Definitely a non-issue and I'm purposefully exaggerating for dramatic value but:

Every time I see rosekiller fans complain about how much they hate finding Jegulus in their rosekiller fics bc Jegulus is 'disgusting and unrealistic', and start to attack the Jegulus writers (I see this on tiktok all the time), I want to confiscate rosekiller from them because clearly they don't know their roots. The reason you have rosekiller is the jegulus writers, you don't need to like the ship at all, but why are you being a dick to the writers who made your ship 😭 like...

You mean OUR rosekiller? That the JEGULUS fans made? That you wouldn't HAVE if it weren't for me and a group of people I no longer speak to? When we found them, there was one fanfic cross posted from ff.net and we built the rest. Untitled was the only thing we had from those before us, beyond that it was a Jegulus-fan-fuelled creation.

You weren't here for the day we named them. Or the day I posted the 7th ever ao3 fic about them (might show as a diff number now bc of back-dating) after the other creators told me to even if it didn't get any kudos. Or the day we finally got a bit of Evan fanart that wasn't that one singular brunette Evan deviantart piece because we were the ones who decided that he was blond. Or the day I helped create the tumblr tag. Or the day I looked on in horror as TikTok discovered them and decided they had made it (my DMs from that day are crazy).

You don't have to like Jegulus obviously, I can't force you to do shit... but I do get personally offended when people talk shit about them and hate on Jegulus content creators, then say that they want more rosekiller fics bc...you wouldn't HAVE Rosekiller fics without us, babe. Be nice and you'll be rewarded.

Anyway fandoms are ungrateful now and I don't like it 😔 I had to make the walphemia ao3 tag (with my baby Jude ❤️) bc there weren't any fics and you're complaining that you 'only' have a few thousand? Hmm
