WE THE NORTH WEEK 2021 - DAY 007

↬ comfort = visar↫

this probably isn’t a surprise to anyone and it was the first prompt that i knew what i was doing. however. i have tried to write this blurb 184629 times so here we go again.

first, i love this ship and here is how it could have fit in all previous six categories:

HAPPINESS ✔

i don’t think anyone can understand just how happy o am to reply to a visar tag or how happy getting sent some inspo or just talking about these boys make me. even when i’m upset with them i love to get the tag

PAIN ✔

lol do i even have to say anything here? but oh my god do these two cause me pain. they most recently cause me pain i knew was coming when they fought and tez said the L word. and then the other night in my dm’s.

EXCITEMENT ✔

they bring me such excitement. it happens when i see vince’s gif in my alerts or when elle makes me graphics (watch out i can manip now). i get excited when other people compliment them or yell at us about them.

SADNESS ✔

i’m so sad for them, right now because of what vince is going through. but because they’ve never on the same page. mostly though vince makes me sad because of the way he feels because of how he’s been treated by tez. it breaks my heart especially when he didn’t believe that’s how tez felt. leave me here to die.

RELEVANCE ✔

i think their story is a relevant one. they’ve got their own problems, they are fundamentally different from one another (that is not a problem despite times vince thought/thinks it is). they come from two different backgrounds. they’re dealing with relevant topics and they navigate them some times together but also apart on the way they’re affected personally.

INNOVATION ✔

i’m tying this into the reason that they’re relevant. because of what elle and i have them tackle. the fact that this isn’t an easy story to tell even though the environment they’re in is a more tolerable now as a whole. they don’t take a typical route you see with this dynamic. but they’re innovative too because they are that mlm couple that stuck first and i’m glad to have helped elle get that because i saw her trying.

C O M F O R T

now, it’s time for me to gush about my ship, about my boys and my main man. comfort was the only actual option for this ship, for these characters. life is full of ups and downs, highs and lows and everyone has something that brings them comfort during those times. where they search for the thing that will make them feel better and more themselves again. VISAR is my comfort. it does not matter where i am or what i’m feeling i am ALWAYS in the mood for visar. i’m always ready to talk about them, to write about them. my mood is instantly lifted by this ship but even if it’s not nothing gets in the way of me writing replies to vince from tez. i’m pretty sure i’m thinking about them all the time (it might not help that my favourite music genre is sad songs and sad songs embody visar). this ship means so much to me, i adore it and i could talk about it for hours. i love tez, he is my comfort character, i’m very protective of him and the story i’m telling with him.

but if we’re being honest, this ship wouldn’t be what it is without elle and vince. it was elle’s request and when i say it got me because of the word “criminal” that’s not exactly accurate. i mean it did. but the other part of that was vince. i. love. vince. i’m so glad this because an otp rather than a stepping stone. i knew him before he was vince but i think he’s perfect as the man he is now. he is not perfect and elle has worked hard on his character and making sure that he doesn’t fall into certain stereotypes and it’s no surprise she does that so well. but he’s so just so perfect. like that whole thing where people are like “not all men” and i’m like “you’re right, vincent armstrong would never”. i would die for this man, i will forever yell at elle because he is NOT easy and he is NOT naive or gullible. vince is one of my all time favourite characters. i love reading him, and i think he doesn’t get enough appreciation in the way that he deserves. elle said earlier in the week he’s thought of in conjecture with others but know thats never the case with me, he's got a whole part of my head that he occupies by himself. vincent armstrong is a gift. i love the way vince sees the world and i hate that it’s been jaded because of tez. but i love how it’s given him this perspective to realize it’s okay to be selfish.

i can’t wait to explore how tez is going to prove that he’s actually in love with vince so that it’s not just seen as a ploy. this ship just gives me so many feelings in all their different dynamics and i could go on and on and on. and i’m so happy that my writing partner gets excited about them, i think that’s what makes them a joy to write even when they’re hurting us and we send one another crying gifs.

i love them together. i love them separately from one another. so here’s a list of my favourite things you might not of picked up on but should be aware of. (this is not a complete list obviously)

THE BIG EASY RP WEEK 2020 [day three]

↳ best written otp ship (yours) → KAE + ELLE (#VISAR & #JOMAS)

so maybe i cheated a little bit but idk how i’m suppose to choose between these two ships. they’re best written because they’re my most written ships. and i think that’s pretty impressive because they’re pretty even thread wise throughout the year and they’re both a mix of fun and angst, big plots and little filler moments of cute. which means that i get to delve into these characters, (mine and elle’s) so much more then my others. its so nice writing the two ships side by side they’re so different yet we’ve found parallels between them as well. its even more fun because of the connection between vince and tom so there has been a little cross over which i always find amusing.

VINCENT armstrong x CESAR cortez

i really don’t know where to start with these two. but i’m certain they’re going to be the cause of my death. see mlm is kind of my kryptonite and has been since before it was mainstream. so i’ve always wanted a ship like this, but i didn’t think i’d get one quite like this. and its such a pleasure to write even when i hate them. if you were on tbe prior to visar you might have noticed the difficulty getting a writing partner for a m/m (or even f/f) ship to stick. i watched elle try it multiple times with a couple different characters, i had an ad up a couple times for a male love interest. nothing stuck. i almost took the ad for terry but it was bad timing for me. but i will never regret holding out for vincent. because oh my god vince. i absolutely adore this literal beam of sunshine. but if you think that’s all he is you need to take a closer look at him. he’s multidimensional, he’s got real feelings and hurts deeply but loves fiercely. he’s got such a big heart, he gives more then he should but he is learning to value himself and his feelings more. and for some reason the man fell in love with cesar. tez is the polar opposite. he’s storm clouds and trauma, guarded, he’s harsh and selfish. he doesn’t know how to sugar coat anything. but tez is also learning. he’s learning from past mistakes. he’s slowly coming to realize what it is he wants and knows what its going to take to get that. tez may never learn how to love conventionally or traditionally but he will figure out how it works for him. that is one of their tragic components the way they experience and show love and how it does not match up.

i laugh every time i remember they weren’t suppose to be this. they were suppose to be a stepping stone to the next chapter in their lives, apart. but god am i glad it didn’t play out that way.

the thing with visar currently is they are either really good for one another or really bad for each other. they have not figured out how to find that middle ground, that balance. i like writing the two of them because they are complex. together, in their own right and both elle and i stay true to that, we don’t come up with easy fixes, often we make things worse. i love to hate the fact that they’re built on miscommunication and bad timing. that would be the second tragic thing between them, tez does not realize what vince is preparing himself for and vince doesn’t realize what tez is preparing himself to do. they’ve gone through so much this past year. from redefining their relationship to one another a couple of times, to committing murder. tez has been more open with vince in the last year then he’s been in six. their whole thread series of their tarot cards threads were some of my favorite stuff to write last year. i know where they’re going and i can’t wait to get there, because i can’t think of two people that deserve to be happy more.

tez may be the worst thing to happen to vince, but vince is the best thing that’s happened to tez

JOSEPHINE jayakumar x TOMAS pelletier

SIGH jomas. i love jomas. i adore jo. i stalked jo when the her big friend group was still around on the board and interaction with one another frequently and i just really adored her from the start. for the longest time i didn’t really know how to interact with her, lbr because i didn’t know how to branch out. but i have never been happier that i did not have romantic plans for tom when elle brought it up. i wasn’t sure what to expect because i’d never shipped with elle before and visar was still only a month old, but i’ve stalked a lot of elle’s ships on tbe so i knew shipping with her would be a great experience. i have regrets on the daily like one does when there are emotional connections with plots and characters.

i stalked jo but i never really truly knew her and it has been quite the trip getting to know her and i love every inch of her. she is such a good fit for tom and i like to think that he’s a very good fit for her. they’re similar to one another, with their experiences in abandonment, their mothers having been big influences in their lives. but when you look at them you can see how their similarities affected them differently. it hardened jo a bit while tom still allowed himself to be open and vulnerable. they’ve gone from hating one another to dating and one of my favourite things has been the fact that tom had no idea they were dating until just before may. one of the funnest things to write with them is the fact that they roast one another constantly though jo usually gets the best zingers in there, it doesn’t bother tom because he brings up the mark consuelos comment. i appreciate that they have not lost that part of who they are nor the fact that even though they’re dating they don’t always say the right thing with one another.

i feel for jo every time i read that she thinks that she’s not good enough, that she thinks she’s always someone’s second choice. i hurt for her whenever she picks apart her appearance and those insecurities come across her mind. i think this is where one of the most authentic things about them comes into play. tom does not see her like that, which should not be confused with tom thinking she’s perfect. because he doesn’t think that. but he does not care about all those things that make her normal and keep her from looking like a victoria secret model. tom sees those flaws and he’s still all heart eyes over her because he does not need perfect, he just needs her to be jo. she centres tom, calms him down but she also encourages him and you have no idea how happy i am about the fact that jo will encourage tom’s rough play on the ice and then turn right around and mother him the moment the game is over.

i’m gonna cry a lot over these two in the next few months.

Q: O que mais te frustra no projeto atual, ou o que mais te frustrou nos últimos três projetos na qual trabalhou?

Projeto: atual; 'Ígneo Rubi: O Conto da Espada'

O calor estar me desanimando a trabalhar nele de dia pois calor me deixa mole e enjoada.

Eu estar sem notebook pra escrever. O prospecto de escrever tudo no celular sozinho é um horror.

Minha preguiça em trabalhar intensivamente no projeto. Se quisesse, já teria terminado a outline faz tempo pois já tenho material o suficiente, mas sou preguiçosa demais pra isso.

Q: O que mais te orgulha no projeto atual, ou o que mais te orgulhou nos últimos três projetos na qual trabalhou?

A ideia me agradar. Eu tô tentando me ensinar desde agora a visar sucesso qualitativo, e não quantitativo, e embora esteja incerta de se as pessoas realmente gostarão da estória, estou feliz de, por hora ao menos, estar gostando do que estou trabalhando.

O meu processo criativo. Eu tô muito orgulhosa dele ♡ Sei que o processo que tenho agora me renderá a melhor estória que posso escrever no momento, então estou muito feliz.

Språk Compiler som Web Service

Mycket av detta är text lexikalisk analys och klassisk kompilator design spår beskrivningen är en enkel LR1 språk och utkastade ljudtekniska skript optimeras med ett titthål optimeringsfasen. Det leder mig till Elixir och Phoenix. Elixir är ett rent funktionellt språk, stark i textbearbetningsanläggningar som sammanställer till den virtuella maskinen Erlang / OTP. Phoenix är en webbserver ram skriven i Elixir. Elixir / Erlang omfattar alla fördelarna med Open Telecom Platform (OTP) - utformad för ultra underhåll och tillförlitlighet som förväntas av telekomplattformar, såsom övervakade uppgifter och i drift moduluppdateringar. Vi var värd detta på Linux-servrar på Google Cloud Platform (GCP) med en mycket skalbar kluster av Google Compute VMS och Google Cloud Storage.

Dynamisk programmering - en prestandaökning

Programmerings Lösningen utnyttjar dynamisk programmering på många ställen. Dynamisk programmering är där ett problem är (rekursivt) delas upp i många underproblem och där under problem kan uppstå som är identiska med de tidigare. Om en sub-problem är en dubblett, finns det inget behov av att lösa det igen, bara använda den tidigare resultat. En cache resultat tillåter algoritmen att alltid kontrollera cachen innan lösa under problem. Denna teknik används på många nivåer inom lösningen. Elixir datastrukturer visat sig vara mycket tillmötesgående med enkel Elixir kartor som används som cachar. Prestandamätningar visade en genomsnittlig 60% förbättring av CPU-användning och genomförandetiden med cachar utplacerade.

Design Varning - Google Drive

En tidig konstruktion hade den resulterande ljudspåret cachad på Google Drive med webbservern svaret är en omdirigering till den cachade filen. Denna lösning tilltalande eftersom det belånade mycket mogen, skalbar och kostnadseffektiv Google Drive. Men visade det problematiskt med Google Drive snabbt applicera en guvernör i relativt små mängder av last. Det visade sig Google Drive var inte en bra passform för denna typ av tjänster. Om alla förfrågningar på Drive kom från webbtjänsten var strypning tillämpats som begränsade tjänsten. Dessutom var det svårt att leverera Google Drive adresser till kunder på ett sätt som på ett tillförlitligt sätt inte skulle resultera i autentiseringsbegäranden. Google Storage slutligen användas i stället för Google Drive.

Sammanfattning - en fantastisk teknik stack

Elixir visade både en perfekt passform för detta projekt och ett verkligt nöje att arbeta i. Verktyg kring språket är mogen och ändamålsenlig är OTP-plattformen är den bästa lösningen för pålitlighet och underhåll samt begränsningav rent funktionellt språk visat sig vara mer av en fördel än en begränsning. Mindre verkligen kan vara mer med programmeringsspråk design. Google Cloud Platform gör driftsättning infrastruktur, övervakning och underhåll så mycket lättare än att hantera fysisk hårdvara. GCP verktygsuppsättning har mognat och anläggningarna är omfattande. Vi rekommenderar fullt Phoenix / Elixir / GCP teknik stacken för att utveckla och distribuera verksamhetskritiska, komplexa webbtjänster.

Song Rytm Tracks

TBE Week 2020: Someone Else’s Best Written Ship (OTP) ↳ Cesar Cortez and Vincent Armstrong (Written by Kae and Elle)

i didn’t even have to think on this one. there are so many amazing ships on tbe, but this one has stood out since the beginning. i stalk every thread between them because the dynamic between tez and vince is just so good and i’m addicted. but its not just the dynamic that pulls me in. its the writing. its the emotion in the narration and the way the threads just pull at me. there have been threads where i’m at the edge of my seat, literally SCREAMING at kae on discord because HOW DARE YOU. to me, that’s an important part of something being considered well-written. at least for me. i need to feel something from what i’m reading and damn do i feel something reading visar.

i’m looking forward to see how these two develop further in year six. i’ve been along for the ride the entire time and i don’t care how bumpy it is. i will go down with this ship, because it consistantly makes me feel things and its just so good.
