summary : oushi doesn't like you, period.

⊂ rei: i'm a sucker for this guy and i haven't seen fanfics about him >:/ i'm so close on making a ff about him, i swear. ⊃

everyone could see how much oushi hates your guts. but he swears, he has good reasons why the fuck he hates you so much. first, because you are annoying. second, because you are too lazy for his liking (he made the whole damn project on that one project when the two of you got assigned together as partners which is so unfair) and third, but not the least, you are itsuomi's younger sister.

whenever the two of you were together, it's either oushi was so pissed and dragging you around or yelling at you. or he practically gave up and accepted his fate and just seat next to you, blankly eating bread since there was no vacant seat in the cafeteria. and everyone really prefers the second one because they only have a peaceful time whenever the two of you aren't together or whenever you and oushi aren't fighting.

but it was different in the perspective of selected individuals. like yuki, who always notices the change of expression in oushi's face whenever he sees you. sure, he still has that resting bitch face but— yuki couldn't deny the fact that oushi's face always softens a little bit whenever he sees you. while on the other hand, your older brother, itsuomi knows how lazy you are and how much you hates interacting with humans. but it was different when you were with oushi.

he can see the change in your behaviour, he noticed how you smile more often than usual. or how your face brightens up whenever your eyes see oushi. or how much you were enjoying school because of oushi. both yuki, itsuomi and the others can see the fact that you and oushi like each other. but the two of you were way too stubborn to notice that fact and it was frustrating for them.

actually, despite claiming that you hate each other. the two of you often hang out with each other. arcades, movies, eating in your and oushi's favourite fast food chains, taking you out for shopping— just name it, because oushi was sure that he already visited or done it with you. while others exclaimed that it was date— you and oushi are dating. you and oushi was like 'wtf are you talking about? we're just bored and he/she happens to be free that day?'

i can see that the first one who realized their feeling was oushi. you see, this guy despite his grumpy attitude was very well aware of his surroundings and his own feelings. i can see how awkward he will be when he realises his feelings. but when he saw you being dense as hell — he was pissed. it was much easier when he fell in love with yuki, but it wasn't the same for you 'cause you were so stupid in oushi's eyes.

but seeing how you unconsciously showing your affections to him. like letting him rest his head on your shoulder, staying with him whenever he has problem, giving him small gifts (mainly handmade) was enough to convince oushi that you like him too. and he fucking loves it.

wanna hear how he confessed his feelings? oh, i'll tell ya. so, you got invited to a certain gathering with your seniors along with oushi and they started teasing you and oushi, asking things like ‘are you guys dating~?’ and you denied it. and boy, you made a wrong move because it only pissed oushi so much. and by the time that the gathering was finished, oushi grabbed that chance to confront you about it.

“what made you think that i don't want to date you?”

“what?”

“i'm pretty sure that your ears are working properly, (first name).”

“meanie.”

“and you're a big idiot.”

so, we all know the fact that he eas rejected by yuki. and that was the main reason why he was scared to fall in love again. but damn, you just came into his life— wrecking the damn wall that he built around his heart.

and now you're saying that it's impossible for the two of you to date because he hates you? what are you, and idiot? or you just hates using that damn pea-size brain of yours?

so while you were happily telling him the various reasons why he doesn't want to date you. he mumbled an apology which you didn't heard properly and before you could react— you already felt his lips on you. you blinked, surprised. while on the other hand, oushi smirked seeing the pink dust on your cheeks.

you were about to ask what was that for when oushi rested his forehead on yours, not even bothering to break the eye contact as he spoke with the most gentle tone that he can. saying the words that you didn't expected to hear from him outta all people in this universe.

oushi is a sweet guy, i swear. despite of being grumpy and short fused. he was more than willing to do anything for the girl that he like.

oh, by the way. expect a lot of cuddles, kisses and gifts from him once you agreed to become his girlfriend. don't worry, he will make sure that you won't regret agreeing to become his girlfriend because he is more than willing to give the whole world. also, expect that he will probably tutor you when you fail the exams. jeez, what an idiot— but you are his idiot.

I'm not gonna sleep at this point so more Oushi salt for the anime only

Oushi is such an example of how male characters will be allowed to treat the female lead however he want because "deep down" he love her.

He just insinuated that she doesn't have real friend and shouldn't be at college. But it's ok that he belittle her capacity to make friends, that she's valuable to others and could be successful in highed education. He love her. And like everyone who love someone he make her feel bad.

I guess him being happy for her would be too green flag boring bland.

People always find him excuse. He's in college. He's not Damian from spy x family.

Also people love to act like he's not the responsible for Yuki not liking him. Why do you expect her to? Too used to male characters who are mean and get away with it because it's the female lead duty to never be upset with his behavior beside "oh stop" and thinking that beside that behavior he's a real friend?

He doesn't act like a friend. Idk for you but I wouldn't want a friend like him. He doesn't even have Yuki's number at the start of the show to give you an idea to how close they are which make people's behavior about it even worst

So at this point they're not that close, he love her but managed to not mature since his first sign language to her who was idiot but it's Yuki the problem for not being a mind reader and not falling for the guy who's rude to her?

You're just used to have character like Oushi being the love interest and character like Yuki to not react to being treated like this.

I don't feel sorry for Oushi. He does try to change now that he see the results of his action.

But it still doesn't mean that Yuki have to fall for him, that he ever was entitled to her.

Stop seeing female character as trophy for your fave male character.

You have been friends with Oushi for years you met in middle school and you had been close since. You were sure he turned to you because his childhood friend got sent off to deaf school but you were happy to be there for him. He would only talk about her from time to time but you hoped eventually he would think of you like you know he thinks of her. Its not hard to see he has been in love with her his whole life. One day you decide you want things to change you are tired of being just his friend, you have been in love with him for years. He has such a good heart and the first time you saw him help a deaf person your heart fell for him then. His looks he doesn't think he is all that but he is dreamy in your eyes. If he could only see himself through your eyes he would understand falling for him would be easy.

You happened to see him in the hallway and you were so happy to run up to him as you see him looking over the balcony at your college your not sure yet what he was looking at. Then as soon as you get to him you look down and realize its some girl, you see him starting to sign for her. You feel your heart sink.... could this be his childhood friend. You weren't sure what this meant for you being with him now if she is now going to the same college and she seemed to be with some guy your mind was trying to figure out what this would mean. You stop steps away from him and turn away looking down at the ground. He notices you as you go walking away and he hollers to you. "Oi where are you going?" You turn back to him and your met with his beautiful green eyes. Looking in his eyes captivate you and your thoughts wonder to if you you were enough for him but you feel like with her back now makes you not even close to being enough now. You give him a shrug to your shoulders.

He looks down then catches up to you as he gets close he grabs for your hand and clasps it in his. Your heart felt like it was going to stop, you didn't understand why he was doing it but it didn't matter you always wanted to be close to him yet seems like only nature believes there is something there that needs a push. His expression didn't change as you two walked silently to the end of the hallway. You thought maybe he just needs quiet company tonight, its not like you both haven't gotten together before and just watched a movie and said nothing and you were starting to think he needed it again. Just maybe it will help him get past how he is feeling and let you in. You speak up "Come over to my house we will have a movie night, how does that sound?" He looked up at you and for the first time he looked sad, it made your heart hurt. You found yourself moving your hand so fluidly up to his cheek staring into his sad eyes. You couldn't speak but yet you wanted him to not feel alone even in how he feels.

He didn't push you away and you were grateful as you led him to your car holding his hand still. You walked him into getting in the car then you got in the driver seat. He had already put his seatbelt on and was looking out the window, you could still feel his sadness. You quietly drove to your house, you knew your heart had pined for him so long you never thought how much he must have pined for her, and maybe seeing her with another guy was hurting him more than he could say. You want to be the person he needed in this moment, he had been there for you in past relationship breakups so you wanted to be there for him. Hopefully in time you would be enough for him and he will move on from her to be with you. This whole situation you couldn't figure out why someone would choose someone over him.

That evening you two watched a movie that he had wanted to see. Instead he was sad enough that he leaned into your arms as you held him all night. Your heart hurt and wanted to burst at the same time. Having the feel of his warmth against you all night was a blessing however you knew he was thinking of her and not you, thats the part that hurts. You woke the next morning him still in your arms, you look down and see how innocent he looked. You couldn't fight it anymore you leaned in softly kissing his lips as you see his eyes flutter open he just stares at you as he realizes whats happening. He never kisses back, this broke you, as you pulled back he sat up stunned by what just happened. His words that didn't come scared you because he grabbed his coat and ran out the door without saying anything at all. You slouched back on the couch realizing you may have messed things up by just wanting to be close to him, this may end up pushing him away instead.

You sent him text after text all day and you saw he had read them all but never responded. No matter if you tried to play it off or you apologized neither got him to say anything to you. After most the day going by you decided to go to his house to get the bottom of it all, if your friendship was even salvageable. As you get to his house you see him signing in the middle of road to that girl. He seems angry as he talks to her, you never had a reason to learn sign language so you had no idea what he was saying to her but it did seem like an argument. You wanted him to know you were still there for him even if you made it weird for him. As she runs off and you could see his anger was there along with the pain deep down. You grab his hand sliding your fingers through his and giving it a squeeze, then he looked over at you. He didn't pull away this time he squeezed your hand tighter. "Oushi, can we talk about earlier..?" He looked at you hearing your words he shook his head "Just give me some time, then we can." He looked down at your hand squeezing it tighter "But don't go far I do need you, and I'am grateful your here with me."

You understood but the fact he still wanted you there meant the world to you. You walked him back to his place and his mother wasn't home. He walked you directly to his room which you had only been in a few times since most times it was him at your house hardly ever you at his, well not since you two were young at least. You weren't questioning it though you just wanted to be there for him so you would follow him anywhere. He walked you over to his bed and motioned for you to get in. You crawled into his bed up against the wall and he followed behind pulling the covers up on you both as he leaned his head on your arm. You reached down softly petting his head and you could tell with his soft sigh that you were comforting him. His words rang loud and clear "I'm sorry I didn't react this morning to the kiss well." He sighed again and you could tell this was weighing on his heart and how he felt as he continued. "Its just I have never been with anyone, Yuki was always the one I thought I would be with so I waited." He sighed again as you ran your fingers through his hair comforting him letting him know you are right there he could tell you anything.

You decided to speak up, you took a deep breath "I understand, I know I'm not her... but I have known you a long time. I'm always there for you as you are for me. I know she was your first love, but she has lived her life separate from you but I have lived my life along side of yours." You couldn't believe you were telling him everything hoping that he wouldn't hate you for being so open. Your voice broke as you continued "What I'm saying is I will always be there for you, because I'm in love with you and have been since middle school." Soon as you said that he looked up at you and for the first time his eyes didn't seem so sad. He sat up leaned in and kissed your lips, you weren't sure why but he was kissing you not you kissing him but he was really giving you that intimacy that you dreamed of and your heart felt like it was going to stop. You kissed him back with so much passion and love as you felt his arms pull you in to him closer. It wasn't hard to get lost in those kisses from him. After sometime he eventually broke away but those moments felt like forever yet still gone too soon.

"I feel like maybe I have been in love with you longer than today. That kiss stirred feelings in me about you that I guess was clouded on how I waited for something with Yuki that was never going to happen. But knowing you are in love with me, seems right you are my best friend. Can you ever forgive me from pulling away from you, from making you feel second best to her. You are anything but second best." Your heart was surely going to bust with his words, he had been in love with you yet just didn't realize it. Now your thoughts go back to the fact that means he noticed all you had done for him. How many times he was there for you as you were for him. It only made sense you two should be together. Anyways she seemed irritated when Oushi was fighting with her in the street when you and him had never fought once.

His words rang loud in clear and lived rent free in your head after he spoke them "Its always been you, and if you will have me even in my stupidity for taking so long. I want you to be my girlfriend, I want to have a life with the best friend who has always sheltered my heart. Last night being in your arms I felt safer than I have in my whole life and I know it has to be you, it has to be you that I should and want to be with." You giggled at his request then nodded "Of course I want you I have always wanted you, I will be here for you forever, even when you don't feel like saying anything you can still have my silent love or spoken either way you will always have me, I love you." He smiled at you as he heard those words "I love you too." You closed your eyes and this time you laid in his arms the rest of the night. It wasn't about you keeping him safe but this time he made you feel like it was safe to give him your everything and you looked forward to what this would mean for your future.

Coffee Shop Meet Cute

Its a rainy day and you in your favorite cozy coffee shop thats nestled outskirts of town. You had got in early enough that you didn't get caught in the rain but brought your umbrella just to be safe. You had already grabbed your coffee and had made yourself on the comfy couch pulling out your laptop. You needed to work on some upcoming writing jobs you were being commissioned for. You were sipping your coffee as you set up the laptop on your lap pulling up the documents you needed to get started. It was nearly 6am and the shop had just opened it was completely dead except for the barista running the register. As you began to type the cafe's resident kitten come running across the floor all playful meowing. You took in all these nostalgic things about this one café you had been coming to for years. You smiled at the sweet kitten and went back to your assignment on your computer.

You were on your second cup of coffee when the rain started pouring down outside. You loved of the sound of the rain hitting the glass windows leaving this pitter patter of water saturating the glass. The windows were softly fogging up and this cozy feeling took over. You couldn't help but yawn, so you reached for your coffee drinking more of it hoping you can finish this writing you were so far behind on today. The rain was making you too tired so you put ear buds in and fumbled through your list of songs knowing it still needed to be something peaceful or it would distract you from writing. You smiled as you saw an instrumental piece that would do the job. You had the music lightly playing yet you could still hear the rain and all was just so soothing. Maybe too soothing you kept dozing off, catching yourself every time you almost dropped the laptop.

You heard the door open the last time jarring you awake as you look up at this man drenched with water spilling off of him, he was swearing at the rain. He seemed upset as he walked to the counter ordering, you normally welcomed people as they came in but he seemed to be a bit upset so you decided to refrain. He ordered his coffee and you noticed him out of the corner of your eye, he was looking over at you. The tick tack of your keys on your laptop a little louder than usual, but the quietness of the café made it easy to hear. You still had the music in your ears and the soft rain outside had now turned to heavy rain downpour. The way the gentleman looked there was no doubt the rain had not planned to let up at all anytime soon. This was the best writing weather for you so you were happy with the weather especially since you had a umbrella.

You were looking at your screen as the gentleman walked into the room sitting down at the couch opposite the room from where you were sitting. You bit your lip as you looked up at him trying to get some of the wet clothes off him so he wouldn't catch cold. He was a quiet handsome man with his ruffled brown hair and you were sure you caught sight of his green eyes. You put your laptop down on the table grabbed the blanket off the back of the couch walking over to him as you hold your hand out with it. "Here, this will keep you warm so you don't catch cold." He looked up at you and was met with your warm smile, his grim look on his face softened. "Thanks" Simple words but he got his point across as he took the blanket and wrapped it around himself as he slightly shivered. He watched you head back to your seat across the room.

You got yourself situated again feeling good about yourself as you look up once more and smile as you see him starting to warm up from the cold rain. As you began to start typing again you hear his voice soft at first. "Ou....Oushi." You look up curious what he was talking about. "Excuse me?" You asked because you had not realized what he had said was a name, his name. He explained it was his name and you told him yours as you went back to typing. After a little while of quietness with your music in your ears, and rain still heavy on the glass windows you were starting to dose off again. Then you felt the cushions beside you disturbed as you look up and it was Oushi he had moved over to the couch you were at still wearing the warm blanket but this time he was holding the cafe's little kitten in his arms wrapped up in the blanket with him. You couldn't help but smile, he looked adorable, both of them did.

The little kitten reached up swatting Oushi on the nose and you let out a soft laughter before covering your mouth, knowing it was rude to laugh at someone like that. Before you knew it he had started laughing too and you felt it was ok to laugh with him. The kitten continued to try to bully Oushi as you two couldn't help but share in the laughter of this fuzzy little furball. Before you knew it you and him had started talking and it became such a pleasant time you set your computer down on the table and cuddled up on the couch. You were slightly chilly he motioned for you to come closer and use the blanket with him. This seemed like a weird request when she didn't know him however at the same time you were cold. You shifted a bit closer taking one side of the blanket and wrapping around you.

This chilly day, rain outside, yet snuggled under this blanket with a gentleman you just met yet the conversation has been nothing but pleasant. He told you about how he had been going to school to teach sign language to those that are deaf. He had learned it when he was younger due to a best friend being deaf and he told you all about it. After a few hours you two had gone from being strangers to you feeling like you knew him. You two were laughing and joking even after the kitten had gone his own way. It was about the time for the café to close and you two didn't want to say goodbye and since you had the only umbrella between you two he had agreed to walk with you. As you stepped outside and opened the umbrella as the rain pitter pattered across the top of it. He stepped out grabbing to take the umbrella to hold for you both, when your hands touched and neither of your pulled away just stood there in the moment. You were frozen then he leaned forward and softly kissed your lips, as you both dropped the umbrella and you wrapped your arms around him kissing him deeply as you both got soaked but you two didn't care, this was your meet cute, and the day your life would be changed forever. This is how your romance began with Ouishi and for many years to come your love story plays out.
