The La La is packed with Citra, Citra Cryo, Galaxy and Idaho 7 on a base of 2-row and flaked oats. 8% abv. . Nose is citrusy. Taste is fruity, with nite of grapefruit, candied orange, and lime. It’s hoppy, a bit sweet with a great creamy mouthfeel. Great collab. #Repost @pour_a_vida Happy National IPA Day! What are you drinking to celebrate?! I’m drinking Plates on Plates from @otherhalfnyc (Brooklyn, NY), an Imperial IPA coming in hot at 10%. Other Half used a whole mess of hops in this one including Citra, Mosaic, Cashmere, Galaxy, Motueka, Simcoe, and El Dorado. At 10% it goes down easy and there is only slight traces of booze. #Repost @pour_a_vida ・・・ Who puts out the most consistent IPAs in your area? For me, if I’m including NY I’d say it would have to be @otherhalfnyc but that’s probably not surprising. Vapor Ringz is no exception and is an incredible DIPA. This one is coming in at 8.4% and is an Imperial Oat Cream IPA with 2-row, wheat, and oats then hopped with Citra, Galaxy, and Nelson. I don’t need to tell you how creamy and amazing the mouthfeel is. This beer has all the normal tasting notes we love from the Citra and Galaxy hops but it finishes with that nice white grape flavor that I love from Nelson hops! I don’t pay much attention to untappd ratings but this deserves its 4.45 IMO! . . Don’t forget to show some support to small business during this time. A great small business is @beerthirtyapparel. #Repost @pour_a_vida ・・・ What are some of the collabs you’ve been wanting to try? This beer was one of them for me! Silhouette Daydream Double Brunch Crunchee Peach Granola is a collab between two powerhouse breweries, @otherhalfnyc and @hudsonvalleybrewery. There is a ton going on in this beer. This is an Imperial Sour IPA with peach, coconut, Vanilla, maple, cinnamon, almonds, and milk sugar. For me pineapple, vanilla, and peach dominant the aroma but it’s hard to differentiate with all the ingredients. The vanilla overpowered the palate for me but you do get much of the rest of the ingredients along with it. I have to know if I’m the only one that would rather have an IPA without vanilla. I love it in stouts but I don’t think it’s needed in any sort or IPA. This beer would have been outstanding IMO without vanilla and the lactose. Overall a nice solid and tasty brew. I won’t go out of the way to name them all but this one was @theveilbrewing version and @otherhalfnyc was a part of it. Omnipolloscope #5 was a delicious TIPA at 10%! Crazy crushable for its ABV, a ton of tropical fruits and citrus, and a great mouthfeel. I wasn’t looking to get this one but I received a gift package from @enigmacraftbeer!
