39, "Do you stitch" I genuinely do not know what that is. i probably should Im sure some npc across pirate and wiz has told me but

31: "Show us your house" yes please! Im also doing my ship setup bc i have put more time into that

So the house is pretty incomplete. I restarted recently bc I lost some narrative and order-of-side-things notes i keep for the hypothetical fic I'll write one day AND I didn't go too ham on the house bc i want to wait until i have access to more shops (especially in Mooshu where my pirate is from) but heres what i do have on the actual house:

dont ask why it says to upgrade. i def am a member. i hopped into the house from my checkpoint in Monquista so? I dunno. But this is what ive put outside so far, this cute camping area and this like sparring/training bit

I've also done this study library thing. I think I had some piece of it like the extra carpet or the shelf on hand for the ship and it didnt get used so i built this cute lil place around it

And speaking of the ship, here's the main room in the captains quarters bc of course i put out for it

The side rooms have the bunks and storage space but this is like the crews living room. I'll end up with more cups on the tables n stuff but yeah this is the main hangout when away from home

This is like a mini version of the office area. Im sure someone on the crew needs a steady desk to write or draw at, im sure someone is messing with a map during the voyage

This is where Sabrina (my pirate) sleeps. she is 14 and thinks hammocks r cool. When the gang was in the raft that was just the one room she wanted to sleep by the window and it stuck. Sometimes she crashes on an empty bunk if she's like upset or its storming outside, but in general its pretty rare that shes alone overnight in here SOMEONE has fallen asleep on the couch most nights (sometimes on purpose so she isnt isolated, she's a social kid). it also has a little spot for her pet with a pillow and a food bowl.

And their little kitchen! I'll replicate this in the actual house at some point but I just don't need to rn. It's self explanatory you can see whats there and why its needed

I spent a solid game session or two ONLY on decorating stuff and i like it. im sure things will be moved around once i access more shopping but im fond of the ship layout rn

The Young Wizard Isn’t So Young Anymore…

Hard to claim in a game where everyone has called them Young Wizard for YEARS, but there WAS a day where the Young Wizard truly grew up! It was when we graduated that fateful day after Morganthe was defeated and we dawned the title of Child of Light & Shadow. When we graduated everyone that got us there was there to celebrate, seeing for the first time in a long time to result of perseverance the birth of a legend to last all time. The savior of the spiral; a hero.

So what happened after we grew up? We were whisked away to Polaris to aide Bartleby yes, but we found ourselves entrenched in an expanse of the spiral we never knew existed. Ambrose guessed we’d end up there, the Arcanum, but if he suspected such things why never mention it? Perhaps we’ll never know, but regardless it always felt like the natural next step in our journey. We are still a legend, a Savior of the spiral, but now these Scholars are not just teachers or mentors… They’re *peers*, colleagues, we don’t answer *to* them we work *along side* them.

If it’s not obvious, Arc 3 is my favorite Arc of this game. It shows maturity that comes with saving the universe twice and doing a third time as a grown adult. Spider even says it himself in the Sands of Time, “Look at you, all grown up!” The primordial deities even recognize we are not the bright eyed bushy tailed wizard heading down Unicorn Way. We are seasoned, we are experienced…

We are no longer playing games.

Perhaps that’s why Arc 4 shows us at our most irritated. As we continue to save the Spiral from impending doom once more we can’t help but get frustrated over the people around us arguing and taking and taking and *taking*. How dare they! We’re saving their sorry asses and there’s no even a thank you until the darkest hour?! How. Dare. They. But we can’t think selfishly like that, lest we do the spiral a disservice. After all we are Bartleby’s Scion, we can’t go disappointing now. So, maybe no longer with a smile, we save the universe once more and solve yet another crisis. The dust has settled and all seems well, but what happens when a new threat dawns the shores of the Spiral?

Where… Or *What*… Is our breaking point?

okay im just now getting into w101 fanfic even tho ive had an account since 2008.

FIRST OF ALL.

holy shit did you know theres an official wizard101 fanfic page STILL HOSTED ON THEIR SITE updated as recently as 3 years ago. what the hell

your nb wizard fic where they become a prof wrenched my heart open. belladonna crisp trans headcanon is so goddamn real

cantrips. like. okay. so. let me explain this one: i just got back into the game like a month ago and cantrips BLEW MY MIND. as a kid i LOVED the spell quests where the rules of w101 were seemingly broken and spells were cast outside of battle. it always felt like early w101 "deep lore" was about the spell circles -- go into Dalea Falmea's tower with the classic textures, for example, and there's a really fascinating visual that represents all the possible points of the like... swinging compass thing. it got removed in the new texture rerelease but it's super striking! we see the spell circle ALL THE TIME and we have NO IDEA what the symbols on it mean and why and then when cantrips were introduced and we can just. DO ANY MAGIC ANYWHERE?????? that blew my mind is there fanfic with cantrips or that examines spell circles (more spell circle headcanons: the only reason such a young wizard is allowed to fight monsters is because the spell circle stops these beasts from tearing them limb from limb, instead forcing them to fight thru the magical proxies of cards. another hc: being sent back to a world's hub when you run out of HP is the spell circle activating a failsafe for you.) (be interesting to see a p101 fic which deals w the pirate like. PERSONALLY SMACKING PEOPLE AROUND vs the wizard w their protective magics... that always interested me) but yeah! cantrips, archmastery, all the Weird Edge-case Lore

I Also Love The Edgecase lore and the stuff abt the like, constraints of the game. which i know you can easily bypass in fanfic (like saying the pet snacks are objects, not cards, etc) but its FUN to work with a unique and interesting system already implemented in the game as the structure of this universe. Also YEAH . pirate101 fics are so different bc when i write them i haven't really written any with gunslingers so its all Up Close and personal fighting (i have a pirate101 tag i think you can look through for that, also one extended fic on my Ao3 for it)

👀👀 i don’t know if you’ve said enough previously for me to be able to ask a specific question, so please talk about your original projects!!

OMG HIIII

yeah honestly I haven't chatted about it much (on a previous blog I think I did but. That's lost to the void) because I literally had no idea how to chat about it without annoying people but also my creations deserve to take up space, just like every other beginning creative, yknow??

I guess since there's not much to go off I'll give a vague overview!!! A lot of names are also being rewritten at the moment so they may change in future posts lol. My actual response is below the cut!!

We have a world!! Current name is Streidal*, inhabited by your fantasy usuals, your humans and like 6 diverse races of elves plus their shunned siblings, the Iilae (catfolk), the Amrat (lizardfolk and dragonborn adjacent) and Evira (bird folk and harpies). Something something the elven mother Goddess is not happy at the erased history of the groups named above but the internal politics of the various -kyyn/elves mean that this oppression and erasure continues to fester until it results in war. And of course, humans are trying to get involved and/or profit from it!!

The humans, of course have their own ongoing issues where the push for technological advancement has resulted in a group (currently unnamed) that are hoarding information and also people!! Unfortunately these people are being experimented on, helping to create realistic automaton spies. All about how the hoarding of knowledge to further technology can negatively impact society as people loose themselves or something along these lines!!

I also have two different casts for each of these interwoven plotlines, including a runaway givokyyn (wood elf) princess turned criminal overlord, possessed assassin and the physical manifestation of all his problems, a blind child who may or may not be connected to the Godess Kyyn herself and more!

The other is literally my fistful of Pirate101 ocs but I stripped them from the Spiral and made their lives worse, captains, pirate lords and a dysfunctional council consisting of Lenora-Jane Yearling, Zhuri Amin, Carter Reed, Nimble Flint Silved and Ulysses Castillo, alongside "sidekicks" like Oran Albescu and Fiorenzo Adathan!! They've all got their own things going on that impact how they interact with eachother, help eachother or actively make eachother worse to reach their own personal and collective goals. Currently the stories seem to be running parallel to eachother but that can always change. I'm also building a world building bible right now complete with maps, so I might share some more in the future!! Hopefully by talking about it here it can keep me motivated to chip away at planning and writing, plus potentially share some cut scenes or something. I'm always open to more asks about this OR my other wiz/pirate/tes ocs too i am a bit of a chatterbox lol. Thanks so so much for the ask!!! <3 <3<3
