I just had the weirdest dream that Vanilla Ice (from JoJo, not the rapper) was Kakyoin’s father (In ova artstyle too). Like, literally everything else in the story of JoJo part 3 was the same except that.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of my complicated dream that I had this morning.

I’ve gotta stop sleeping past 11 AM on the non school days.

Finished JJBA part 3

So Iggy's death was fucked up in Part 3 but it was actually very different compared to the OVA, where he instantly got merced by Vanilla Ice instead. It made me really sad. Yesterday I was talking to my coworker about her dog that just passed away so this one took me off guard. It's crazy how Iggy did jack shit for the time he was there until he found the mansion by accident, and then he became a diehard Jojo because the fucking bird got his paw. The "human" voice coming from Iggy's thoughts was incredibly funny but the timing of Iggy showing us his character and resolve shortly before his death made it devastating.

Avdol's second "death" was almost identical to his first death except a lot more definite. Poor bastard never got to fight before he was vored. Avdol is cool-headed like Jotaro but he's more analytical and heroic so I really liked him. I wish he got more battles.

Kakyoin, RIP :( you had the worst stand but you were the smartest character. I thought the show did a good job at showing us how far hed gone during the D'arby race episode just beforehand.

Joseph's "death"... it's incredible how quickly Kakyoin was written off as dead but then Jotaro fucking resurrects Joseph with Dio's blood. I think it fits Joseph, it doesn't matter what you throw at this guy, he is not staying down. I found it hilarious the first thing he tried to do was prank Jotaro and then he nearly got re-killed because of it. Joseph has constantly evaded the "fate" defined for the Joestar family members of dying young and he is even still alive after his grandson and great-grandaughter get merced in part 6. He literally never dies during the entire jojos timeline.

I like how messed up Polnareff was that Avdol died saving him twice and then Iggy went and did the exact same thing. It makes it more satisfying when he killes Vanilla Ice a moment later, saving the others from a terrifying foe, and then when he hops in at the last minute to save Jotaro from Dio later. But then, again, Jotaro puts himself at risk to save Polnareff. I see Polnareff as the "heart" of the group. But I already know his weird turtly fate the next time he encounters a timeskip user.

Dio is a very fun character. Interesting how part 3 didn't bother reminding us about him and sort of assumed we already knew who he was, but at the same time you get the perspective of all the modern characters who see him as some terrifying charismatic demon. The people sticking around since Part 1 have seen that Dio is ultimately a very evil british teenage twink on an ego trip. We see some of his ability to respect the strength of others when he resurrects the loyal Vanilla Ice, but ultimately he'll freak the fuck out when confronted with someone stronger than him. He rage gamer tilts against Jotaro and makes himself vulnerable in the process.

I think this would've been solved more quickly if Joseph taught Jotaro how to use Hamon.

There's not too much of a difference between the original sapphire heartverse and the ova sapphire heartverse. The only difference is the bad ending goes like this (the good ending is technically the same because there is Jonathan's Head in the OVA universe):

Tip saves Iced from Iggy's sand attack (which is why Iced survives in this story in particular, rather than luck). Tip gets crushed to death and Iced holds him in his arms, in denial that his uh... "Roommate" and *looks closer at notes* "very very close friend" had died. Iced goes berserk on Iggy and Polnareff but ends up meeting his canon fate in the OVA. Polnareff says something about,"Now you can join your little 'friend' in the after life..."

2: NGL, probably through the memes. it was about four years ago, in 2019? don't count me on that, though, i have the memory of a dust bunny. anyways my F/O is from JJBA and i love the franchise. it's my special interest ><

5: since he's a vampire, he can't cook for shit -- but i can. i can make the best grilled cheese... and normal foods, too. i promise. ����

the second number 4: probably. he's a vampire, so i think he'd have, like, corpse body temperature, and would always be seeking warmth (like a lizard). i'd be super awkward about it for a while LMAO but i'd find comfort in it eventually.

8: i suppose so. it's only for lore reasons, and they're not really my enemy. it's like, "the enemy of my friend is my enemy, too".

13: literally... so many... but they're pretty nasty, and i'd rather not contribute to the horrible public image he can have XDD

17: my S/I is a stand user (by birth) and had to leave america due to troubles with the law (<- murdered someone). i can't give away the whole plot, though! i suck at writing in words and i mean to make more art/comics about it eventually.

18: JJBA is known for the variations, particularly different color palettes. i love the red version a lot, and the black one is pretty neat. he's also got like a dozen voice actors, which is to be expected when yr F/O is from a franchise as huge/old/popular as JJBA. i'm particularly fond of the HFTF and OVA voice acting. the audio drama version is good, too. the anime one ranks last for me, but i still like it. (there might be more variations? IDK, it's hard to tell, since there's so much content...)

19: maybe not my favorite, but i like the swiss cheese tank top in part 6. overall, he's very fashionable. has too many outfits and i like all of them.

24: actually, yeah! i'm not sure how serious i am about this? (<- has difficulty understanding and describing emotions) but TL;DR we are married. no ceremony or anything because i don't have friends lol. i'm SUPPOSED to be getting my ring today, but i don't think that's gonna happen. post office is a dumbass, yk. i got it imported from japan, it's official merch and everything GGRGRGRGR

27: no, i hate kids 💀 he's not a pet person, really, and neither am i TBH. he's got a handful of illegitimate children, but they're irrelevant to the plot (due to the time and location it's set in).

32: his relatability. sounds weird, since he's a villain and general asshole, but we have similar experiences. i don't think i'd be able to be attracted to him if i didn't relate to him as strongly as i do.
