As much as I'm a Pharma apologist he is genuinely an asshole who acts completely unrepentant so something I think about for an eventual Pharma redemption fic is like. How do you write a redemption for a severely traumatized guy whose coping mechanism is to act like he doesn't care and the people who need to accept him don't like/care about him enough to go "hey it's okay everyone gets a second chance" and/or "wow Pharma is so radically different what caused that change."

But also like it's really hard to help someone who has no desire to/refuses to be helped and makes himself deliberately unpleasant to be around so like idk

Imagine The Bots/Con Finding Out Silas Is Your Uncle

(A/N: Aaaaw thank you, dear!)

Bumblebee:

when Silas spots you across the field, guarded underneath the fire of the Autobots yellow scout, his eyes are wide and he calls a cease fire

Bee is understandably confused, but he doesn't let his guard down for a second; he still remembers what they took from him last time, and he'll be damned if they take something more special which is you

Silas has that stupid smirk on his face that you so badly have always wanted to punch right off, but never could because, as per your mothers scolding, that's impolite and very bad; well suck it mom! you're going to punch that smirk all the way to the stars!

Silas goes on about how unexpected this is, and yadda yadda, really you're not listening, too busy being utterly annoyed by your uncle to properly listen, however, Bumblebee is hearing every word of his speech and he can't believe it

the bot had no idea Silas was your uncle, though that explains your unknown guilt and distance when he had his t-cog stolen, but still

he beeps down to you, and when you look up to see his questioning blue optics, any hate filled attitude towards Silas is wiped away by immediate guilt

you know you should have told him before, but it's not exactly easy to tell your s/o that it was your uncle who stole one of his body parts, a very vital one at that

Bumblebee doesn't give you time to think up an explanation or apology, because within seconds he's taken hold of you and transformed, driving away faster than he ever has before with you tearing up in the cab

Silas goons are ready to shoot, but he calls them off, saying they'll see you again

Dreadwing:

Dreadwing glares at Silas, blasters ready to fire at the man pinned beneath him

the horrid man thought it would be smart to ambush him in the sky, but with all of his followers planes crashed in the forest they now reside in, it seems it was not such a good idea

but then something happens that takes Dreadwing by surprise and it takes all of his will power not to completely blast the human males head off; Silas calls you from your hiding place, telling you to introduce your uncle to your friend before him

Dreadwing only glances for a moment in your direction, not wanting to drop his guard, but it was enough time to see the way your brows furrowed and your shoulders stiffen

Silas uses your ashamed silence to his advantage, spouting about how you would choose something cold and foreign over your own flesh and blood; a traitor not only to your family but your race as well

Dreadwing knows that Silas is getting into your head, his heightened hearing can hear the desperately held back sniffles, and while shocked himself about this whole revelation, hearing someone talk about you to like this is way worse

the Con fires his blaster, startling you and Silas, who looks to the giant, burning hole in the ground just beside his head, not noticing Dreading gently taking you in his servo and leaving till he heard the loud roar of his engine

high in the sky and alone, now would be the perfect time to talk about your relation to Silas, but from the way you hide behind your folded arms and legs, and the sound of your quiet sobs, Dreadwing can only think in conflict because he himself knows the importance of family and while his own brother didn't call him such harsh things, he knows what it's like to lose a family member

Optimus:

Optimus isn't all too surprised with having been ambushed by MECH, but what he is surprised about is Silas demanding that his s/o get away from him that instant and come to him; like a parent calling to a child, except in this case it's an uncle calling to his siblings kid

your response is to flick him off and tell him to suck it and that he's not your dad, to which the villainous man can visibly be seen struggling to keep it together; is that a vein showing up on his head??

if any of the other bots were here, they might find scene somewhat comical, but Optimus does not; he's not easily humored and while he just found out the shocking reality that his s/o is related to MECH's leader, he's still much more concerned with your safety

Silas chooses to ignore your vulgar comments towards him in favor of directing his attention towards Optimus; spouting things like what did he do to you, if he thinks he can use his family against him he's no better than the man he fights right now, and other things such as that

Optimus is prompt to state he had no idea that you two were related, and that you choose your own path in life

Silas really gets the Prime though when he questions if he ever thought about your safety when agreeing to be in a relationship with you, or if he just went with selfish desires

there's a pang in Optimus spark, something that you notice before the galaxy itself can, and quickly throw a smoke bomb, a tool given by your favorite Wrecker, right before your uncles feet and his followers around him

once the smoke has cleared and Silas is able to get control of his coughing, he sees you disappear through a ground bridge in the cab of the large peterbilt

one of his soldiers suggest going through, but Silas can only wickedly grin as the green glow fades with the portal before him, knowing he struck a bad cord within Optimus
