Hey everyone, there's a major hurricane headed almost directly toward us. We're in Orlando which is far inland, but this is an intense storm and we may lose power for several days. We're not in an area prone to flooding, we live in a cinderblock house and the roof has hurricane clips. It'll get rough for a little while, but we'll be fine :)

Right. Well last we checked in I was on a one way flight to Orlando Florida to visit mom. I'm still here. I do have my return ticket however and I thought I might reflect on a few things given the fact that there is a gorgeous public computer on the 2nd floor in her apartment complex. Reminds me of my good ol days as a 1337 h4x0r and stuff. 1. The weather. I have been monitoring the weather on a daily basis both here in Orlando and in Jersey ( I use East Brunswick as my reference seeing as it's close enough to Monroe ) and to be honest the difference is pretty intense. It is regularly 20 degrees warmer in Orlando than it is in Jersey which means whatever that means for you but personally I don't like the heat and especially the humid heat. 2. I love mom and living with her and how active we are compared to dad sometimes but wallahi I have become accustomed to having my own room and living in the house in Jersey. It's not that I wouldn't move ( but I would still have to deal with the heat ) it's just that we would need a place with a second room I think. Even though she says she's ok with the arrangement we have i.e. her sleeping on a mattress in the living room out of decency I would appreciate there being another room. That's really all I've observed. I mean there are some other things like the public transportation system which is even nicer here than in VA and the fact that mom is always complaining about the driving skills of everyone. I already have my return ticket purchased - Saturday October 21st. I also have an interview set up with "Under Armor" on the 23rd in the Jackson Outlet for a sales position. I don't know how eager I am for that but it's a possibility so alhamdillah. The job search carries on. Medications carry on. Islam and my 5 prayers carry on. delta out.
