Overwatch - Imp Mercy Cosplay Progress Post #1 - What’s My Call Schedule?

I haven’t worked on a cosplay or even touched my sewing machine since last September because I’m been focusing on med school, but now I think I’m prepared to start another project! I got into Overwatch (along with half the planet) sometime last year, and have been adoring Mercy’s character ever since I saw her official bio. The whole “bleeding heart dove physician” thing I totally/literally my jam. 

Now she has a good number of skins, and I’ve decided to make her Imp skin because I love the fluorescent pink-purple color scheme and the cheekiness she has as the character. I haven’t made a winged or armor cosplay yet, so I’m looking forward to learning some new crafting techniques. I’m also trying my best to make the entire costume with under $200 of newly bought stuff--so let’s see if I meet my goal! My tentative deadline for this costume is November 4th, 2017, at San Antonio’s OtakuFair x GaMExpo.

2. MJ Trends Four way stretch faux leather in black (2 yards) and white (4 yards) - $80.64

Total: $123.14 omg why

I’m planning on using Simplicity 2341 for the jacket and Colette Pattern’s Clover for the pants, both with I’ve worked already, so hopefully there won’t be any major problems with the fit and construction. So far, I’m under my budget...! I’ve only just ordered the above materials and ironed out my pattern paper, so no pictures of anything yet.

Edit: just kidding, traced out part of the template for the staff under cat supervision.
