look at all the green... Basically there are three AU's to Season 4 Yugi: Ori Yugi The manifestation of hatred powered by the Orichalcos. This Yugi is cruel and spiteful and extremely dangerous if turned loose. Levi Yugi The vessel of the Orichalcos God The Great Leviathan. Yugi's spirit is merged with the evil god and he slowly becomes consumed by the power. I wrote a whole fic about this :P

DOMA Yugi A Yugi who willing joins DOMA, He's force of his own and like Ori Yugi is cruel but is filled with the need for revenge. His au is more about just exploring Yugi as a villain, i'll explore this is my new Fic.

Atem and Yugi in separate bodies wouldn't even change much of their dynamic they already spent 3 years with no boundaries they'd just be clingy bitches still joint at the hip, sleeping in the same bed, bathing together, sharing food and drink, if one of em doesn't wanna talk they just push the other one in front [usually Yugi doing this bc he goes nonverbal more often], Atem definitely forgets he can't just walk through solid objects anymore so he keeps bruising his shins on the furniture, if you see one the other won't be far behind so it's actually more concerning if they don't show up as a pair, they probably have separation anxiety but this is the 90's and early 2000's so nobody is willing to talk about that therapy who haha we're so fine :)

Yu-Gi-Oh Seal of Orichalcos AU

I was rewatching Yu-Gi-Oh yesterday. And when I was at the Orichalcos arc, after Atem lost the duel against Raphael and Yugi sacrifices himself to save Atem from being taken by the seal. I thought. Damn it would be so cool and make the stakes higher if Atem started to slowly revert himself back into his season 0 self. Without Yugi, his guiding light, he starts to lose himself into the darkness once again.

He becomes more introverted, he starting to smile that scares the shit out of everyone, his hair wilder and eyes is no longer human. They are now filled with purple flames from the darkest path of underworld.

During his battle against Wevil. He had secretly started a shadow game when Wevil lied about having Yugi's soul! And was this close to tearing Wevil soul apart with berserker soul as punishment if it werent for Thea stopping him.

And this is when she saw what was happening to Atem.

watching season 4 thinking about an orichalcos corrupted bakura

thought id draw him but today my art style decided to have a stroke. i tried but i dont think it Truly reflects my Vision

There's a scene in the Orichalcos arc where Weevil taunts Atem with a card he claims can save Yugi before ripping it in front of him and Atem loses his shit and proceeds to beat the fuck out of him by having his monsters attack him 7 times, and probably would've gone for more if Anzu hadn't stopped him

I've seen many theories saying that these 7 hits were for the 5 exodia cards Weevil threw off the ship with the last two hits being for the two cards Joey risked his life to save. But I call bullshit on that and propose this:

Amnesiac or not, numbers have a lot of importance in various mythologies and cultures worldwide. In Irish myth, you'll see a lot of 3's and 9's. In Egyptian lore one of the numbers most present is 7. In this moment of rage fuelled grief, I fully believe Atem instinctually regressed to his pharaoh days and was doling out a divine punishment on Weevil. If he had continued attacking, I think he would've capped off at 14 hits, the exact number of body parts that the god Seth cut Osiris into so he could be scattered all over Egypt - 7 body parts in upper Egypt and 7 more in lower Egypt

In this moment, Atem starts off as the grieving Isis desperately willing to do anything to bring her lover [Osiris] back from the dead but the second Weevil rips up the card, he becomes the angry Seth who cuts Osiris into pieces in the first place. Because if Anzu hadn't stopped him he may well have fallen to his own rage and the seal itself and never been able to get Yugi back as a result
