#i have watched 1 1/2 video essays dissecting moral orel#SPOILER ALERT#and BOTH of them said that orel shot the bear in SELF defense#i loathe this mistake bc it neglects something deeply important about this scene#orel shot the bear to protect his dad#orel shot and killed an animal something he is intensely morally opposed to and that makes him incredibly uncomfortable#for the father he hates#for the father who shot him#his dad could have lied there and played dead like orel had been doing#but he did not - instead aggravating the bear#this bear then approached mr. puppington - NOT OREL#and would have KILLED mr puppington#he would not have touched orel#orel shot the bear to save his dad and that makes this scene much more meaningful fuck you all#moral orel#three pigeons in a trench coat
