how I feel about this character - I don't talk about her much but she's one of my favs honestly. she's a shallow vain pretentious selfish bitch and I love that for her. she is SO much more than just "the nagging fiancee," I can definitely see that she's more cunning than she lets on. she's a social climber, she knows how to get up the ranks. she's most definitely backstabbed many people to get where she is. and I love that for her.

all the people I ship romantically with this character- not a ship, but I like how toxic she is with patrick. they remind me of clay and bloberta puppington, just two selfish, shallow assholes who aren't in love and are only together because that's what's expected of them in their society. also, I like the idea of her and courtney together although I haven't really delved into that before. toxic yuri for the win

my unpopular opinion about this character- the fandom needs to show her more attention honestly, there's so much potential to explore her character and I just don't see it.

one thing I wish would happen to her in canon- give her a movie. give her a movie or a book or something ! even a short story. I think it'd be interesting to see her perspective. she's very similar to patrick in that they both want more, they both want to be at the top, and they fill the void with material things and status symbols. their perceived place in society, as an important part of the white american elite, versus their actual place, as an unimportant, insignificant, practically faceless and nameless member of a group that is just like them, that will never be distinguishable from their peer group. I can see evelyn, like patrick, having a breakdown over that realization, and I'd want to see what would happen

Trying was...novel. Not that William hadn’t been ‘trying’ before--he wasn’t an idiot; he knew relationships required effort, et cetera, et cetera. But sulking and wishing that the entire, ceaseless march toward the end of the universe would either halt or hurry the heck up wasn’t making Hye happy. He hated watching as Hye became more and more resigned, more tired of their relationship. Martyring himself just wasn’t worth it, not in the face of that. So. Trying. Trying to be happier, even though he did not deserve happiness; trying to do the things that made him happy, instead of shying away from them on the grounds that he had not earned them back. 

Philosophical implications aside, it felt unnatural. He’d spent month’s brushing past the man he loved, heart-racing but head down, because he wasn’t allowed to touch and brushing off even the most obvious advances because he wasn’t allowed to want. Being here now, Hye stepping ever-closer, he almost whispered, “it’s okay,” out loud to himself when his shoulder blades hit the wall. Not because he was scared, but because he was worried--irrationally, like all worries--that he forgot how to do this. Hye expected an answer, and William couldn’t even remember the question anymore. His head was filled with flashes. Things he could picture, or memories, or just ideas, abstract but real enough in shape.

Hye parted his lips, to take a breath or let out say something, and William made a decision. The distance was farther than he might have expected, but by the time his nose touched Hye’s, he could still feel the cool press of the wall, so it wasn’t that far. His hands peeled themselves off the wall, though, finding Hye’s wrists without fumbling, and he froze there, hoping despite his usual insistance that they couldn’t, not after what he’d done, that Hye would close the last millimeter between them.

favorite thing about them: He's just so fascinating on like every level. His whole backstory (whether you go with the anime or PHF, I personally headcanon a mixture of both), the constant conflict he's in with himself that's symbolized by his hatred of his own stand, Purple Haze having so much symbolic meaning (the anger obviously, the fact that he can hurt himself just as easily as others, his inability to undo the virus once it's infected someone at first, PHF MAKING HIM ABLE TO COUNTERACT THE VIRUS/HELP FIX HIS OWN MISTAKES EVEN IF IT'S NOT A PERFECT CURE, the persistent cleaning of both his body and soul/conscience, I could go on), and all of the internal stuff that we get to see in PHF... even the meta stuff with Araki designing him as a traitor who would eventually have to face off against Giorno... ughhhh... he's my main blorbo for a reason

least favorite thing about them: I know my bio says "Fugo apologist" and all, but. Lowkey. I won't justify him leaving the gang. It was rational and smart and it made sense with his character, sure, but I still fully believe it was a dick move. I rewatched VA with a friend recently and was like "ughhh fuck you Fugo you fucking suck" at the screen during the boat scene, and my friend just looked at me like "??? Isn't he your favorite boy???" OTP: Hi I love Fugio so very very much. Narrative foils are like. My favorite thing ever. And there's something really cool and poetic about two people who are so fundamentally opposite, but ultimately come to understand and balance each other in a way that no one else quite can, if that makes sense. They allow for each other to heal, but also gently push towards growth, and like. At the end of the day. They're just two incredibly awkward teenagers who have gotten in over their heads in tragic situations, and the concept of them getting to experience some semblance of youth in their clumsy little young love is really sweet. I guarantee none of that makes sense, but uh. tldr I have a lot of Fugio thoughts floating around in my head constantly. (Also, not to be obvious, but literally every aspect of PHF? Yeah. The lyrics to A Solider in Love are literally about a man leaving for war and longing to return to his lover once his mission's complete. It's not subtle.)

random headcanon: Since Araki won't give him a canon music taste, I will. 100% dead serious he loves Weezer. He also really likes REM, The Smiths, The Cure, and a lot of classic rock. He wasn't allowed to listen to pop music growing up, so once he joined the gang, his music taste sort of became an amalgamation of the other gang members'; Bucciarati got him into classic rock, and Abbacchio introduced him to the alternative stuff. Secretly, he really likes Narancia's rap/hip-hop and Mista's folk and soft rock, too, but he's too pretentious to admit it. Also, he's a good singer.

He went to jail for three years just on the off-chance Will might come visit someday, in an act explicitly paralleled to supplication before a god. So like, how completely ridiculouly gone he is for Will.

Will:

He falls in love with Hannibal not despite his (v sexualized) desire to murder him in season 2, but because of it. He knows himself best when he's with Hannibal because wanting to kill someone as evil as Hannibal allows him to accept his desire for violence and power. And then when it comes down to it he can't go through with killing him, because that feeling is why he fell for Hannibal.

least favorite thing about them

Hannibal:

He's perfect. I guess I'll say the moment he said the line, "what a cunning boy you are," because it ruined like every 3rd fanfic for me. Fuller why.

Will:

While the show came down on the free will side of things, I don't like the way it teased the implication that he could have been brainwashed by Hannibal, because like, it's hard to understand all the nuances of the show, it's oblique as hell, and a lot of people still take it as read that he was brainwashed to some extent, which sucks.

I love that he's the Franklyn to Bedelia's Hannibal, I love that Bedelia manipulates him into attempting to kill Will because, as she (uh sort of) explains in season 3, she saw him as an injured bird and wanted to finish the job, I love that Bedelia walks away consequence free til the very end, I love how scathing she is to Will lmao and how judgemental she is towards Hannibal for being obsessed with Will... their dynamic is just great.

Will:

Bev, I guess, though I wasn't as into their friendship as a lot of fans were. She was a great grounded counterpoint to the pretentiousness lol and they had a good vibe together.

Also the fact that he tossed a coin before foiling Bella's suicide attempt says volumes about how he wanted to respect her wishes - it would've absolutely fucked him over with Jack if he just let her die in his office, or at the very least he would've missed a huge opportunity to keep Jack on his side.

Hannibal:

He did not successfully manipulate Will in season 1. He tried, and he failed. The closest he got was Will non-fatally shooting Abel. What actually unleashed Will's inner killer was painting a target on his own back by killing Will's friends and inspiring him to want revenge.

Will:

He's not shy, he doesn’t connect with many people, but if he's socially awkward it's bc he doesn't give a fuck, not because he's nervous, and he's kind of an asshole. He's also the only person who ever snaps at Jack and he stuns his coworkers with his ballsineses when he does it, as soon as he wanted a marriage he went out and got one, and most of his ott weirdness in season 1 is due to the brain damage-y disease he has. He's a loner by choice.

1. Are they more “cute forehead kisses” or “hot making out” kind of couple? Maybe one prefers first option and the other one the second? How do they deal, in that case?

Ice and Mav are more of a "hot making out" kind of couple when they first get together, but as the years go by they develop a fondness for cute forehead kisses and the like as well - especially once they're married and can engage in the occasional public display of affection. Mav likes it when Ice kisses him on the nose and on the forehead, and Ice is a fan of cheek kisses and neck kisses, and both enjoy making out lol. Whatever feels most natural at the moment is what they go for.

Harry and Perry are definitely a "hot making out" kind of couple - the more cutesy types of kisses aren't really their thing, especially not in public. Occasionally Harry will bring Perry his morning coffee and kiss him on the forehead, or on the top of his head, and Perry will do his utmost to pretend not to like it.

2. If they wanted to shower their significant other with affection, how would they do that? Dinner in some fancy restaurant, gift, kisses and cuddles or an evening together on a couch with hot tea and very intimate talk?

Mav would treat Ice to dinner in a fancy restaurant, followed by a romantic evening featuring wine and rose petals between the bedsheets. Ice would cook Mav's favorite meal and they'd either go out for a night on the town or they'd spend the evening together at home with a stupid movie on TV (while they make out and/or have sex on the couch).

Perry is not really one to shower anybody with big displays of affection, least of all his significant other - with Harry, he shows his affection through touch (holding hands, kisses, embraces, cuddling, etc.), and calls him an idiot a little less often (or just with more fondness than normal). Harry tries now and then to shower Perry with big displays of affection, except in typical Harry fashion his attempts always end in disaster - his gift is stolen, his dinner reservation is canceled, Perry and Harry are kidnapped by the people they're investigating on their way to go to the theater, and so on and so forth. Perry likes old musicals, expensive whiskey, and Harry. Harry does his best to provide.

3. Are they comfortable with showing each other affection in public? If one is and the other one not, how do they interact in public?

Ice and Mav become more comfortable with PDA after they get married - Ice takes a little longer to get used to actually being able to show Mav affection in public, to just be out after so long in the closet, but Mav is patient with him and helps him loosen up. Their PDA doesn't really go further than chaste kisses and holding hands, at least at work functions (where at least half of Mav's sentences start with My husband and I); when they're with friends Mav will put his head against Ice's shoulder when they're seated, maybe sit in his lap as a joke, or Ice will stroke Mav's hair, kiss his hairline.

Perry thinks PDA is stupid until Harry gets flirted with one too many times in front of him; after that, Perry makes a habit out of touching Harry in some capacity, kissing Harry in public, flirting with him, but after a while it becomes less out of jealousy / staking his claim and more of something he actually enjoys doing. Harry flirts right back - he has an entire notebook's worth of pet names for Perry (ranging from baby to Per-bear) - and is pleased that his not-so-evil scheme of being flirted with in front of Perry resulted in Perry being more affectionate with him in public.

Mav and Ice occasionally call each other by their ranks - mostly as foreplay - and 'baby' when they're feeling particularly romantic, but Mav and Ice are usually just Mav and Ice or Mitchell and Kazansky with one another and in front of their friends/family/coworkers.

Perry and Harry's list of pet names for one another are Varied. There are the tried and trues baby and sweetheart, and fond versions of idiot, dick, asshole, pretentious fuck, moron, and stupid fuck, and (in Harry's case, because Perry Will Not Do This) pet versions of their real names, e.g. Per or Per-Bear.

5. If one of them was away for longer time, like a week, how their significant other would greet them back?

Mav and Ice would do their best to keep in touch while the other was away, and would greet the other with Much Enthusiasm when they'd return. Afterwards, to celebrate the other's return, they'd go out to dinner, or take a couple day vacation, or just go straight to bed together and celebrate Properly in the morning. Either way sex is definitely involved.

Harry is more enthusiastic when Perry returns after being away for a longer time - he gets the house clean and/or the office in order and then pretty much jumps Perry the second he gets through the door. (Not that Perry minds.) Perry tries to play it blasé when Harry comes back from an extended trip - he pretends to not have remembered Harry's arrival date, when he's had it circled on his calendar from pretty much the second Harry walked out the door - but is absolutely terrible at it. That blasé attitude lasts about five minutes before Perry and Harry end up in bed with one another. The phrases "So you did miss me" and "shut up Harry" are very well worn by now.

6. How often do they say “I love you” to one another? On daily basics, leaving to work, with a kiss on a cheek and quick “love u, bye!” or it’s more rare and more emotional?

Daily (or almost daily) basics the longer they're together for Icemav, in more rare and emotional cases for Harry and Perry. Harry and Perry are quicker to throw around the occasional sarcastic Love you too babe and I can't believe I love you, but just regular I love yous are reserved for more serious occasions.

7. Do they keep track of each other during the day? Asking how is that important meeting going and texting “I <3 u”? Or they just text each other grocery list and talk when they are both home?

Harry and Perry text each other a lot. Harry is a magnet for trouble, and Perry texts him often during work to make sure he's doing his job (and, during more dangerous cases, because he wants to know if Harry's alright). They text about work more often than not and do talk more often about non-work-related things when they're at home, but there is some overlap. Harry loves it when he can get Perry to go on long rants about something he's passionate about over text when they're both supposed to be working.

Ice and Mav work together as well, but due to the nature of their jobs they don't text each other a lot during work, and catch up on their days at home. They don't have a lot of serious conversations over text either; texts between them contain anything from grocery lists, cat pics, complaints about students, reminders to pick up dry-cleaning, memes, links to interesting articles, strings of emoji, and - yes - many instances of "I <3 u".

8. How long into their relationship they are, when they say “I love you” for the first time? Who says that first? In what situation?

I'm fond of several scenarios for Harry and Perry exchange I Love Yous for the first time - quiet moments, Harry-does-something-stupid-and-gets-injured moments, Perry-does something-stupid-and-gets-injured moments - but the one thing that stays consistent is that it is a While after they've officially gotten together, and Perry is the first one to say it (when Harry is not expecting it).

My main headcanon for Icemav involves their relationship going from friends to FWBs to lovers over the course of a few years, with Mav proposing right before DADT goes into effect. I'm all for Big Dramatic I Love Yous, and no one is more dramatic than these two when they want to be, but honestly, I feel like their first I Love You would come during a quiet moment, not long after they've officially begun a relationship. Maybe Mav says it to Ice over breakfast and Ice responds in kind without even thinking about it. Maybe Ice says it to Mav when they're cuddling in bed. The sky's the limit re: potential situations and who says it first, but I like the idea of it happening during a Quiet Moment.

9. Do they have some unusual ways of saying “I love you”? Squeezing hands, that they both know what means?

(princess bride voice) That day, Harry was amazed to discover that when Perry called him an idiot, what he meant was, "I love you." (I mean, there are a Lot of instances where Perry calls Harry an idiot in the fullest sense of the word, but the point stands lol.)

Ice told Mav once not long after they officially got together that he thought 'boyfriend' sounded juvenile and 'partner' felt too formal, so Mav just stuck to referring to Ice as his wingman. They both have a certain fondness for the word now, and (princess bride voice) When They Say 'You Can Be My Wingman Anytime', What They Actually Mean Is I Love You.

10. How they show affection to the other one in everyday life? Do they cook dinner for each other? Or wash the dishes, even though it’s not their turn, cause they know the other one hates it?

For both couples, it's about the little things. Ice and Mav trade off chores, but if one of them is working late, the other will be responsible for dinner and/or cleaning - Ice Hates shoveling the snow, so Mav hires one of the local neighborhood kids to shovel their driveway and the walkway so Ice won't have to. Perry and Harry may argue about Harry's organization skills (or lack thereof), but Perry knows that if he asks Harry to get something important done, that important thing Will Get Done, and it will get done well, and Harry will get a head start on the work needed to be finished next.

Why I like them: tubbo’s one of those characters who I like because he’s so fucked up. I find him really interesting because we can see Exactly what made tubbo the way he is through all of the streams we see of him. Also he’s just a select few I enjoy to watch while he’s on screen!

Why I don’t: honestly? I don’t think this is a matter of just dislike more of like. Something unnerving. He’s just kinda an asshole. But he’s a different kind of asshole than say, idk, ranboo. Ranboo is just a guy who’s pretentious in your history class. Tubbo is nice but not kind. Tubbo could very easily hurt people even on massive scales, and do it with a smile, because he’s already justified it in his head that it’s for the greater good, it’ll serve the collective many, even if it means he hurts the few. It’s not a matter of dislike it’s just something so Realistic in how disturbing it can be.

Favorite stream: basically all of his snowchester streams. My favorite has to be the interrogation stream he did with foolish. The atmosphere and later tubbo showing foolish pogtopia. It’s a real neat insight on tubbo as a character it’s a shame it’s not talked about moreZ

I love love LOVE writing AUs. I think that it's so much fun to explore how characters would act in different settings, how canon would change if certain scenes happened in a different way, or how relationships would be different if the characters made different choices. A lot of my AUs are self-indulgent nonsensical fluff (as you all know lmao), but I also just like fucking around and really thinking about what would happen if things were different.

HYE AND WILLIAM “ please don’t ”

The words froze William. He’d spent weeks--months, now, if he was being honest with himself--trying to guess at what Hye wanted. Anything Hye wanted. There were plenty of things Hye tolerated, yes, or accepted, but wanted? Other than sex? He just didn’t know, couldn’t seem to figure it out despite all efforts and considerable intellect.

But please don’t--that was the closest Hye had come to telling him in months, and it wasn’t even a complete thought. Please don’t what? Don’t get up? Don’t bring the book? Don’t touch the light-switch his hand was hovering over? Curiosity winning out over his seemingly-constant desire to brood, he turned. Hye was....beautiful, yes, as always, but also unusually wide-eyed, looking up at William instead of his phone. He looked good, though. Healthy. “Don’t what?” he heard himself asking, knowing he’d probably find a way to regretit. Finding regret seemed to be a skill of his.

“Don’t go. Don’t leave.” It was strange, hearing those words in contrast to one another. They meant the same thing, didn’t they? The act of displacing oneself from the current location. And yet. The way Hye said them, the nuanced difference seemed vast. Don’t go meant simply stay put, leave things as they are, but don’t leave meant stay. And the way Hye said it, it bore unexpected weight. 

He looked away, uncomfortable under the weight of Hye’s stare, sadder than he’d expected it to be. Hye let so few of his emotions show in his face, or his words, or actions, really. William needed time to process the new information--something he was good at, when he gave himself the space to do so. “I wasn’t--”

“You always do,” Hye interrupted, a good thing, since William didn’t know what he was going to say that would be truthful.

William stepped back to the bed, lowering himself on the very edge of it. “I’m sorry.” It wasn’t something he said often, though lately, he’d certainly said it an awful lot more.

“I know.” He rolled over, back to William now. “But you keep doing it.”

William allowed himself to imagine a moment where he lashed out. Where he snapped, “I don’t know what else to do!” and Hye rolled back over and showed him what he wanted--not sex, in this version--and everything fixed itself. But he wouldn’t do that. He wasn’t normally inclined to snapping, and Hye was never inclined to explaining himself. “I don’t mean to.”

“But you keep doing it.” William sucked in his teeth, not denying it, just trying to keep himself from crying. Hye didn’t seem to like that. “Whatever.”

William stared at his back. Body language was so strange, not something he’d ever gotten particularly good at, but he could trace the slant from Hye’s ribs to his waist and see emotion in it. So, maybe he was getting better, or maybe he was reading too much into this, but at this point, there was nothing else he hadn’t already tried. Hand nearly shaking from nervousness, he reached out, laying it flush against the only soft part on Hye’s body, the space between his ribs and pelvis. “I need--” He hedged on the word, deciding ultimately to leave it. Needs, he’d read somewhere, were a healthy part of relationships. And knowledge he’d read was how he did everything else. Maybe that was what he really needed. “I need something I can do. I need you to tell me what to do to fix this.”

Hye was quiet for so long, William was able to come up with two possible explanations. First, that he had given up and fallen asleep, and would never hear William’s request. Second, that he was too angry at William to dignify his wants with a response. Both felt equally likely, though the second moreso than the first. His breathing wasn’t deep enough for sleep. William stretched out on the bed. The least he could do was stay. “Just be my boyfriend again.”

“I am,” William answered, unsure whether it was a question or assertion.

“Then fucking act like it.” William expected Hye to curl up, pull away from his hand, or maybe just walk out himself. Hye never did what William expected, and perhaps he should stop setting up expectations. He leaned into the hand, sliding his legs against William’s. William’s lips twitched, and he gave himself a moment of impulse, tilting forward to press his lips against the back of Hye’s neck, where spine met skull. 

Hye rolling his hip sideways, and William’s hand fell in front of him, the closest they’d been physically in long enough that it made William’s heart race, pathetically pounding in his chest. “I--” He stopped there. Hye’s breathing stopped. No turning back now, apparently. “Love you.” Still love you, he’d almost said. As if there had been a question that he’d stopped. He hoped there hadn’t.

Hye didn’t answer that either, or maybe he did. William let his eyes drift shut, so swallowed by his own thoughts, already over-analysing and trying to understand this moment that by the time he woke, he hadn’t noticed himself falling asleep.

Anna rents a rom-com and pulls Hiccup down onto their couch to watch it with her, and he kinda internally groans because he figures it’ll be something super sappy and cheesy and Anna will just be squealing with delight the whole time. Legit as soon as the first scene begins, Anna begins brutally roasting the main couple. Turns out it’s a really terrible rom-com and Anna rented it solely to make fun of it. Hiccup is like “aight this definitely wasn’t what I was expecting but I’m on board” Also Hiccup gets Anna like 3 boxes of fancy chocolate because...do I really need to explain? Anna gets Hiccup a particularly aesthetic floral arrangement for their kitchen table, something she knows damn well he secretly likes but would never admit XD 53. Who swears more? Anna, for sure. This tends to surprise people, but Anna is actually a notorious pottymouth when she gets comfortable XD Hiccup has a pretty big and borderline pretentious vocabulary, and so he tends to express his frustration in more...articulate ways when things don’t go his way. Like he’d stub his toe and just say “wow, I’d literally rather saw off my other leg than have to deal with this right now” while Anna, in the same situation, would let loose every curse word known to man XD 54. Who has the better comebacks? Hiccup, absolutely. His smart-ass comments to every conceivable situation on earth go absolutely unmatched. Anna can’t help but envy how he can almost instinctually pull out a near-perfect snide remark within seconds, whilst she, at best, thinks of the ideal comeback in the shower 3 days later. 55. Who would start a fight with another parent at a bake sale? I feel like Anna would seek out the most passive-aggressive, bitchy, entitled Karen and just wait with barely-concealed anticipation for her to say something super awful so Anna can just nail her in the face right in front of all the other moms Hiccup and their kids, meanwhile, can’t help but be awed at their wife/mother’s impressive Right Hook 56. Who reads buzzfeed? Anna. Hiccup keeps being like “you know half the stuff on there is total bullshit, right?” and Anna just shrugs like “who cares? It’s entertaining!” 57. Who is the hopeless romantic? Anna, good god, ANNA. After the whole Hans debacle I imagine she’s a bit more subdued about so openly showing this part of her personality, but at heart she just can’t stop being a romantic. Once Hiccup catches wind of this, he naturally makes a point of frequently surprising her with Grand Romantic Gestures and such, which makes Anna’s entire face go bright fuckin red as she cries out “NO STOP WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS YOU’RE TOO NICE” 58. Do either of them know how to do a handstand? Nope! They’d both fall on their faces and it would be hilarious. 59. Who can rap better? I love the idea of them both being looped into a rap battle somehow and Anna just dreading it immensely because she figures they both really suck and then when it’s their turn Hiccup comes out and busts out the BEST, MOST SAVAGE RHYMES Anna has ever heard COMPLETELY ad lib and the poor girl just goes completely catatonic with shock for like 10 minutes. 60. Do either of them want to go sky diving? See initially I was gonna say Hiccup definitely would not because it would give the poor boy an anxiety attack, but then I remembered he basically skydives in canon??? And Anna strikes me as a bit of adrenaline junkie too, so fuck it--yeah, I think they’d both enjoy it. 61. What do they usually text about? They talk a lot about movies, games, books, and shows they both like, I imagine--Hiccup especially likes to overanalyze them to ridiculous extents and Anna thinks this is adorable. The rest of the time, they send each other dumb memes and talk about random animal fun facts. Anna likes to brag that her boyfriend knows more lizard trivia than anyone else on the planet, and how many lizard facts does YOUR boyfriend know? Probably little to none, you big loser. 62. Who is the dramatic one? Anna is INCREDIBLY dramatic. Although Hiccup certainly does have a “dramatic flair,” as he puts it, I still think Anna can out-dramatic him, at the end of the day XD Although perhaps admittedly not by much. 63. Is either one confrontational? Anna certainly can be. She’s usually pretty friendly, but if she ever feels like she’s being challenged, demeaned, mocked, or generally not taken seriously, she’s ready to go to WAR. She certainly not as soft as she might look! I imagine there’s situations where someone is being a dick to either Anna or someone else and Hiccup has to physically hold her back to keep her from just decking them XD 64. What is their favourite cuddle position? Probably just good old-fashioned spooning. Hiccup actually really loves being the little spoon (because Anna just makes him feel so damn safe), but he is loathe to admit it. They also have one I like to call the “Needy Cat,” where Anna just goes and completely drapes herself over Hiccup when he’s sitting on the couch. He’s usually in the middle of doing something else, and is forced to find ways to play video games/read his book/watch his show around Anna XD 65. Who are their favourite musical artist(s)? Hiccup has exactly 3 music moods--pretentious classical stuff (to listen to while working on inventions), obscure underground 90s hipster bands no one’s heard of (to play air guitar to when no one else is home), and some more well-known emo/alt rock stuff (to sing along to in the car dramatically). I can see him liking Panic! at the Disco, The Killers, Fall Out Boy, Linkin Park, that kinda stuff. Do either of them have secrets even the other doesn’t know? Kind of depends on when in both their timelines they meet. If they meet in the middle of HTTYD 1 or Frozen 1, they probably wouldn’t tell the other right away that they have a dragon and an ice-powered supersister, respectively XD I definitely think they would as they came to trust each other, though. Also I read a headcanon that Hiccup has burn scars from the Red Death incident where he lost his leg, and that’s why he wears so much armor and generally long sleeves--and I kind of love that. So maybe Hiccup would be cagey with Anna about how he lost his leg and that whole incident for a while before he finally opens up to her about it. Other than that I feel like they’d be pretty honest with one another, other than maybe trying to hide the more embarrassing parts of themselves to impress the other person XD 70. Who is their go to couple for a double date? Jackunzel, obviously! They’d probably all go to an arcade or an amusement park or something else pretty fun and high-energy. 71. I imagine Anna tends to get more worked up and yelley and loud, while Hiccup doesn’t raise his voice much at all but can say some damn cutting things if he wants to. Since Anna probably gets angrier, I imagine she apologizes first, whether or not the fight was actually on her or not--it’s just kinda this girl’s default to apologize for everything XD She’d probably say sorry for yelling and probably overreacting, while Hiccup would also be EXTREMELY apologetic if he realized he crossed a line with one of his jabs at her. I imagine a lot of what they fight about is Anna doing some impulsive Dumb Shit^TM and Hiccup just being like “oh god DAMMIT that’s DANGEROUS you can’t just go WORRYING me like that!!!” and Anna getting offended because she kinda views this as him being a little overprotective and not trusting her to make her own decisions. Ironically, Anna occasionally also gets mad at HICCUP for doing Impulsive Dumb Shit, so he’s not always nearly as much the Voice of Reason as he thinks XD Hiccup also sometimes gets mad at Anna for not taking better care of herself (take it from a fellow ADHDer--we tend to Wallow in Despair sometimes, or straight-up forget to do basic care things like eat lunch XD)--I have an IRL friend who reminds me a lot of Hiccup and he’s ALWAYS getting on my case about not eating enough, not drinking enough water, constantly berating myself, stuff like that. In literally every AU possible I like to think that Hiccup brings home some variation of illegal pet XD I mean, it’s probably just a dragon (”just a dragon” is never a string of words I imagined myself using in that order like what do you mean JUST a dragon lmao) in a standard crossover timeline, which he basically does in canon, but I do love the idea of a modern AU Hiccup showing up to their apartment with some kind of weird exotic monitor lizard from Bali and being like “I found him in an alley, he’s gonna live with us now” and Anna is like “D: Is someone gonna arrest you???” And Hiccup is like “Nah, no cops followed me home” and Anna’s like “Okay!!! :D” and then goes to PetSmart to buy a big fluffy bed for her new scaled friend XD 74. What side of the bed do each of them sleep on? I honestly don’t think either would care much, and they usually sleep in a tangled-up mess anyways so by morning you can’t really tell who started on which side XD 75. What is their favorite photo of them two together? One from before they got together: I’m just imagining a big group photo with the Entire Squad (Rapunzel, Jack, Merida, Moana, etc.), and Anna has her arms laced around Hiccup’s neck and her chin on his shoulder and a GIANT smirk on her face. Meanwhile Hiccup is laughing and trying to push her off, but his cheeks are BRIGHT fucking red and he’s trying really unsuccessfully to hide it because he’s a pale boi. As of the Modern AU Hiccanna one-shot I wrote ages ago, Revenge of the Ancient Dragon Masters! XD If we’re talking movies that actually exist, I imagine it would be a Marvel movie, a Star Wars movie, or some super-fancy-CGI high fantasy epic. 79. What do they like to see each other in? You mean like...which of the other’s outfits would they find the sexiest??? Aight, I’ll take a stab at this. Anna gets literally SO fuckin thirsty every time Hiccup wears his dragon rider outfit (the one from HTTYD 2), like it shows off his cute skinny body in the most perfect possible way whilst making him look like a badass and oh how Anna DREAMS of feeling him up in that! (One day, she finally gets to! XD) She’s also very into the scale armor from HTTYD 3 when she’s in...a very different kind of mood XD As for Hiccup, his favorite outfits of Anna’s are probably her coronation dress and her queen dress, mainly because he loves how she looks in green. He also really likes her travel outfit from Frozen 2, mainly because it’s sexy AND practical and damn, he’s gotta admit, that’s a nice shade of purple and she absolutely SLAYS in it XD 80. Who makes jokes during inappropriate times? Honestly both of them??? Like neither are great at picking up social cues, and Anna canonically DOES do this in Frozen! (Remember her comment about ice-selling being “a rough business to be in right now”???) I can see both of them attempting to lighten a tense mood by making an ill-timed joke, hoping to make things less uncomfortable, and they end up making everything MORE uncomfortable XD Honestly sue me, I love the idea of these two idiots bonding over how terrible they are with social cues in general 81. At what age do they discuss the possibility of children? I imagine not til like...their early 30s, if ever. Like I mentioned in the first part of the questionaire, I actually am not sure if they would even want to have kids at all, but if they DID decide to, it definitely wouldn’t be until they’re older and have settled down a bit, and have (somewhat) gotten both of their lives together. 82. What do they love about each other the most? Hiccup loves Anna’s energy and optimism, and how she’ll basically cheer him on and believe in him with all her being no matter how high the odds are stacked against him. And oh boy does he LOVE how hard she can kick ass when push comes to shove, and how goddamn overprotective she is of him. The sword skills and the general willingness to punch problematic people in the face are definitely up there as well. She’s like the perfect blend of fun and badass, and there’s never a dull moment with her for him. Anna adores Hiccup’s connection with animals and general animal skills, especially with the more less-loved and “scary” of the world’s creatures (i.e. dragons lol). She also loves and admires the shit out of his intelligence and inventiveness, and wishes she could make contraptions half as cool as what he turns out. And, of course, she loves that he’s a pretty humble dude who's actually pretty insecure about his accomplishments, and isn’t some cocky guy wanting to shove them in everyone’s face. And, of course, she loves his sarcasm and his dry sense of humor, and few people can make her laugh as hard as Hiccup can. Before she met him, she had no idea pessimism could be this entertaining XD 83. Who is the one that sees the big picture, while the other focus’s on the small details? Hiccup is very detail-oriented--he has to be, in order to make any of his contraptions work! Anna is very much focused on the big picture and gets stressed and exasperated trying to keep track of details--she figures she’ll either sort through the details as she goes, or Hiccup will help do it for her XD 84. What would they write on their partner’s social media’s for their anniversary? One of my IRL friends wrote “Happy anniversary bro, you’re pretty great” on his girlfriend’s instagram for their anniversary, and she wrote back “Happy anniversary, you’re a good buddy, I love you” and I just XD That’s the EXACT kind of weird dorky nonsense I can see Hiccup and Anna doing for their anniversary tbh 85. Who is bad at math? Anna, bless her soul, needs a calculator for literally EVERYTHING. Hiccup kinda trained himself to be decent at doing math in his head, since he often has to calculate measurements for his inventions and whatnot, but Anna is absolutely atrocious at it and generally would like overly-complicated numbers to not be anywhere near her. 86. Who googles everything? Probably Anna, mainly because she’s pretty forgetful and doesn’t trust her own memory half the time so she feels the need to verify everything on the internet XD 87. Who does stuff on impulse? Anna 100% canonically does, although Hiccup has some shades of this too more than he would ever admit, in fact, for someone claiming to be the Voice of Reason 88. How do they comfort each other when they are helpless to do anything about the situation? Hiccup’s approach is probably just to try and distract Anna and take her mind off of it, which he’ll do by either trying to make her laugh, telling her a story, or explaining one of his inventions to her (which she never gets bored with btw, because everything that boy gushes about is fascinating to her <3). Basically he figures if he entertains her enough, it’ll take her mind off of whatever is freaking her out and she won’t fixate on it as much. Anna’s approach is more to accentuate the positives in a bad situation (although like I mentioned in Part 1, not really in a condescending “count your blessings, it could be worse!” kind of way, but more in a “I hope he’ll feel better if he focuses on happy things” kind of way, if that makes any sense?) and also focus on when Hiccup DID do great and utterly kick ass and tell him he’s always better than he thinks he is. 89. What is an inside joke they have? If anything, him calling her “Tiger” as a pet name (which I think I mentioned briefly in Part 1??? I feel like Anna especially would get REALLY into Christmas/Yule, mainly because of how much Elsa can spice it up with her powers. And judging by the OFA short, Arendelle gets very hyped for the holidays in general, so it’s probably hard NOT to have a good time. Anna probably also like Mayday a lot because the dancing, the spring cheeriness, and the flower-related festivities are definitely to her taste. I kinda feel like Hiccup moreso though, if his little comedy routine imitating his dad in HTTYD2 is anything to go off of. He definitely wouldn’t be averse to making an idiot of himself to amuse Anna, especially since she’s so damn cute when she laughs. Anna, for her part, loves returning the favor, and is all about trying to do all sorts of Goofy Antics to amuse her boyfriend. And she’s overdramatic af, so she gets WAY too into it XD

Izuru kamukura (for the meme thung)

How I feel about this character:

VERY good. I expressed this in some of the ship meme side of things, but the fact that you can do just like.. so many things with him? Very sexy. There’s also just something really interesting about a character disconnected from it all, as well as one that’s been described as a Deus ex machina by the author, while still a character I can see as having a lot of very raw and human things about them. He’s a character thats inhumanly overpowered, but is nerfed by his lack of emotions. Thats sick as hell. There’s so much you can DO with that.

All the people I ship romantically with this character:

I am once again insisting as I go into this that just because I mark something as a ship does not mean I think it’s entirely healthy, just that theres a story between the two characters that could come with them getting involved with one another.

Komaeda and Matsuda go without saying. I think some interesting things can be done with Junko/Kamukura, given their entire dynamic. I trust exactly one singular person in my life to do Kamukura/Nanami correctly. It is not a ship I go out of my way to find, save for this one person.

... I might, on occasion, indulge in Hinata/Kamukura. But also, I think self-cest, as a concept, is funny as hell. And also, I’m a homestuck. So this is not a foreign concept to me. This is also something I realized as I was typing this, literally in this moment and I’m actually kind of angry. It always comes back to homestuck. Shit. MotherFUCK. 

My non-romantic OTP for this character:

Just like with Hinata, I find myself fucking craving content for him to just.. interact with Kuzuryu. But like, on a manner that he pisses him off. I think this is heavily influenced by the fact that I read THIS FIC, which I HIGHLY recommend because I love it. No other reason. I just really love it.

That aside, I always thought him and Mukuro could have a really cool dynamic, as well as like.. Him and Mioda, incidentally speaking?? And then Tsumiki. I think him and Tsumiki could have a cool thing.

My unpopular opinion about this character:

Every opinion about this character is unpopular, look at his face.

Nah, uhhh. So like. He’s a dick. That sort of goes without saying, but I think a lot of people struggle to write for His Brand of dick, if that makes sense? I see a lot of fanfiction where he outright calls people stupid//useless//ect, and while it’s not something that will take me out of it entirely, I think his brand of asshole is more. Giving you a read about a personal flaw you have, then digging into it because “Why? I’m just being honest.” 

He doesn’t strike me as an outright insult kinda guy. He’s going to go the round about way to call you a dick. It will sound pretentious as hell. He is completely unaware of this.

Like I said. Not like.. a deal breaker when it pops up, because everyone interprets him different. But thats just the vibe I get from his UTD plan, and chapter 0.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

I kinda wish he’d appeared more in canon, but I understand why he didn’t. There was like, one scene in UDG at the end of it. You don’t even see his face, but he arrived on the scene and it hit! It hit bro. It’s this inherent idea that he isn’t around often, so when he does come around you fucking know something is up.

But also, I do wish we had more canon content about him. Might have swayed more people into stanning him.

One of the things I liked about dr3 like, a lot, is that I just got.. So much Kamukura content from it. Like, look at his hair. Look at him go.

a headcanon fact:

It’s.. admittedly not something I talk about a lot, but I think a lot of how I write Kamukura would place him on the autistic spectrum. From the Low Emotional Empathy, to the disconnect from people, to the overstimulation and hypersensitivity to light and sound. It all sort of clicks together, and I think feels pretty right for him.

Remus loved me when I thought I was unlovable, he wanted me when I was proven imperfect, he fought for me even when others tried to take me from him. And he waited for me...when it would have been so easy to move on,” she said softly. 

     “But...it wasn’t easy to move on, that was the problem. I married someone else because I had to, not because I wanted to. I would have gutted myself before I ever hurt Remus. And even after all this time, that’s still true. Remus is like...if sunshine were a person. He is warm summer days and well written old books. He’s bubble baths and chocolate ice cream,” she said, her smile brightening with her eyes. “Remus is laughter and starlight, he’s sea salt and passion fruit. He’s long nights in bed and lazy Sunday mornings on the sofa.      Remus and Narcissa as a ship started as a joke for us, a crack ship to have a laugh at. But then quickly within a few messages, of us being emotional assholes like we usually are, it quickly became an OTP. Out of two characters that we had never thought of being together before, we made something beautiful. We found two people that understood each other so well, that complemented each other and brought out the best in one another. This ship is one of my favorites that I have ever written in my 10 years of role-playing, it has my heart in a way that no other ship ever has. The way that you write Remus is so uncanny that I think he’s more canon than the canon Remus. No, scratch that, your Remus is the canon Remus. And on top of that, all of your characters are so absolutely fucking amazing. 

     You give your characters so much depth, you are so talented that none of them are similar to each other and they are their own person. Each character is unique and special, with their own hopes and fears and quirks and habits. And in the same breath of thinking, they all feel so real, so alive. And your writing is so amazing, my sweet friend. You are so talented, it blows my mind. You bring me to tears so quickly with your writing, your replies make my day, and staying up until 8 o’clock in the morning on the phone with you plotting new threads and crying over our ships is one of my favorite things in the world. You are one of my favorite things in the world. I can’t properly put into words how much you mean to me, how special you are. But it’s true. 

     You mean the entire world to me, and you’ve always been there for me when I needed you. No matter what was going on in either of our lives, you’ve always been there. Every day for the last year, you’ve been there for me. Since the first moment we met, you’ve been by my side. You’ve been there for me when I was crying and felt like my world was falling apart, you were there to ground me when I had panic attacks, you made me laugh when I felt like I couldn’t even smile. You allowed me to be there for you when you needed someone, to comfort you when you were scared, to trust me with the personal parts of your life, to trust me with your secrets. I don’t think that I could ever regret getting hurt at my last job, because if I hadn’t gotten hurt I never would’ve been put on restrictions and eventually put on medical leave. And if I hadn’t had the free time that came with being put on medical leave, I never would’ve come back to roleplay and I never would’ve met you. And I can’t really imagine a world where I didn’t know you. I can’t imagine a world where Remus and Narcissa never fell in love, where they never had their darling daughter and found home in a little cottage in the woods. I can’t imagine a world where James and Lily never found a happy future, a world where James became a good man and a good father. I can’t imagine a world without Peter finding redemption, without Sirius growing up into a man that Lily could be proud of, I can’t imagine a world where I never saw polyamorous ships everywhere I looked because of you. 

     I can’t imagine a world without you. I can’t imagine a world where I didn’t check Discord first thing in the morning because I know you’ve been spamming me while I’ve been sleeping. I can’t imagine a world where I don’t hear you laughing your ass off and end up laughing as well because you have the most infectious and amazing laugh I’ve ever heard in my entire life. I can’t imagine a world where me and you aren’t confusing the shit out of Duo all night long in our group chat. I can’t imagine a world where are you aren’t there. I’m crying my eyes out while I write this because I really am such an emotional asshole, but I’m your emotional asshole so I think you’re used to it by now. For a year we’ve been writing together and crying together, for a year we’ve been creating worlds in our heads together and we’ve been laughing together. For a year we’ve been there for each other and for a year I’ve been happier than I’ve been for a very long time. Because of my best friend.
