about to become absolutely distraught over cyrion tabris and make it everyones problem bc i thought about him for a minute too long and it is never properly acknowledged how much he goes through, especially if tabris makes the ultimate sacrifice like. all cyrion ever wanted was to keep his family afloat and live safely and quietly and without excitement in denerim, the only home he knows. and what does he get? he outlives all of the family members he loved so fiercely. the man has everything taken from him piece by piece and every single time those losses are ultimately put into motion by greedy humans and their violent structures of power. and cyrion tabris just has to stand in the rubble they create every... single... time.........

OC Tag Game!
Ooo thanks for tagging me @kittynomsdeplume & @cleverblackcat!! This took a while to get to but it was very fun!
Favorite OC: Evil question to start. I can't possibly choose unless I set some limits for myself so I'm going to cheat and say my most popular OC. I have the most art of her by no fault of my own. Velaneth Surana is my canon HoF and Warden Commander. Vela is a very open person: never lies, has no body shame, and loves to learn about other people and where they’ve come from. She walks into every hostile situation with her best foot forward trying to make friends and allies.
Newest OC: I’m slowly congealing my ideas about Orlagh Trevelyan because I’ve been imagining what the different cultures of the Freemarches look like - especially on the coast where trade is frequent. She’s from Ostwick of course and trained as a Templar as a youth but spent summers at a monastery with her aunt in Wycome which I imagine a bit like Morocco. I’ve been staring at my Pinterest boards imagining her lonely days growing up and what it means for her to leave her walls behind and be thrust into this new organization with all these people and their differing ideals. I'm particularly interested in exploring her being a templar but having some latent magic that has been tied up in her templar abilities so long she didn't realize it was ever there.
Oldest OC: In DA my oldest OC is Topaz Brosca from my original run of origins. The one where my save got deleted right before the Landsmeet lol rip. I've recently revisited her and I'm falling in love with her again. She's a hot trans girl and stabby rogue and she falls in love with the surface world immediately. My oldest OC ever though... might be a self insert hobbit character I made for myself as a child before I knew what fandom or fanfiction was lol! I think her name was Charlie? my memory is BAD but I know that's a name I loved as a kid.
Meanest OC: Szadrine Aeducan is my final origin from DAO to get an OC and I'm slowly growing deeply obsessed. She’s involved in (literal) cutthroat Orzammar politics and ends up skipping the warden bit after the whole betrayal and exile thing. She simply deserts at Ostagar. I think she should end up kicking ass in Orlais because she would be so good at the Game.
Softest OC: Bearnard Cousland is a soft, sweet, bookish baby-gay who would rather bury himself in his research in a library than seek glory or fight battles or do politics. Bearn is the second son so he’s gotten away with avoiding some of that but of course he has to attend his lessons and participate in the tourneys. His scholarly work lends him some political savvy since he’s intimately familiar with Ferelden’s history, but he’s most interested in lost texts and translating ancient works. He never had good gay role models growing up and thinks of himself as homely and forgettable, so he never felt like that was an option for him, but Maker does he ever pine lol!
Most Aloof/Standoffish OC: Gotta be Irene Amell. She's a real bitch with resting murder face. Incredibly unapproachable, intimidating Domme energy. Tends to default dislike people and keep to herself, prefering to slink around and eavesdrop than talk to people for info. She’s very protective and loving toward her close friends and lovers, but it’s hard to get close in the first place.
Dumbest OC: Myrna Hawke is a smart woman, she's an accomplished mage, enjoys reading, quick witted, but she has zero self-awareness and has a very hard time even understanding how she feels, much less how other people feel about her. She’s absolutely clueless and fully blindsided by anyone’s interest & gets tongue tied and stupid when she’s horny. She’s also very impulsive and acts before she thinks things through which leads to getting into a lot of dumb shit.
Smartest OC: There are excellent contenders here: Bearn with his book smarts and Topaz with her street smarts, but I want to say Ithadhea Mahariel because even though they are incredibly dense when it comes to interpersonal relations, their wealth of traditional knowledge from their clan is incredible. They are not really a people person, usually quiet and solitary, but they took to hunting like they were born for it and eagerly learned everything in the realm of woodcraft and survival. They know all their clan's stories by heart and and know resources by seasons in a way that is part of their internal clock. I think this kind of generational knowledge probably outstrips the scope of any of my other OC's knowledge.
OC I’d Be Friends With: Edric Cadash is so laid back and friendly I think he’d be one of the easiest to make friends with. I want to have tea and gossip with him and have that turn into late night drinking and telling stories by the fire. Vela would be an instant friend as well; she wants to befriend everyone and she'd have an easy time with me!
no pressure tagging some of my DA OC enjoying friends: @sinquisition, @highwayphantoms, @lets-get-brave, @sandalinbohemia, @dismalzelenka and anyone else who wants to share! Feel free to @ me so I can see your post! <3

sorry if you've gotten an ask like this before, but imagine your hawke and warden (any of your choice) got flipped, how do you think they would get along w the companions from the other game? and in general how would they do and feel in the position of the hof/champion, hypothetically?
i just love hearing about your characters ngl i really want to put them in situations
LOVE asks like this pls put my guys in situations
keir as the hero of ferelden... i guess not totally unreasonable, he did fight at ostagar, duncan could’ve picked him up (read: pried him away from his family with the right of conscription.) he’d get along with alistair well enough, though it might take him a minute to warm up to him for near-templar reasons. wouldn’t get along too well with leliana or wynne, and wynne would leave the party after he defiled the sacred ashes, leliana only staying via an intimidation check which is a thing you can do if she’s hardened iirc. fuck the chantry he’s gotta get them reaver powers. not much patience for oghren. would do well with sten, shale, zevran. would kill loghain, no doubt abt that. and honestly, i’ve said before that they maybe had a thing in lothering, keir would romance morrigan and do the dark ritual with her (suddenly just realised the hilarious implication that kieran’s name is loosely inspired by keir possibly in the normal worldstate as well). keir would be fairly bitter about the whole thing and abt the wardens, and his priority would still be finding his family and (if only by virtue of stopping the blight) keeping them safe. he would put alistair on the throne alone, not hardened
it’s harder to see how minerva would become the champion, but if she wasn’t the hero i guess she could end up as an apostate and maybe wind up in kirkwall fleeing the blight like everyone else. if she had the relationship hawke has w varric they’d get along like a house on fire, i’m trying to find a normal way to say she loves when people are obsessed with her AGHASJSKSKK. i cannot imagine her talking to sebastian. minerva and aveline in a room would not go well. she would rival fenris but like still a close important relationship but that means even more tension. friendship with anders but she wouldn’t distract the grand cleric for him even if she would support him in the end; she doesn’t act if she doesn’t know what’s going on and she doesn’t appreciate being asked to let alone what she sees as the attempted emotional blackmail. easily friends with isabela and definitely sleeps with her regardless of romance choice, that happens in dao anyway lmao. friends with merrill, would be such an interesting way to explore minerva’s growing confidence in blood magic. i’m honestly undecided on romance—isabela hits a lot of the same beats as zev’s and thus makes sense for her to go for, merrill would be incredible for her as dalish love interest for minerva makes me insane conceptually let alone a fellow blood mage, fenris would be kind of an unhinged choice for, you know, noted blood mage, but also it’s a different flavour on fen rivalmance because of the shared heritage and i know she’d be into him and like... the drama of it all... anyway minerva would love gaining power in kirkwall as the champion and would lean ambitious, maybe even try for viscount even if it was impossible because of who she is. and in the last straw would be mad at anders for going behind her back—significantly more mad than she is in the canon situation where she is generally highly supportive, actually, because she was right here anders we could have fucking talked abt this and planned ahead—but she’ll support him when it comes to it and she’d never let anyone lay a hand on him

update on my dragon age II playthrough that no one asked for and no one cares about ( SPOILERS AHEAD )
WARNING: a lot of random ranting and probably a thousand spelling and grammar mistakes..sorry
first and foremost that bitch fenris, who I still love regardless since I'm obsessed with fixing people, left my hawke (and therefore me) after they had swex the asshole
secondly, meril pissed me off. i mean if even the keeper doesn't want you to fix the bloody mirror, the leader of your people with the want to restore as much knowledge as possible, you should probably leave the bloody mirror alone. now we're rivals because I did the smart thing fjdndjendnt
THE FADE SERIOUSLY I hated it in dao and I hated it here WHYYYYYYYYYY would you do that bloody faynriel at least he's with the tevinters now hopefully that doesn't come back to bite me in the ass...
STOP WITH THE SPIDERS I LIVE IN AUSTRALIA I DEAL WITH ENOUGH SPIDERS ALREADY YOU ASSHOLES
also the dragons are really small??? like not even dragonlings just straight dragons are tiny what's up with that
our mother is dead wtfrick like are you trying to kill off every single remember of my family on purpose orrrr???? and she died as a zombie thing? seriously?? Haven't we been through enough??? luckily Bethany is still alive, although she's being a bitch to us even tho we saved her life the asshat
ALISTAIR IS BACK BBY OH MY GOSH I LOVE HIM I GOT SO EXCITEDDDD EEEEEE. in mine he's part of the grey wardens because I think he'd make a sucky king so...i saw him and it was everything OH MY GOSH. still looked a bit crusty even with mods BUT ILL TAKE IT
so a slight qunari issue am i right 😅 I tried to be on their side because honestly everyone was being mean to them when they're just trying to live their lives and still they end up killing everyone like waaaaatttt
AND BLODDY Isabela like SERIOUSLY GIRL I'm your friend. when you steal a historically and religiously important relic from a someone you bet your ass they're gonna wanna kill you for it. And then the bitch RAN albeit she did come back BUT STILL COME ON ASSHOLE
I killed the arishok...Yeah well I didn't want him to take isabela no matter how much of a selfish asshole she was so he's dead now...I have a feeling that's going to seriously bite me in the ass at some point
also someone help please, do I side with the mages or Templars what did you guys do??? cause I understand both sides and I think they're both right in some areas and incredibly flawed in others, particularly the Templars but idkkkkk also Meredith is a bit shifty I don't like her.. (im at the start of act 3 so no spoilers please! just interpretations if that's okay? although tbh I already know what happens since I played inquisition first then went back to the older games)
and LOL for a long part of the time, when I met orsino I was panicked thinking OH MY GOSH is Irving dead?? NO I LOVE IRVING I ALSO SAVED HIS ASS and then I remembered that this is like a completely different place LOL
I also absolutely adore varric like what a sweetheart! My Hawke and him are like the best of friends and honestly it's the cutest shiz ever
other than that I forgave fenris and I think we're a thing now?? idk. mostly because he's hot and also because you know he's like this sweet broken toy that I just wanna love and care for although HE MAKES THE WORSE REMARKS AT THE WORST TIME like read the bloody room fenris GOSH
lastly, ive just met zevran AKA the love of my wardens life in my dao playthrough and what the actual frick frack did they do to my baby I'm PISSED
anyway that was all, just really needed to get it out there since I know LITTERALLY NO ONE ELSE who plays this incredible game. Any thoughts I'd be really interested to hear. If I offended you because of my thoughts on a character, I apologise, i meant no harm this is just my opinion on them :)))

OK, so, @heniareth asked to hear more about my first Warden for DAO and it took me a bit to put all this together, but here we are :) Thank you so much for asking and giving me a chance to ramble about him :D The post is long, hence the cut and please be warned about the thorough lack of structure and order haha I am bad at ordering my thoughts properly. I hope it is still alright to read :)
I have exactly two screenshots of my warden Theron Mahariel and those are it (apparently my obsession with taking a f*ck ton of screen shots of like everything only truly developed with DAI) xD Second one is in the temple of sacred ashes and it was taken in an attempt to make a bad joke about how the battle was so grisly that everyone got blood splatter under their armor ha
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway xD Theron is Dalish and he spent his entire life safely with his clan until his best friend Tamlen and he stumbled across some ancient elven ruins in the forest and made a discovery followed by tragedy. Duncan was able to save Theron’s life, but not Tamlen and by the time they returned to the ruins to search for him, Tamlen’s body had disappeared. Not only that, the sickness that had befallen Theron was one that had only been delayed with Duncan’s help and had but one cure, the Joining. And so, to survive, Theron was forced to leave his clan, the only life he’d ever known, his home, his family, to follow Duncan to Ostagar where he would become a Gray Warden.
He’d been a hunter for his clan for a while before all that happened and therefor knew his way around a bow quite well, though he’d never fought anything more frightening than a bear in the wilds. His clan has tried its best to stay away from Shemlens and avoid confrontation, so Duncan was one of the first humans Theron had ever really gotten to talk to. He was suspicious at first, but his keeper trusted Duncan and seemed to hold the Gray Wardens in high regard, so he decided to heed her judgment. Leaving his clan behind, unsure if he would ever see them again since they’d already decided to move North as soon as possible in order to keep safe, was one of the hardest things he’d had to do up until that point in his life.
He was raised by Ashalle, an old friend of his father’s. Both of his parents died around the time of his birth, so he never got to meet either of them and he was never really told about the circumstances of their death. All he knew was that his father had been the former keeper of his clan and his mother a hunter form a different clan. His father had fallen in love with his mother and they’d had to meet in secret because the elders did not approve of their bond. It wasn’t until the day he was to leave his clan for good that Ashalle finally told him the truth about what happened.  Apparently, when his mother was pregnant with him, during one of those secret meetings of theirs, their parents were attacked by a group of humans and city elves. During the resulting fight his father was killed and his mother gravely wounded. She stayed alive just long enough to give birth to him, then passed away. Quite the story to stomach, especially when he was about to put his life into the hands of a human, stepping out into a world that had been nothing but hostile towards his people for as long has their memory lasts. A world he knew very little about, other than the stories the elders told of the dangers and cruelties lurking everywhere within. And through all of that, his failure to protect Tamlen weighed heavily on him, a burden he’d carry with him wherever he set foot.
He was mid twenties, when all of this happened and at that point, the elders and Ashalle had been urging him to find an elven lass to bond with and start his own family for a while. And he’d been doing his best to dodge them for just about as long. He’d never met a woman he’d been interested in and perhaps, if he was to be very honest with himself, his feelings towards Tamlen might have run a little deeper than he’d have liked to admit to anyone, let alone himself. The Dalish don’t frown upon same sex relationships per se, but since the elves are such a diminished race it is regarded as extremely important that anyone who can start a family and produce children to keep their blood alive do so as a duty to their people. Anyone who refuses to or, gods forbid, settles with a partner of a different race is all but branded a traitor to their kind and shunned by their clan, sent into exile to fend for themselves. So in a way, by leaving when he did, he dodged a bullet or a very tough decision he was eventually going to have to make for himself that had been headed his way for a while now. Though one wonders if the fate he found can be considered any better.
He loved his clan and the life he led with them dearly. To him, there was nothing better than that simple life of wandering from place to place and the inherent freedom of it, the deep green of the forests around them, the moonlight glint of the hallas’ coats, the aravels’ colorful sails, the stories of his ancestors told around campfires as the young and old listen with equal wonder, the thrill of the hunt as thin soles tread soundlessly over soft, moss-covered forest floors, Andruil’s invisible hand guiding him onward, and the rush of satisfaction at having been successful. At having been able to provide for his clan, keeping them fed and healthy and safe from danger of any kind. That was where he felt most at home. It was not an easily life, but one worth living.
He can’t read. Never learned, because it never seemed important. All of the lore about his people is kept as oral history not written down.
He really wanted to be able to take Zevran to meet his clan, once all of the horrors of the Blight were over. He knew they wouldn’t be able to stay if they wanted to be together, but he at least wanted to visit and show Zevran how he grew up and who the people were that meant so much to him. Finding a place among the rebuilding Wardens after that didn’t seem like such a bad thing, then. Sadly, none of that ever came to pass. He died defeating the Archdemon and ending the Blight. And instead of receiving a burial the way his people would have intended, in the green forest he’d loved so much with a seed planted over him, a tree growing to mark his grave for his people, his body now lies in a cold stone crypt together with his Warden brothers and sisters, who share the honor of having given their lives to end a Blight.

tagged by: @falkreathh thank you!!  sorry for doing this so much later u_u’ tagging: whoever wants to!! (◡‿◡✿) 1. favourite game in the series ok... i don’t know if you already figured it out but my total fave is dao. why? maybe is the nostalgic feelings this game gives me or... i played it so many mcfucking times that i just get this hollow feeling inside my chest when i haven’t played it for weeks... idk. the trespasser dlc was spectacular too and gave my lavellan a lot of personality (what i thought the dai base game lacked, bc it made me feel like my inquisitor was an empty shell with no personality, solas’ romance save the dai base game to me tbqh). but... you can create such complex personalities in dao for your warden, and the relationships are so so realistic. i think (dao) is neat lmao.
2. how did you discover dragon age? before being a dragon age fan i was a dark souls fan; i breath dark souls, i read dark souls, i ate dark souls, i was quite obsessed with dark souls, and before dark souls i was an obsessed skyrim fan (oNLY SKYRIM, not the previous games ashdgjasdgh) and with skyrim that was the first time i made video game oc's, like... they had such complex personalities and i cannot make complex character now... aNYWAY i'm getting carried away: i knew dragon age bc dai was being lunched and ALL the people i followed reblogged stuff about dai, and then i bought dao and loved it!!
3. how many times have you played the games? hfgsdjfhsjfshd fffUCKKKK SHITT... alright... many mANY TIMES, but how many times i haven't finished my game?? countless times!! i think i finished fINISHED dao maybe... pls don't laugh at me... 10+ times. yes they are so so so many times, shame on me! shame on my cow! blah blah, but i lOVE dao. da2 maybe.... 3-4 times? and dai 6 times?? it's funny bc i played dao and da2 in many different ways but dai... m8, always the same, fuck you solas sdhfjdshjsdf 4. favourite race to play? qUNARIIIII!!! i lOVE tieflings so.. i obviously love the qunari too, but in the dai the first race i chose was qunari but then i talked to solas and i was like... bITCHHHHH i'm gonna create an elf to romance this egg, and then... my canon inky became an elf lol. and last favourite race are humans... ok don't hate me, it's not bc they are """boring""" or shit like that, it's bc they are the upper-class of thedas and i LOVE the "from zero to hero" trope... so... yeah agfshsdfhj 5. favourite class? mages!! bc i love the lore behind this class, it's fantastic, precisely blood magic. but if i didn't care about this, i would choose archer, tho in the first games it sucked but in dai is pretty cool :^) 6. do you play through the games differently or do you make the same decisions each time? as i've said before i have made many different decisions in dao and da2 but in dai are always the same lol 7. go-to adventuring group? origins: alistair/sten, morrigan, zev/leliana da2: aveline, anders, isabela/varric dai: solas, cassandra, cole/sera 8. which of your characters did you put the most thought into? i think prim/anika??(they're the same but one is a human and the other an elf lmaoo), she was my first da oc, and obviously the one i put most thought into bc i uSED to have a lot of creativity some years ago, what a pity my brain is useless now lmao 9. favourite romance? pfffff... solas, alistair, leli and cass!! i think?? idk i gotta play again dai bc i'm not sure :/ 10. have you read any of the comics/books? i've read aLL the books but not the comics :/, i want to read the comics but idk where i could read them online and free (sorry i'm poor lol), so... mi gozo en un pozo lmao 11. if you read them, which was your favourite book? my fav book was "the masked empire"!! patrick weekes is a good writer and i loved the orlesian politics, and i adored seeing these characters in dai! (tho briala was whitewashed lmao) 12. favourite DLCs? obviously: awakening and trespasser. these two dlc's were mcfUCKING AMAZING. i mean, with dao i expected the same quality of the base game, but trespasser was such an excelent and good experience, it gave a lot of insight to our inquisitors and also: sOOULASSSSS, so yep! i mainly lOVED trespasser and i hope weekes guides the team to make a game at least as good as this dlc! (tho, if ea is a greedy bintch this time [as always lol] it doesn't matter how many times the bioware time tries, ea will force them to do a shitty game :/) 13. things that annoy you how viv, anders and sera are written, i mean, i loved anders the first time i played da2 but his personality is obviously written to annoy the fuck outta you, tho i loved how he expressed his ideals freely (tho sometimes he even seemed too traidtional to me about topics like blood magic :/), but sera and viv were a lil harder to befriend and like, and i still don't like much viv, but i love her as a character, y'kno 14. orlais or ferelden? tbh, if i gotta live in one of those two places i would choose ferelden by fAR. but, now, if we're talking about which is more interesting; orlais. 15. templars or mages? like @/blckwall said: all templars are bastards :). i would love if thedas had independent magic schools, that there were no higher representatives or charges, that every village or city had its own magic school, and the crown would be the responsable of manage its needs. i haven't thought much about this so my thoughts are quite vague :/ 16. if you have multiple characters, are they in different/parallel universes or in the same one? they're from different universes, tho i'd love the idea of all of them being in the same universe, but some worlds states are incompatible with others. 17. what did you name your pets? (mabari, summoned animals, mounts, etc) in dao: barkspawn (i'm extremelly predictable, sorry u_u') 18. have you installed any mods? all my dragon age games are modded as fUCK. i mean, i think dao is the most heavy modded game i have?? (mainly bc i cannot install many mods in skyrim lol) but when i have my gaming computer again i will mod the shit out of dai >:) 19. did your warden want to become a grey warden? prim had been working in the circle her entire live to be in the higher ranks, and then she saw how all her work was lost made her really conflicted: she didn't wanted to leave bc she yearned to be more powerful and make the circle a better place for mages (yep, she's deeply anti-circle bc of her traumatic past), and she was going to die if she refused duncan's offer. even so, she was never sorry for supporting jowan. and, she became the king of ferelden's mistress; she loved him obv, but she could also take some advantage of his power to make the mages and marginalize people's situation better, and gain fortune by that; alistair was well aware about her plans by prim's words herself, but he never objected. altho the main cause prim made alistair king is bc she wanted him to have a good life and not waste it as a grey warden, so... anyway, i got acrried away... this is long af ghdjsdgf 20. hawke’s personality? red mostly, tho he used to be purple/red in the first and begining of the second act :/ 21. did you make matching armor for your companions in inquisition? yes i did!! i lOVED to be fashionable in dragon age instyle!! 22. if your character(s) could go back in time to change one thing, what would they change? prim : she would have tried to convince jowan and wait some months until she could convince him. also: sometimes she wishes she didn't make alistair king, mostly bc of her daughter (her daughter is the only heir to the throne of ferelden, and basically she doesn't even know that prim is her real mother, mostly bc anora adopted her bc alistair and she couldn't have children), sometimes, in her alone saddest times, thinks how things would have been if alistair was still a grey warden, they would have a happy family and wouldn't even had to hide inofensive stuff like a cheek kiss. but anyway, her duties as a grey warden are more important and doesn't have time to think about it. garrett hawke: he regrets not defending carver, he would have prefered to sacrifice himself instead of any of his siblings. he also regrets going to the deep roads with bethany, letting the grey wardens make her one of them (obv he doesn't know that if he didn't she would have joined the circle lmao). and obv her mother's death... if he had been there, with her mother, he could have done something... :'/ maia: she regrets not being strong enough when that shem tried to hurt her when she was a litte girl, that made her mother kill him to save her bc she was too defenseless, she should have been stronger, that caused her mother and she part ways, because now maia's mother was a criminal and she had more proabilities of getting caught, so maia should go on her way and find the next village, but she found the lavellan clan. she deeply regrets not going after her mother. she also think she was too stupid to not found out the true identity of solas and try to convince him that this world has meaning :'/ 23. do you have any headcanons about your character(s) that go against canon? mmmm... no? :/, i like my decisions to have consequences?? 24. are any of your characters based on someone? sahgdashsd pls don't make fun of me but in the first stage of prim's/anika's 'personality creation' was inspired by mother gothel, then she was inspired by...... mikasa ackerman dsfgdjsdf, i'm still inspired by that character tHO i know that shingeki no kyojin is nazi propaganda and i no longer watch that anime lmao. maia is inspired by... a mix of me and rapunzel (from tangled)?? she's basically a shy rapunzel :') 25. who did you leave in the fade? some of you will hate me bc i had to choose between hawke and stroud but i still chose hawke dsfgsdf. m8, hawke is just a 'figure' who isn't widely recognized in thedas, while the grey warden are 394789x more useful, idk i always put myself in the shoes of my characters even if their decisions hurt me (tho, tbqh, i'm not tHAT attached to hawke so this choice was easy lol) 26. favourite mount? royal sixteen!! she's so pretty!! ♡♡♡ thanks for tagging me!! ♡♡

Note
I JUST REALISED I FORGOT TO ASK WHICH NUMBERS FOR THE DA THING SO HERE U GO: 1,4,5,6,17, 20, 21, 22, 25,26,28, 41-43, 45-47, 49, 51-54, 57, 73, 98-101 !!!
How did you get into Dragon Age? @gaymightynein told me there was a black bisexual pirate captain lady and that was the end of that tbh
What was your first Warden (gender/class/race/personality)? She was a rogue dalish elf (kinda my thing), and she was a sassy hoe, and she was a dumbass hoe who fell head over heels with Alistair (it was me i was in love with him) but yea
What was your first Hawke like (gender/class/temperament)? Well, my first Hawke was called Karis and she was Tired Tee Em. She was exhausted and at some point she kind of just does that John Mulaney bit where he’s like ‘it might as well just happen’ i mean her mother gets murdered by someone who makes his own little frankenstein’s bride LEAVE HER ALONE
First Inquisitor (gender/class/race/personality)? Lunas, rogue, dalish elf, you know the dealio. I imagined her very anti-responsibility and very very sneaky and one day she wakes up and her hand is glowing and there are two ladies yelling at her and frankly she’s kinda yanked along on this adventure that she would most definitely prefer not to be a part of and for fuck’s sake she doesn’t even believe in the Maker why do people keep worshipping her as the Herald?? She didn’t ask for this??? She just wanted to be sneaky??
What did you name your Mabari? Pluto!! Because it was my favourite planet, and then i watched a mickey mouse thing and i had to find a new name for my mabari.
Was everyone loyal at the end? Hmm. Hmmmmmm. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Wait, for DAO or DA2? Bc DA2 everyone loved me but for DAO Alistair leaves me and becomes a drunk or something. Why? Because he’s an idiot.
Did Hawke side with the Mages or Templars? …. Templars. But my logic was that it would be easier to save mages if you pretended to be on the Templars side, but i forgot that it’s a game that treats any complex decision like it’s black and white. i was entirely neutral up until that point.
Favorite DA2 party combo? izzy, Merrill, Seb/Varric. Or Izzy, Anders, and Varric. Not necessarily useful, but the party banter was 10/10. Fenris i didn’t really appreciate until my second playthrough.
Favorite DA:I place? SKYHOLD. I LOVE SKYHOLD TO BITS. HAVEN CAN SUCK MY TIT SKYHOLD 4EVA (the wastes are also pretty but fuck it’s annoying)
Did your Inquisitor choose the Mages or the Templars? … TemplARS I CAN EXPLAIN-
Which did you leave behind (Abyss)? lol first time i accidentally clicked hawke and i went back and i re-did the boss bc i don’t want to live with that kinda responsibility
Inquisitor’s feelings on being the Herald of Andraste? ‘YoU KNOw Who elSE can SUCK MY TiT-?’ She was a proud Dalish elf, of course she hated it, and she kept saying it until it got exhausting. I remember there’s this castle fort thing in the hinterlands where there’s a woman that’s like “You can’t be Andraste’s Herald, you’re an elf!’ and first playthrough I was like ‘CoME AND SAY THAT TO MY FACE’ and the second playthrough I was like ‘This woman gets it, everyone listen to her.’
Who did you romance in your first playthrough for each game? Ahem. Alistair. Isabela. … Cullen. I know I hate it.
Who do you wish you could romance that you can’t? DORIAN. God I love him.
Favorite romance overall so far? Yeah, okay. So I like Alistair. And what. Fight me.
Which 3 DA characters would you want as your best friends? Varric, Varric and Varric. Also maybe Izzy, but mainly Varric.
A character you’d love to drop in a volcano and forget about? DA2 Anders. Awakening Anders was the fucking best.
Best antagonist in the series?  Ehhhh, I guess Anora? All the other villains are kinda shitty, and Anora is at least a vaguely interesting back-stabbing whore.
Worst antagonist in the series? Solas. He antagonised me, okay?
Something you do in EVERY DA playthrough, no matter what? Be a rogue. Like me some stabby stabby.
Favorite Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor headcanons (any or all)? Inquisitor is obsessed with dragons. She loves them an unhealthy amount, and she loves/hates killing them. Hawke is an alcoholic but she’s good at it. She can count the amount of times she drank Isabela under the table, and remembers at least one of those times. Another Hawke one is that Varric deals with her love life with a devastating efficiency, and that’s why they are best friends. All my Warden headcanons are sad.
Favorite non-Player Character headcanons? Sandal is a God.
That One Headcanon that hurts to think about? How long it took Hawke to leave the house after she found her mother dead? Inquisitor coming back from the Fade like ‘yes we won but everything is awful’ and coming home like ‘at least i have someone who loves me’ and Josie is like ‘yoooo i am engaged haha what’s up with you’? Warden not caring if she died in the battle in Denerim bc what’s the point? Eh, take your pick.
Fluffiest headcanon ever? Aveline is a panic baker. They all found out about this the day before her Guard Captain test.
Who would you date if you could (as you, not your OC)? Yeah, Alistair. Seems the healthiest option tbh. And that is saying A LOT.
Who has the best character arc overall? Varric.
Who was written really poorly? DA2 Anders come here and fucking fight me
Favorite OST song(s)? I am a slut for In Your Heart Shall Burn, i just think it is the sexiest battle music in existence (it’s not even the proper thing, it’s like a build-up, a foreplay if you will, and it just kinda really get’s me going, even if it is really short.)
Did you get someone into DA? I know you didn’t ask this but heheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheheh
If you could be any non-Human DA species, which and why? Elf. Because I love em. They are great.
Where would you live (Fereldan, Orlais, Free Marches etc?) ANTIVA BITCH YOU SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL ZEV AND JOSIE ARE HAVE YOU HEARD THAT ACCENT HAVE YOU FELT THE LEATHER BOOTS
Circle, Templar, Chantry, Guard, Seeker, Inquisition, or none? Eh, if I had to I would choose the Inquisition.
If you could meet your Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor, what would you say? You did good, buddy. You did good.
Took a few months don’t mind me I am procrastinating and in a mood  i love you ben

Character Sheet - Dragon Age Solona Amell
IWhile I love Elissa, Solona is actually my favorite of my Wardens, though I freely admit to muddling up the story of Origins just a little bit because I really hate certain characters and wanted to give more reason to hate them. I freely also admit that if I had my way, certain events in other games would go differently, and Solona’s story is the same multi-Wardens story as Elissa’s.
Some spoilers as well. though I tried to keep them mostly vague-ish for anything after DAO/Awakenings since Sol also has little to do with 2 (okay, she shows up a few times, but not a key factor in the overall plot of 2 because it isn’t her story), and I haven’t played Inquisition and instead just went on a long wiki walk on the wikia…

Alignment: She will get the job done, with her conscience as whole as possible, and as lawfully as possible. She is willing to bend the rules for a little while, or will stand aside when she is overruled, but she will do what she can to keep an eye on when that happens. She does not want the blood of innocents on her hands any more than she already has to have. She has no qualms about lying to protect people who had done nothing wrong, but does react badly to betrayals. She will hunt down traitors and make them pay. Lawful Neutral/Chaotic Good-ish
Warrior/Peacekeeper: Warrior
Torture/Healer: She has a healing spell and herbalism skills, but she is not a talented healer.
Range/Melee: Melee, she was training to become a Knight-Enchanter eventually
Rusted Knight/Greenhorn: She was newly Harrowed when recruited, but she know the dangers of blood magic and demons from living in Kirkwall until she was ten years old.
Cynical/Optimist: Optimist, innocent until proven guilty. However, once someone has been found guilty, she doesn't feel remorse for meting out justice in accordance to the law.
Appearance: She's taller than most of her peers, and has maintained an aura of nobility even as she was stripped of her rank for being a mage. Tired of the other apprentices teasing her for being vain about her dark hair, she took a knife to it and cut it very short, keeping it that short for years. She has a paler skin tone due to being indoors most of her life, her skin tans when she's fighting the Blight, but not by much.
Disability(ies)/Health Concerns: Nightmares of the Fade, of her brother's death, the Blight, the Circle (after The Broken Circle), the False Calling (much later); Grey Warden Taint;
Scar(s): Collects many during the Fifth Blight- mostly well healed with herbalism, but on her waist she has the one from Ostagar as the most notable, sometimes the Taint is more visible than other times
Tattoo(s): The Templar cross on her inner arm, the outline of manacles on her wrists that are charmed to bind her to her Watchman when she has one, as was deemed necessary by a previous Knight-Commander in Kirkwall the night her magic was discovered.
Accent: Kirkwall, but it has faded into a blend of Kirkwall and Ferelden. -Wise and Mystical voices mixed and slightly younger, she ages into it-
Prized Personal Possession(s)*: Shoulder and arm guards to a Templar's Armor set, two Templar amulets, a Warden Amulet, (Inq Era- a greatsword),
Pet Peeves: When mages turn to blood magic; Templars who judge all mages to be monsters; Apostates who use blood magic;
Likes: Spirits; Protecting against demons; protecting; laws being followed; freedom; having a place to call home;
Dislikes: Blood magic; demons; betrayal; being reliant on the Chantry; Zealots;
Vice(s): Her hatred for bloodmages; Lyrium addiction from over draining her personal mana store;
Natural Abilities: Magic that leans heavily towards the Templar talents; (As a Warden) Darkspawn detection;
Trained Abilities: Sword fighting; specific spells and magical techniques; Arcane Warrior magic; Templar techniques;
Understand Language(s): Common, learns a smattering of Quinlat to the point of being able to have a basic conversation, (Inq Era-) Darkspawn,
Communicable Language(s): Common, what little Quinlat she knows, (Inq Era-) Darkspawn
Signature Outfit: (Origins Era-) She shortened her orange Harrowed Mage robe into a tunic and wears leggings underneath in order to wear armor and chainmail over her clothing. (Original Mage Tutor Robes in Improved Atmosphere, but that went away and made me sad with a fixpack) (Inq Era-) Templar armor put together for more mobility over a red tunic and breeches; or Grey Warden armor over a blue tunic; or a robe shortened into a tunic with breeches.
Formal Attire: (Origins Era-) Grey Warden Robes. (Inq Era-) Full Templar set and robes; or Grey Warden robes; or an Enchanter's robes, all depending on the situation.
“Tainted” Attire: She would look like herself, only twisted into an Abomination; Blood everywhere; A Ghoul or Shriek;
Lazy Attire: Parts of her armor are removed, or all of her armor is removed, leaving her in whatever tunic she had been wearing.
Catchphrase(s): "Magic is to serve man, not to rule him"; "I am a mage";
War Cry: Most of her combat is her muttering passive spells under her breath as she fights, so she doesn't waste time on a war cry.
Nightmare(s): Turning into an abomination; Her brother being turned into an abomination in front of her before she killed him; Blight dreams; What had happened to Kinloch Hold Circle; Ostagar dreams; (Inq Era-) False Calling; Fallen Circle Tower (unnamed) events and the demon’s promises;
Hope/Goal(s): A balance being found between mages and Templars; Becoming a properly trained Knight-Enchanter;
Secret(s): Warden secrets; She used to sneak out at night to practice spells until she drained her mana and had to reload on Lyrium; Her own infatuation with Cullen; (Inq Era-) a Lyrium addiction is at the almost same level as Cullen’s when he gets off Lyrium and she uses it to try and drown out the Calling;
*Story behind this/these
Templar Armor pieces- The pieces of armor she prized used to be her brother's they were the smaller pieces a ten year old could wear under robes while in transport from Kirkwall to Kinloch. She will always wear them, and cares for them obsessively. They are the shoulder and arm guards.
Templar Amulet- Her brother's proof of identity he threw to her in his last moment of lucidity as an abomination. She keeps it because she feels like he's watching over her from the Maker's side. It eventually goes to Greagoir Irving. Before she gives it to her son, she included one for herself when the Chantry finalized her Knight-Mage status while among the Warden Recruits before Ostagar.
Warden Amulet- Leftover blood from the Joining are made solid into amulets for the Wardens who survived to remember the ones lost from the start.
(By DA2/Inquisition-) Greatsword- Cullen's sword she took before his transfer out of Kinloch and replaced with a different sword after claiming she broke it when trying to place a permanent ice and fire spell on the blade. He had taken her Knight-Enchanter/Knight-Mage blade hilt first by mistaking it for a broken weapon.
