5. Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?*

What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?*

For ruining a pairing, I could honestly put many if not most hetero ships in RWBY in this category thanks to fandom bullshit, in particular ANY girl/Jaune ship outside of Arkos, and even that’s shaky for me (I have a special loathing for the Jaune/Harem crowd). Though one case I find particularly unfortunate is Ruby/Oscar, a ship that when if first started cropping up in Volume 4, I thought was kind of cute. But by now it’s gotten tied up in theories and headcanons and people clamoring about how it’s going to happen in-show, all while apparently missing some KEY aspects of Oscar’s character. Namely the fact that Oscar, much like Jaune, is a massive SUBVERSION of a main-character archetype, and not an actual main character.

Which means that it feels like every Ruby/Oscar take I see, at best sounds like it’s treating Oscar as some deuteragonist to Ruby at the expense of Penny or even Ruby’s own teammates, and at WORST sounds like it believes Oscar to somehow be the ‘real main character’ of the show.

I think Ruby and Oscar have a very interesting dynamic in the show itself, like how Ruby acts as a mentor to Oscar in the way that Ozpin failed to do for her. Unfortunately, it feels like much of the shipping for these two has completely missed the memo on any of it.

As for a fandom OTP that I just do NOT get, that’s actually rather difficult. As even for the ships I don’t like, I can generally still trace the ‘logic’ of it to the ‘source’ of the appeal for some people. Even if that source is something as simple as "I think it would be hot if these two fucked" or something as banal as “I want to fantasize about having sex with this pretty girl(s) and am too lazy to come up with my own OC to project onto, so I’ll just project onto this character I find ‘relatable’ and awkwardly crowbar into a generic self-insert mold” -gestures to the vast majority of Jaune/girl ships-

That being said, I have always been rather baffled that the Steven Universe fandom effectively mandala-effected itself into believing that Lapidot was ever anything more than a crackship that the creators threw in because they seemingly somehow ran out of ideas of what to do with Lapis.

Starrypoet/HornyBoys (Ricky x Noel): also not my cup of tea, but I really like the dynamic that they have, like they both use their imaginations to be someone else, there's potential, also hella gay /pos ( laughing my ass off because horny boys is a funny ship name, congrats on the bonus points for this)

Topcomment (Mischa x Ocean): pretty cool ship despite not me seeing much content for it, it's like good girl x bad boy, I'm sure there's people out there who really love it but for me? No, I don't like it. It's cool but just no.

SoundCloud/Candyrapper (Constance x Mischa): also pretty cute but I see them more as siblings than a couple

Rosenpotts/gingerspace/perfectspace (Ocean x Ricky)(idfk what you guys are called AUGH): also kinda no on this one, but I will respect your opinion if you want to ship it. They're more friendly that coupley in my eyes

Perfect angel (Ocean x Tammy): I do not see potential for it, ocean and Tammy definitely have a frenemies dynamic because of their belief systems

Perfect bride (Ocean x Talia): how??? Ocean is literally the one to say that Talia is fake, I mean, I will respect your opinion but just know I will stare at you like I will be studying you as part of my research project next year.

Perfect love (ocean x hank): no, hank is already dating her cousin in some canonical iterations

16. What are your writing strengths? Silly dialogue, short fics! That's...um...it.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? WRITING VOLUME. It's not that I can't do it, it's that I don't ever prioritize my writing enough to find the time. In terms of actually putting words on the page...description is hard. Plot is hard.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? Honestly, I'm just insane and "what the hell, it's a hobby not a job" enough to Google Translate something if I really need to have some dialogue in another language. Obviously I'd put a disclaimer that I have no idea if it's correct. I like making fun of the "everyone speaks English" TV trope though, so I'm far more likely to just have the aliens randomly speak English XD

19. First fandom you wrote for? The first thing I published was for Stargate. The first stuff I wrote before I knew what fanfiction was? God, probably...actually I have no clue? percy jackson? chronicles of narnia? who knows.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written? I am choosing to be an optimist today: I don't think it's been written yet!! I do, however, have a special fondness for Chapter 3 of Letters to Archie for, yes, its pettiness and fluffiness, and also for in for a penny, in for a pound because it's fun!

fluff,  angst,  or  smut: Comes and goes in cycles. What I really like is charged not-quite-smut that's saturated in powerful feelings, or fluff with an undertone of delicious angst. This is why @friends-of-beetlejuice and @gwenynen-bach are my faves. We vibe.

plots  or  memes: Memes for getting to know you and your characters. It takes me a while to warm up to plotting with people (trust issues out the ouiseaux, me).

long  or  short  replies: Somewhere between? I don't really click with long single-sentence dash-cluttering threads, I want room to go a bit longer, but I don't like to overwrite either. Comparatively long but focused on dialogue.

best  time  to  write: I am graced with morning insomnia so most of my RP posting gets done early in the morning, UK time.

Sorcha is gender goals, the girl I wanted to be and be with at the best time of my life, forever nineteen - yes, I've seen The World's End multiple times, what of it? Luciana is a vessel for my thoughts and feelings on disability and sex and history, an attempt to correct some unlovely thinking. Orpheus is SO MUCH of my childhood trauma in a big leather jacket, it actually makes him quite upsetting to play when he's going through it 'cause we get into a feedback loop. Penny is... OK, I have a nasty elitist streak, but she's also a true believer who doesn't truly believe, and I put a lot of my frustrated scholarship into her. But - apart from Orpheus - I don't think I'm too much like them.

Abigail from Stardew Valley? :0 This game?

Ah, Abigail, the purple-haired resident goth girl of Pelican Town. Honestly pretty chill compared to some of the other npcs when you first meet her, casually admits to trespassing on your first meeting lol. We're kinda similar now that I think about it, we both like video games and swords and we both play the flute. Her four-heart cutscene is one of my favorites in the game, and I learned how to play the song A Stillness in the Rain bc I love it so much lol. The only thing I don't really vibe with is her obsession with spirits and stuff because of reasons, though I thought it was hilarious that the spirit board outs her about her feelings towards the farmer.

Romantic otp: honestly I headcanon her as aroace but I don't mind the basically canon ship of her and Sebastian, both romantically and platonically.

Non-romantic otp: the trio of her with Sebastian and Sam basically growing up together. She thinks Vincent is absolutely adorable despite Sam's protests (as siblings and their friends tend to be). I also want her to be friends with Penny and Maru idk what they'd bond over but yeah.

Unpopular opinion: uhhhhh honestly idk what the fandom thinks of her but I guess it would be the not vibing with the occult stuff

What I wish would happen in canon: DOES SHE EVER FIND OUT THE WIZARD IS HER REAL DAD?!?!? Caroline needs to fess up Abigail deserves to know. We need a group 10-heart event between the Wizard, Caroline and Abigail where the whole shebang is revealed. I also want her to join the adventurer's guild after her 10-heart event, like at least show up there from time to time. And I think she'd be besties with Krobus and the dwarf.

10. It's interesting. My favorite ship is based on how I write the characters in my series, drabbles, and so on... so that answer changes quite a bit. As always, my main otp's are Nischa, Perfectdolls, Sugardolls, and Spacedolls- but in my Warehouse AU, It's appearing in the form of Nischa, Blackrose, and Spacedolls (tentatively. It's still really early on for any other ship except Nischa). I have been on a Sugardolls kick recently, so hmm...

18. So, for Constance, I have quite a few headcanons. One appeared in my Dollmaker AU, with the fact that Constance is a family name (She shares it with a great-grandmother or two). She's also relatively strong, which means that boob punch to Ocean probably hurt, and one of the best bakers in her family (besides her father). Her favorite color is pink (something I took from the lighting design for Sugar Cloud). On top of that, I'd imagine that she's probably afraid of rats (there was one that snuck into the café one time and in her curiosity, she got close enough for it to nip at her).

19. A lot of my theories stem from pre-existing ones, but I think my favorite is that Karnak is essentially Father Time. I mean, at face value, we can already see that he has some kind of magical ability (bringing one person back to life), and we know that he reads fortunes that predict people's death... but that still tells us nothing about he was able to bring the choir to him in a limbo state at the warehouse, but also how he was able to bring Penny back to life after her head was severed. (Admittedly, she kinda needs that.) But ALSO, we see her full life, from birth to death, and Karnak said that he'd bring someone back to life after the cyclone accident. After, to me, means hospitals but somehow surviving. It's a miracle. Except we see her whole life, and for someone who never read Penny's fortune, Karnak wouldn't seem the type to know much about her unless he just hit the rewind button.

1. What ship were you completely obsessed with when you were a teenager, but now you don't care about anymore? Ooh, easy one. Danny and Michelle from Guiding Light. Danny was in the mafia. Michelle killed his brother (when he assaulted her). Danny married her to keep her safe from the rest of his family. They were *chef's kiss*. Probably my first introduction to fandom. There were shipper vids, fics, fan edits. And I mean this was, like, 1998, so it's not like the internet was huge back then. And it's not so much that I don't care in that I haven't thought about them in years. I wonder if there are fics for them on AO3.

2. Which ship would you consider your first one? I'd say Han and Leia.

3. Your first fanfic was about which couple? Trip and T'Pol from Star Trek Enterprise. I do not acknowledge that final episode.

4. Do you remember the first couple you saw fanart of? That depends on how we're defining "fanart". Danny/Michelle had a lot of manips and screencap edits, but the first, like, original art I remember seeing was probably for Ron/Hermione.

5. Have you ever gotten into ship discourse? Dude, I ship Sterek AND Sheith, ship discourse just finds you. But actually the worst for me was when I was in the CSI: NY fandom. People legit hated me there. I got doxxed on LJ. That's one of the main reasons I'm a fairly passive consumer of fandom nowadays. I don't have the energy to deal with that shit.

6. Did you use to have any NOTP or have one currently? Oh I have SO MANY NOTPs. I have a lot of filtered tags on Tumblr. Some of them are ships that squick me out, some of them have annoying or abusive fandoms and that turned me off the ship, and some of them are just I don't like them and don't want to see them.

7. Who were the couple in the last fanfic you read? I was simultaneously reading a SeanWhite (Not Me) and a WangXian (The Untamed) fic.

8. Currently, do you have any OTPs? I mean... Yes?? Have you seen my blog?? SeanWhite and WangXian are the big ones right now but I have so many.

9. Is there any couple that, to this day, you are extremely mad about not getting together? Sterek (Stiles/Derek, Teen Wolf) and Sheith (Shiro/Keith, Voltron Legendary Defender). Those fuckers were married, I don't care what garbage "canon" says.

10. Is there any ship you used to dislike but now you think they are kind of interesting? Not a specific one, but I used to dislike slash on principle because slash shippers treated me like shit when I was in CSI: NY fandom, so I sort of thought they were all like that, and now all of my ships are queer so there you go.

11. Do you have any ship that, in the past, would've been considered normal but now you would be cancelled over? I mean, I think if Sterek and Sheith had been 20 years ago, no one would give a shit, but now the purity patrol polices everything. People are still calling us abusers for those, and those shows ended 6+ years ago.

12. What is your favorite crack ship? I don't really have one, honestly. I have a limited amount of mental energy to spend, so I'd rather focus on my OTPs.

13. What is the couple you read the most fanfics about? Total, ever? I think Merthur, followed by Sterek.

14. What do most of your ships usually have in common? Grumpy is in love with sunshine, sunshine & sunshine protector, usually some variation of that dynamic.

15. What you absolutely hate in a ship? Understanding that this is personal preference and I am not casting judgment on what anyone else ships: ships when there is, like, absolutely no evidence that the two people involved have any romantic feelings for each other. I railed against Leonard and Penny on TBBT for so many years because I'm pretty sure they got them together because they "made the most sense" but in actual canon they were horrible for each other. I have no idea WHY I was supposed to want them together.

Waking Up

So, I saw this post by @cosmokyrin comparing Ruby and Penny to Salem and Ozma, and then started really thinking about it, and now this fic exists

Penny exhales when she feels the maiden powers depart. She doesn’t need to, but she wants to. It feels oddly nice to be free of their burden, though she is sorry that Winter must bear their weight now. Hopefully, she’ll be a better maiden than Penny was.

Looking around at the expanse of endless light around her, Penny concludes the afterlife is definitely not what she thought it would be. She had some inkling, given since becoming a maiden, she’s felt Fria’s and all the others before her’s presence in her. Penny honestly assumed, upon her death, that she would take such a role for Winter, reside in her head maybe.

It hadn’t been such a bad thought, in those last few moments, when everything hurt in ways she’d never experienced before. Penny had certainly faced damage numerous times before Cinder’s final strike. She just…human pain was a lot more physical. Her body screaming at her, except she can do nothing for it. No emergency diagnostics to run. No power to divert to or from the problem areas. Nothing. Even in the arena at the Vytal Tournament, she’d known that, as long as she retreated into her core, there was a chance she’d eventually be alright. This time, she had no core.

Human death, Penny decided, was very scary. The idea of being with Winter made it a little less scary.

Except, she doesn’t feel Winter. Like she’s in her presence. Or Fria or any of their other predecessors, for that matter. Penny is alone. There’s nothing. Well, nothing but light.

Penny looks down, wondering how she can be standing with nothing to stand on. Upon seeing her bare toes, she wiggles them. She giggles. She would have liked to have had human toes for longer. They seem very fun.

“You,” a voice speaks from somewhere, calm but quizzical, “are not supposed to be here.”

Penny jerks her head up. “Hello? Is someone there?”

There’s a sound, like echoing water droplets. The light gets bright, brighter. Penny squeezes her eyelids shut, but she can still feel its intensity. After a minute, it lessens and she dares open one eye.

Before her, stands a figure that seems masculine. The figure is tall and smooth, golden, but blurry around the edges, like she’s looking at them through the heat of a desert. Elegant antlers rise from their head. A Faunus? Is Penny’s first thought.

“You are…” the figure pause contemplatively “…unusual.”

“So are you,” Penny retorts, before she can help it. Both her hands fly to cover her mouth. “Sorry,” she mumbles. The figure seems like they belongs here more than she does. Even if their comment was slightly annoying, best not to insult them.

The figure chuckles, then falls silent. “What to do with you? There is no purpose in sending you back. You haven’t gone forward on your own. I could send you on, but…” they pause again, their nondescript face somehow displaying deep thought. “Where would you like to go?”

An answer immediately appears in Penny’s mind. She shakes it loose. It’s impossible. Ruby’s gone.

“I see,” the figure states as if her thoughts were spoken out loud. “Interesting. You are not the first whose wish is to be with the one they loved.” Another pause. This time, the figure’s gaze seems to be intensely studying her. “She is not the same as you remember. Do you still wish to go?”

“Yes,” Penny doesn’t hesitate in answering. She knows she should fulfill her duty as a maiden and go to Winter, but, if this is to be her afterlife, how selfish could it truly be to spend it how she wants? With who she wants to see again, even one last time, more than anything.

“Yes, I do.”

There’s a bright flash again.

Then, nothing.

It takes Penny quite some time to recognize herself as existing again, which is a very odd way of putting it, but she doesn’t know how else to put it. She simply wasn’t. Then, she was. Here, she is. Except, she also isn’t. She doesn’t feel ‘operational’ nor does she feel ‘alive’. She’s just cognizant of the fact she exists as an entity, and that entity has to be existing somewhere, because nothing can exist nowhere.

It takes a lot of time to figure out how to digest that thought and, only when she does, can Penny start trying to sort out the specifics of her new situation. Penny has no body, no limbs mechanical or organic. She doesn’t really have any senses—wait!

An image flashes before her. Something small. Glinting green. Familiar. Instinctively, she reaches for it.

A lot happens then, but it’s like Penny’s a potato being shook around in a sack while it’s happening so she doesn’t quite come to understand any of it.

When things settle, Penny sees again. A reflective surface. Deep green. One of her swords? Not Floating Array, but one of the ones she created with the maiden powers. How can it exist if she—

A tidal wave of grief that’s not her own drowns out Penny’s thoughts. It crashes against her. She struggles to keep her head above its surface until it, on its own, slowly subsides. The weight of it remains, sinking into her, threatening to pull her down. Penny doesn’t let it, refuses to let it.

She knows where she is now. She doesn’t know how, but she feels it. When the emotion slammed her, Penny recognized who it belongs to.

Ruby’s all-encompassing pain eclipses Penny’s relief that her friend is somehow, miraculously, still alive. It hurts. Penny wants to reach out, to vanquish the storm of anguish, but she has no idea where to even start.

She’s never had to communicate with someone from inside their own head before.

10: Costumes for Hannix and the Bradshaws

Specifically a costume contest or couples costume if possible!

“I’ll admit that you did good, Bradshaws, but Phoenix and I still have this one in the bag,” Hangman smirked, nudging Bradley good-naturedly and throwing a teasing wink your way.

Phoenix rolled her eyes, and you simply grinned in response, sipping on your cocktail and shrugging in a “Who can say?” sort of way.

“Cocky as always, Seresin. I wouldn’t be quite sure of anything just yet,” Bradley chuckled, wrapping an arm around your waist and resting a warm palm against your hip.

This costume party had certainly brought out the guys’ competitive streak. Penny had thought it would be fun to host a big Halloween party at The Hard Deck, complete with a DJ, games, cocktail specials, and a costume contest. The winner (or winners in the case of a couples costume) would take home a $500 credit at the bar, so everyone had gone all out in planning their costumes.

You and Bradley had decided to go as Evelyn and Rick from one of your favorite movies, The Mummy. You knew you were biased, but you had to say that your husband cut quite a dashing figure as a 1930s action hero. And Bradley had certainly been very happy when he’d first seen you in the silky black nightgown that mimicked Evy’s final outfit in the film.

Hangman and Phoenix, after much arguing back and forth, had settled on Bonnie and Clyde for their costume. They were definitely channeling Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway in their sleek, sexy costumes, looking every inch the infamous outlaws.

Phoenix had had to deter Hangman from trying to sneak off for a little private time several times throughout the night—“I thought you wanted to win the costume contest. We have to actually be seen in our costumes, Bagman,” Phoenix smirked, swatting her boyfriend’s hands away from the strategic slit in her skirt.

After a few hours of dancing, drinking, eating, and playing games, Penny finally got on the mic to announce the winner of the costume contest. Everyone quieted down, eagerly hoping to hear their names called.

“Don’t worry, guys, Phoenix and I will buy you a couple rounds with our bar credit,” Hangman whispered with a smirk, pulling his toothpick out of his mouth. He let out a soft grunt when Phoenix elbowed him in the stomach.

In the end, it wasn’t you and Bradley who won the contest, though you did get an honorable mention. It wasn’t Hangman and Phoenix either, though their costumes also got a shout-out.

“I think this was fixed,” Hangman grumbled when the winner was announced.

“Oh, shut up,” Phoenix laughed, letting out a loud whoop as the rest of you cheered for Bob, who was blushing as Penny waved him up to accept his prize.

“Go, Bob!” you cried, clapping loudly as your shy friend passed by, grinning sheepishly.

Bob had knocked it out of the park with his costume—Russell from Up, complete with balloons and everything.

“Don’t sweat it, Hangman,” Bradley grinned, slapping him on the shoulder. “There’s always next year!”

20 questions for fic writers!

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 98! (The same formatting thing happened to me too lmao) I can't believe it's almost 100. It's especially fun because it's Yuletide season and the fic authors won't get revealed until January. Which means it will probably be impossible to tell exactly which one counts as my 100th fic and somehow I like that.

2. What's your total AO3 word count? For a second I thought I would have to add it up manually. Phew. It's 457,682.

3. What fandoms do you write for? The Fetch Phillips Archives, The Dresden Files, and the Lord John Series (Outlander). Sometimes a fic here and there for other fandoms.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos? the hero's prize, A bed and a penny, whatever this may be, over the edge and out of sight, Love your enemy The popularity of a fandom or a ship + the age of the fic will always have a bigger impact on your statistics than the quality of your writing. Don't swear it too much.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not? Yes, almost always. I found many friends this way.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Probably "so cold". A short ficlet but it hurt lol

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?  I usually write happy endings so I can't choose ^^"

8. Do you get hate on fics? Luckily I wouldn't say I do. I've gotten some annoying grammar corrections, and deliberate misunderstandings about a ship, but nothing I would call outright hate in the comments. Oh, and there was that one guy who got their panties in a twist because I've written a male character as a witch. That was fun.

The silver lining in writing for small fandoms, rarepairs, and niche topics is that you don't get many eyes on you so you just statistically catch fewer dumbasses. But if you are getting hate, just remember: don't feed the troll. Eat the troll ;)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yes, I write all kinds of smut. Usually, my kind of smut is: - There is extensive set-up. I like to set the mood first, so unless it's a very short fic, there isn't any smut in the first 30% I would say. Even if I consider it a PWP there is usually some kind of set-up. - There are usually feelings involved. I like to focus on that, even if it's just a hook-up. - It's usually kinky. Not always, but I do write a lot of ships with inherent power dynamics or morally grey characters. And I'm happy to go all out there with the kinkyness lol

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? No. It's not my thing. But never say never because I actually have one idea for a fun little crossover...

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I know of.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? OMG yes! Three of my ficlets from the Harry/Nic OTP challenge got translated to Russian and I'm so honored <3

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?  No... that idea gives me anxiety....

14. What's your all-time favorite ship? I can't answer this either. There are just too many ships that are too close to my heart. Especially since there are several rarepairs where I published either the first or most of the fics on AO3 for that ship... I simply can't choose.

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I have one unfinished WIP on AO3, "over the edge and out of sight" which I know I will never continue (but I don't even want to so I don't think it counts as an answer). After that, I've stopped putting WIPs on AO3 in general ^^" From my WIP folder, there are several that I would love to finish, but I don't think I will: - I started a translation of my super old BJR/OC (Outlander) fic but I had a really hard time getting over the embarrassment of reading my old fic - I have a few snippets of a continuation for the J/J/J series (Outlander) and it would be very fun but I'm not sure if I'll ever be in the mood to finish it - I also started a modern Enjou/Aether fic (Genshin Impact) that would be super cute but it's probably too much work compared to my investment in that fandom

16. What are your writing strengths? POV. I think I'm good at showing the POV character's personality. And I sink my teeth into that deep POV and don't let go. You won't catch me slipping into a different POV in the next paragraph, and I'm sort of proud of that.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Plot? lmao It's complicated for me. I can't come up with an intricate plot before I start writing. I need to start writing and then halfway through move the puzzle pieces around. It's difficult for me to wrap my head around it. I also think that sometimes I get so focused on setting something up that I don't realize that the reader might think I'm setting something else up if that makes sense. That's definitely an area I could improve on.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic? I don't like it. I'm fluent in 3 languages and I've written fic in 2. But I don't like writing or reading dialogue in another language in a fic because I think it disrupts the flow of reading. For me, it's less about the fear of making a mistake in a language that isn't my native tongue (because this one isn't, for example, lol) and it's more about worrying that it won't be enjoyable for someone who doesn't speak that language. Even if you provide translations it's just a lot of effort to scroll back and forth.

A word here and there is fine for me, or if you can cleverly convey language barriers by adding a few sentences. But otherwise, I would just rather write what language they are supposed to be speaking in.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Uh I think HP, back in high school. But that just shows my age lol

20. Favorite fic you've ever written? That is so difficult to answer. It's either "put my heart in your pocket" or "moral compass for hire".

My NOTP: Zutara, Azula x Zuko. The former for the fact that the fandom shipped them even when Zuko and Katara were enemies. The latter for the fact that it's incest.

My BRTOP: Either Zuko and Aang or Zuko and Sokka. They play off each other well.

My OTP: Welp. I'm a Maiko (Mai x Zuko) already. So, the canon for me. Yus.

My second choice pairing: Hm. For Zuko? I haven't given it much thought, but I guess that girl Iroh tried setting him up with in the Tales of Ba Sing Se. That or Toph.

My Fluffy pairing: Zuko and Ty Lee. Don't ask me why, I have no idea.

My angsty pairing: Oof. Hm. Who would make for good angst...? Jet and Zuko, I guess? Both people hurt deep by the Fire Nation.

Favorite Poly ship: Zuko, Aang, Toph, and Sokka. The gang getting in trouble together. That or Zuko, Mai and Ty Lee. Because again, trouble would be gotten up to a lot.

Weirdest Pairing: Zuko and his honor, Zuko and tea. Not entirely sure if any other Zuko pairing exists that's weird.

Well, a RWBY character. Hard to pick. I'll go with my current Team RWBY Favorite: The Ice Queen, Weiss Schnee~

My NOTP: Weiss and her family, Weiss and Adam, Weiss and Cardin. Weiss and any of the adults in general. I'd honestly also say Weiss and Jaune.

My BRTOP: Weiss and Jaune, ironically. I love that these two are now great friends. Teams RBY and JNPR likewise.

My OTP: WhiteRose. Hey, the Bees already dominate my mind since Volume 2 and Weiss and Ruby need something. Preferably each other if Rose Garden doesn't come to pass.

My second choice: Freezer Burn, followed by Schneekos. With Timefreezer coming in at a close third.

My fluffy pairing: For Weiss? Hm. WhiteRose is already fluff. But to get down to it, I suppose I'm partial to either Bat Schnee (Batman and Weiss from the JLA crossover, provided Bruce is still his younger self) or Schneekos, or Frosen Steel.

My angsty pairing: Oh boy. For Weiss? Snowflake in the Rough (Weiss and Emerald), Shneekos post V3, and any Penny ship post V3 and V8.

Poly Ship: Bees Schnees and Frosen Steel. Long suffering Weiss, my beloved.

Weirdest Pairing: Ones that I ship? That's an odd question. Hm. If BruWeiss doesn't count...hm. There's a crossover ship called Fire & Ice which is Weiss and Shoto Todoroki from MHA, but in RWBY...hm. Only one I can think of in RWBY that's weird that I'd ship is either Weisscream (Weiss and Neo), Neapolitan Shakes (Neo, Weiss, and Emerald), Newspaper (Weiss, Blake, and Ruby) or Winter Greenhouse (Weiss, Ruby, Blake, Nora, and Penny)

All of that being said, it depends upon on the writing of course. The NOTP's are all ones I won't ship no matter how good the writing is. So...yeah. Hope that works?
