hey friend ☀️🌱 i wanted to ask what you collect (stamps, figurines, ...?) and what general tips you would have for someone who wants to get into collecting. i used to collect post cards, deco tapes and stickers as a child, but it was all very unorganized. one day i simply stopped, and it was pretty chaotic at that point. now, stamps seem like something beautiful to get into, but idk where to start. what's something valuable you think a beginner should know about collecting (stamps or in general)?

hello! thank you so much for the sweet question! I collect yugioh cards too, stickers, vintage toys (like mlp, care bears, etc!) and a specific style of 80s sweater like this! ooh! some of my collections are unorganised like that...with stickers especially it's hard to keep them tidy, buying a sticker book (the style with pages where you can place + remove stickers freely) helped a lot with single stickers, that way I can keep them all together without taking up space!

hmm! in stamp collecting there's a lot of people who are super serious about it or think there's strict rules, I pretty much just ignore it! I think what's most important is collecting stamps you find cute or fun rather than what you think might be valuable! I started out by buying a stamp stock book online (there's lots secondhand on ebay) and saving the stamps I liked that I received on mail! some secondhand book stores will carry stamps too, I've gotten some fun ones from there!

as for collecting in general, I think what's most important to remember when it's something vintage or secondhand or a little hard to find, that it's about the hunt! I could easily buy a care bear online, but the thrill of finding the one I've wanted for so long in person for a good price is much more fun! I hope that makes sense!
