Always love finding the occasional herp, aka honorary bug. This is a pickerel frog (Lithobates palustris), a common sight in wetlands in the Northeastern US. Their vaguely iridescent skin and striking markings are a treat to behold. I came across this one when I was hiking along a creek in Pennsylvania.

Sunday walk

"Deer Heron,"

A buck died in the lake and a blue heron took advantage of the perch for some deep water fishing. Also Turtle.

I'm reminded that my purpose might be not as a paradigm of industriousness but as an example to another as how NOT to live.

Or as a body floating in the water acting as a raft for wildlife.

I'm ok with this.
