🕯on a scale from 1 to 10 how much do you enjoy editing? why is that?
I'd say... a solid 7? I usually edit a bit as I go, simply because I might come up with something that impacts a situation that happened earlier and I need to go back and change that while I remember it. I also edit once I'm done to try and catch any left behind half-finished sentences. It's good, it meeds to be done, but sometimes I feel like I need to know when to stop before I veer off and edit things into oblivion.

Space AU series by kuurama (AO3)
Run, don't walk, SPRINT LIKE USAIN BOLT TO THIS SERIES. Had me from the first sentence of the first part until the very last sentence of the second part, at which point I had cried more times than I care to admit. Gorgeous prose, continuously makes you sit back and have an existential crisis. 10/10 would be destroyed again.
Besane Su Naše Noći by @mitochondriencocktail and @mewnyan
Honestly, anything by these two geniuses, but this one especially. Can't walk past Dumle without having to clutch my chest to make sure my heart won't escape me. So soft, and with the kind of hope that makes you feel tender at the edges.
lovefool by @punanenmarli
The amount of screaming I have done over this. It is hilarious, it is angsty, it is deliciously filthy and Jere's thirst tweeting is a delight. You will want to punch Bojan, though. A little.
mun ainoa oikea satama by @frikatilhi
I don't have words for how much this fic fucked me up when I read it the first time. And the second. And third. I felt like my heart was being pulverized throughout, trying to yell at Bojan, at Jere, at the mere thought that there could be a world where they are not what they are to each other.
Black Treacle by slightlysexualfiction (AO3)
A goddamn MASTERPIECE. Fucking glorious progression that builds and builds and you become so invested in both Jan and Nace and the something that is brewing between them. Whenever I get the update notification I immediately have to go sit down because I know that one way or the other, it will take me out.
The Marks on Our Skin by @electron-road-suspect
I love ERS's Kinktober verse with all my heart and whatever shreds remain of my soul, but soulmate AUs will always own me, and this one is so gorgeous and clever in its concept and execution, and though I thoroughly swoon at the two main constellations, it was the bonus chapter that truly took me out.
Do you think we'll be in love forever? by ate_my_brain (AO3)
An absolutely devastating what if scenario that feels so real I constantly ask myself if we're not looking at a very, very possible future. Heartbreaking, jawdropping, consistently mindblowing prose.
ljubili se (in se igrali) series by xianvar (AO3 + tumblr but tumblr refused to make it a tag)
I have gone back and reread this [redacted] amount of times. Like. I am in constant AWE at the emotional heft in this, it keeps hitting me every damn time, and I think xia may be one of my favourite Jance authors in the fandom.

I FINALLY GOT TO YOUR MESSAGE BESTIEEEE i was scared of answering it during the week because i knew it would take me ages.
Excluding the questions I've answered to other ppl, obv. THIS IS JUST A PART 1 OF ALL YOUR QUESTIONS.
What’s the lie your character says most often?
Atcham: he doesn't really lie enough to have a reoccuring one. He just says whatever comes to his mind, I think. Kerubim: literally everything he says is a lie. Especially when talking about past events. He will randomly make shit up, even while knowing that the other two KNOW that he's doing that. Joris: "I am in awe of your intelligence, your majesty. This will be a wonderful move, even if it may upset the leaders of Brakmar."
How loosely or strictly do they use the word ‘friend’?
Atcham: he doesn't, except for saying it ironically. Kerubim: anyone he's known for longer than an hour. Joris: likely to apply this word to people with whom he shared 2 near-death experiences with, because now they are connected through the Cosmic Bonds of Fate.
What would you (mun) yell in the middle of a crowd to find them? What would their best friend and/or romantic partner yell?
I'm not imaginative enough to say what I would yell, but I know what they'd yell to one another.
Atcham: "Someone is mistreating Brakmarian steel swords" Kerubim: "There are discount 90yo chairs here" Joris: "Khan merch from 200 years ago?!"
All of them love buying stuff, so yeah.
If someone was impersonating them, what would friends / family ask or do to tell the difference?
Atcham: any specific-ass sword facts. Kerubim: what were you doing in Bonta 610 years ago in a boutique with your girlfriend at 10 o'clock and what colour was her dress. Joris: what time he worked until last night. Any answer that isn't "3-4am" is sus.
A more emotional answer is that across 600 years they probably have got a lot of some very hyperspecific things to ask one another.
How do they put out a candle?
Sadly, I think they all just blow on it. Maybe clap and then it magically disappears. I am not a candle expert (candxpert).
What do they notice first in the mirror versus what most people first notice looking at them?
Atcham: most people notice he's bald. he, too, notices that, and never fails to think that it's off-putting. Kerubim: most people noitce how fluffy he is. Kerubim himself notices some random knots in his fur. It's very knot-prone, and he's a bit lazy about brushing his fur. Joris: most people think he's a child, or if they don't they still notice his height. While Joris's daily concern with the mirror is "do I need to tear out some new scales? [checks chin] [checks neck] [checks cheeks] [checks his head]"
What common etiquette do they disagree with? Do they still follow it?
Atcham: all of it, and no, he doesn't. Kerubim: I don't think he gives a fuck in general. Joris: all of it, yet he still follows. He hates hierarchical things, and he hates hyper specific fork and knife rules, and he hates the way teachers expect children to rise from their tables and bow and greet them, before the classes. But he copes and seethes silently, his whole life. He appreciates the way these things make him come off as more respectable than he may really be, though.
If invited to a TED Talk, what topic would they present on? What would the title of their presentation be?
Atcham: the Brakmarian approach to building pipe bom—— Kerubim: how to survive your 5th divorce. Joris: why you don't need any relationships or friendly acquaintances outside your family and why that's healthy actually.
What’s something unimportant / frivolous that they hate passionately?
Atcham: Kerubim's tolerance of customers that can be psychologically destroyed instead. Kerubim: Atcham keeps scaring away the customers (Joris does too, but it's a "his noble X vs. Atcham's barbaric Y" situation.) Joris: Kerubim keeps adding way too much sugar to coffee and makes tea way too dilute. It makes him dream of killing both him and himself.

fight like a girl
an eirika meta
Throughout the main plot of FE8 there is a prevalent theme of weakness (and to overcome it). I cannot speak for every character in the game*, obviously, but I would love to share my thoughts on how this theme relates to Eirika and her character as a whole.
Below the cut will feature major FE8 (Sacred Stones) spoilers, support conversation spoilers, and a very minor trigger warning for inc*st (relating to the story of Sieglinde/Signy, NOT Eirika herself). Overall it is very quote heavy.
*All characters mentioned I do not hold authority over besides Eirika herself. Any mentions of their motivations or thoughts will be backed up using canon sources/text, but I disclaim that any muns (present or future) may have added more context to these canon quotes.
Act I: Weakness.
First I feel as if it’s important to establish some context about Magvel as a whole. Before the events of Sacred Stones (which for my sanity I will be shortening to SacStones), Magvel had lived in relative peace for around 800 years. Though not 100% canonical, it can be assumed that because of this Renais did not even have a proper, full scale army ready for any sort of war. There are mentions in the opening that because of the suddenness, Renais had been unable to “mount any resistance”— obviously we know there are knights in Renais, but war was far from everyone’s minds.
With this in mind, it’s safe to say that Eirika would also have no reason to suspect that the peaceful land of Magvel would ever be home to any sort of unrest, nevermind a full scale war between Renais and Grado, their greatest ally. Even in flashback sequences with Eirika she states that her purpose for training is not because she expects any sort of fight to break out, but rather because she felt burdened by the fact that she relied so heavily on Ephraim to protect her (and Ephraim should he ever need it).
Eirika: “I do not like uncivilized behavior. I think one can solve one’s problems without fighting. And yet…” Ephraim: “And yet what?” Eirika: “I’ve always relied on you to protect me, Brother. I would rather not be such a burden to you in the future. So, I thought maybe I should learn to protect myself…”
But even despite this training (and from Lyon we learn that Eirika is potentially on par with Ephraim in terms of their strength in battle), none of this prepares Eirika for the true horrors of war. A spar between siblings or friends could never show her the true depravities of war.
Eirika: “I’m fine… Fine. …This is war, isn’t it? It’s not at all like the games I used to play with my brother or Lyon. I never thought– I didn’t know it would be this…savage. Are words useless? Is strength all that matters? It’s so sad… Why would the Grado Empire do this? To what end would they start a war?”
(With Saleh) Eirika: “No, no… When Grado invaded Renais, I was paralyzed. I couldn’t do anything. It is only because of the sacrifices of others that I could even escape.”
To conclude this section, we have established that Eirika has a belief that her own sacrifices cannot be weighed on the same scale as those who fight alongside her. She has lost her home, her family, and those who live on Renais soil are meant to look to her for guidance— and yet, she is just a young woman trying to take in all of the changes and responsibilities that have been thrusted upon her so suddenly. Never had she prepared for war, nor was she ever meant to be a leader, and still she looks down on herself for her own perceived failure at a role she should never have had to be placed in.
Act II: Innocence.
This was touched upon slightly in the last section, but there is an innocence about Eirika that plays a hand in this weakness of hers. When speaking with Ephraim and Lyon in a flashback, it is stated that Ephraim is considered to have the strength of a future ruler, while Lyon holds the compassion needed to rule. Where does this leave Eirika, exactly? She holds a strength on par with Ephraim, while still wishing to solve this war with words— because of this, I believe that Eirika is meant to be directly in the middle of them both. In a way she could be considered a perfect ruler— strong yet compassionate— even if she is to never take the throne herself.
The importance comes more so from her loss of innocence. I believe that this is the first point where she begins to accept her own weaknesses, which is the first step to overcoming it. In CH6, ‘Victims of War’, Eirika is given a choice by the villain Novala: surrender one of the keys to the sacred stones (though she is, at the time, unaware of its exact importance) or a young child will be sacrificed to a monster. Without hesitation she offers up her bracelet, only for Novala to throw the child and her family to the monsters regardless. With this in place, we get one of my absolutely favourite pieces of Eirika dialogue.
Eirika: “Why…why would you… How can you do such a thing?” Novala: “This is WAR! There are no rules here! In war, you can do anything! Anything! You curs of Renais have lost! Your idiotic ravings mean nothing…” Eirika: “Enough. Hold your tongue.” Novala: “Wha…what?!” Eirika: “I… We, the people of Renais, have long honored our allegiance with the Grado Empire. And you invaded without warning. You ravaged our land. You killed my father… Even then, I told myself, I must not hate Grado or her people. If I gave in to my hate, the bond between our lands would be lost forever. I refused to hate. Instead, I lived for the day our nations would know peace again. But… If this is Grado’s true face… If you could extinguish Renais without pity, without remorse… If this is the case, then there is no room in my heart for forgiveness.”
Before this moment, there was still hope in Eirika’s heart for a resolution with words, that this war could be ended simply by talk— but now she has realized the tactics of Grado are vicious and underhanded, that they do not care for the lives of innocent civilians. Finally she learns that this is no longer the Grado she has known since childhood. Eirika learns what war is really about.
This is not the complete end of her innocence, seeing as she still has hope in saving Lyon from his possession to the point where she gives him a sacred stone— Eirika’s hope does not die, but the ugliness of the world is now something she is well aware of and willing to see.
ACT III: Womanhood.
This section will (hopefully) not be too long, but it is something that we really can't avoid when speaking about a female character: Eirika, like many others, experiences misogyny, both outright and in themes used throughout the game. This section does go over the story of Sieglinde, and though none of the actual inc*st will be brought up, I will warn for it regardless.
We begin with some small pieces of in game text that could be used to argue that Eirika was never expected to be the saviour of Magvel in any capacity. Once Eirika rescues a village from bandits, a villager says this:
Man: “Oh, Renais is finished, mark my words. The Grado Empire’s stolen our future. Our only hope against them was that Prince Ephraim would prevail, but… Rumor has it that he’s on the verge of being crushed by Grado’s vast numbers. These are dark days. Travel with care.”
For the sake of clarity, it is important to know that this man may not be aware that Eirika is the Princess of Renais— but I want to stress the line of “our only hope against them was that Prince Ephraim would prevail,” there is no mention that the Princess offers any sort of hope for her people. Again, we could argue that maybe the people of Renais are under the assumption that their Princess has died, but we have no text that I’m aware of to prove or disprove this. To hear this from your people, after just protecting them, I personally think would cause me to feel lesser to my brother. This paired with Fire Emblem taking place in a more medieval setting can lead to the belief that because she is a Princess she is not seen by the public as being as strong as a Prince (which we have established is not true in Eirika’s case).
With this we also need to go over how a lot of the men in Eirika’s life have essentially let her down, causing a lot of these issues that have plagued her. As mentioned at the start I am not speaking for these characters and why they did or said these things, I am just explaining how they are seen by my portrayal of Eirika.
First we begin with Ephraim. At the beginning of the game, Ephraim has left on his own to fight on the front lines of Grado, and though it was to help Renais as a whole, he left behind his sister and father during a great time of need. It is here that Eirika’s ability to protect herself comes into play— her brother, who once said it is his duty to protect his sister has gone, and no longer can she rely on him. This is obviously a point of growth for Eirika, but she is also left to deal with the grief of their father all on her own.
And then we have Lyon. There is a lot to say about Lyon, really! He is very important for the analysis of Eirika’s growth and how, despite everything, she believes in his kindness and compassion above all. However, part of his distorted desires towards Eirika are reason why the majority of her pain has begun. Obviously his love for Eirika is not the only reason he toyed with the stones, and the quote below is Formortiis speaking so these words could be very well bent to not represent his true feelings, but they are still what Eirika hears.
Evil Lyon: "Rejoice, Lyon. The time has come… Ephraim, the man you envy… Eirika, the woman you desire… I will now grant you all of your darkest wishes!"
To her, it sounds as if she is seen not as a friend, nor an equal, but instead as a prize to be won. Even if she knows Lyon has seen her as strong in the past, these words still pierce her heart. Her father and countrymen have died over a lot that she would have likely returned, all things considered— but instead she was not given this choice.
Finally I will touch upon her personal weapon Sieglinde. This is where the trigger warning comes in. Though this section isn’t long skip ahead to Act IV if uncomfortable.
The story of Sieglinde and Siegmund come from the of ‘Die Walküre’, or ‘The Valkyrie’. In this tale, Sieglinde was taken away from her family and forced to wed a man by the name of Hunding. When Siegmund arrives to their home for one reason or another, she is a damsel in distress— the man who can draw the sword Nothung is to be her saviour, which guess what! That’s Siegmund. Throughout this opera Sieglinde does very little to save herself, relying on Siegmund’s help and later Brünnhilde (feminism win?). Even when Siegmund dies she claims that she cannot continue living on without him, and only finds a reason to live when she learns his child is inside of her (WE DO NOT HAVE TIME TO UNPACK THIS).
Tldr; WHY DID WE NAME HER WEAPON THIS.
ACT IV: Strength.
We have finally arrived to our final section: strength. Here we will talk about the very ending of the game, and how this has changed Eirika’s perception of her weaknesses…kinda
At the end of the game Eirika faces Lyon just as the resurrection of Formortiis is complete, leaving this with:
Lyon: "Yes… But I’m… I’m almost completely gone. Before I’m lost entirely, I want to apologize. I’m sorry, Eirika. This is all my fault. I was too weak…" Eirika: "You’re not to blame, Lyon. It was the Demon King. He was controlling you…" Lyon: "No, that’s not true, Eirika. When the Demon King reached into me from inside the Dark Stone… When he whispered he would see all my dreams and desires made true… I… I did not reject him. In the shadows of my heart, he saw jealousy… vanity… It was my weakness that put these emotions there, allowed them to thrive." Eirika: "Everyone has weaknesses, Lyon. You’re not the only one. I do. I’m sure my brother does… Don’t hate yourself for having these feelings, please."
We can see there is an acknowledgement of not only that she has these weaknesses, but that there is no shame in having them. No, this does not mean that Eirika has entirely conquered everyone that she feels makes her weak, but just as she says to Lyon, there is no shame in being weak and falling victim to your feelings. In the epilogue with Ephraim she even mentions having similar feelings about grief and sorrow, having thoughts of resurrection.
Eirika: “That would be nice… But first we must seal this away… This stone banished the Demon King. With such power… Do you suppose we could bring back Father and Lyon… That everyone who died in this dreadful war could be–“ Ephraim: “Eirika.” Eirika: “I know, I know. Such things would be– I cannot wish for such things. No matter how it hurts, or rather because it hurts, we must learn to accept sorrow. We must take it into our hearts and tame our grief…”
Yes, in the end she still is weak, she still has these feelings, but in the end she has found the strength to rationalize them. No longer is she a run by these feelings, but they still exist. Overcoming weakness does not always mean eliminating these weaknesses in their entirety, but instead how to control them.
Some of these don’t fit the point but I wanted to talk about Eirika so for making it to the end I give you a kiss.

@cow-stealin-gal, here's some answers to that list of questions you mentioned. You weren't kidding when you said this was a lot of questions. It took me a good hunk of the week to answer them all. Whew!
1. "What's the lie your character says most often?" The usual ones: "I'm/it's fine" "I'm/it's okay" "That doesn't hurt" "I'm peachy keen" etc.
2. "How loosely or strictly do they use the word 'friend'?" she uses terms like "My friend", "My dearest friend", or "My beloved friend" as her relationships evolve, in that order. The first one comes when she is comfortable in TADC.
3. "How often do they show their genuine emotions to others versus just the audience knowing?" She shows her more tender, caring side to the main cast, but the audience sees the beast lurking just beneath the sugary surface...
4. "What's a hobby they used to have that they miss?" See Question 38 below. Thank you :3
5. "Can they cry on command? If so, what do they think about to make it happen?"
6. "What's their favorite [insert anything] (I picked food & clothes) that they've never recommended to anyone before?"
7. "What would you (mun [???]) yell in the middle of a crowd to find them? What would their best friend and/or romantic partner yell?"
8. "How loose is their use of the phrase 'I love you'?" Boa-Constrictor-catching-its-prey loose. Though she never verbally says those three words in that order or anything similar to it, she prefers showing it rather than saying it. Gift-giving & Words of Affirmation are her specialties. Sometimes she is physical though this is sparce.
9. "Do they give tough love or gentle love most often? Which do they prefer to receive?" She is a kind, compassionate soul, but adaptive to an uncanny degree. That being said, her type of 'love' varies from character to character with other elements like the immediate environment/scene/situation, etc. at play.
10. "What fact do they excitedly tell everyone about at every opportunity?" How fast rabbits are & what bugs are the cutest.
11. "If someone was impersonating them, what would friends/family ask or do to tell the difference?" Have a brief scene written specially for this question! >:3
"Do you think you baby us too much?"
"People do not need to be coddled & babied 24/7. Though it is a nice occurrence to happen when you need it to keep your sanity, too much could do just as much harm as not doing it at all. With that out of the way, dearies-." She snatches the smug double by the arms, ears sharpening like downcast horns. Deep & demonic, her voice reverberates through the double's body to dominate any chance of retaliation. "Who the bloody f@ck do you think you are, messing with my friends, you low-budget, dollar-store wonton!?"
Violence censored by a Cain & Bubble-themed 'Technical Difficulties' screen blocks the scene.
12. "What's something that makes them laugh every single time? Be specific!" Really bad jokes. Dad Jokes, puns, & dark humor, mainly.
13. "When do they fake a smile? How often?" She smiles much like Jax but not for the same reasons. She does this smile quite often to try cheering up anyone who may need it. Jax is the exception as he angers her very well.
14. "How do they put out a candle?" When in a good mood, she'll cup her hand behind the flame & blow air with a soft whistle sound. When upset or wishing to look imposing, she'll pinch it out, no finger lick, nothing. Only pinches while holding eye contact with whoever she's attempting to intimidate. The candle (probably) isn't the only thing she would extinguish in this way when put to scale.
15. "What's the most obvious difference between their behavior at home, at work, at school, with friends, and when they're alone?" Publicly, she is a caring, nurturing, understanding, healing influence who is an ambivert. Privately, she is a candle down to her wick's end & ready to bring virtual hellfire upon this plain of childcore-coded torment. Being conducive to everyone's mental & emotional betterment is her sanity's glue & staples at this point.
16. "What kinds of people do they have arguments with in their head?"
17. "What do they notice first in the mirror versus what most people first notice looking at them?"
(18). "Who do they love truly, 100% unconditionally (if anyone)?" Insufficient information on the writer's part. This question will be answered later when the story is more developed.
19. "What would they do if stuck in a room with the person they've been avoiding?"
Option A) Makes peace as best as she can.
Option B) stays silent & keeps her distance (physically, verbally, emotionally, mentally).
Option C) If the first two fail, time to boss up & whoop a blockhead into rubble.
The last one is once in a Blue Moon but can happen if the person she's been avoiding completely ignores her very visible attempts at peace on purpose. If it's out of worry, she returns to Opt A.
20. "Who do they like as a person but hate their work? Vice versa, whose work do they like but don't like the person?" Jax & Cain, for the first half. She loves how laidback Jax is & his impish ways are amusing at times, but she hates when he's malicious & uncaring to the others. She doesn't care about her well-being, only about others, so this is the kindling of her internal conflict. Cain, though charming & charismatic, seemingly caring for his 'cast/friends/coworkers', tends to be a little too much for even her. The unpermitted touching makes this worst. She is not a fan of his activities as they do not entice much brain power to solve & often leaves the crew in danger routinely. Lady loves a good brain scratching when it's safe.
The second half is herself. See, she feels a little guilty about inadvertently putting herself out there as the main maternal figure within the cast when Ragatha was there long before her. Even though she is happy to help everyone reach self-betterment, Ragatha included, she cannot stop the shame from reaching her heart.
21. "What common etiquette do they disagree with? Do they still follow it?" Handshaking. Not everyone is comfortable with physical contact like her so she tries not to do this. She will do this if the person is insistent about it.
22. "What is an example of a simple activity that most people do/can do that scares your character?" Acrobatics & yoga. She isn't too big on heights &/or things that scream "possible body horror" to her.
23. "What do they feel guilty for that the other person(s) doesn't/don't even remember?" How she tried to avoid them when she originally blipped into existence under the digital big top.
24. "Did they take a cookie from the cookie jar? What kind of cookie was it?" No, but if she did it would be a shortbread cookie with raspberry preserves on top.
25. "What subject/topic do they know a lot about that's completely useless to the direct plot?" The amount of rabbit/hare/bunny breeds there are currently & the fun facts for each & every single one of them.
26. "How would they respond to being fired by a good boss?" Takes it on the chin like a champ but is crumbling on the inside.
27. "What's the worst gift they ever received? How did they respond?" Glitter trap from Jax. Cain was going to clean her off with the snap of his fingers but stopped when she started laughing merrily & heartedly. "I love fine glitter! Thank you, Jax!" She actually hates glitter of all kinds, fine or chunky, shaped or not. She only did this to damper Jax's malicious smirk. She let Cain clean the rest of the surroundings but wore that glitter for months just to prove a point. Yes, she's motherly & kind, but she has her peeves & limits. Jax pushes all of it.
28. "What do they tell people they want? What do they actually want?" To help everyone be their best selves. She wants to be the shoulder(s) to cry into, for the crying person's sanity & hers.
29. "How do they respond when someone doesn't believe them?" Understanding. She isn't everyone's container of favored beverage & she knows it. If the situation is too bad for her to be this way, she will get snippy with the person if that person is rude or ignores her words.
30. "When they make a mistake and feel bad, does the guilt differ when it's personal versus when it's professional?" This varies. Bigger the issue/mistake, the worst the emotions & vice versa. She's trying her best though.
31. "When do they feel the most guilt? How do they respond to it?" Whenever someone comes to her for advice or comfort instead of Ragatha. She helps them with whatever they're asking with the usual bonus (if desired by the asker) to bring Ragatha's second opinion into play for possibly better results. Ragatha herself comes to her occasionally to talk over subjects they share interests in.
32. "If they committed one petty crime/misdemeanor, what would it be? Why?" Jaywalking & motor vehicle offenses. Jaywalking because she is not fond of crowded routes &/or places period. Motor Vehicle Offenses (Speeding & running traffic lights) because girlie has no head for speed management & has poor vision at a distance.
34. "How do they greet someone they like/love?" All the warm, soft, cozy vocals you could think of. Hugs are optional. She is careful to note what the liked character does & doesn't like to do.
33. "How do they greet someone they dislike/hate?" Very formally. No warmth, no softness. Cold, hard tones through & through until the person catches on to her behavior. What the character does next determines her behavior onwards. Physical contact is at the negative numbers as is her normally kind adaptability.
35. "What is the smallest, morally questionable choice they've made?" Tricking Jax into a box filled with Gloinks as punishment for his mean actions. Due to her respecting the Gloink Queen unlike any other, aside from Kinger, the Queen granted her leadership of some lesser Gloinks to carry out Jax's retribution. Both were pleased with his annoyance & anger.
36. "Who do they keep in their life for professional gain? Is it for malicious intent?" Nobody & nope. She is stuck in the circus & takes care of everyone, even Jax (occasionally & sneakily). This is more like maternal intent for most.
37. "What's a secret they haven't told serious romantic partners and don't plan to tell?" Sadomaso to the bone. More on the 'Sado-' than the '-maso', but she has a motherly reputation to uphold.
38. "What hobby are they good at in private, but bad at in front of others? Why?" Domestic chores; baking, cooking, laundry, & so on. What good are such activities if there is zero need for them?
39. "Would they rather be invited to an event to feel included or be excluded from an event if they were not genuinely wanted there?" A bit of both. She loves feeling included & welcomed but if she isn't wanted then that's okay. She'll just take a long walk around the grounds or retire to her room. Now, if the invitation is verbally delivered with wholehearted want, she'll attend solely for that one person's contentment. If she is in a position where not one person likes her, she'll shrug. "Don't let me spoil your merriment, dearies. I'll be off now."
40. "How do they respond to a loose handshake? What goes through their head?" Put simply, she's worried & confused. "Is this person well? Am I grabbing/shaking too hard? Maybe they don't like being touched & are just doing this for etiquette's sake? I'll make a note of this & find better-tailored ways to interact with them if they'll grant me their friendship at any level."
41. What phrases, pronunciations, or mannerisms did they pick up from someone / somewhere else?
42. If invited to a TED Talk, what topic would they present on? What would the title of their presentation be?
43. What do they commonly misinterpret because of their own upbringing / environment / biases? How do they respond when realizing the misunderstanding?
44. What language would be easiest for them to learn? Why?
45. What's something unimportant / frivolous that they hate passionately?
46. Are they a listener or a talker? If they're a listener, what makes them talk? If they're a talker, what makes them listen?
47. "Who have they forgotten about that remembers them very well?" Her family back in the real world. In her defense, nobody remembers anything of their past lives when in the circus.
48. Who would they say 'yes' to if invited to do something they abhorred / strongly didn't want to do?
49. Would they eat something they find gross to be polite?
50. What belief / moral / personality trait do they stand by that you (mun [???]) personally don't agree with?

Daily Inconveniences of an Au Ra: Alcohol
The whiskey burned all the way down Keshet's throat, a familiar sort of tingle that spread warmth through his chest and made his head feel airy.
"Damn, you can handle your booze better than I expected, to keep up with me this long."
Keshet’s gaze slid over to Thancred, perched comfortably beside him. He gestured with his mug, just barely not splashing them both with its contents when he got a little bit overly animated. "What, do you think we don't have alcohol on the Steppe? And anyway, we invented buuz. And this? This is not buuz."
Thancred squinted at him as if there was some linguistic nuance he was missing, but Keshet decided that was thoroughly a Thancred Problem and contented himself with another swig from his mug. He remembered belatedly to twist his hand out of the way of his damned horn, gouging himself on the point of it and sloshing amber liquid onto the bar.
"Besides," he continued. He was feeling rather chatty, might as well indulge in conversation too. What better time to reveal all his secrets than over a mug of... whatever this was. "Besides. I'm much larger than you. It's only natural I can outdrink you. In fact, I'm impressed you can keep up with me, you little-" Thancred's brow furrowed at the indecipherable word that followed. Something in Old Auri, most likely, and he wasn't entirely sure that it had sounded complementary.
Okay, so maybe Keshet hadn't actually been that big a drinker back home. They had alcohol, that was for certain, but it wasn't really all that like the stuff he'd seen in Eorzea. Eorzean ale was little more than piss water, as far as he was concerned, and though people assured him there were hints of honey in mead, he couldn't taste it amidst the acrid taste of the drink. And it was too weak to be good for much of anything. Proper arkhi would put some shine in your scales; ale and mead were hardly worth subjecting himself to the taste.
But he had to admit that alcohol was simply less common on the Steppe than it was here. Well, he didn't have to admit that to Thancred, but he could admit it to himself. Alcohol was just everywhere in the West. You celebrated victories with it, you signed deals over it, you drank it casually over dinner. Really, maybe it was a good thing ale was so weak. Xaela were known to do some rather peculiar things when soused on arkhi or kumis. On the Steppe, their drink was strong, but you also weren't especially likely to down four glasses in a single sitting. Kumis wasn't exactly rare, but it was a pain to make, especially among the more nomadic tribes.
Of course, once Thancred had introduced Keshet to Eorzea's stronger spirits, all bets were off. Sure, whiskey still lacked the body of the fermented milk he was used to, but it packed a certain punch. Enough to be satisfying, at least. And maybe enough to make his head ache something fierce the next day.
Thancred arched a brow, swirling the amber liquid in his glass, and when he spoke Keshet had to struggle to remember what it was they'd been talking about before he got lost in thought. "Alright, big boy. Let's see if you can keep up with this, then. Barkeep! Bring us two glasses of Mun-Tuy brew!"
As it turned out, size was not everything when it came to holding your alcohol -- a lesson that was deeply engraved into Keshet's mind after he spent the next day fighting Garleans with Azim's foul light trying to crack open his skull. Never again.

Doing this with my beloved COD OC:
Lt. Victoria "Whiskey" Callahan.
What’s the lie your character says most often?
"You're doing good for the world."
How loosely or strictly do they use the word ‘friend’?
Strictly. She makes it a point to draw a clear line between friends/colleagues/acquaintances. You will see the difference in the way she treats a friend and how she treats a teammate. It's actually pretty jarring.
How often do they show their genuine emotions to others versus just the audience knowing?
Not even the damn readers knows what she's feeling most of the time. Just little snippets of thoughts of hers.
What’s a hobby they used to have that they miss?
Baseball. Used to go bat with her brother and her dad when she was a teen, as a way to decompress.
Can they cry on command? If so, what do they think about to make it happen?
No. In fact, she can stop crying on command. It's like a switch goes off. If she gets caught off guard, she tenses her back, and the tears are gone.
What’s their favorite [insert anything] that they’ve never recommended to anyone before?
Favorite movie: Kiki's Delivery Service.
What would you (mun) yell in the middle of a crowd to find them? What would their best friend and/or romantic partner yell?
Me: "WHISKEY!"
Her (old) friends: "VICKY!"
Ghost: "CALLAHAN, GODDAMN IT!"
How loose is their use of the phrase ‘I love you’?
She doesn't say it. Has never said it. Not even as a thing between her friends.
Just for scale: She's more likely to go "I would die for you" (which she also would never say) than to say the L word ever.
Do they give tough love or gentle love most often? Which do they prefer to receive?
Tough love-ish. She will scold people while tending to them and helping them fix what's wrong.
"You got yourself injured? Of course I'm looking after you, but you WILL hear me complain about your stupidity" type of deal.
What fact do they excitedly tell everyone about at every opportunity?
She's not the type to brag or excitedly tell people things... But if you get her drunk, she'll tell you her father was part of the team that helped find and kill a VERY well-known terrorist in the Middle East.
If someone was impersonating them, what would friends / family ask or do to tell the difference?
Ask her to drink something thick like a milkshake, smoothie, fruit nectar... She's a dumbass and the first sip she takes, she holds it in her mouth and then gulps it down at once.
What’s something that makes them laugh every single time? Be specific!
With her old team, she witnessed a moment very similar to the one time Gaz fell from the helicopter. She still laughs with the same gusto she did back then if she thinks back on it.
She was a Sergeant at the time, and one of her superior officers got his foot snagged on a rope and tripped down from his spot atop a APC and was left hanging upside down barely an inch off the ground.
When do they fake a smile? How often?
Her mouth is covered more often than not but she 'smiles' when she's either a) out in the street or b) dealing with superiors. And by 'smiling' I mean she pushes her voice up an octave to sound a bit more peppy and less dead inside.
How do they put out a candle?
Blow on it with one good sharp blow.
What’s the most obvious difference between their behavior at home, at work, at school, with friends, and when they’re alone?
Home/Alone: Calm, quiet, slips around basically blending in with the shadows, tends to sit down and bask in the quiet.
Work: Quiet, observant, professional, offers good ideas and asks appropriate questions.
School: As a kid, she was a prankster that often got called to the principal's office. She was loud!! And very much a girly girl.
With friends: Sarcastic, mean (in a playful way), tells good jokes.
What kinds of people do they have arguments with in their head?
Her superiors. How often she wishes to hit them with a swift "With all due respect, go fuck yourself, sir.". She gets especially bitter when she gets reamed out for a mistake.
What do they notice first in the mirror versus what most people first notice looking at them?
Whiskey: Her hair ("Why is it sticking up?" "I need a bobby pin." "I should have put more hair gel on it." "It's so tangled!!")
Everyone else: Her lip/cheek scar. (She also used to notice it first hand, but now she barely registers it).
Who do they love truly, 100% unconditionally (if anyone)?
Her mom and sister. All she has left.
What would they do if stuck in a room with the person they’ve been avoiding?
Her mom and her sister? She'd probably shrink into herself like a damn turtle. Her family would cry, scream, lecture her, ask her so many questions... It would leave her feeling awkward, embarrassed and sad.
Who do they like as a person but hate their work? Vice versa, whose work do they like but don’t like the person?
Would call Phillip Graves as close to an enemy as one can be. Big fan of his command of the Shadows and how professional they are but has a distaste for the man himself (he used to flirt with her shamelessly).
Old teammate (Petty Officer First Class Scott Howard). Adores the man as a friend. Hates that he went on to join a PMC.
What common etiquette do they disagree with? Do they still follow it?
Good morning/good afternoon/good evening/goodnight.
Doesn't follow it if she can avoid it. Mostly grumbles it like "Munin'."
What simple activity that most people do / can do scares your character?
Funnily enough, going to the dentist... and getting blood drawn. Which is funny because she does both regularly out of "obligation".
What do they feel guilty for that the other person(s) doesn’t / don’t even remember?
One time, her sister was really stressed with finals, and wanted to have a snack she had been saving for like 3 days. Unbeknownst to her, Victoria has already eaten it... So her sister broke down crying in the kitchen hugging the empty box of her snack... And had to be put to bed because she was sleep deprived, stressed and sad.
Victoria never owned up to it.
Did they take a cookie from the cookie jar? What kind of cookie was it?
Yes. Chocolate chip fudge.
What subject / topic do they know a lot about that’s completely useless to the direct plot?
Lockpicking.
How would they respond to being fired by a good boss?
🤨😐 "Thank you, sir. It was an honor serving with you, sir." 🫡🚶♀️
What’s the worst gift they ever received? How did they respond?
Had an ex-boyfriend spend a fortune giving her a silver jewelry matching set. (She's a gold jewelry girlie exclusively). Thanked him for it but broke to him directly.
What do they tell people they want? What do they actually want?
"Peace and quiet."
"Peace and quiet, and if someone tries to disturb that, let me kill them."
How do they respond when someone doesn’t believe them?
She's unfortunately loyal to a fault. If she finds something wrong/suspcious or a betrayal and tries to warn people of it and they don't believe it, she keeps INSISTING on it until it happens and then she goes "Fucking told you so.".
When they make a mistake and feel bad, does the guilt differ when it’s personal versus when it’s professional?
Yes. She deems herself to be, above all else, a good soldier. If she makes a mistake on the job (especially one that gets people killed), she beats herself up over it FOREVER. In her personal life, she's a lot more detached and calm about it.
When do they feel the most guilt? How do they respond to it?
When she gets someone killed or when they fail and can't prevent something from happening (attacks, etc.). Will always volunteer to be the one delivering bad news, will stick her neck out for the rest of the team, will accept punishment regardless if it's her fault because she needs to feel that guilt be properly dealt with.
If they committed one petty crime / misdemeanor, what would it be? Why?
Vandalism. Accidental arson.
How do they greet someone they dislike / hate?
*handshake* "Hey, how you doin'?"
How do they greet someone they like / love?
*pat on the back*
*stands by their side quietly, gives upward head nod*
*sits by their side and winks*
What is the smallest, morally questionable choice they’ve made?
(Just like Ghost) She's had to steal gear from the dead or near dead enemkes. Except... she has also finished killing off an enemy in order to steal his gear.
Who do they keep in their life for professional gain? Is it for malicious intent?
Besides her own father (and his history as a marine)? Unfortunately, Phillip Graves. No, it's not. She hates him. It's just easy to have someone to call a favor in to.
What’s a secret they haven’t told serious romantic partners and don’t plan to tell?
"I don't know that I'd survive if I lost you."
Unbeknownst to her, he wouldn't either.
What hobby are they good at in private, but bad at in front of others? Why?
Cooking. She gets stressed when trying to manage having someone else in the kitchen with her. Turns unironically into Gordon Ramsay.
Would they rather be invited to an event to feel included or be excluded from an event if they were not genuinely wanted there?
Excluded. She likes being home, thanks.
How do they respond to a loose handshake? What goes through their head?
Silently judges. In her eyes, there's no excuse for an arm to flail about when someone shakes it. Not even for a thin or feminine woman or a small child.
What phrases, pronunciations, or mannerisms did they pick up from someone / somewhere else?
Once she got used to being in the UK and around the 141, she ended up starting to say "Fuckin' 'ell." like Ghost.
She also hangs around Nik because he gives her an excuse to practice her languages... Which means she has picked up on certain mannerisms of his... including subtly twitching her head/neck especially when upset.
What do they commonly misinterpret because of their own upbringing / environment / biases? How do they respond when realizing the misunderstanding?
Silence at the dinner table (in a private/personal environment). For other people, silence means "I'm eating". For her? It means "Shit, something is wrong." because she grew up in an area where meals are **loud** and she's usually the quietest person there. So if everyone is as quiet as her, she misinterprets it.
She will ask if everything is alright and judge accordingly based on the way the person answers and their tone of voice.
What language would be easiest for them to learn? Why?
She already learned Spanish, French and Russian... So I guess Spanish.
What’s something unimportant / frivolous that they hate passionately?
"Do not. No. No! Get that PINEAPPLE OFF THE PIZZA. How can you- WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LIKE IT?!"
She has an aversion to cooked fruit mixed with savory food.
Are they a listener or a talker? If they’re a listener, what makes them talk? If they’re a talker, what makes them listen?
Listener.
What makes them talk? Ghost. Literally. If he asks her something so he can listen to her, she will talk for hours.
Who have they forgotten about that remembers them very well?
A girl from junior high. She was crying in the bathroom, and Whiskey offered her a tissue and sat with her on the dirty floor and sat by her as she cried. Whiskey doesn't even remember doing it. But the girl remembers.
Who would they say ‘yes’ to if invited to do something they abhorred / strongly didn’t want to do?
Gaz/Roach. Not even Ghost could convince her. But Gaz? Roach? She would groan about it, but she'd do it.
Would they eat something they find gross to be polite?
No. But would be polite about rejecting it. Unless it's pineapple pizza.
What belief / moral / personality trait do they stand by that you (mun) personally don’t agree with?
Gun ownership. She's pro (but with more regulation). I am very much against.
What’s a phrase they say a lot?
"What the hell?/!/." (With all sorts of entonations.)
Do they act on their immediate emotions, or do they wait for the facts before acting?
Wait. Always. She's not hot-headed.
Who would / do they believe without question?
Ghost. If he told her something smelled off about a situation, she would have his back. Even if it turns out to have been nothing. She trusts his instincts.
What’s their instinct in a fight / flight / freeze / fawn situation?
Fight first, flight after. Always. (Has gotten her into problems before. She once yeeted a glass of water at her own dad's face in the kitchen at 3 A.M..)
What’s something they’re expected to enjoy based on their hobbies / profession that they actually dislike / hate?
Shooting (as in going to the gunrange, etc.), sparring.
If they’re scared, who do they want comfort from? Does this answer change depending on the type of fear?
Sadly, her brother (he's dead). The guy was just... very nice and understanding.
Now? She comforts herself. Though Ghost gives her a little nudge.
What’s a simple daily activity / motion that they mess up often?
Pouring things. If a container doesn't have a spout, she'll spill and she's go "Ah fuck!" about it.
Also ironing. She gets frustrated when clothes stay wrinkly.
How many hobbies have they attempted to have over their lifetime? Is there a common theme?
So many. Sports as a kid (baseball, tennis, acrobatics, soccer, swimming, etc.), music as a teen (guitar), crafting as an adult (crochet, knitting, wood carving).
Bottom line, she likes to keep busy, but as she grew older, she wanted things that kept her hands busy more than anything.

She has an older brother still in the steppe, his name is Baatu and now belongs to the Buduga clan.
They are not in contact, and she does not remember him. He thinks she’s dead.
Her tail body language closely imitates that of a miqo’te, since she was raised surrounded by them.
Had a promiscuous phase during her years studying in the Arcanist Guild in Limsa Lominsa.
She’s quite the talented artist, but cannot practise as much as she’d like to. She mostly works with charcoal and makes beautiful black and white pieces.

She was quite a famous gladiator in the Coliseum for many years, under the pseudonym of “The Hunter”. She covered most of her face and kept her identity secret.
She wishes her muscles were bulkier, but no matter how much she trains or eats, she never gets as big as she wants.
She trains constantly, even if she has no equipment.

Unless stated otherwise, I treat every RP with every individual person as a separate AU.
I only do ERP if I feel comfortable with the other mun, but in Tahla’s case, there also needs to be an established relationship between her and the other character(s) involved. She is a switch.

ITWV Spoilers Below along with Thread Ideas, some final Parallel and Discussion
TLDR: The Mun is basically just word vomiting about his favorite characters, their similarities and pains as well as desperately wanting to write and be a collective nerd.
Honestly, the twist I don't think I saw coming was the sheer fact it was our man Lestat who had in fact, saved Louis, when Armand either wanted or was simply letting it happen. Maxine has been on both sides. She went through hell for Chloe. Into time loops and back. But as we've also seen, she's sat there and watched Chloe or other's die. Directly in causation to her.
And honestly the way Lestat controls peoples minds is just similar in physical punishment to Maxine's own Rewind? Ear and Nose bleeds? Just a small detail between bias. Also the way he touches his temple when Maxine has to hold her hand out to invoke said control from either party.
But the symbolism in both of the series with waiting. Whether it be across decades or centuries. Or in Life Is Strange's Case: Realities. Mind Bendingly so, sometimes.
But also the absolute Catharsis of both series. It doesn't seem to be a reuniting between Lestat and Louis. But they both finally know the truth. The extent of what they have done or what they would do for each other. No matter when or where it was. They also began to settle with the painful truth of something they've done which is irrevocable. In the case of Max, it was letting the storm she manifested in Arcadia Bay remain a continuity. To see memorials and the graves. For Lestat and Louis, it was Claudia. Their daughter.
And then of course, the pain of making a choice for survival or love or jealousy, however twisted the reasoning or direction of it. Armand made a choice to do nothing if not encourage and direct the Trial and the death of all 4 that night. And Max has done that, also regardless of reasoning or feeling. She let Nathan kill Chloe. She let Jefferson kill Victoria by not warning her of any danger whatsoever. Chloe has scolded her for making a change and to sometimes even let things like a car crash, to happen. If only because the consequences, as we had seen in the game itself, are sometimes far greater than we could have imagined.
Of course the first thread idea I have is with that beast of a hurricane on the night Lestat and Louis reunite and have that painful catharsis. What if Maxine had caused it? Or you know, Max or Chloe meeting someone in New Orleans in the Modern day simply because they were there in the comic series.
Or the ever interesting idea that maybe Maxine was convinced to take back a choice or kill or save someone and we watch the alternate reality, the consequences, play out. In this verse, Max would have to care about the person, and still be told or convinced in order to make such a big decision of that type. She's seen and felt the ripples things like that leave behind. Because you might have saved, but also see the further, deeper pain you have wrought. See what you have deprived. Things taken away. Time was a scale, Max would agree. But again, if you matter to her, she will do it- experience whatever pain awaits for them. Because there will be pain. And not just for her.
And of course, Maxine or even Chloe being turned. Both would be interesting to me. Though, assuredly, Maxine would be more interesting. Simply because of the HC her Time Manipulation abilities would only strengthen. But I also HC my dear, sweet Chloe does know and or remember her having died over the years. So being able to explore someones view of immortality as someone who is close with death even in another ramble or thread would be very interesting. Honestly Chloe is a modern day definition of Innocence Lost and in my opinion, she has had a life of pain and loss. So, again, interesting.

I am not quiet done adding my muses but I will always announce when I do. I am on medium activity. If it goes up you will see more posts, if it goes down you will also know as I will post about it !
--(Triggers)-- My only real trigger is terminal illness that is the only thing I ask you tag for me. Please and thank you.
--(Writing)-- I use para, multi-para and novella style of writing I write in the third person. I do not mind how you write you character or the format just understand this is how I write mine. Please select a muse when you send an ask otherwise you'll get which ever one I am feeling in the moment. I use icons & small text for my posts. Please feel free to continue asks, I love that. I will continue asks in their own thread so as to not reblog someone elses ask or my own. I will write with most levels of rp since we all start out somewhere. You are not required to use icons, match my words or use small text.
If you have a trigger and I miss it when I am writing please contact me. Be polite about it and let me know and I will get it tagged. I hate to trigger anyone--its just I interact on a large scale and can't remember ever single set of rules I read.
I do ask for one thing, please tag javaspirits so I can keep track of my rps.
--(Plotting)-- I tend to be better on the fly honestly, but if you want my discord to plot hit me up I am always happy to do so. If we are mutuals. If you want a plot you can ask, if you have something you'd like to try again ask, but also please respect my right to say no. If I am not feeling it. This goes for my rp partners too, if we are writing something your not feeling, lets scrap it and try something else, I am easy to get on with I love to write.
--(Shipping)-- I welcome shipping with chemistry, I ship various things I have a couple of canon characters in fact and my two ocs, I would love interactions for them. Not just romantic shipping, but family, found family, mentor, student, adventuring companions, etc. Please do not pressure me to ship, and no asking to ship is not pressuring me. I will not write cheating threads, and I will not write multi partners. I am very much a one on one ship kind of girl. I have nothing against polyships it just isn't for me. All ships will take place in there own verse!
--(Following)--- If I follow you I want to write with you. I might be a little shy in reaching out. often my form of reaching out is to send a meme this is how I judge interest to be honest. I do not vague post or call out or cause issues. I keep drama to role play. I will not follow someone who tells me how I have to run my own blog, sorry. I will of course accepted asks for triggers to be tagged, I will not allow others to tell me I can not use a certain face, or a plot. If I have to respond to you within a certain amount of days, again we won't be a good fit. I have bouts of extreme activity and I have my days of omg I am so tired how do I adult ?
--(Mun)-- I am Noir or Cat either works really. I am in my late 30's and I have a family. I love to write with others and I am heavily into tabletop rp, many of my ocs come from years of tabletop rp. I enjoy chatting about it, and characters and ships (romantic or platonic ) and you know things in general. You can always send me an Ask, my DM's are open and if you want my Discord, and are a mutual I will be happy to slide it your way.

Sorry if my comment about the post editor was condensing in any way of course. Being autistic and/or generally anxious about change is valid and I'm sure if website code foundations weren't constantly updating and then losing support tumblr wouldn't need to change the post editor
Confused poro chitters?
Poro mun has not seen any comments, anon! Because poro mun has no idea who you are because you are anon.
However! Perhaps I can explain what I meant when I said that even I felt it wasn't that bad, coming from my personal autistic background?
I'm autistic. I detest change. I am a bit of a private misanthrope irl; I am rather closed off, dislike touch, and I'm pretty set in my ways. I do not react well to changes that I cannot personally control; in the past before therapy I was so much of a control freak over my life that I was driving myself into bad places.
So coming from that background, and of course, the background of having seen so many changes to so many websites, from tumblr to facebook to twitter to myspace and more, I've got a bit of a scale of 'how bad is this change overall.'
The core problem with the new editor is, of course, the inability to cut threads naturally, at least as a roleplayer. But they advertised xkit complete with a tutorial in their announcement post, which I dunked on yesterday because it's absurd even if it's good.
Xkit's post editor and follower checked that actually work now are things that should exist on tumblr already, but having them available from elsewhere is good.
In other words, if they didn't exist, I would probably be saying that this is a bad idea.
But also, the new post editor has been this way on mobile for like, a year and a half now; so if you've used the mobile app which has never been good for a host of other reasons, then you're already used to using the new post editor anyway.
The main reason, as a roleplayer, that I didn't use the new editor wasn't because I felt it was bad, it was just because I didn't have a way to cut posts. Now I do, so it's not that bad.
The core problem is that you can't cut posts easily when people reblog them using the old editor when you're using the new one, so that's a problem, and why I encouraged people to just bite the proverbial bullet and learn its ins and outs now.

Ann and Futaba Showtime idea: (Insta-KO by Belch)
In a darkened room, Futaba is busy having someone chug numerous soda bottles (and some mentos for added effect). But each time they try to burp, Futaba holds their mouth so the belch doesn't escape. "Mwehehe...soon, very soooon~" She says in a playfully evil tone. Once the final soda bottle is emptied, she maniacally laughs as thunder strikes!
The scene changes to the Shadows, who all turn once they heard Futaba approach and an ominous bubbling noise. They turn, and see her with her hand on her hips. Besides her, Ann with a bloated belly that not only ripped entirely out of her costume, but carrying it in her hands due to the size. "Kehehe...now, behold the true power of our fearsome Panther! Let them have it!" Futaba points at them, expecting Ann to fire.
But Ann doesn't belch. She just stands, rubbing and holding her massive tummy. Futaba begins to panic, quickly shaking Ann's belly. The Shadows, catching her bluff, begin chasing Futaba around while Ann feels something growing. It isn't long before the Shadows catch up to Futaba causing her to flail around aimlessly until she felt herself kick something immensely soft. Everyone freezes as they look at what she had kicked.
Ann's stomach.
They all slowly look up at Ann, who felt a belch growing closer and closer. Their faces grow pale as they're unable to avoid the absolute beast of a belch that escaped Ann's lips. Loud and destructive wasn't even enough to describe it. It roared throughout the entire area, even causing tremors in areas that one wouldn't think the belch would reach! And it kept persisting for about a few minutes before it eventually died down.
We return to an exhausted Ann who's laying on her back amongst the wreckage of the entire town, tired after unloading that burp, while Futaba is sitting with swirling anime eyes as she rates the burp from a scale of 1 to God tier. A sign plops onto her head with the words "Show's Over" and knocks her out. @shadowhangout
(Goooood stuff~)
(Y'know, I'm not sure why these Showtime submissions started, but they're really good. It means a bunch of people are on the same wavelength as the mun~)

Despite what most people think, demonic beings are very social creatures. The elites hold countless balls and parties, celebrating their immortality together, and entertaining one another with stories. Typically, they are done in celebration for something – though this is not always the case. All types of beings from across the Demon Realm will come if the host is of high enough prestige.
There would be no such host if it was not for Karlheinz. Seated as the head of the Bat Clan (vampires), Karl’s reach spans far. Being the widow for the former Demon King’s daughter, and having children of the first blood, an invitation from the Vampire King is not one to refuse. Though why would you? In his immaculate castle within the Demon Realm, Eden Castle, it is always quite the spectacle. While the celebrations held in his Human World mansion are nice, nothing compares to a true night of pleasure within the true home of the King.
On this night, there was to be a Masquerade in honor of the first Lunar Eclipsed Moon in over two years. While this night may serve each species differently, the idea to celebrate its return was simply too tempting. For this reason, Karlheinz took it upon himself – or rather – his house, to host the event. This extended to his offspring as well, regardless of their personal agenda. Members of every social elite race accepted the offer, and gathered for a truly unforgettable evening
The remainder of the night went by with little interest. Once Kanato’s mess was cleaned, there wasn’t much for Reiji to do. It was rather boring. In this solitude he found himself longing for Rika more than ever. He honestly had half a mind to visit her after all this was finished. Punish her for missing this opportunity to be with him.
There were times when he enjoyed Rika’s independence. She was a self-made woman, which honestly he was proud to stand beside. However, there are times when the need for her out weights that. This would be one of them.
Like his brothers, Reiji wanted to parade her about in front of other demons. To show them something out of their reach. The surge of dominance. Truly there was nothing quite like it. At least not to a being like himself. Yet all night he was forced to see his brothers expense that exhilarating feeling.
First Laito runs off with some woman, though that was not new for him. Honestly, when will he mature? It felt as though he were the youngest sibling. Even Subaru showed better manners. Speaking of – he just took notice that his half-brother had come with that android like shadow of his. Perhaps he spoke too soon about Subaru’s maturity. Bringing his ‘baby sitter’.
Although, considering what Reiji was sure the two of them got into – it would be somewhat appropriate for him to accompany Subaru. Their relationship was unsettling. He was sure Shu was also involved with that AKUMU as well. Though he hoped with their plan, Shu put that behind him.
Ayato seemed to have the best time, it was actually somewhat peaceful with him and Yuko-san. Either of them alone was trouble, so it was surprising that together they were behaving. Or perhaps they had a larger scale prank in mind that Reiji was yet to notice. Regardless, it was annoying to see them together. Simply for the fact that he was unable to be with his beloved. It did not help that Yuko and Rika share similar blood. Smelling Yuko was close to smelling Rika – just enough to tease his senses. However, it was clear the two were different.
The other brother with a date, who also caused the most ruckus, was Kanato. Reiji had gotten over that fleeting feeling of jealousy a long time ago when it came to those two. Yet tonight, he could not help but acknowledge that small tinge. Not that he was wanting Yuuki-san on his arm. It was more the general desire once more to have his own love. Any kind of attachment to the young woman now was simply familial – if any at all.
What might be the most upsetting, however, was the fact that even his father had ‘someone’ on his arm. Even if that was the – secretary that he brought on not too long ago. Their relationship was the most… unsettling. Reiji wasn’t sure what bothered him more. The fact that someone as grand as his father was having relations with a common siren, or the fact that the siren was a male who paraded himself around as a female. Even tonight, he clung onto his father’s arm like some sort of harlot.
The sight of them made him ill. Reiji had always respected his father, but this, well – perhaps the man was getting on in age. His life choices were showing that. Once the plan to take the throne was completed, Reiji was slightly worried that Skye Oakly would become a problem for them. That there was something their father was plotting with the siren.
While it was bothersome to see the others enjoying their time with someone dear, it was somehow comforting to know that he was not the only one alone tonight. Shu had also come without a date – though that was mostly by choice. Shu had yet to find a mate, which again, was why he was perfect for the plan. With no attachments to this world it would be easier for Shu to take the risk of fighting their father. He had nothing to lose. Reiji hoped that his brother would be enough for the task. He would be lying if there wasn’t a more hidden motive behind it all.
With his brother fighting, Reiji would not need to. There were many reasons behind that, and on this night of the Eclipse, he felt them all plaguing his mind. Even the ones he never thought to admit to himself. The most evident being that he was not good enough. Always second to Shu. Would his strength alone be enough to defeat their father? Reiji seriously doubted it. Then there was the most obvious thought of dying. He could not bare the idea of leaving Rika behind in such a way. Life had just found a meaning beyond simply existing.
Was that because of Rika as well? This was something Reiji had also not allowed himself to think about. No longer was he suck in this never ending night of repetition. Rika offered him something more. A life beyond. A life. A Future. That was all something he could not risk. So it was selfish of him to ask that Shu take on that burden. To risk his own life for the comfort of his own, and their siblings.
Lastly there was the deep rooted desire to see Shu loose. This was something Reiji truly hated himself for thinking. Damned if it wasn’t for the moon, he would still not think of it. That feeling since childhood. This hatred of his brother. It was something, in their current life, which Reiji was attempting to get over. Now that he was with someone who also had relationship issues with their sibling, he wanted to be better about it. Wanted to form some sort of bond with Shu. For deep down he knew that behind all that hatred was –
Enough of this self-refection! Reiji shook his head, forcing the moons influence out of his mind. This was not the time to get lost in thought – let alone thoughts that would do him no good. With that, he decided to locate his brothers so they could return back to the mansion. The only one he needed to locate was Shu, who had mysteriously vanished for most of the night.
Reiji hoped that he had not simply left the event. It would be prudent of him to at least try to get used to this life. If he was going to be King – things would change. As he scanned over the attendees, Reiji’s eyes happen to fall onto a familiar set of horns. A familiar dress. Ah, that young woman from earlier. Calli, was her name, if he recalled. She was headed to the dance floor, how envious, but a woman her age was bound to have suitors.
As the band prepared for their final set of the evening, the crowds seemed to part for her and whomever she was dancing with. While sweet symphonic notes filled the air, Reiji was able to see the hand that took hers. Shu!? What?! Reiji was shocked to say the least. His lazy brother was actually dancing. Wait – more than that – who he was dancing with!
Was he aware that Calli was the daughter of a demon lord? He was almost certain she was Ajax’s daughter. One of the noble clans. Eagles. If he was planning on doing something – no – Shu wasn’t like that. Was he? Reiji fought with himself on this matter. Would Shu honestly come to this event and try to leave with someone? He knew what was at stake here!
Not to mention who this ‘someone’ was! Surely if her father saw the two of them- Reiji quickly tried to locate the Eagle King. Thankfully he was currently occupied. Reiji recalled that he was the type to talk a lot. How could he fix this!? There had to be something, anything – even if it was just to get her away from Shu. That’s it!
Callista followed with Shu’s movements while the soft orchestra played for them. It was rather strange to be dancing with him – mostly because the two had just met. Also, and more so probably, because they had both agreed to officially go along with this ‘engagement’ their parents had devised. While the situation wasn’t ideal, there was little she could do about it on her own. It was comforting to know that Shu was also unsure about all of this.
Despite how the evening had started, Calli could breathe easier now. She had been so nervous coming to this ball. While at the main family home in the Makai, earlier in the month, her father had explained the idea of the arranged marriage to her. Of course immediately she was against it. What modern woman in her right mind wouldn’t be?
The idea that her life would be traded away for some, political gain, was atrocious. Callista wanted no part of the discussion, stressing to her parents that this was not the future she wanted. Her mother, Catalina, was more understanding of her position. This was not something the family had ever wanted for their daughters.
Being the current head of the Eagle Demon’s, Callista’s father, Ajax, had a world of responsivities to uphold. However, he had never, not once, allowed those to directly affect his children. Her older brothers, Alexander and Meteo, were welcome to choose their brides. Even if they were only choosing from the eligible demons within the high court. Smaller family names within the Clan.
Her eldest sister Evangeline, was able to marry a man she loved. While he was no price with large titles, she was given that choice. Sister Lucille was now married and living in the human realm. Even Ioanna, the closest sibling to Callista in age, was not forced to wed. She was out traveling the realms. Allowed to spread her wings, fly to far off places, to be free.
Something that Callista knew little about. Being the youngest for quite a long time, her parents – mostly Ajax- were protective. Calli was never allowed to travel without them. Sure the family took many vacations and trips to far off places together, but, her siblings were all able to do that themselves – or with friends. Which Calli was severely lacking. No one wanted to play with the Eagle Lord’s daughter – who not to mention was a shut in.
Though, growing up like that, she didn’t hate it. In fact, now there was nothing she loved more then to curl up and read. Read about anything really, whether it was fiction or non. The books she loved the most were about culture. Learning how humans and other demon species live. Gaining a better understanding of the world, without actually living in it. Thinking about that now, it sounds depressing actually.
All that to say, why does it now fall to her, to give up the kind of life she had always wanted? Why was this suddenly her responsibility, when being the fifth born, really shouldn’t mean anything – according to the books she had read on succession. So what made this different? Had the Vampire Lord’s son seen her and decided he liked her? Were things in the clan so difficult that her father had to secure and alliance this badly? Even if they were to wed, that would only have her lead in the name of the Bat Clan one day – not the Eagle – so what was the point? What did it all mean?
Callista found herself focusing on those questions as the news of this Masquerade came to their doorstep. The invitation to attend was extended to her parents, but it also made a special note to bring her along. Callista begged for her parents to reject the proposal. That there was no need for such a union. That it would do their people no good. That it would ruin the happiness she wanted for herself. She had thoughts that the three of them came to an understanding. That at this party, Ajax would reject the offer from Karlheinz.
That was until her father actually talked to him. She should have known. The most powerful being in the realms would have something in mind to bend things to their will. Sure enough, after their talked, her father came rushing over to tell her the great news. She would marry Karlheinz eldest son.
At first, Calli wondered if it would be the one she met on the balcony. Having met him just before the news, it might not be so bad. He seemed well put together, and spoke with an air of intelligence. She was happy to have met him under her own terms before being forcefully introduced to some stranger. Unfortunately, it was not him, and that very fear came to pass. She was presented to another man.
This one was taller than her, but not as tall as the other. His hair golden, and eyes deep as the sea. He looked at her with such… contempt? Or was it simply confusion? It was apparent that he was not prepared for this. Perhaps he was not told of their union until this moment. Well, she wasn’t either – at least the idea of following through with it.
It was nice to get away with him for a while. While introduced as Ririe, Shu was not quite what she was expecting from the next in line for the great power behind the Bat Clan’s leader. While his mannerisms might look incorrect, to the trained eye, you could see the years of practice that went into his existence. The way he moved and held himself, told her that he was raised with proper etiquette.
Shu was handsome. She had no complaints with his appearance. He did seem rather lazy – or perhaps he was simply tired from the night. The first time alone with a newly announced fiancé should be to nap on a fountain. That being said, there was grace in everything he did. There were no wasted movements. Every muscle he had was well trained, no matter how hard he might have tried to hide it.
While Shu released her for a twirl, Callista found a new set of hands take her own. Pulling her from Shu’s lead, and into another’s. A hand moves around her waist, while the first hand guides her into the frame of a new partner. Looking up, Calli’s eyes are met with a pair of pale magenta. Glared over just slightly from a pair of glasses, and the lights from above reflecting and blocking their connection.
For a brief moment, the world around her faded away. It was something like – looking into the eyes of- well… she couldn’t quite explain. A sudden feeling washed over her entire being. Normally if someone grabbed her as such, she would protest. However- something in this moment felt… safe. Secure? There were no precise words to describe it.
“Forgive me for intruding, I had promised her a dance when we met before. You don’t mind, do you Shu?” Reiji spoke to his rather confused brother. In typical Shu fashion, he simply shrugged and left the two of them alone. Reiji let out a small sigh of relief, thankful that Shu was not serious about pursing a night spent with Ajax’s daughter. “My apologies, Lady Calli. I did not mean to interrupt your dance but I –"
Reiji was spotted in his apology when he looked down to see her golden eyes looking back at him. They were mesmerizing. It has been ages since Reiji was truly able to look into the eyes of someone like himself. Not that looking into Rika’s eyes was not enchanting – but this – this was different. A new element of excitement flashed through him.
The knowledge that this woman could with stand his strength. That the eyes locked with his own were just as deadly. The body that was pressed against him would not bruise and break under the simply act of pulling her to him. The feeling of being with another immortal. It was exhilarating.
Callista could feel the power behind the arms which held her. Unlike with Shu just moments ago – these hands were full of purpose. A desire to hold her close. Even if it was simply to move her from Shu. Now in this embraced state, Calli would recognize this new partner as Reiji Sakamaki – who she had met earlier, just before Shu.
For brothers the two of them did not share many features. The same could not be said for her siblings – they all looked similar to one another. Yet these two, not even their hair color matched. Calli wondered what else was different. Their speaking patterns for one – Reiji was much more elegant with is words. Shu simply seemed to say whatever he pleased.
“I … was simply unware if your – father knew that the two of you were…” Reiji searched himself to find the right words. It was bad enough that his brother had stolen a dance with one of the great Lord’s daughters. Now he was doing the same. Yet as he held her against him – he found himself unable to let go.
She barely understood what he was saying – these overwhelming – almost primal, instincts were quite the distraction. “Oh… I-"
“Callista my dear!” Ajax’s voice boomed both of them back into their senses as the large Eagle brought himself over to them. “We must be going! Much to do back home to prepare for your big move!”
Reiji and Callista backed away from one another, both exchanging awkward glances and nervous laughs. “You are moving once again?” Reiji ask, composing himself. “Where will your family take nest for now?”
“Sadly my daughter’s journeys with us have ended. She will be moving into the Sakamaki Mansion! To get to know her new fiancé! Young Lord Ririe! The two should be very happy together – it’s quite the match if I do say so myself!” The demon let out a haughty laugh as he placed an arm around Callista.
“It… would seem we shall get to see one another again.” She blushes, embarrassed by her father’s outburst.
“So it would seem.” The news came to Reiji slowly. As he bid Callista and her father farewell, he couldn’t help but replay it in his mind.
Not only was this new woman about to enter their mansion – but she was … for Shu? Shu? His brother? This was impossible. How could that have even happened? Did Ajax come here with intentions of the two of them getting married? Or was it-!?
Just as the thought crossed his mind, Reiji could feel his father’s presence. His will. A calling to seek him out. Reiji looked about the – now less populated – ballroom. While he could not locate his father, he felt his message. Felt the intent behind his actions. Karlheinz knew of their plan. It would seem that – what was once something as simple as training Shu – now grew more complicated.

I often see multis post that they want to make a new muse, at the same time as they're backed up on threads and asks, and they get their followers to "enable" them to make that muse in the post replies. What is your take on this? Is it a they-can-do-what-they-want situation, or is it reasonable to be annoyed when I see this? Or both?
Hey, Anon!
Both.
I mean, as usual, this is my opinion of an opinion-based matter. This isn't an equation that has an objectively right to wrong scale, it isn't actually hurting any living person or thing. But...it is incredibly annoying and can be hurtful.
They can totally do what they want, and much of the nature of genuine creativity is exactly that - the allowance of doing whatever you so desire. It's something I support rather adamantly, but it's also something I support trying our best to do responsibly and without being hurtful to anyone in a hobby that involves more than ourselves.
This isn't deciding to write another fic when you've not finished the previous four or five that others were interested in, or never finishing any of your original fiction, but continually starting new projects. While others might be enjoying those things as well, you didn't agree to interact with them. They're audience members, not participants.
When others are participants in a hobby that has to work both ways, it's different. Your actions do affect other, real human beings.
So, I totally feel like you've a right to be annoyed every time you see that happening. I do. I tend to unfollow people who do that repeatedly, as we're not pursuing the hobby in the same way. I'll argue all day that someone has a right to their, sometimes literally, eighty-plus muses they never develop or stick to, but that doesn't mean I want to engage with them as a writing partner.
For those of us who want long-term writing partners with the same, well-developed muses, this kind of thing just is annoying. As is everything else that comes with it.
As in...
They're constantly posting "talk me out of adding x" as code for "talk me into writing x."
No one actually wants to be talked out of it, which was probably more obvious to everyone else here than it was me for a little while lmao I tend to take things rather literally. This was, as one can imagine, not appreciated! Telling someone in total earnestness, "I really don't think that's a good choice. You're always saying how overwhelmed you are and just dropped multiple threads yesterday, so adding another muse is going to make you feel worse eventually. Don't do it! :)" is so not what they were looking for. As was evident by the return meltdown over how they could do what they wanted, like I said they couldn't or had any authority over what they're doing with their time.
It's an obnoxious bit of pandering for a foregone conclusion.
Have you ever seen anyone who posts that sort of thing not pick up that muse? I haven't. I've only seen muns who are legitimately on the fence about it asking others in private conversations or testing out the muse decide against it. The thing that makes this incredibly irritating is the attention-seeking and need to validate something they must know isn't a great choice, otherwise, they'd just do it. They're aware that they're behind on drafts, asks, and other things - aware that this is maybe a dick move when they owe everyone already. So, they're seeking "permission" with full knowledge that multiple mutuals are going to hop on that post with encouragement, even some of the ones being messed over by this choice.
It puts people in a bad situation.
Some of those people genuinely don't care, they just want to interact with any muse, and I'm going to be awful and say it - they don't care about totally interchangeable muses and have them themselves. That's fine, this isn't a problem for them. It is for the mutuals who are hoping that maybe if their writing partner gets into this new muse, they'll get a reply to their threads with that energy, or that they'll stick to this one and they can have consistent interactions with them. It is for the mutuals who feel pressured to respond positively because they fear not responding at all will make them seem like bad rpers.
One more thing playing into the counter logic excuse for shitty behavior of "it's just a hobby" is one more thing too many, and it does exactly that.
No one wants to be accused of being remotely too invested in RP anymore, of taking it too seriously, or having any emotional investment in muses, stories, or muns. Not accepting every choice someone makes that negatively impacts you with a grin on your face while you dump confetti on them for it just isn't a comfortable option for a lot of muns anymore. Honesty isn't a comfortable option. While the other option isn't either, it seems better than that mutual noticing you're the only writing partner who didn't hop onto that post with support any of the multiple times they reblogged it. It's only a hobby in which everyone can do what they want until what one wants clashes. Then, you're getting a callout for being addicted to RP.
And the way it tends to clash most is in having expectations of others. Ones that would be totally normal in any other hobby requiring interaction with other people.
Like not overburdening yourself at the expense not only of yourself but those on your "team." That's what is being done when someone knows they cannot keep up with themselves, but continues to add to the situation with new muses.
Not only are you no longer getting responses already while they're intending to add even more to their overflowing plate, you'll be dropped again when they have to "fresh start" their blog because they're burned out.
I have to put that in quotations because I don't know how it's a fresh start when you keep everything but the blog layout the same. All the muses and all the behaviors, including adding a new one despite not having the time or interest necessary to do so, is inevitably maintaining the problems that led to burnout. Dropping every thread, changing the URL, a new blog layout, new aesthetics, isn't fixing the issue even if it temporarily reinvigorates the mun.
The mun is definitely doing things that are not helpful to them, it's stressful and upsetting to experience burnout, but it's at least that mun's choice. Both to do it and to become defensive over fixing it, thus, never fixing it. It isn't anyone else's choice to be repeatedly dropped or ignored, though...unless they just keep sticking around for it.
Again, we're supposed to respect everyone's choices. That's fine when it really works that way, when it is truly everyone. But it's not an acceptable decision to see a multimuse of twenty or more muses and say that's your limit, that you've experienced too many muns who are serial muse-adders not being able to keep up with themselves, so you don't interact with these blogs. If one feels that way, they had better not put it in their rules or ever be upfront about this as a reason, when one is demanded, for not following back or interacting.
It's not acceptable to see a writing partner adding another muse after they've owed you for months, just wiped their inbox, and keep expressing being overwhelmed/behind and become annoyed. Let alone dropping them or explaining to them why you are doing so.
The only "acceptable" course of action is hoping that they totally forget you exist so you can quietly slip away.
I don't feel like that's especially fair or mature. It certainly isn't helping the communication problem we absolutely do have here in the RPC when only one party is allowed to communicate without fear of being labeled, rather ironically, as a bad RP partner.
While this problem seems to be most prevalent in more casual RPers, it's certainly not isolated there. I feel like it's necessary to say that I've had muns I both interacted with and were simply on my dash alike who were not on that more casual side who went from being multis to being muse collectors. Once they hit over fifteen of them or so, they stopped even bothering to try to refrain from picking up at least one muse from every new piece of media they consumed or were inspired by.
It was more annoying because they had been capable of writing truly unique characters they stuck to, and even if they were, with full and upfront admission before interaction, slower to respond, those responses were well worth any wait for the quality of writing and storytelling going on. That's so much worse than someone who was always at a lower skill level as a writer, didn't have a good grasp on characterization, and wasn't especially dedicated to anything. It's depressing and disappointing, but it's also not what you think you're getting into when trying to carefully pick who to write with. Like everyone else, my time to enjoy this hobby is far from twenty-four-seven as well. It's important to me to try to choose muns I'll work out with well so that neither of us is wasting the other's time. And that's what it feels like - the investment of time was a waste because their hobby became adding infinite muses, or rather, the idea of muses.
So, yes, while it is fully everyone's right to write what and how they want to (even if it amounts to not writing at all), it'd be nice if we were all as committed to doing so in a way that was adult enough to respect commitments we've made to each other as we are, as a RPC, to losing our minds when someone merely drops the words "commitments" or "respect."
For the inevitable muse-collectors running across this:
Fiction is inspiring! That doesn't mean you needn't be inspired by anything, just that picking up or creating a whole other muse might not be the best way to follow this inspiration.
If you're considering another muse, but you find yourself already behind and/or overwhelmed? Try one of these instead:
create a plot based on it! Write up the idea and put it in your wanted plots/wishlist tag. Bring it up to partners you think might be interested in it as well, or seek out a crossover from that fandom
make it a new verse for an existing muse! This is as close as you get to creating a new muse without actually doing so, and in many ways, it takes even more creativity. How is your muse different in this AU than they are in canon, how are they the same? In the ways that they are the same, what similar events but done in a way that is natural/logical to this universe have happened to maintain that? Get really creative!
for either/both of these, make some moodboards and aesthetics with that energy while you're waiting on someone to take you up on these new things. Answer some HC asks or tag games using your new verse, or write an independent HC for the verse or plot
talk to writing partners who already love that muse about their new verse/your desired plot! No, not pressuring talk, just normal conversation between friends, but maybe they will be interested in starting a thread
simply be inspired to include some aspect of what you liked in an existent thread. A particular scene you could pull ideas from, the overall mood of a film, or the way something was written in a book - include that in your replies somehow! RP is creative writing, be creative
There are so many, honestly more organic, directions to take inspiration than bluntly adding a new muse. Especially when you're already overburdened, not holding up your end of replies, and/or not able to portray each muse as their own character properly.
Sometimes, it's not just not a great idea to add a whole new muse, and that's alright. There seems to be a serious problem with fomo going on with this whole issue, too. You're not going to miss out if you do not immediately add this character to your multi, and you're never going to fully keep up with what is trending anyway. Do it because you still want to write this muse in four months instead, they're obviously not going anywhere if that's the case, and they'll be a better developed, interesting portrayal for that.
And people do have a right to be annoyed when they feel sidelined by you seeing a shiny object and repeatedly pandering for validation in dropping them for it. Particularly if you're a mun who, further, expects everyone to be just as interested in every new muse you make as the last. As in, you're annoyed when you keep creating muses no one is falling over themselves to interact with, guilting, shaming, or outright demanding that this new muse is interacted with before they have access to the previous ones.
They don't have a right to be mean you to, but they have a right to be annoyed and to drop you. They even have a right to politely decline explaining this to you if they feel unsafe, or to politely explain it to you before they move on.
Absolutely everyone's right to pursue RP and every facet of it as they so please, but no one else has to like what you're doing.
If this response grates on some of you out there? Consider the other options you have, how you might be making others feel, and that it's actually completely okay to tell yourself no. You won't perish if you tell yourself no to taking on a new muse when you, honestly, should not! It'll be okay! Maybe, you just need to evaluate if there is another muse, or more than one, you should remove before adding one. Maybe, you just need some time to reorganize how you reply before you add this one. "No" when told to yourself can simply mean "no, not right now, it isn't a good time/situation."
