i honestly don't know that i have a lot of super specific hopes for grissom and sara for the rest of the season aside from that they end the season happy and together, as they started it, and that they're able to prove that hodges is innocent, defend their life's work, and prevent all of those dangerous criminals from being set free.

in a more general way, i want to see as much adorable, married domesticity from them as possible, and i'd be lying if i claimed that i wouldn't pay some good money for them to kiss at least once or twice.

that said, i also understand that what with covid restrictions, the cast and crew may not have been able to film scenes that were that "up close and personal," and, if not, that's okay. safety first! wouldn't want anyone getting sick.

i guess that on an "outside the universe of the show" level, i hope grissom and sara continue to be written so that they seem like themselves and so that we get to see a lot of their relationship dynamics in play.

i'd love to learn a little bit more about what they've been up to these last six years, in terms of their work and the ins-and-outs of their everyday life at sea, though whether or not the show will actually give us those details remains to be seen.

so far, they've been playing pretty coy about that stuff, aside from a few general boat references.

like i said, the main thing is just that i want grissom and sara's "happy ending" from "immortality" to remain intact.

i'm fine with them facing adversity throughout the course of the season, but let them face it united and together as a couple.

as long as they come together rather than apart and things turn out generally okay in the end, i'll be pretty pleased overall.

as for other characters, i'd be happy to see anybody from the original team if they could swing it.

that said, i don't believe that marg was fully available to film at the time that this season was in production, so if catherine does show up, i'll be incredibly (albeit pleasantly) surprised.

i also think that it's unlikely that we'll see nick just because the relationship between george eads, cbs, and the csi franchise is reportedly pretty fraught at this point.

if anyone might make an appearance, i think it'd be greg—as, as far as i know, eric has both the availability and the working relationships in place to make a guest spot happen—but even then i'd be somewhat surprised (just because i feel like, so far, the network and production company have been pretty eager to advertise their returning stars, and we've not heard anything to indicate that he might be coming back to date).

of course, even if we don't see greg, i'm curious to know what he's up to at present—and i don't doubt for a minute that grissom and sara know, so at the very least i'd like to hear some kind of reference from them, even if it's a passing, "oh, he moved on from the lab to do x, y, or z" kind of thing.

anyway, sorry i can't be more specific here!

at this point, i'm an easy sell: just give me my otp decently-written, happily married, and sharing lots of screen time, and i'm good to go. if they get to solve some crimes on top of all of that, all the better.

i could honestly watch them make grilled cheese sandwiches together and be over-the-moon about it!

Dominic Copeland

- Why I like them: While he's not always a very good person, he's an interesting character to watch, I think. I love his complexity, and how you can really see why he makes the decisions he does, even if you can't always agree with them. (The one exception being the whole "revenge" storyline earlier this year - him being angry and lashing out at people made sense, but the writing for every character was so inconsistent at that point that his exact actions and who he was angry at seemed to change with no reasonable explanation or context for it. But again, the writing was bad for everyone then - Dom didn't even get the worst of that bad writing, lol, Sahira did.)

- Why I don't: He can be a manipulative little bastard at times.

- Favourite episode: Can't really think of one, there have been a number of good Dom episodes. S17E50 'At First I Was Afraid' has got to be up there though!

- Favourite season: Series 19, probably, for first the Isaac storyline (which was heartbreaking, but very well-done) and then his slow-burn romance with Lofty. Even if it was the series during which he started sporting that terrible mustache. 😂

- Favourite line: "Are you kidding? Even the coma patients know I'm gay!" (Don't remember the episode number or title, but we all have to admit this line is iconic.)

- Favourite outfit: I am really starting to realise how little attention I pay to the Holbyverse men's outfits compared to the women's (Henrik is an exception, I probably pay too much attention to Henrik's outfits lmao) - I don't think I've ever paid close enough attention to any of Dom's outfits for long enough to really consider which one would be my favourite.

- OTP: This is where I have to make an embarrassing admission: part of me is still not over Dofty. I know they completely ruined the relationship and made Lofty an abusive cheater for no reason later on, but their relationship was very sweet at the start, so that's the part I miss.

- BroTP: Same answer as I gave for Zosia: the Dom/Arthur/Zosia friendship. But I also really love Dom's dynamics with Sacha and with Henrik. (If I had a nickel for every depressed Jewish man to take on a surrogate dad role to Dominic Copeland, I'd have two nickels - which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice... 😂)

- Headcanon: Hmm. Now that you mention it, I'm not sure if I have any Dom headcanons.

- Unpopular opinion: Can't think of any. Uh, I guess I don't want him and Jeongsoo to get together until he actually apologises to Jeongsoo for plagarising from him. Once he says sorry, sure! But not until then.

- A wish: I dunno. I guess I just want him to have a happy ending and a loving boyfriend.

- An oh-god-please-don't-ever-happen: I'd say things like "getting him back with Lofty" or "bringing Isaac back to torment Dom again", but thankfully I don't think either of those are likely to happen.

"Killing off Carole just to make Dom suffer even more" WOULD have been on the list but it is, unfortunately, happening.

- 5 words to best describe them: Okay, I'm back to being stumped by these, haha. I have to really know a character to be able to think of words to describe them.

- My nickname for them: Technically Dom is a nickname lol. But no, I don't have anything original I call him.
