i love how my first introduction to jasper william cartwright, ttrpg player extraordinaire, was not d20 or even three black halflings but the oxventure one-shot video where he's a guest to play You Awaken In a Strange Place, a one-shot game developed by jacob andrews from drawfee, a youtube channel i love dearly alongside oxventure.

that video includes the whispers of revolution in the nondescript regency kingdom, everyone having the power to explode people with their minds (the whole body, i mean (not just the head (the WHOLE body, all of it gone, this is very crucial you see))), and jasper playing a naked duke who's allergic to bricks, which is less relevant than you'd think considering the whole thing takes place in a nightclub in a building presumably made of bricks.

I was listening to the most recent episode of the Oxventure podcast (the finale to OitD season 2, "Magic, Ghosts, Danger & Death") and in the post-episode chat, Andy provided a sort of asterisk to the upcoming "Finale" season, I believe because of some confusion and as a response to the reaction.

Basically, "The Finale" is intended to be a wrap-up and a way for them to start a new campaign, but it doesn't mean that the Oxventurers are gone forever. He even said they intend to do like one-shots and things with the guild after the fact, but that this is the last season for them, and again, a way for them to put a bow on those adventures and start something new.

The thought process behind all this makes sense, and I understand the desire to start a new campaign. Personally I felt relieved and a little surprised to hear this on the podcast, but as I've grown very attached to the characters it was nice to hear.

I mostly never do stylised stuff and am desperately trying to learn, but it's absolutely impenetrable magic to me, currently. So I'm posting it now before I grind my teeth to dust from trying to force it to click in my heid. It's SO DIFFICULT and I am INHERENTLY LAZY.

Andy said on today’s livestream that there’s going to be another Oxventure Presents series starting soon, and I am getting in my early guess that it’s going to be Kids On Bikes. Less confident guessing who’s gonna GM, but I will tentatively say Andy for reasons of Genre.
