I was reading the Orphic Argonautica last night and the author has mentioned the various methods of divination Apollo knows and guess what? One of them is prophesying by studying the entrails of organisms. As soon as I read that I was reminded of your headcanon of Apollo being into hepatoscopy for divination and I giggled.

Hehe, so fun fact, the overall practice of divination by studying the entrails of animals (including blood, lungs, intestines and so forth) is extispicy while hepatoscopy is specifically using the liver in prophecy and divination readings.

If, like magic in old text exactly like the sort Medea is described as using, the types of divination spoken about in the texts are reflections of the popular divination cultures of the time, I much rather prefer ascribing those to Apollo than I do some vague, somewhat mysterious power which he uses to see the will of the fates, especially since it's mentioned a few times that he'll teach his sons the language of the birds and how to read their signs and so on and so forth.

In short: HEPATOSCOPY APOLLO IS COOL!! HE'S SO NEAT!! Apollo at the altar who predicts the coming droughts and famines from the entrails of his flock!! It's just such a neat little image (to me)!

Also the Orphic Argonautica bangs, genuinely I hope you enjoy it! Orpheus is an insane man and I do not think him along with the collective subspecies of mythical man known as 'sons of Apollo' get enough credit for how truly unhinged they are at any given point in time.

The more I think about it the more I’m angry on the Bad Kids’ behalf that no one has updated their info in the Legend Lore Spell yet. Like even completely disregarding all of Riz’s accomplishments (killed and partially ate Kalvaxus, live-streamed himself and his friends fighting in the nightmare forest, helped defeat the Night Yorb as well as summon it) the fact that he’s only a subheading for the Night Yorb lore and the rest of the Bad Kids aren’t even mentioned in the same breath is objectively insane. At the very least he should link to Fig and Adaine’s page

Am I weird that I was all for RBR Charles all along, but now that it's starting to feel too real, it kind of scares me? Like I want WDC Charles and we always say 'next year is our year' with Ferrari and always get disappointed but yet I can help but genuinely worry if Charles actually leaves and Ferrari build a good car next year?

no, that’s entirely valid! early on i was going back and forth so strongly on whether or not i really want him to leave. i still have moments where the forza ferrari sneaks up on me (like when we see him showing the team their names on his helmut and how much the garage adores him). and if charles stays because he gets a banger contract from ferrari out of all this, i will be a little bummed but still happy for him! at the end of the day i just want him in a competent team and i want him to be happy. rbr may be my favorite team, but rbr and max still come second to charlie yaknow?

a move to rbr would be huge and it would definitely come with a LOT uncertainty and mixed emotions. i think finding yourself at odds with both impulses is probably pretty normal among the charles girlies who just want him to succeed!!

LMAO. one of my favorite stupid headcanons for canon toh is hunter terrorizing odalia between eclipse lake and hollow mind as a sort of "uh, sorry for trying to kill you and threatening your luz" peace offering to amity. i like to imagine he could find time to do something similar here. he's a resourceful dude!
