For the winter otp questions, could you do Yelena? I thought of her when I saw them. Don't know who to pair her with though! ☺️ Just pictured her all wintered up. Maybe some gen with Natasha? All the numbers if that's not too much? 👉👈 They're all so cute.

Is it this one that you're talking about? I have two Christmas prompts. I can't help in terms of shipping, but I was thinking Natasha and Yelena as sisters. This is in a verse where Natasha lives, because she deserved better.

Holly: Will you include the mistletoe tradition in your works? Do your characters participate? Have you ever celebrated this tradition in your own home? Yelena and Natasha refuse to do mistletoe in their own homes. The Avengers compound had one, but it caused too much controversy. Tony insists they stay at his parties, though. Melina and Alexei have one in the threshold of their bedroom where the girls will absolutely not go in and Melina and Alexei get their kisses anyway. If Natasha is dating someone, she MIGHT tolerate a mistletoe. Yelena will not.

Peppermint: Thoughts and opinions on ugly Christmas sweaters? Yelena: It takes some time because Yelena finds they clash with her fashion style - she's the more fashion conscious between her and Nat, but later on? Yelena LOVES them and can't get enough of them. She just had to find the right one to be interested. Natasha: Natasha might find an ironic one or one that is more of a meme. Not like a cat pics meme but a meme of the avengers that she's decided to adopt as her own. However, there is nothing too crazy with her. It's not her thing.

Chocolate: Reaction to the first snow of the year. It's meh for them. They grew up in Russia. They acknowledge it can sometimes be beautiful, but Natasha thinks of all the sludge that comes with it. Yelena finds it more beautiful that Nat, but only when it's the big fluffy snow which she does not see very often.

Tree: Who convinces who to get a real tree this year? Natasha is the one who convinces Yelena. Yelena is very environmentally conscious, while Nat is as well, Yelena tends to take it more seriously. They debate what is truly more "Green" (get it?)However, after rock, paper, scissors, Natasha wins and they find a real tree - which Tony volunteers to laser cut it while Steve volunteered to cut for them. They politely refused.

Apple: Something you’re characters like to do as a couple/group. Yelena likes selfies/family pictures. She can't help it. She wants to make up for lost time and make as many memories as she can. The pictures make these memories more tangible and despite the pictures of the past being fake, she still enjoyed the memories of taking those pictures. She also loves playing tourist and taking Natasha or Kate with her. Natasha loves trying new cafes and restaurants, but also cooking for others. She has a special fondness for domesticity. She's not entirely sure why, but she thinks it's because it can be a form of peace from her busy hectic life. Melina approves because, "Cooking is just chemistry". Gift: Who has been waiting all year to give their gift to another person? How long have they planned it? Both girls do. Natasha is a strategist and planner. She naturally and selflessly has always put a lot of time and effort into caring for others and finding out what they truly enjoy. Natasha is the type of girl who finds the most obscure thing on Ebay and gifts it to you...but she'd rather hunt it down for herself like a scavenger hunt. The more obscure, the better. Yelena WANTS to do the same, but realizes she's not as good at it or patient as Natasha. She tries to make something instead...only for it to go wrong. Knitting goes wrong, crotchet goes wrong...but metal working? Goes quite well and she will make either a weapon, something useful, or a decorative sculpture. (Please let me have welder or blacksmith Yelena.)

Cinnamon: Favorite festive drink. Natasha: Mulled Wine Yelena: Hot chocolate with vodka and cinnamon to spice it up. Mug: Do they have a cheesy cup they use specifically for the holidays? Natasha: Yes, actually. Clint's kids gave her a mug in the shape of a snowman. Yelena does not have one...yet. Kate is on a secret mission to find the perfect one for Yelena.

Cider: Something they’re worried about during this time of the year. Natasha worries about Steve. She knows she shouldn't. She knows he's an adult, but she still knows what it means to be alone. Luckily, Bucky is with him this Christmas and she worries a little less. She also hopes that things stay quiet for once in her life. Yelena is worried about what sort of memories she'll unlock if she visits Melina and Alexei. She had some pleasant memories during her time in Ohio, but sometimes, remembering these memories can be painful for her.

Eggnog: Favorite winter activity. Natasha: Ice skating and sitting by the yule log. She loved athletics and then warming up all nice and cozy warming up with hot tea. Yelena: Snow sledding! The girl is chaotic energy and loves having fun. She has to release that energy somehow. She doesn't mind getting messy, either. If she can trip Natasha or Kate to fall into the sled, even better.

Turkey: How are they coping this year? Is this time of the year hard for them? I hc that Natasha has S.A.D. disorder, sometimes. I also believe it's possible for the Widows to be especially busy around Christmas as with so many formal events, it would be the perfect time to eliminate certain marks. Sometimes, she broods - with good reason. Yelena didn't remember her past Christmases to know to miss it. She vaguely remembers the ones in Ohio and those were happy times for her. Other than that, no.

Fuzzy socks: Favorite chill hangout activity (OTP or group activity)? Natasha loves movies while Yelena loves board games. She fully takes advantage of game nights whether it's with Melina and Alexei, Kate and Clint's family, or with the Avengers. She swears she doesn't cheat. As you can imagine, this does not stay a "chill" activity for long.

Blankets: Do they prefer to leave the house or stay inside during the winter. Both women were trained to tolerate the weather no matter what. The cold doesn't bother them so much. Nat is always working so she hardly thinks about the cold. However, she does enjoy her time alone indoors. Yelena loves being outside, but sometimes, there is such a thing as being too cold.

Christmas lights: How much do they decorate the house? Yelena loves to raid Target and especially loves the Featherly Friends bird collection as well as knit blankets, twinkling lights and candles with just a hint of tinsel. She learned the hard way that it gets EVERYWHERE. Natasha doesn't really decorate. She still has the mentality that she shouldn't become accustomed to living in one place for too long. However, Steve has painted her a winter scene, The Barton children have gifted her crafts, which she has displayed on her fridge as well as a few gifts from Tony, Thor, Bruce and Wanda over the years. However, she still keeps it minimal.

Family: Do they have family they’re going to see? It depends, sometimes it's the Avengers - with Natasha being closer to some more than others. Sometimes, it's Yelena visiting Kate before she and Natasha have a quiet Christmas together. Sometimes, it's Natasha with the Bartons, or it's with Melina and Alexei

Snow: What are they naming their first snowman of the year? Natasha thinks it's stupid and won't do it. Okay, fine, she'll do it for Clint's children. They name it Fred. Yelena names hers Rodney.

Tradition: What are their yearly traditions? Natasha remembers watching the Nutcracker ballet on tape or if they were especially fortunate, seeing it in person. She has a complicated history with ballet, but she's always loved the Nutcracker. Yelena, meanwhile, wants to eat Russian teacake cookies. Notice I said eat, not bake.

Pine Needle: What are they doing on Christmas Eve? Well, Hawkeye showed that it could be better. However, this is a "She lives" Au. Usually, they are with the Avengers, their "parents", hanging with each other, or Yelena will make a point to visit Kate. Honestly, Yelena makes it a tradition to visit or leave some sort of hidden message or note for Kate each year in remembrance of their first meeting. Yelena wants to go out and see the lights whereas Nat has to be dragged out. Once she's in her comfy PJ's and bathrobe - there is no moving. Sorry, Yelena, those puppy eyes won't work.

Ornament: What are they doing on Christmas Morning? Natasha would like to sleep in, but she knows that her body isn't going to let her. Too many years of training, regulation and routine. Yelena is in the same position, but she will take back her sleep schedule, thank you very much. Then the girls have pancakes, before going to Melina and Alexei's house if they were not sleeping over already. There, Melina makes a huge traditional Russian feast which she most certainly expects the girls to assist...Alexei goes and naps. Then they open gifts, Alexei sings songs and tell stories before Yelena insists they watch an American Christmas movie because she finds them hilarious. However, Natasha also loves spending time with the Avengers, especially Steve since he doesn't have family at this time. Sometimes, if she's in the States, she'll have a small family dinner with Steve, Clint, and some years Wanda while they show Steve It's A Wonderful Life. He, in turn, wants to watch Christmas films from his era including The Shop Around the Corner and Holiday Inn.

Tbh it literally just came to me

I had already begun shipping TapeBand literally before I first drew my Legion (I hate the old designs, they’re so cursed—) and I had decided to challenge myself by making a Stapler Gijinka with a whole personality since I hadn’t seen anybody do that and Stapler is one of my favorites and I also was upset that Nintendo couldn’t just come up with a 6th personality and made a dog and made us kill a dog, that did not sit right with me. So I created Stacey, the twin sister to my Scissors.

So I was daydreaming about TapeBand bc that was my OTP at the time, I was literally so obsessed with them. And then during one of the daydreams I saw Jean and Stacey flirting with each other in the background and next thing I knew, I was shipping them so hard and drew them together a lot

It’s perfect to me bc Copen is first while Stapler is last so this actually made a perfect storyline for them. Also they both have a biting attack in the game and their finishers have to do with their mouths and they also both shoot you :0

Yeah this is a true Rarepair indeed, I have literally never met or seen anybody else with the StapCils ship before. My friends are the biggest fans of my StapCils ship though NXJDWOSKDNKA

Favorite thing about him: Bill's obviously a weird guy, and I love how weird he can get. It's a pretty fun contrast to his design with the bow tie and top hat, stuff you'd usually associate with elegance and refinement. Turns out the most "refined" thing about him is his piano skills.

Least favorite thing about him: It's less something I dislike about him, and more the direction the creators chose to take his character. We never really learn about his past, other than the fact he burned his own dimension to the ground and "He says he's happy. He's a liar." I would've really liked to see that side of his character instead of leaving it a mystery, as on brand as that is.

A Tradition

For @thefanficfaerie​‘s OTP Challenge (2020)   Words: 723 Pairing: Steve Rogers x Reader   Prompt: Winter Wonderland: Day 4 - A Tradition  Summary: Reader & Steve are making paper chain garland to decorate with, a tradition she used to do with her brother and sister when she was younger. Being away from the family this year has been hard. Steve thinks he knows of one way he can help his best gal still see her family close. 

“Now this is a Christmas tradition I know something about.” Steve informed you confidently. The two of you were sitting on the couch in your living room. You were cutting strips of colored paper and looping them through one another to form paper chains. “Buck and I used to make these every year.” He told you as he squeezed a dab of white glue onto one of his paper strips. “We used to have a competition to see who could make the longest one.”

“Well, I know how competitive you can be. I assume you always won?” You guessed. You reached for the scissors and began cutting more paper strips.

“It was probably about half and half.” Steve confessed. “But honestly we always got distracted by something else before a winner was declared.”

“My brother and I used to make these.” You told him. “My sister too, but she didn’t like crafts much. She’d stay for maybe twenty minutes. Just long enough to cut one sheet of paper and glue maybe five or six links before she’d sneak away to play with the cat or do something else. It’s doing little things with them like this that I miss the most. It’s not really the same as an adult.” You sighed. “Though I guess nothing is the same this year.”

“I’m going to make another coffee. Do you want one?” Steve asked picking up his coffee cup.

“No thanks.” You shook your head. Steve disappeared for a while. Longer than a cup of coffee took to make. You didn’t notice because you were occupied with your craft project. When Steve did return, he was holding an iPad and talking to it. “Do you need help with that thing?”

“No, no. I got it.” Steve promised. “It did take me a minute to figure out but…” Steve placed the iPad down on the coffee table. You looked down to see your brother & your sister’s faces looking back at you.

“Hey sis!” Your sister waved excitedly from her half of the screen.

“Steve says you’re making paper chains, like when we were kids?” You brother asked. He tilted the camera on his phone so that you could see his own two kids sitting on the floor of their living room making paper chains. “Great minds think alike, right?” Your brother laughed.

“No way!” Your sister exclaimed. “I made some too, but I did mine last week.” She tilted her head slight and pointed to the background where you could see a small chain of silver and gold hanging across a bookcase in her bedroom.  “Oh, I miss doing those with you guys so much!”

“I miss you guys too!” You blinked, fighting back the happy tears that were threating to spill out. It wasn’t just that you were happy to see and talk with your siblings, though that was important to you too. It was also a comfort to know that they were carrying on small family traditions in their own homes. It felt like you had a small part of each other represented in your houses despite the physical distance away.  

You chatted with your brother and sister for an hour or so. They talked about how they’d been since you talked last. Your niece showed you some drawings she made, and your nephew told you about how much he liked doing school at home. Eventually the call had to come to an end as your sister had grocery shopping to do and your brother had to take his kids to pick out a tree. But you promised to talk again soon before ending the call.

“Thank you.” Was the first thing you said to Steve. “I didn’t know how much I needed that. It helped, talking to them.”

“I know we’re trying to do an old-fashioned Christmas,” Steve said, “But I recognize that technology has it’s benefits too. Just because you and your family can’t physically be together this year, doesn’t mean we can’t all come together to celebrate.”

“I’m genuinely impressed that you knew how to do a three-way Facetime call.” You smiled at him proudly.

“Oh I had no idea.” Steve confessed. “I texted Tony for step-by-step instructions. That’s why it took me so long to make a coffee.”

“Well, the grand gesture is noted just the same.” You insisted.

omg okay the one that inspired that post specifically was this playlist for dazai osamu from bungo stray dogs (which i started watching 2 days ago & am going mildly insane over HELP).  i haven’t listened to all of it yet, but i got to “i can’t decide” by scissor sisters & between the incredibly dark lyrics & super upbeat music it had such massive dazai energy that i immediately lost my mind.

a few other fanmixes on my regular rotation recently have been this one for kakeru & yuki, who are my new fruits basket otp (there’s so little content of them & i’m dying i need more) and this happy asheiji playlist bc they deserve a happy ending.

i’ve noticed the same two dozen songs end up on basically every ship mix on spotify, so any playlist that breaks the mold & uses less common songs makes me vv happy.  also yes i’m in bungo stray dogs hell pls help i don’t know what to do with myself

Another OTP Questions: Scorose That No One Asked For.

1. Who can eat everything while the other can barely finish anything? Rose, I mean she is a Weasley after all. Scorpius can barely finish anything.

 2. Who makes the other breakfast in bed? Scorpius, because he likes to spoil Rose as much as possible

 3. Who listens to the same song over and over again, even though the other doesn’t like it, but now the other can hum along to it? Rose of course. She screams the lyrics to The Weird Sisters’ new song and owns all their albums. Scorpius will survive though.

4. Out of your otp friends, who would they trust to babysit their kid(s)? Rose and Scorpius would let Victoire babysit their kids since she loves them and has a motherly nature. Albus disappears all the bloody time and has a messy lifestyle.

5. Do they use rock, paper, scissors to solve any disputes? They prefer to play one-on-one Quidditch match to resolve their disputes, although it waste their time. But they don’t care. They just try to find a way to include Quidditch in every situation possible.

6. Who would win at scrabble? Rose!

7. Who gets hurt, and who has the glow in the dark bandaids? I think Rose would get more hurt than Scorpius since she is more reckless. Scorpius would be obsessed with Muggle products and probably owns them.

8. Who flinches when they see something cringy? Scorpius since he can't handle awkward situations.

9. Who would bring back a sick bird from a walk and heal it before setting it free? Rose. At one point, she ends up owning five magical creatures as pets. Illegally of course. 

 10. Who likes to cuddle up to the other in bed so they can sleep better? Both!

okay so my headcanons so far: AKASHI SEIKA

-first born, and kaizen’s older twin sister (i imagine akakuro were in their late 20′s when kuroko finally accepted akashi’s proposal cuz he’s an independent young man who don’t need yo money) 

-if abo is applicable, she’s the alpha female who’ll become the Empress of Akashi Corp. one day lmao

-very into gore and power dynamics like her father, but as emo as her dear mother (despite kuroko’s insistence that he’s a male, since he birthed her, he’s technically her mom so seika doesn’t really care)

-she has way more energy than her parents combined and probably the physical incarnation of bokushi

-she’s the only akakuro kid that became a basketball nerd too 

-also, kaizen basically babysits her on a daily basis bc yOU HAVE SEEN BOKUSHI’S SCISSORS SCENES RIGHT?? IMAGINE IF THAT WERE A PERSON’S ACTUAL PERSONALITY

-i think kise rubbed of some of his sparkles on her, and kuroko is blinded by his daughter on a daily basis (also kuroko’s surname is akashi in the documents but he’s kuroko  tetsuya everywhere else)

AKASHI KAIZEN

-the middle child who’s also the younger twin (i think they might be born somewhere late in october)

- if abo is applicable, he’s the only omega child and papa is in his most protective father mode with him (in contrast to his rivalry with his daughter to almost everything -they also fight for kuroko’s attention every day lol)

-pretty much kuroko with akashi features sans eyes BUT when kuroko is more monotone, neutral and as masculine as an omega can be, kai is way more expressive, easily embarrassed, and basically a tsundere??

-he used to play basketball with his family when he was a kid, but he wasn’t interested in joining an actual team and devotes his time to the arts (animatics, webtoons and fanarts galore)

-he’s still somewhat a basketball fan tho, just not a player  (papa and chichiue are still proud)

AKASHI YUKI (his hair and eyes are really light blue if you’re wondering)

-he’s the youngest by a grand 10 years from his older siblings (the pic says otherwise, i know) and probably born on april 1st or smth bc nobody believed kuroko when he said he was having third kid at his age lmao)

-he’s the wild card of the family-

-like legit, in the abo, he was the one who wore traditionally fem clothes so everybody thought he was going to be another omega but then boom growth spurt and he’s an alpha ;-;

-still likes dem dresses tho

-pretty simple minded in a mister cheese sort of way (the akashi genius still lives within him tho) 

-the only one who got the full misdirection package from kuroko (apparently the twins’ red hair are hard to miss)

...who made his parent’s eyes sweat with his decision to become a volleyball player (they still love and support him tho)

NOTE: yeah having akakuro as parents lead to a very stiff childhood, but rest assured, that’s just the parents’ personality and they still spoil them in their own way)

also yeah, they refer to them as their current closeness would have it:

seika refers to akashi and kuroko as ‘father’ and ‘*insert compliment* mother (or mama if she’s in her vulnerable states) because of her (reasonable) logic and because father is her eternal arch nemesis muahaha

the ‘papa’ thing between akashi and kai indicates their closeness, while he calls kuroko ‘chichiue’ because well, their similar personalities don’t really convey their affection for one another so yeah

yuki just calls them both dad so it’s pretty confusing or daddy/mommy for distinction but the unholiness to the couple is very apparent . He’s pretty neutral when it comes to favoritism (he slightly prefers kuroko  over akashi tho)

SO THAT’S IT FOR NOW, AND THIS IS HONESTLY MY STRESS RELIEF NOW SO YEAH
