I'm just saying, Orym knows something about being stuck on the death of your first love. Of being constantly reminded of them and their death, seeing signs of them every day, making it that much harder to get over them.
But now he has found a new love, and despite the seeing Will several times, being reminded of him every time he looks at the moons or swings his sword, he is ready to move forward. "It's pretty great, living a lifetime." He wants to try again.
If anyone would have some wise words for Keyleth to help her get through this, it would be him.

It's looking like there's a growing divide between Campaign watchers and Tlovm watchers in terms of like. We're here for the characters. 12-episode seasons aren't. They can't be. I'm already making peace with everything we'll lose in the Mighty Nein show, and I know I will enjoy it for what it is but I also know that almost nothing that made the story so special will translate to the screen, because turning it into a show automatically means (in this day and age) that plot must be the number one priority. They've already come out and told us it's going to be different, the characters we know and love but new stories.
Because that's how this has to work. And I feel bad for campaign one lovers, because while it is certainly the easier of the two to translate to a big, overarching story, even though it's a more "traditional" high fantasy story with easier archetypal characters, the archetypes and the plot aren't what cemented most people's love for the campaign. So much of the love for critical role is stored in the interpersonal dynamics and the payoff that comes from hundreds of hours of tiny interactions that one day become cornerstones of development and even affect or dictate the plot.
There's no room for that. There's no room for Bard's Lament in a story that cannot afford to remove and replace a main character. A lot of tlovm is for people who have been here for all of campaign one. Most of it, however, isn't. It's for a new crowd. While CR may have creative control, you can bet your ass that there were months and years devoted to figuring out how to map a character-focused love of the show into a plot that hits the right beats to be viable in the show market.
And it worked. Tlovm has consistently high viewing numbers, and its popularity has brought and will continue to bring new people into the universe who have never interacted with CR previously. That's not a bad thing - imagine finishing your favorite show and discovering it has another FIVE HUNDRED HOURS of the equivalent of behind the scenes content. That's incredible for these newcomers. But man, it is in many ways a loss for us.

cannot believe we’ve gotten all of marisha’s pcs, laura’s pcs (slim margin by sending), liam’s pcs + majority of associated love interests, yet only scraps of the vaguest mentions of any travis or sam characters

A while ago I saw someone comparing Critical Role's Vox Machina to the Avengers and the Mighty Nein to the Guardians of the Galaxy and after rewatching GOTG 3 last night I have now fully realized how true that is

the absolute sinister vibes of marisha’s characters having crushes on laura’s characters for two campaigns and then in c3 laura’s character appears to have feelings of some kind only for marisha’s character to be like ‘we’re sisters :) just gals being pals :)’ like this is just textbook sapphic behaviour from all six characters

From all the little hints we’ve gotten so far about the Mighty Nein cartoon and the animatic clip, I think there’s a good possibility the show might be having all the backstories/session 0s be shown up front as the first few episodes. If that’s the case, I can see why they describe it as grittier and darker, because yeah, a lot of those backstories are ROUGH TvT especially as an intro

M9 Reunion thoughts:
- I was woefully unprepared for Beau finding Imogen attractive. I am deceased.
- Fearne and Laudna would love the Blooming Grove so much
- Beauyasha in an open relationship discussion feeds fanwriters for moons to come
- I miss Veth but LUC
- I need a convergence of all three parties bc: Beau, Yasha, Imogen, Fearne. Jester and Fearne. Fearne and Caduceus. Fjord and Chet meeting. Scanlan and Jester meeting. Vex being endlessly amused. Percy being endlessly annoyed. Keyleth and Caduceus and Pike meeting. Yasha and Grog arm wrestling.
- Just imagine how worried all the regular Sending receivers are rn at the sudden peace and quiet in their minds :(
- Aggy was hilarious. Does anyone know if he lasted long than Spurt??
- Beauyasha moments for the win!
- YASHA DOING 160 POINTS OF DAMAGE IN ONE HIT?!!!!
- okay, but Caleb having to relive that trauma made me so upset. If someone did that with my mother I’d burn the world around them to ash
- is Essek okay?
- Cad’s Divine Intervention was AMAZING
- Luc was amazing! The Enlarge on the T-Rex was epic. Great dnd choice.
- Laura’s dice mostly love Imogen but hate Jester when it matters 😭 but Marisha’s dice hate Laudna and love Beau lol
- FORJESTER PROPOSAL IM SCREAMING CRYING EATING DRYWALL
Final thoughts: now that the M9 knows of the threat ruidis poses, I hope we get more cameos in campaign 3 with them. Imogen deserves the chance to meet Beauyasha. And so does Fearne. I hope we get a wedding oneshot sooon! I’d also love to see more of Luc. I was hoping we’d see the Wildmother send both Fjord and Caduceus the same warning the Changebringer and Dawnfather sent FCG and Deanna, hopefully that’s expanded soon.

oh it does make my heart weak that Molly and Jester both draw…Jester sharing her paintings with everyone, but only realizing Mollymauk is an artist too after he’s gone. Molly who drew everything in secret and never told any of them. Jester breaking down crying when she actually goes through the tarot deck and, “she realizes that’s Molly’s art.”
Thinking of one day when Kingsley and Jester are just sitting on the deck of their ship together sketching—

I've considered the prevailing opinion a lot of folks seem to have that yasha never rages anymore and there's some fun in asking when is the last time in her life she's gone six months without raging, but I can't help it. It feels disingenuous to the whole story of her finding and claiming her own strength and purpose to relegate her rage to something as simple as a symbol of trauma. I don't think it's been six months since she's raged. I don't think it's been six days. I think a free and happy Yasha is a passionate Yasha who puts herself entirely into everything she does and I don't really think the veggies get a free pass, yanno. I think she rages when she's excited and she rages when it's going to impress a bunch of kids. She rages when the lasagna bakes all the way through for the first time and when she bangs her hip on the edge of the kitchen table she raged to cut from the wood herself.
Yasha's story was never about healing from her rage or turning away from violence. It's always been a part of her and it's part and parcel with the strength she's proud of. She was never only strong because she had to be. She was always strong, and also she had to be. The fact that she gets to choose - narratively, because she's free, and mechanically since her rage is now indefinite - is all that matters. She didn't get those scars from gardening, and she didn't get a Chainbreaker tattoo in memoriam of a purpose and a role as the avatar of the stormlord that she'd only just embraced when we last saw her.
We got a glimpse into their lives. That's all it was, a glimpse. A random day in which happiness looked like rubbing Beau's feet and picking flowers from their garden. There are so many ways to find joy every day and I don't see any reason that what brought it out in her before - what she could do, who she could be on her own terms with all of her might at her own control - should be completely discarded in favor of viewing all of her accomplishments as synonymous with trauma and things to be left behind. It just doesn't track to me.
