I've been pretty creatively drained lately and it's made me v inactive here and I hate it :( so here's some AU ramblings
uuhhhhh if anyone wants to send an ask or something about one of them I'd love you forever, and it might help kickstart my creativity
Vehsz aus
Canon: the universe im normally talking about when I mention my ocs. Terrin (Grand Champion) is the Commander/Outlander. Though her alliance is militant due to her status as a Mandalorian, she does drive to bring relative peace to the galaxy, and she and her Alliance are respected.
Commander!Varrich: a personal favorite AU. Varrich is my trooper, and he becomes a fallen hero as Outlander. Hes the villain of the story, his Alliance is a dangerous military, and he's bound to meet his end being stabbed in the back.
Commander!Synnda: though not cruel, being Commander hardens Synnda. He no longer has his gentle edges, but he's a good leader who wants the galaxy to find peace. His Alliance is more scholarly and attempts to negotiate, resorting to violence only as a last resort in most situations. It's seen as soft until the moment Synnda no longer stays his hand.
Commander!Xaerez: He never wanted this. He never wanted the spotlight, the leadership. But he accepts it with a sigh and does his best to lead the galaxy into an era of peace. He's distrusted, and has to work a lot harder than the other Commanders in various V'ehsz AUs to earn his people's - and the galaxy's - respect and trust. His Alliance relies rather heavily on information and isn't afraid to resort to blackmail and assassination to end the war between factions.
Modern: An AU set in a modern, human world. It's essentially a coffee shop/slice-of-life AU. No war, assassinations, spies - just everyday people in various situations.
Fantasy: A medieval-fantasy setting. The V'ehsz Legacy is a series of fantastical creatures, sorcerers, etc. The kingdom is at war with an unknown force that's slowly draining the life from everything and everyone. Knight-Captain Terrin puts together a team to find and destroy the source of the decay.
Apocalypse: A zombie apocalypse with similar setting as Modern AU, all of them are human. They're just trying to survive a world that's out to kill them.
Rediscovery Era: While not technically an AU, it's set a few thousand years after Canon V'ehsz. The Alliance long ago fled into uncharted space, leaving behind only vague clues to their whereabouts. Spacers, pirates, adventurers - they've all tried and failed to find it. That is, until a group of scholars decide to take a leap and go on an adventure to follow the clues.
Role Reversal: What would happen if there was just a little change here, a little one there, to change the lives of the V'ehsz Legacy before the start of the class stories? In this world, they find themselves following far different paths from their canon selves.
Mermaid: I just. Really like drawing mermaids, so created this one during Mermay a few years ago. No story behind this one, it's just an excuse to draw some OCs as merfolk and give them eerie fisherman's tales type backgrounds.

Ten Facts: Synnda V'ehsz
Tagged by @swtorpadawan - thank you! 💚💜
Open tag, tag me if u steal it so I can see >:D
Fact 1: Ood Bnar Connections
Synnda took strong interest in Master Ood Bnar from a young age. A scholar, as well as a Master who could study the dark side without ever falling to it, and highly respected by the Jedi of his time? Little youngling Synnda wanted to be like him.
It shouldn't have come as a surprise when he felt a pull to Ossus, and finally went there after dealing with Vivicar's plague - it was there that he was drawn to the location of none other than Ood Bnar's lightsaber crystal, though he hadn't known that'swhat he was seeking out until he found it. It resonated strongly with him, and he felt that his lightsaber was finally complete as he placed it within.
Fact 2: Dark Side Corruption
While he wouldn't fall to the dark side, dealing with the dark side plague left its mark on him. It marred his face in a way not unlike a Sith, leaving his irises too-bright and with a vivid orange creeping from his pupils, a slight glow in the dark, and the skin and veins around his eyes to darken. It caused him a great deal of anxiety when he first noticed it, as well as raised questions from the Jedi Council - but he proved time and again that he hadn't fallen, and it was just an unfortunate side effect of the shielding technique.
Even so, he took to wearing a mask over his lower face, as he found it seemed to soften his eyes and make him, in his own words, "less frightening."
Fact 3: Limited Expressions & Inflections
A contributor to his usage of masks, Synnda is well aware that his expressions and voice tend to be very flat and hard to read. At least with a mask hiding his mouth, others can read him a little easier with just his eyes, showing that he's not actually annoyed or indifferent.
He's trained himself some to fake a smile and more chipper voice for when he has to deal with particularly difficult people for negotiations and such, but he prefers to be more himself.
Fact 4: Prison on Zakuul
Shortly into Zakuul's invasion of the galaxy, Synnda acted as an escort for those fleeing to Ossus - however, as he lured Fleet ships away from the ship Nadia and some others were in, he was quickly surrounded. He and Felix were the only ones aboard the Serenity, and both were captured. They were separated shortly after, and Synnda would have no idea whee Felix ended up until they're reunited years later.
He spent four years in a Zakuulan prison, remaining by choice when he realized some of his guards had loose tongues and he could learn a lot from them. It was only when he learned the location of the "Outlander" that he broke himself out.
He'd lost a fair bit of weight due to Zakuulans not really being familiar with Zabrak diets, and his prosthetics were both in poor shape, but he escaped from right under the Knights' noses. There was only a single casualty: His guard for that day, a very young and inexperienced Knight who let his guard down. Synnda took no joy in killing him, but knew it was necessary.
Fact 5: One With the Shadows
He finds comfort in the feeling of a Force shroud, and is so adept with it that even an extremely skilled and powerful Force-user can have a hard time sensing him while he's shrouded.
He can also extend the shroud to another, though it weakens when he does this and both he and his companion have to step carefully.
Fact 6: Sacking of Coruscant
He witnessed the Sacking firsthand as a young Padawan. He and his first Master were on a speeder, attempting to reach an emergency medical tent so they could lend a hand, when their engine was shot.
They got into a bad crash when she lost control; Master Kila didn't survive, while Synnda was left needing his left arm, leg, and heart to be replaced with cybernetics. He wasn't expected to survive even after receiving the prosthetics, and didn't wake until a few days after the Treaty was signed.
Fact 7: The Barsen'thor's Students
After the Paladins of Odessen were founded, with Synnda becoming one of its heads of leadership, he began keeping an eye on Paladin recruits in an attempt to find some to take as his own students. He wanted some he could trust with the shielding technique, as he had a bad feeling it would eventually be needed again after he was gone, so he needed to pass on his knowledge.
The first to join him was an old acquaintance from Coruscant; he was surprised but not displeased to see Attros Finn among the wannabe Paladins. The two spoke for a while, caught up on the many years they hadn't seen each other, and Synnda extended the offer to personally train Attros to be a Paladin.
Next was Parrakh Djal, who the Alliance had taken in after he led a rebellion against his slave masters. Synnda noticed his interest in healing, and kept an eye on his trials before deciding to take him as a student.
Third was the far younger Hera, a young Pantorran girl Nox's team had discovered hiding out in a tomb. Synnda and Nox more or less ended up raising her, and she was eager to become one of his students.
The three of them, along with Nadia and Lina, learn his healing, shrouding, and shielding techniques so they may continue aiding the Alliance after he's gone. Albeit, Nadia and Lina more so help him with the training of his students, while also picking up on whatever training they didn't know before.
Fact 8: Dark Side Studies
As Ood Bnar before him, Synnda took interest in studying the Sith and dark side of the force. It was a concern of the Council's for a long time, and - as mentioned before - the visible corruption that the shielding technique caused made them worried, especially paired with his studies.
However, he's always carefully walked the line and never been at risk of even using the dark side, let alone falling to it. Instead, it serves as a point of knowledge that not even many Jedi had, allowing him to more accurately judge their enemy, enter Sith tombs without casualty, and even draw a number of Sith to the light.
He tapped into the dark only once: On the Alderaan Star Fortress. Darth Nox doesn't speak of what happened to Exarch Draya (watching someone get crushed half to death then dropped into a sun reactor was horrifying even by what he was used to seeing, after all), while Synnda tries to avoid the subject; his guilt for what happened aboard the Fortress still surfaces when Draya is brought up.
Fact 9: Commander AU Wardrobe Overhaul
In his Commander AU, he abandons his usual white robes and mask for something more practical of a military leader. His outfit takes more inspiration from a Jedi on the frontlines rather than one who focuses on diplomacy: Durable pants, protective armor, a flame-resistent robe.
He also knew white as a military leader....wasn't particularly optimal, so settled with darker colors despite his dislike for wearing them.
The goggles were an addition he settled on later; Valkorian's presense in his mind made his existing dark side corruption have a strong reaction, turning his eyes red-orange and significantly darkening the veins around them.
Fact 10: Role Reversal's Silent Assassin
In the Role Reversal AU, where Synnda swaps places with Qizulth to be the Sith Inquisitor, he begins his "career" as a Sith's personal slave and assassin.
He undergoes a number of "enhancements" as direct results of his aggressiveness toward his master, including the loss of both hands for attempting their murder, and later his tongue for speaking out of turn despite multiple warnings.
It's highly suspected he did eventually murder his former master so he could go to Korriban (as he did his best to hide Synnda's Force-sensitivity so he could keep him), though no proof could be found at the scene that he was involved.
Surprisingly, he mellows out considerably after the fact - though Harkun quickly finds himself on Synnda's short list of people who would lose their head when he got the chance.

Outlander!Synnda uses a lightsaber pike because his is lost to him and he needed a weapon Right Now
...and he Totally Didn't Steal One from one of the Knights he and Lana faced as they escaped to Koth's shuttle so he'd have something to defend himself with (Lana Did bring a spare saber, but it was a little single-hand one and he's Not good at using those)
So Oops he's using a stolen weapon
That is all
#swtor#jedi consular#voids ocs#outlander!synnda#outlander synnda crafts a pike for himself later#cause i like the idea that the crystal in the knight's was resisting him and made it hard to use#oooh and maybe that contributed to his loss to arcann on asylum.....#but he Likes how pikes feel and would Totally craft one for himself#with a crystal that Actually Resonates With Him#oc: synnda v'ehsz

I love thinking about how becoming Outlander changes a character
I've got four universes for my legacy: Canon V'ehsz (Terrin as outlander), Outlander Varrich AU, one for Xaerez, and one for Synnda
Terrin, the Grand Champion, is still Mando, but becoming Commander matures her and turns her into a pretty damn good leader. Bounty hunting is behind her, now; it's time to save the galaxy. Her Alliance is still very militant but in the Mandalorian sort of way, but she truly wants to protect people, and her Alliance is looked to for hope.
Varrich, the Havoc Squad hero, lets his anger and hatred eat him alive. He becomes a horrible person who'll do anything to end the war. The hero lived long enough to see himself become the villain, and the galaxy is worse for it. His Alliance is a dangerous weapon one wouldn't dare cross, and it strikes fear through the galaxy. His eventual backstabbing was a long time coming.
Xaerez, Cipher Nine, is forced out of the shadows and into the spotlight. He needs to use his acting skills to not seem cold to keep allies. While his Alliance is seen as good, and he aims to protect, he's the worst leader of the four because he's NOT a leader and others tend to look to the former Cipher with distrust and suspicion. He's a spy and a loner, but he's been forced into leadership and is trying his damnedest to be a Good Leader.
Synnda, the Barsen'thor, is forced to face the fact that he can't solve everything with negotiations. Sometimes, he just needs to draw his weapon and end something then and there. He's more distant, not necessarily cold but also not as approachable as he once was. He steps into leadership reluctantly but calmly, has the most peaceful of the four Alliances, but isn't quite himself anymore.

4, 6, 11 from Alliance Edition asks (go with all Commanders :)
thanks, Pauletta! 💚💜
...I realized while working on this that All of my Commanders ally with the Republic (albeit some do so reluctantly *coughcoughvarrich*). I need an Imp-aligned Commander, hmmmm...
most of it under the cut cause it got a little long haha whoops-
4. Why did this character of all your OCs become Commander?
For all of them, it was a case of being in the wrong place at the right time.
Terrin: When Marr reached out about sensing Vitiate in Wild Space, she and her crew were the first to reach his location so she was the one to go through the events of Chapter 1, and wound up with ol' Valkie in her head as a result. She'd provided a lot of help dealing with Revan and Ziost, and Lana knew her skills were legit (not just Anyone can win the Great Hunt or kill a Republic Chancellor before they're 25), so they weren't just gonna leave her to rot in Arcann's trophy room. She stepped up to lead kind of unintentionally, mostly acting on adrenaline in-the-moment, but it worked out pretty damn well.
Varrich: One of three AUs where Terrin isn't Outlander/Commander, he arrived about the same time as Terrin (but she made it to her own ship, while Varrich was blocked off from his like in-game). Being Havoc Squad's CO, he was a natural leader and had done a lot to single-handedly change the tide of war, so no one really asked questions about him taking charge. Much to their mistake...
Xaerez: Reversing places with Terrin in Canon V'ehsz, he arrived to Wild Space before my other Main Eight. He tried to shrink back to the shadows after he was rescued from carbonite, but he kind of unintentionally put himself in the spotlight when it came to the Zakuul situation ("killing" the Immortal Emperor, escaping "prison," then Lots of Knights trying to arrest you as a result, kind of Does That). His Alliance doesn't have an official leader for longer than the other four and almost collapses as a result, but he just kind of falls into that place much to his discomfort because of his intelligence, planning capabilities, and Imperial Intelligence/SIS skills in general.
Synnda: He pretty much follows Terrin's/the game's reasoning step-for-step. In his case, he's welcomed as Commander because he's actually had experience with (admittedly small) armies when it came to his Esh-ka, Voss, and Rift Alliance allies. The Alliance is a huge step up from them, but if he could hold all those together to be such a massive tide-turner on Corellia, it gave other members hope that he could lead them to victory in this, too. Him being the Barsen'thor didn't hurt, either.
6. Are there any NPC’s from the class stories you’d like to see/HC join the Alliance? Ex: Master Timmns, Ardun Kothe, Watcher One, etc
Yep! Master Timmns is actually in my Alliance, for one (I think I even mention it in Azan's bio? idr but if not I'll have to edit it). He and my Wrath got in contact and worked together again when the galaxy went to shit after Zakuul's discovery. Together, they survived the Eternal Fleet and even struck against lone ships when they could afford the risk. When the Wrath was contacted by Theron about the Alliance, they both joined.
I have actually thought about Kothe interacting with it, too. For Outlander!Xaerez, he has to compose himself to keep from shooting the man on the spot, and turns him away then and there without explaining it to his people (ex-Jedi? SIS? come on, Commander, he could be of so much use to the cause!) which causes some tension for a while. I've thought of him being part of Alliance Intelligence for a while, though (Terrin's just Real Careful to keep him stationed Away from Xaerez after the Last Time their resident ex-Cipher Nine saw him........)
Shara/Watcher Two temporarily joins it, too! I've been developing a headcanon for a while that over the five-year gap, she worked with Theron and Xaerez building a contact network and, while she Did get really bitter and almost hostile toward Xaerez for a while after finding out he'd been an SIS spy while working under her, and idk if they ever quite repair what had once been almost friendship, she does see that the Alliance is for the greater good of the galaxy and not just a single faction, so helps through KOTFE/ET before going off-the-radar. She's not really Empire anymore, but also didn't wish to actively cause harm to it like the Alliance was starting to.
There's some others I've at least considered, but I'll leave it at those three for now to keep it from getting too long!
11. Favorite place in the Alliance base?
Terrin: Cantina! She loved a good drink and/or party after a rough battle, and has just always loved the atmosphere cantinas have.
Varrich: Military hangar. Once a soldier, always a soldier, in the eyes of Outlander!Varrich. There's a reason the speeches are held there, and for him, it's not just the space in the room.
Xaerez: Commander's private quarters. It's the only place he can really be himself anymore.
Synnda: His isn't in the base, but just outside of it. The cliff just above the Commander's landing pad? Right there. Up there, he can see everything he's worked so hard for, why he fights - and also gets a beautiful view of a beautiful planet.

Whumptober 2022 Day 14: Die A Hero Or Live Long Enough to Become a Villain Desperate Measures | Failed Escape | “I’ll be right behind you.”
Star Wars: The Old Republic Commander!Varrich AU Characters: Varrich Tophrik (Meteor - Mirialan), Synnda V'ehsz (Barsen'thor - Zabrak) Warnings: Violence, Blood, Murder
---------------
He never liked going back to Zakuul.
It made his blood boil, seeing the beautiful structures, hearing the chattering and laughing civilians, with no signs that their world was at war.
So, maybe he relished the appearance of the building he’d all but crashed into, in ruin. Shards of glass, threatening to fall hundreds of meters to the ground below. Civilians whimpering, screaming, hunkering down to dodge blaster bolts and flying debris from explosions.
It was the least the damned Spire deserved.
A whisper in his ear—Valkorian? or the Force itself? he couldn’t be sure, not with how unfamiliar he was with the accursed thing having been Force-blind all his life up until he found an ex-Emperor taking up residence in his mind—made him whip around with his rifle poised.
His first shot was deflected by the Knight’s pike, as was the second.
But once he was in range, Varrich reached out.
His prosthetic still felt odd. Clunky. Three fingers instead of five strange to get used to. But the experimental metal held true: When the blade of the pike hit his palm, he was able to shove it away with naught but singed paint.
The Knight’s shocked pause was all he needed. With that same limb, he lashed out—aiming for his neck, to tear at the fabric between his helmet and chest. The claws that made up the ends of the digits did just that, and blood spilled onto the metal as the Knight gasped and grasped for his own neck.
He drew his hand back as the Knight collapsed at his feet, flexed the fingers testily even as blood pooled by one boot. Perhaps he could show Arcann just how nasty his new prosthetic could be… he thought bitterly. Oggurobb had eagerly suggested a poison implant for the clawtips to dispense. It would be a perfect way to return the favor.
Sneering as the Knight choked on his own blood, Varrich used a heavy boot to shove him out of the way before continuing on through the building. He was after…a schematic. He found he didn’t really care what it was for, not when his head scientist had started rambling about it. It was something to make his job easier, and it gave the Commander an excuse to test the upgrades on his new arm on…volunteers, the doctor had cheerfully called them.
Theron had already split off to search out the schematic through the building’s files, which had left the Barsen’thor hovering close at the Commander’s side. Varrich couldn’t particularly say he was fond of having the Jedi somewhere nearby, shrouded by the Force somewhere in the shadows.
Once, he’d respected the man. Called him an ally, trusted him.
Now when they locked eyes, there was distrust and they studied each other like specimens under a microscope.
V’ehsz had noticed long ago, long before nearly anyone else, that Varrich’s time in carbonite had changed him “for the worst,” according to the Jedi. He’d been the first to murmur uncertainties about naming him Commander, would be the first to speak out against his plans and not back down when a heated glare landed on him.
And now he was here.
The Jedi was only there to keep an eye on him.
Varrich’s skin crawled with growing anger.
Each Knight and Skytrooper to cross his path made it spark hotter. Each civilian to scramble away begging, brought his irritation higher.
And then it happened.
V’ehsz had stepped out of his shroud of shadows and Force energy to open a door with his weapon. Inside, were two civilians.
The Jedi’s words were soothing as he assured no harm to them, even as Varrich shoved past to start tearing through drawers and datapads. Though both were quiet, Varrich could feel the other watching him—yet, every time he glanced up to silently challenge the other’s stare, V’ehsz was reading over files or pocketing the occasional drive.
The civilians murmured to each other (their Emperor wouldn’t stand for this, Arcann would have their heads, they were dead men). V’ehsz didn’t pay their words any mind. Varrich felt his lip curling into a snarl the longer the pair whispered to each other. The longer they threatened Arcann’s wrath, the longer they pointed out Varrich’s hand and promised their Emperor would do the same to the other.
“We’ve got everything,” Varrich said instead.
The Jedi only nodded as he dragged his eyes over the room one more time. “Then we should go. Theron has the schematic.”
Varrich tipped his head toward the door. “I’ll be right behind you. This file needs to finish uploading to my drive.” He kept his voice carefully even. As he expected, V’ehsz locked eyes with the visor of his helmet. He was hesitating.
“That’s an order. Get the shuttle ready; I’ll be there shortly.”
And he was gone.
The Commander locked his jaw and waited many long moments, until Valkorian himself spoke up that the pest was gone.
And he drew his weapon.
For the first time in a long time, his hands shook. His remaining one, he felt sweat slick the inside of his glove; the prosthetic, clicked against the stock of his rifle. He took a breath to calm his own nerves and steady his hands as the two civilians cowered back into a corner as the barrel of a rifle stared them down.
One shot.
One body went still.
The second missed as the other scrambled away.
The third and fourth met their marks, and he fell as still as his comrade.
Varrich felt himself locked in place. His prosthetic was creaking from how tightly his hands gripped at his weapon. Maybe his eyes would have even been wide could he see them, or face pallid.
He’d never fired upon unarmed civilians before.
And yet… He couldn’t bring himself to feel guilt for it.
They’d deserved it.
They’d serve as examples to Zakuul what he was willing to do.
He was in the right.
He was.
Really.

I've been thinking about how different the Star Fortress raids would go for my legacy depending on which Commander's universe it is
Most of it is more or less the same, some get swapped around a little or someone else might replace someone for the strike teams
But it keeps coming down to Xaerez and the Voss Fortress being the big change
In all but one of these AUs, Andur was their mole. They didn't know it was Andur himself who sent the Fortress and Exarch information to the Alliance, but it was him indeed. He wants the Fortresses gone. All they're doing is causing pain, and who better to take out ALL of them than the Alliance?
In canon V'ehsz, with Terrin as Commander, Xae meets a hesitant Exarch Andur. Andur is a sad, broken man. He loves his planet, his people. He doesn't love Emperor Arcann and how much his rule is hurting the rest of the galaxy. He's more aloof toward Xae, but protects him from his own forces as he overrides controls in the Fortress. Andur is willing to die when the Fortress goes down, but Xaerez talks him out of it, talks him into helping them take Arcann off the throne.
Terrin's Andur doesn't officially join the Alliance. He helps deal with the Throne, with Vaylin, then goes back to Zakuul. He's one of the Alliance's most trusted contacted with its ally in Zakuul, he's a Knight Captain, but... well, guilt can hold one in a chokehold for a long time.
Synnda's Alliance, Andur is ready and willing to go with Xaerez. Synnda is a negotiator and a peacekeeper, but he's not weak. He can defend his people, his power in the Force can be felt by Andur, he knows when it'stime to raise his weapon, but he's not a tyrant. He's soft-spoken, a protector - he's what Andur would have wanted in an Emperor after Valkorion's apparent death.
Andur officially joins Synnda's Alliance, and becomes, more or less, its Zakuul senator.
Xaerez's Alliance, Andur is unsure of. Xae is a spy. A liar. So many horrible things he's done come to the surface when he's made Commander.
But Andur also sees that he's genuinely trying to save the galaxy. And, AND, he reasons, here he is. Right there, in Andur's Fortress where he could easily be killed. Here he is, with poor combat skills, ready to die for his cause, to destroy this Fortress. THAT, thinks Andur, is a leader. So he protects Xaerez from his own forces, and accepts his offer to help take down the Throne.
But....then there's Varrich's Alliance. Andur is afraid of it. It's as bad as Arcann. It's a weapon, he's a tyrant. Between Arcann and Varrich, there's no winning either way, no matter whose forces reign victorious.
This Alliance follows the game more closely, he sends multiple scout teams to look through the Fortresses before the Real Deal coordinated strike.
Andur defends his Fortress from another tyrant's invaders.
...and Xaerez fails. The Voss Fortress remains standing, hours after the others are nothing but debris orbiting their planets. The Voss Fortress remains, with a still body laying prone on the floor.
Xaerez doesn't survive.
Varrich takes a large team to attack the Fortress. Theron finds the body of the man he loved. Andur dies at Varrich's hands while a saboteur slices the computer systems.
And Xaerez's body is destroyed with the Fortress.
And Theron finally starts to question and lose faith in the terrible Commander he follows.

Escape
The years had ticked by at a slow crawl.
The cell, always just cold enough to be uncomfortable. The food, always brought when it had already cooled. It was prepared with a Human in mind, so the Zabrak was never quite sated as he picked out what meat could be found.
His hair had grown out too long. All he could do was tie it back with torn fabric, and hope no strands would come loose to fall around his horns and into his eyes. They did anyway.
Yellow eyes, practically aglow in the dim cell, watched the Knight outside with such intensity that he started to shift uncomfortably as he sensed the stare on the back of his head.
He was tired. Always so tired. He knew it was the collar at his neck, numbing his senses, making any attempts to wield the Force sluggish and clumsy. They wanted him docile. They wanted him easy to control. He was dangerous to them, but they wanted him alive.
The days continued to drag on, and on, and on, until...
"Prisoner unresponsive..." the Knight tasked with guarding his cell growled anxiously. He unlocked the door without second thought, knelt by the curled up, still form of what had once been the mighty Barsen'thor of the Jedi Order. He shook the man - Synnda could sense his growing unease and desperation as he did it again, then-
The Knight's startled cry cut out before it could truly leave his throat with a sickening crack. And it was there, where he'd knelt, that he collapsed to the floor of the cell and Synnda was on his feet in an instant.
He'd spent a long time studying the guard schedule. Learning their ticks, their personalities. He'd waited with so much patience, for just the right moment, and now...
Not a word, not a sound, as he searched the guard - keycard, saber pike, and... ah. There it is.
He grit his teeth together as he brought the device up to his collar. It chirped softly in his ear and he squeezed his eyes shut against the tears as the claws retracted from his neck, from where they were embed so dangerously close around his spine, and caught it with one hand before it could clatter against the floor.
A shaky breath to steady himself, wiping a bare hand over the trickles of blood it left behind, and he finally straightened.
One glance to the Knight's still form - his neck twisted unnaturally - a silent prayer in his mind to rest well with the Force, and he shrouded himself in it.
He could feel the shadows close in around him, welcomed them like old friends as he felt the familiar pressure on his chest. Move slowly, he reminded himself. They can't see you, but may still sense you.
It was almost two hours before the body was found in his former cell. Only minutes after, that the prison went into lockdown - the Knights didn't realize until even longer that he was already long gone.
A few hours more, and the former Cipher Nine had sent a contact to rendezvous with him to get him off Zakuul. And it was then, and only then, that he could finally relay what he'd discovered.
The Grand Champion - the "Outlander" - was located. It was time to free her and track the remainder of the old team. To find the whereabouts of the MIA Darth Nox, and Havoc Commander, the Battlemaster and the Wrath and even the Voidhound - they'd need all of them and more, but...
Arcann would finally fall.

The Barsen'thor was too dangerous to be kept alive...
but also too useful to kill.
Emperor Arcann made a fatal mistake in imprisoning him, for he discovered the whereabouts of the "Outlander" and escaped. He later aided in freeing her, and went on to become a founding member and high-ranking officer of the Eternal Alliance.
testing out Krita, so wanted to sketch something quick!
drawing Synnda with hair was... strange. but I've always figured that it grew out over the years he was imprisoned, and it irritated him to no end

SWTOR Character Meme
wasn't tagged, but stole this from....well I've been seeing it all over my dash the last few days, so lots of people! akld;jsdk
open tag since I think most people have been tagged for it already
Do you have more Imperial or Republic characters?
just counting my main server (Star Forge):
16 Imperial, 13 Republic (across all severs, I have more Pub toons by one - not counting clones/alt versions of characters). divided up into:
Knights (3): Leo (75, guardian), Karn (27, sentinel), Avena (18, sentinel)
Consulars (4): Synnda (75, shadow), Alvihr (75, sage), Lina (68, sage), Feymark (3, shadow)
Troopers (4): Varrich (75, vanguard), Jessi (75, commando), Kaiba (15, vanguard), Zip (11, commando)
Smugglers (2): Jen (75, gunslinger), Kitty (15, scoundrel)
Warriors (4): Azan (75, juggernaut), Raphios (75, juggernaut), Kavaari (51, marauder), Liakige (48, marauder)
Inquisitors (4): Qizulth (75, sorcerer), Ehna'dissen (75, sorcerer), Hera (35, sorcerer), Ataiqo (31, assassin)
Bounty Hunters (4): Terrin (75, powertech), Chakem (75, mercenary), Max (75, powertech), Chanet (23, mercenary)
Agents (4): Xaerez (75, sniper), Rehn'den (75, sniper), Alvarey (75, sniper), Azu'ma (75, operative)
Which class do you play as the most?
virulence sniper is my main! Xaerez is at 999 renown if that says anything-
Which race to you play as the most?
totally not Cathar. nope. not at all- (4 on SF, currently 9 across all servers, not counting clones)
in all seriousness, though? I see people say Cathar customization is sooo limited, so I'm very proud of how unique all of my kitties are <3 (with the exception of the bottom right sisters, but they're supposed to look similar)
How many have completed KotFE/KotET?
5: Terrin (V'ehsz Canon Outlander/Commander), Synnda, Xaerez, Qizulth, Varrich.
I guess technically Karn, too? but it was his OG version that I deleted so I could remake him
How many have completed up to Secrets of the Enclave?
3: Terrin, Xaerez, Varrich
Who stayed loyal to their class romance? Who didn’t?
Stayed loyal: Terrin (Torian), Lina (Felix) - might?? have Kaiba romance Jorgan. undecided yet. Feymark might?? romance Nadia since Canon Fey isn't her master/is close to her age and it wouldn't have that power imbalance
Didn't: Jen (OG Jen romanced Akaavi, but I retconned it when I remade him cause I didn't like their chemistry)
Who started a romance with Lana, Theron, or Koth?
While I never talked about it, I actually had TWO toons romance Theron. the first was OG Karn which...didn't end well. I'd wanted to see the Theron romance and ended up choosing the Worst Possible Character for it, so that's why I never mention it. Xaerez romanced him, too, and it's canon for his story
Raphios is in the process of doing the Lana romance, I just need to finish Yavin with them so I can continue the romance
and both Synnda and Chakem are romancing Koth (polyship)
Who is your oldest (having played the longest)?
Synnda! He was my OG toon (I can't remember when I started playing, rip), the one my legacy shares a name with (Synnda V'ehsz / V'ehsz Legacy), and he has, ah...quite a few clones scattered across the various severs. OG Synnda is more or less retired on Satele Shan, and the version I currently play on Star Forge is an Outlander Token clone, but yeah! he's my oldest
Who is your newest?
Feymark! for my pub-side HM prog team, I figured I should proooobably make a shadow tank for those fights that shroud is important (only had vanguard or guardian tanks before), so that's what Fey was created for
he's actually Kitty's kid that he had, and gave up for Fey's safety, when he was younger and fleeing the Empire. Fey knew this (or at least part of it) thanks to his adoptive parents, and while it saddened him he didn't hold a grudge against Kitty (undecided if he'll ever actually meet Kitty, or at least know Kitty's one of his biological parents)
he's half-Miraluka, and "sees" better through the Force than with his eyes. he grew up wanting to help people, and provides aid for Alliance relief efforts into later V'ehsz Canon
in-game he's a Jedi shadow, but canonically he's neither Jedi nor Sith, and also not interested in taking part in the Alliance's Force Enclave. due to lack of training, his Force abilities are limited to natural Force-sight as a result of his species, and using it randomly/lashing out in times of severe emotional distress

Ive been thinking about this for a few days, now
So, I was logged in with Qizulth, fixing his dark side corruption because I'd forgotten to turn it on for his new outfit
And I noticed
Synnda's complexion option is like Identical to Dark 2/3 corruption - darker around his eyes, the veins in his face more prominent, BRIGHT yellow eyes
And it got me thinking
What if he IS actually corrupted. Not from like Using it, but the shielding technique???? Dude. He literally pulled darkness into himself to protect those Masters from it. And he FREED Vivicar, instead of destroying Terrak Morhage, so he's probably still withholding a lot of that darkness he drew out of the Masters/Vivicar
When I eventually replay him (again...), I'm Heavily Considering adjusting his complexion slightly throughout chapter 1. And with him being so freakin light-sided it would really take a toll on him
Outlander!Synnda actually uses the dark side to some degree. Not nearly as much as a Sith or to be noticeable by someone Force-blind, but a Jedi would still probably call him out on it, or At Least raise a brow. So it doesn't affect him as much in that AU
But then Canon Synnda? He'd have a much harder time coping with it
OOOO and maybe when he and Key are on the Star Fortress, and Synnda practically crushes the Exarch before dropping her into the reactor? Key can sense that he was channeling the dark side there
He has a hard time holding himself together sometimes, because he never really fully recovered from the shielding. So while Outlander!Synnda learns to cope with it, Canon has a much harder time
And I'm Debating having him talk to Key about it. Like. Those two practically see each other like brothers as they get to know one another better. And maaaayyyybe??? Key can actually help him to a degree?? hmmmmm
OR YUON. Gahhh I'd love him to have a heart-to-heart with his former Master about his struggles, and asks for her guidance just One Last Time
#swtor#jedi consular#blitz rambles#blitz's ocs#oc: synnda v'ehsz#and like. can u Imagine the first time he reports back to the council#with Obvious corruption in his face#and yet hes never been reported to stray from the jedi code#or harness dark side abilities???#it would explain why he starts wearing the masks too

V'ehsz Legacy: Jedi Consulars
Synnda V'ehsz
He/him - Zabrak (Cyborg) - Serenity Shadow
Server: Star Forge, Darth Malgus, Satele Shan
SO: Koth Vortena & Chakem Vira (dating, polycule)
Alignment: Light
Synnda is my legacy's canon Consular. He becomes the Alliance Commander's right hand man when it comes to negotiations, and is also highly trusted with planning and sits in on officer meetings. When it starts dealing more with other factions, he becomes the Alliance's lead diplomat, and tends to be its voice when the Commander isn't there.
He has two AU versions: Outlander (pictured above), and Role Reversal (in which he's Sith in a "what if" type AU)
Lina Tophrik
She/her - Mirialan - Seer Sage
Server: Star Forge
SO: Felix Iresso (married)
Alignment: Light, somewhat leans gray
Twin sister to my canon Trooper, and apprentice to Synnda in everything but name. When the Alliance comes to be, she sheds her title of Jedi, brandishes a blaster instead of a saber, and provides her healing abilities to the Alliance.
Alvihr
She/her - Cathar (Cyborg) - Telekinetics Sage/Rage Juggernaut
Server: Star Forge
SO: Zetaa Ryn (dating)
Alignment: Dark
Touched by corruption on Oricon, she became addicted to the dark side of the Force and began to carry out murders in what she believed was the greater good, to the point of eventually becoming a serial killer. She's later recruited to the Alliance as an assassin.
Zetaa Ryn
She/ze/they - Togruta - Infiltration Shadow/Deception Assassin
Server: Darth Malgus
SO: Alvihr (dating)
Alignment: Gray, leans dark
Partnered with Alvihr, and aided in freeing her from the Dread Masters' hold over her. Has always acted on emotion/impulse, so didn't take much convincing for her to accompany Alvihr in carrying out murders on those they thought were deserving. Later recruited to the Alliance as a spy/assassin.
Feymark Ehn
Any pronouns - Miraluka/Sith Pureblood - Kinetic Combat Shadow
Server: Star Forge
SO: Single
Alignment: Gray, leans dark
Child of K'hedif from his time hiding from the Empire on backwater worlds, Fey was sent to the Jedi as an infant since his Miraluka father couldn't care for him and Kitty had already left the picture. They went MIA as a Padawan after an animal attack, and grew up part of the Warstalkers who found them wandering and covered in Cthon blood. He later follows Qyzen to the Alliance, providing their skills as a hunter and warrior. They can speak Basic, but have a heavy, hissing accent.
