Cherokee and Vital Spirit come back from last week, and Agalloch takes two well-deserved spots. Satyricon dropped a surprise new release - a 56 minute, single track instrumental album that is being used for a Norwegian art exhibit. Aaannnddd Kisame week - day 7 is finally here !! It took me quite some time to do that one because I possess zero gram of self control in me and decided to draw the entire Akatsuki for that one, but I like the result.

I have decided to call that one "A Normal Day in the Akatsuki Tower". As such, we have : Kakuzu counting his money, Sasori repairing his puppet, Itachi eating dangos, Tobi reading some fairy tale about magic fishes granting wishes, Hidan and Deidara trying to fish Kisame so they can ask for a wish, Kisame being about to commit a triple murder, Zetsu losing at Poker despite Samehada not even knowing the game's rules, Itachi's crow summon choosing war, Deidara's bat bomb asserting dominance over Kakuzu's heart monster, Pain and Konan not being in charge of this division, and... yes, it seems to be an alternate, younger version of Kisame accidentaly being transported in this dimension.

(They'll have to rely on Tobi to take care of that last thing because he's the only one with space-time related powers. He's going to be insufferable about it for an entire week.)

Kisame Week : day 4

I am not really satisfied with how it turned out but it's almost 3 a.m. so. Too bad. Don't ask me to draw Itachi ever again lol.

Anyway. The mission was supposed to be simple: get it the boat, take the chest from the bunch of pirates, get out.

Sadly some pirate decided to say something that you probably shouldn't say to someone who has god magic in his eyes and this is the story of how they're fleeing a boat sinking into Amaterasu flames, pursued by cannonballs.

Samehada is just happy because she got to eat some chakra today.

Kisame Week, day 3. This one is sad, sorry.

This one is kind of an AU where Kisame is a samebito. Those yôkai are known to cry ruby tears (and also weaving really good silk that never gets wet).

Shinobis don't cry, of course. But exceptions happen. Of course it can't really end well with tears like those and Fuguki should have let his student keep his secrets. Because greed never gets you anywhere but six feet under. Or was it underwater? I forgot.

Kisame week day 6 !

I saw "The shape of water" so I said "The shape of water AU! ... kinda? Maybe if you squint?" In my defense I have never actually watched the movie, only got half a retelling from my granny who likes poetry a bit too much.

ANYWAY ! Today's guest is... Miru ! Yeah I know she only appears in one chapter in the entire manga, but I like her. In this AU she works as a cleaning lady in some shady place and discovers Kisame, your friendly neighbourhood eldritch abomination, trapped in a compartment to small for him, and so she naturally helps him escape.

The bad guys try to stop them but when they arrive, she has already freed him in the ocean. And since the more water there is around him, the bigger he becomes, well... let's say this is not even his final form.

So, I have made day 8 of Kisame Week. Even if I am. An entire week late. But whatever. (I had some holidays).

For the bonus day, we could choose any AU so I decided to go for Atlantis the Lost Empire. I think it really fits Kisame 😄 He still kept his blue hair despise all Atlanteans having white hair. He's special like that.

I didn't do any background this time because I was lazy.

Kisame week : day 5 ! (You may ask me "but wasn't it supposed to be yesterday?" to which I will respond "yeah but time is a social construct and sleep isn't")

Does this drawing respects the timeline and general ages of these characters ? Probably not.

Do I care ? Take a guess.

The Swordmen of the Mist have secrets, many of them being secret sword techniques passed down from generations to generations. You don't get to read those scrolls until you can be trusted with those secrets, because loose lips with sink ships and all that, so apprentices are not allowed to read them.

Zabuza and Mangetsu, though, decided they could bypass the rules and sneak in the temple to read the interesting stuff early on.

Honestly, that's very cute of them to assume they're the first one to try that. As if every single apprentice in the past hasn't done the exact same thing, to the point the real scrolls had to be put somewhere else and it's become an unofficial tradition to 'kindly' remind the newbies to not learn ultimate techniques before the basics.

Today is Kisame's turn to teach that lesson and he's been waiting years for that - ever since he suffered the same embarrassing fate at their age. Someone - or some two - are about to get a beating they'll never forget.

I love complicated characters and Gaara sure was.
