So Greta and Margot weren’t nominated, but America and Ryan were. Honestly I don’t think any of them should have been for Barbie, but it’s also high key sus to nominate Ryan over Margot. And it’s not like there was more competition for female noms vs make noms this year. It’s also astounding that Barbie can do so well commercially and get all these awards and noms, but Greta is overlooked.

Again I don’t think the movie deserved the hype it did outside of being a fun summer blockbuster, but how are you going to vote for Ryan and completely snub the lead actress and the director? It does feel very pointed and sexist at this point.

And nothing for Charles Melton?! Not the point but that's shocking to me. I agree though, while I definitely don't find Barbie to be Oscar-worthy at all, Margot and Greta really did do the hardest work and the best job.

Lol legit shocked that EEAAO won everything at the oscars cuz it was so good and fun and I have this impression that these snobs only like biopics or war films.

Yeah they do tend to like snobby things but they also tend to vote for whatever seems to be the most popular, and I honestly can't even think of another movie that was nominated this year so.
