Callie is the quiet sort who prefers the company of books to people. She doesn't go out of her way to make friends and can often seem cold or even rude to people who don't know her, but she's quite friendly once you manage to break through her surface. Deep down, she feels very alone due to her parents being distant and being an only child. She struggles with creating meaningful connections but craves them deeply.

She responds best to speaking of common interests, like books or music. She's a little bit clueless about the Muggle world and finds learning about Muggle culture fascinating. Callie is creative and sometimes scribbles poetry in the margins of her essays or in little notebooks. She doesn't have ambitions to become a poet as a fulltime job, though.

mateja: those sad ASPCA commercials, the orpheus and eurydice myth, kent cuddling with them and/or annie, cass, and lugosi, viral stories about acts of human compassion, nick having a plate of cookies waiting when he knows they’ve had a rough day

olivia: kids giggling when she makes a silly face at them, gray’s narrowed focus on her to make a moment meaningful, reddit threads of people sharing what they love about their partners and their daily lives, sappy tear-jerker movies, nick’s immediate hugs after a bad day

question :: how often do they feel doubt? what topics are they defensive about?

mateja is confident overall about themself and their abilities, but they do worry about their zero affecting their potential. they’re most defensive about their deteriorated relationship with hope - how they refuse to speak to her, how they shut down remarks about their similarity to her.

olivia is fully confident in herself and almost bull-headed about not letting her zero get in the way of her abilities or how people see her, but she’s anxious in a way about how her zero can become a problem to the people in her life. she’s most defensive about her skills and academic performance - she’s a perfectionist who hates to have her weaknesses pointed out to her, even in a constructive sense.

touch :: how do they handle contact? is their personal bubble big?

mateja isn’t too naturally inclined to physical touch, only really once they’re very comfortable with a person - large personal bubble that shortens with time and trust. hugs are often reserved for nick, sally, kent, and glitch; casual touches - resting their head on a shoulder, pressing close to a side on the couch, holding hands or running fingers through hair - are strictly for kent. most likely to wince and stiffen up then back off from unwanted contact.

olivia is more tactile and cuddly, but depending on the brain range of the ments in her life it may be rare or more infrequent than she’d prefer, so she’s often a little touch starved - smaller personal bubble, but not by choice so much as circumstance. a little flinchy about sudden, unexpected contact from not being used to it.

The last thing Elle remembered was pain. Her senses had been stimulated to such an extent that she hadn't been able to bear it. She supposed that she had fainted.

It was an underground river.

Then a boat began to approach from the distant darkness, with two people inside. The boatman and a person with a regal pose standing at his side.

Elle waited, with a strange feeling of anxiety, that the boat will arrive.

When the boat touched the shore the companion came down with an unprecedented elegance.

He was a man in his 30s, with curly hair and a goatee.His hair was black and his eyes dark gray. He had a rather severe aura.
