having to make a conscious decision to stop thinking about xiv at all anymore because every time i do i look back on its story in a "why couldnt you have been more like gw2" way about the warrior of light as a character and the scions

#pact commander.....exists as a character. and feels actually part of the setting. wol is bland and doesnt have anything--ostensibly meant to #be a puppet for the player to project a character on but then you have to tiptoe around how they dont feel like they actually come from #any part of the world because of that. they are disconnected in a way that sucks.#dragon's watch....have their own lives and don't exist to pat the player's ass and lead them in the story. anet so smart to retire them #theres a reason shb scions were the best bc they actually felt like real characters of their own...not whatever ew gave us #not gw2 #okay this is the last rant i will ever have about xiv on this blog
