strangely didn't talk about Maureen much. This was when they were separated due to Robert having chosen to be a tax exile and they'd both just been seriously injured in a bad car accident.
Tea For One
"To sing a song for you, I recall you used to say 'Oh baby this one's for we two', which in the end is you anyway How come twenty four hours, baby sometimes seem to slip into days? A minute seems like a lifetime, baby when I feel this way There was a time that I stood tall, in the eyes of other men But by my own choice I left you woman, and now I can't get back again"
Ramble On
"I can't stop this feeling in my heart Every time I think about my baby I think "we gots to part" Gotta keep on searching for my baby"
"I can't find my bluebird! I listened to what my bluebird said, but I, I can't find my bluebird!"
The lyrics for Fool in the Rain are about Robert returning to a particular place multiple times seemingly in hopes of reuniting with a lost love.
Then we have Robert's solo songs like Burning Down One Side, Little By Little, S S S & Q, Heart In Your Hand, High And Lonesome - more of Robert singing about pining for a woman and trying to find her. Burning Down One Side also seems to describe a teen romance:
"Slipped through the window by the back door And took the keys to my poor heart"
"Hotfoot through alleys, check the doorways Try that old parking lot on 9th There's three-course kissing in the same way Oh but that don't help me none no more"
Additionally there are the songs Robert covers that have a similar theme like Louie Louie, If It's Really Got To Be This Way, Searching For My Love, and Can't Let Go. The list goes on and on.
-------------------------------------------------------
Robert has made certain comments in interviews I think are about the same woman. Ex. In an '88 interview he said something about falling in love and being with a girl in the backseat of a car at a drive-in. Again it sounds like a teen romance situation and I just have a sneaking suspicion he's talking about the TYG woman.
Other examples:
"Speaking to Rolling Stone, Plant revealed that he spent part of 2020 sorting through his personal archives and discovered an unopened letter from his mother dating back to 1967, one year before he teamed up with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham in Led Zeppelin.
'I opened it in 2020, and it said, ‘Robert, you should come home now. Sue is waiting for you, and the accountant’s office are happy to take you back’,” Plant reveals, noting that he had briefly trained as a chartered accountant before opting to go to college instead.
'It brought a tear to my eye,” said Plant. “Because I thought, ‘If I’d have opened that, I might have taken it up.’ Just imagine that! I’d be out shooting pheasants somewhere now on the Welsh borders, with a pair of plus-fours.'
'But how ironic that I never opened it – it was a letter from my mom.'”
From Robert's BBC Desert Island Discs interview:
"In one poignant moment, he told presenter Lauren Laverne how he recently discovered an unopened letter which his mother Celia had written to him in 1968, shortly after he had turned his back on a career in accountancy to seek fame and fortune as a singer:
'It said 'Dear Robert, I know you are out there somewhere. We have had a word with the accountancy company and your job is still available, and your girlfriend would like to know when you are coming back.'
'It was just so beautiful,' he says."
From S4E1 of Robert's Digging Deep podcast May 22, 2021:
"I found a letter from my mum that said, 'Look, you've been a very naughty boy. Why don't you come back 'cause Sue wants to know where you've gone and also you know the accountancy job is still open in Stourport-on-Severn. And why don't you just come back home and we'll just pretend all this, this stuff didn't happen.'
And I hadn't opened the letter until about three months ago."
Robert said in an interview with Rick Rubin that the theme of High And Lonesome was "an old theme."
-------------------------------------------------------
The timeline seems to be Robert dating Sue, breaking up after she gave him an ultimatum, leaving home and trying to make it as a singer for about 2-3 years, and receiving the letter all before he joined Led Zeppelin.
One of the S letters in the title of one of Robert's songs S S S & Q could be Sue's initial.
I think Sue is the mystery woman who is the inspiration for Ten Years Gone and so many other songs in Robert's catalogue, Zep and solo. And it's possible she is Robert's one that got away.
I could easily be completely wrong about all of this. It's fun to try to connect the dots though.
-------------------------------------------------------
I also think Jackie DeShannon is Jimmy's one that got away, he wrote Tangerine about her, Jimmy's lyrics from Friends are partially about her, and Jimmy's written other songs about her as well:
Friends
Had a friend, she once told me You got love, you ain't lonely Now she's gone and left me only Looking for what I knew
-------------------------------------------------------
*Robert did not receive any songwriting credits on Led Zeppelin, as he was still under contract to CBS, but he did write the lyrics to Good Times Bad Times and other songs.
#robert plant#jimmy page#the one that got away#speculation#think Jackie also inspired Jimmy to cover certain songs like#got my mojo working#everyday I have the blues#and how long how long blues#there are other reasons why I think Jackie is Jimmy's one that got away#but I probably won't get into them on here#oh and bless whoever runs the ten years gone blog#archiving Robert's interviews#do you think this post has enough tags

The Tim Drake Heartthrob Conspiracy
It started as a slow, creeping suspicion. A few throwaway comments here, a couple of odd interactions there. At first, no one thought much of it.
One day, Dick was grabbing coffee near Wayne Enterprises when he overheard two interns chatting in line. “I saw Tim Drake today, and let me tell you, I think I’ve developed a new celebrity crush,” one of them said, giggling.
Dick nearly choked on his iced latte. Tim? Celebrity crush? He shook it off, chalking it up to the occasional corporate crush, nothing out of the ordinary for someone who runs a massive company. But then he heard it again the next week at a Titan’s briefing. Garfield leaned over to him during a meeting, nodding toward Tim across the room.
“Man, Tim’s really come into his own, huh? Guy’s kinda a looker now,” Gar commented.
Dick blinked, then frowned. “Wait, what?”
“Oh, come on, Nightwing,” Gar teased, “you can’t tell me you haven’t noticed! The quiet broody thing is working for him. I bet half of Gotham has a crush on him.”
By the time Dick got back to Gotham, the gears were turning in his head. Did half of Gotham have a crush on Tim?
Then it happened again. This time it was Damian’s turn.
He had been sparring with Jon in the Batcave, when their conversation drifted, as it often did. “You ever think about what it would be like to date someone like Tim?” Jon asked, completely out of the blue.
Damian froze, mid-punch. “What?”
“I mean, he’s smart, right? Responsible, kinda low-key. Would probably make a great boyfriend,” Jon continued, completely oblivious to the growing horror on Damian’s face.
“Grayson and Todd, are enough. I refuse to let another sibling of mine become Gotham’s romantic fascination!” Damian exclaimed later that night at the dinner table. The others laughed, assuming Damian was just being overly dramatic, as usual.
But the seed had been planted.
It didn’t take long for the other Batfamily members to start picking up on the signs.
Steph first noticed when she logged onto a Wayne Enterprises fan forum (because yes, those exist) and saw a thread that was simply titled, “Tim Drake’s Glow-Up Appreciation Post”. The page was filled with comments fawning over him—talking about his “sharp jawline,” his “dark, mysterious aura,” and how “charming” he was during interviews.
Naturally, Steph sent the link to Cass with a laughing emoji. “Look at our boy, growing up into Gotham’s next heartbreaker,” she joked.
But as more and more of these comments popped up in the oddest places, Steph’s joking tone faded. Was Tim really the next heartthrob?
The realization hit Jason last, as most things concerning Tim usually did. He was scrolling through his usual online haunts, browsing forums that discussed Gotham’s vigilantes, when he stumbled on something unusual.
A post titled: Top 10 Reasons Why Red Robin is the Best Looking Vigilante in Gotham.
Jason almost clicked out of it immediately, assuming it was some kind of joke. But no. There were paragraphs. Analysis. Photos that somehow made Tim look like a damn model, even in his ridiculous Red Robin cape.
Jason scrolled through in disbelief, not sure what he was more stunned by: the fact that people were thirsting after Tim, or that someone had gone to this much effort to explain why he was hot.
“That’s it. The internet is officially broken,” Jason muttered to himself, before sending a screenshot to the family group chat with the caption: Since when did Tim become a fashion icon?
The real kicker, though, was Alfred. After weeks of the Batfamily casually throwing around jokes about Tim’s newly discovered “status,” Alfred finally made his observation one morning over breakfast.
“Master Timothy has always had a certain quiet charm about him,” Alfred said as he served coffee, completely unbothered by the ensuing chaos.
Dick, nearly spilling his coffee: “Wait, you knew about this? Why didn’t you say something?”
Alfred raised a brow. “It hardly seemed necessary. I assumed you all were already aware of Master Timothy’s appeal.”
Appeal. Appeal.
Jason was laughing so hard he had to leave the room, while Steph and Cass exchanged glances that said everything: they needed to re-evaluate everything about their little brother.
The whole Batfamily was still coming to terms with it. They joked, they teased, but there was an undeniable shift. When they looked at Tim now, they saw what others had apparently been seeing for years—a quietly confident, strikingly intelligent young man who had somehow grown into one of Gotham’s most eligible bachelors.
Of course, the moment that really sealed the deal came when Tim rode into the Batcave one evening on his Red Bird bike, wearing hastily thrown on stylish outfit—a black leather jacket, perfectly fitted jeans, and a shirt that gave him a casual, yet effortlessly cool look. Running a hand through his still damp hair, a look of mild annoyance on his face.
“Sorry, I’m running late. Got a date.”
For a moment, the Batfamily just stared.
Holy. Shit.
And then, as if on cue, Dick, Steph, Cass, Duke, Jason, and even Damian had the same thought at the same time: Oh my God, Tim Drake is the Batfamily’s biggest heartthrob.
The realization was almost too much to handle.
#tim drake#batfam#tim drake is gothams most eligible bachelor#tim drake is also a huge heartthrob and i think that needs to be addressed more#his date was totally with danny btw#ofc the bats would be the last ones to realize how saught after tim is

Wednesday Addams x F!Reader
• Reader is about to leave for work. Wednesday asks her if she's forgotten anything, and Reader gives her a kiss. Wednesday turns red and opens her hand to reveal Reader's keys/wallet/etc., saying
'I meant this, but it's appreciated.' Or smt like that!
forgetting something ?
Pairing: Wednesday Addams X fem!reader
Words: 4k
Warning: fluffy
Author notes: I've received a lot of requests, I'll try to do them all!
Happy reading
"Love, what's the password for your phone?" I ask curiously as my eyes glance at the smartphone in my hand.
I found myself in Ophelia Hall in Wednesday's room with Enid, wanting to spend some time with my girlfriend. Enid was doing Things' manicure while sharing some gossip about some outcasts at school. Meanwhile, Wednesday Addams was making the most of her writing time.
Ignoring me.
The tapping of the keyboard abruptly ceases and Wednesday slowly turns towards me. Her brown eyes turn cold and dark as they meet Enid's, who visibly trembles in the face of that icy, penetrating intensity.
"Things, I'll finish later..." Enid whispers, her nervous smile betraying the fear inspired by Wednesday's gaze.
Without saying another word, Enid jumps up from her bed and hastily exits the room. The door slams behind her, resonating in the silent air as Wednesday watches her pass with an impassive expression, lips pressed in a subtle smile of satisfaction.
"How many times have I told you not to scare her?" I say with a small smile on my lips, and Wednesday looks at me without batting an eyelid.
"I didn't scare her," her voice is calm and controlled, without any hint of remorse or concern.
"You did," I sigh at her comment while absentmindedly playing with her phone.
"As you wish," Wednesday replies calmly, showing no particular emotion.
I smile shyly at her response.
"I told you not to use vulgar nicknames in front of others and you keep doing it," Wednesday justifies herself, looking at me curiously.
I raise an eyebrow in confusion.
"Vulgar?" I ask, feeling puzzled.
Wednesday nods timidly, without a hint of a smile on her lips.
I sigh loudly.
"Anyway... Could you tell me the password?" I ask again, wanting to change the subject to avoid ruining the atmosphere.
Wednesday tilts her head to the side and scrutinizes me with her gaze.
We've been together for a month, but I don't know if I'll ever get used to her quirks.
"My favorite plant" Wednesday replies in a monotone voice.
"Of course" I reply sarcastically as I type in 'Belladonna.' The phone unlocks, and I smile as I see the background: me and Wednesday embracing during the Poe Cup. The brunette had a stoic look while she look at me smile at the camera.
"Nice background," I say teasingly and Wednesday rolls her eyes at my comment.
"I know," she replies monotone.
I could see a small smile threatening to emerge at any moment.
"But don't you have any games?" I ask disappointedly, and Wednesday stares intensely at me.
"I barely use it to write to you," she justifies herself, and I nod understandably.
Wednesday and technology were two completely different things and couldn't fit in the same sentence.
"So you only have WhatsApp?" I ask curiously, looking at Wednesday.
"You're distracting me unnecessarily," Wednesday mutters annoyed by my questions. She turns her back on me and starts writing her story again.
"Thanks, Wed" I say sarcastically, and Wednesday continues to press the keys of the typewriter ignoring me.
"Why am I with her, I don't know," I mutter to myself, turning my gaze to her phone. I scroll through some pages and look at the apps.
I choice YouTube.
"Because you love me," Wednesday replies loudly without looking at me "and anyway, I can hear you, be careful," she adds in a cold voice.
Was that a threat?
"Right" I reply aloud.
I start searching for what interests my girlfriend. Hundreds of horror stories and interviews of real murders, true photos, and thousands of hypotheses about monsters, unsolved murders, and much more.
Creepy but Wednesday's style.
"Y/n?" I raise my head from the phone and turn my attention to Wednesday who had once again interrupted her writing hour.
"Tell me, darling" I ask with a smile on my lips.
"Shouldn't you be going to work at the café?" Wednesday asks with curiosity.
My smile fades and I widen my eyes in realization: I had forgotten.
I quickly get up from the bed in a panic
"shit shit" I put on my shoes and look around the room in concern. "Where's the jacket?" I wonder, and I look around the room with worry. "You threw it on Enid's bed," Wednesday exclaims disapprovingly, and I smile hugely.
I internally thank Wednesday for her incredible memory.
I walk towards the door, but Wednesday's voice makes me stop.
"Forgetting something?" She asks seriously.
I sigh at the unfortunate moment of being romantic. "You're right" I walk towards her and lean down towards her face to unite our lips in a sweet kiss.
As we separate, I notice that Wednesday's cheeks were completely flushed.
"You were forgetting the car keys, idiot," says Wednesday embarrassed, showing me the keys.
I had left them on her desk an hour ago when I arrived.
"Oh, thanks," I say embarrassed, and Wednesday smiles widely making my heart race a mile a minute.
"But I appreciated it" she confesses quickly and I smile back getting lost in her deep brown eyes.
Yes, definitely, now I remember why I'm with her.
