The silk of the rope was gentle as it unspooled from Marion’s careful hands around Sean’s shoulders and comforting in its tension as Jean tied her exacting knots. It was so tempting to let his mind still for once. No war, no monsters, just Jean and Marion’s soft commands to move this way and that way and still now, darling. Softness was such a rare allowance for him.

WIP game: 3. like a mad dog you’ll bare your teeth

HELL yeah. This WIP is a Candela Obscura bottom table ot3/veterans’ affairs fic. Actually! It’s the first CO fic I ever started writing, but it’s currently a one shot that’s sitting at 5k words long with NONE of the actual content of the fic I’d planned to write written yet lmao. (And I think its original working title was literally “I AM IN HELL. FUCK YOU BRENNAN.”)

It also happens to have one of my favorite snippets, (suggestive) under the cut

Marion raised his eyebrows at Jinnah, who pursed her lips as she bit back a smile. “What do you think?” he asked her, a playfulness in his voice he didn’t often get to let slip. “Should we make him lose, since he wants to be in trouble so bad? Or should we let him be good?”

“We could ask Sean’s opinion,” Sean interjected. Both Marion and Jinnah ignored him.

“Do you think Mr. Finnerty wants to be good, Marion?” Jinnah asked, taking a step closer. Marion shook his head at her again. “I think he might,” she said, putting a hand on Marion’s cheek. “I think maybe he wants to be good more than he cares to admit.” Her hand slid down Marion’s jaw and throat, to the buttons of his shirt. “I think that’s why he’s so good at following orders.”

“Again,” Sean interrupted, annoyance coloring his voice. “You could fuckin’ ask.”

“If I wanted your opinion, Sean,” Marion said, as Jinnah began unbuttoning the front of his shirt. “I’d ask you for it.”

“Whatever you say, LT.”

“Sean,” Marion and Jinnah snapped at the same time, finally turning their heads to face him. He looked pleased as punch with this development, because of course he did, the most shit-eating grin smeared across his face.

“Yeah?” he asked, with as much innocence as he could apparently muster, which wasn’t very much to speak of at all.
