Soft tissue aesthetics and #facialaesthetics are always an area of focus in my practice. So why in this case we aimed to finish slightly “gummier”? A. The Patient: Simply, this 14 year old patient and the parents were delighted with this result! B. The Doctor: The vertical maxillary excess conveniently compensated for a high angle malocclusion (MMPA and FMPA over 40)- think about the adverse effect impaction mechanics would have. There was also a considerable soft tissue component ( #lips , lips, lips).
