this started a long long time ago when I made a joke about how sega should put ringo in more dresses, and then my friend reminded me that oh yeah!! I can do that instead!!! and then one thing led to another and we joked about punk ringo and I drew that too. using ringo like a dressup doll is so cathartic it's kinda crazy

Looking back on it, Team Fortress 2’s ‘Meet the Medic’ video has got to be one of the most spectacular character introductions ever made:

“When the patient woke up, his skeleton was missing, and the doctor was never heard from again! Ahahaha! Anyway, that’s how I lost my medical license.”

“Should I be awake for this?” “Well, no. But as long as you are, could you hold your ribcage open a bit?”

“What happens now?” “Now? *sinister chuckle* Let’s go practice medicine.”

“Doctor! Are you sure this will work?!” “Haha! I HAVE NO IDEA!” *jazzy annihilation sequence where it does, in fact, work*

All told a perfect picture of a character who is batshit insane, weirdly and alarmingly competent about it, and having a whale of a time!

Plus all the little non-verbal character moments, like his attachment to his birds, being barehanded for surgery but putting gloves on to go kill people, pushing up his glasses before getting down to business. It’s such a fantastic little 4-minute character précis.
