Here's my Rook, Ronan (Vysoren ^_-) Aldwir, Dwarven Veil Jumper XD (they/them)

As with all my current worldstate characters, they're all previous OCs from other creations of mine (usually comics) so building them off of art I've drawn is always an experience.

There're of a couple of face bones I'd like to tweak to go rounder, but otherwise, I love love LOVE how solid I was able to make them LOOKIT MY BEB

After much agonizing & working out MY crushes vs Ronan's type, I think we're going with Bellara, which should be fun ^__^ Elaine will be wistfully crushing on Taash, but Ronan fits the best with Bellara. (Neve is too perfect for either of us, we're batting WAYYY outta our league with her, and Harding is dating Josie in the head canon of my worldstate XD)

When AI is so prevalent everywhere nowadays that even Death starts to invest in cheap grim reaper robots /j (that keep eventually gaining sentience and becoming spiteful and lost spirits but shhhh, that's too much lore)

Inspired by the Korean folk lore of Death: 저승사자- a psychopomp deity who's job is not to judge or kill, but to simply guide newly deceased souls to the afterlife. They are traditionally depicted wearing a black (한복) hanbok with a black (갓) gat.

1. I AM A CAT DAD TOMMY TRUTHER

so obviously he has one in the future but I'm imaging a much smaller, younger Tommy who would sneak out and feed the stray cat in his yard

who coaxed the cat to trusting him and who found the cat a home when his father wouldn't allow it

for a little while he had something soft in his life who loved him just for him

2. Tommy is the kind of guy who is aware that he's a big guy you know? he helps people get things off of the top shelf in grocery stores and volunteers to help pick up heavy things - he's the friend who actually means it when he says he would help someone move

3. one time when Tommy was really low and was just so tired about hiding things, he came across a food tuck that had a pride flag pinned proudly to its's side - all of the food was puns and it was run by three college aged kids and the owner - Tommy sat outside on a picnic table near the truck for the longest time and when he finally ordered - something sweet, this man has a sweet tooth - it was met with a smile, something bright when things were hard, and he followed this truck on instagram and when he was finally out he would bring people to the truck and he is one of their best customers and the owner has a picture of Tommy with the truck on their socials and they make food up for him on the spot - and when he brings Buck there for a date they all know who he is "THE FAMOUS EVAN" and Tommy blushes so hard

4. Tommy's clothes are comfortable and practical, he has a few "good shirts" for the occasional dates but otherwise he just picks what fits - at some point he picked up a jacket from a thriftshop and didn't even know it was designer until someone pointed it out - when Buck buys him a soft cashemere sweater for the colder weather, Tommy wears it and kisses Buck softly and he starts adding a little more color in his wardrobe, but he never feels pressure to, he just likes Buck's smile when he wears them

5. Tommy "avoid lonlieness through various hobbies" Kinard has made candles, he's taken chocolate making classes, he rock climbs when he cans and has had several ball room lessons, at some point he even tried horse back riding, he's done a little bit of everything and later he shares these various hobbies with the family he finally finds

"Floor fucker" is a reference to his episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm in which Larry David fucked someone exclusively on the floor. So yes, it means to fuck on the floor. Bruce says, "I didn't make you out for a floor fucker," which he apparently improvised. He also added it to the band intro in a couple of recent shows in the US ("viagra-taking, floor-fucking..."). SO, based on all that, I'm going to say yes, he is.

208 years ago this week Keats published On First Looking into Chapman's Homer. Did you know the poem gave a name to a kind of deathbed vision called “A Peak in Darien”?

People who are dying or who have gone through near-death experiences (NDE’s) often report deathbed visions, in which they see apparitions of family members or friends who have passed on. A “Peak in Darien” experience refers specifically to seeing the apparition of someone who has died, but whose death is unknown to the experiencer. It describes gazing into the afterlife and inexplicably seeing someone that you believe to still be alive, only to find out later that the person has indeed died.

Sometimes, the news of this death is a surprise to everyone in the room with the dying person, and sometimes the news of the death is known, but has been kept from the dying person as a type of mercy.

*No news is not good news. The “Peak in Darien” might actually be an answer that your characters have been both hoping for and dreading. When a loved one goes missing, the pain of not knowing what happened is immense. Someone seeing this person in the afterlife could at least let everyone know that the missing person is dead.
