Hey! Just curious what was that event on puzz reve? Yknow the ones where takemichi meets the Haitani brothers? I think they were wearing crow like cloths. I just waved to know the plot cus I missed it :')

Ok so it starts with Takemichi and Hina attending the festival together and saying how cool it is but that there are also shady looking guys around. Then Hina thinks they should get some shaved ice together and wants to go together but Takemichi says he'll get some for her and she can grab a table. So the two of them separate and Takemichi goes to get the ice. But while he's doing that he sees a guy being beaten up by Ran. This guy runs into Takemichi and begs him for help, Ran thinks Takemichi is this guy's friend and wants to fight him too. Takemichi says he isn't this guy's friend but Ran doesn't listen. After a quick fight Ran realises Takemichi isn't this guy's friend and complains Takemichi didn't say so earlier (lmao). Takemichi then suddenly remembers Hina and says he has to go, Ran is interested after hearing she's Takemichi's girlfriend and follows him. But Hina isn't at the benches, Takemichi's confused and Ran laughs because he thinks she ditched Takemichi.

Then onto part 2.

Takemichi tries to find Hina but then his phone starts ringing. Hina's calling him and explains she found a lost kid so left to return him back to his parents and that she's now by the DJ booth. Takemichi, still being followed by Ran heads over to the DJ booth where he finds Hina crying while standing with Rindou. This makes Takemichi very angry and he immediately charges over to Rindou to fight him for daring to make Hina cry. Hina manages to stop the fight though and explains she wasn't crying, she just had dust in her eyes. Because of this she couldn't open her eyes and accidentally bumped into Rindou, she was standing with him because she was apologising to him. Rindou just seems confused by this whole thing and says he didn't do anything, this makes Ran laugh that Rindou got blamed for nothing. Rindou then complains that Ran didn't help him but let's Takemichi off the hook because the DJ set is about to begin, they then walk off. Takemichi apologises to Hina for trying to fight Rindou but Hina was actually touched that he would stand up for her like that. And it ends with the two of them going to get more shaved ice together because Takemichi lost the ones he already bought.

SO, I'm going to consolidate these two asks into one, but I'll give longer answers for the prompts with whatever f/os I think of~ it's kinda long but hey, you don't follow me for my brevity…I hope 😂

✈️ - where are you going?

To the Outer Banks in North Carolina! I dunno which area specifically, but somewhere close enough to the beach AND to all the little shops.

The household would take yearly vacations and I like to think we'd visit a place from most everyone's respective sources at some point (I think maybe some would be too dangerous or otherwise just…not ideal vacation spots fkdjgj). But this year I picked the place! There were only a few complaints because hey, wtf gives, aren't there several rich people living in this house? Why aren't we going to Fiji or some shit?? But eventually everyone would concede cause I love the place, so~

Also for the sake of convenience, I'm pretending that singular vacation homes exist that can house 30+ people who all get their own rooms fkdhfjd

🗓️- how long are you staying?

Alright everyone can quit their bitching (affectionate) because while we aren't spending all our money to vacation somewhere fancier, we WILL use it to extend the time we're staying there longer than a week like we usually do. Maybe like two weeks, or three. There, now we can make up for all the time spent unpacking the absolutely monstrous pile of luggage and groceries for everyone staying here gkdjgj

🎟️- what are you most excited to do?

Well I know I'm most excited to be swimming! I only got to swim in a pool a grand total of ONE TIME this ENTIRE SUMMER so damn it I'm gonna get my fill! 😂

Most everyone would be happy to join I'm sure, though how they spend their time in the water would probably vary a lot. Fenris or Aizawa would probably just hang out at the steps and be mildly bothered by someone like Midna or Yoshimitsu who are maybe (accidentally?) smacking people in the face with an inflatable ball a little too often (…it's Kohga, he's people KFHSJF) You won't catch Sir Dan swimming though, he'd sink like a rock fsjfg

Also everyone's gonna be subject to my summer playlist whether they like it or not fshdkjf (Actually I think some of them would recognize the summer-sounding music I handpicked from their source and be flattered or just happy to hear something familiar >u>)

The more high-energy ones like Pit and maybe Link would be down for all kinds of stuff - swimming, exploring the sand dunes, doing…I dunno, mini golf or whatever other kind of family activity places they have out there dkjfg. Link would maybe only cheat a LITTLE at mini golf by using Rewind on the ball when he overshoots but Mr. Hell catches him and almost goes demon-mode chewing him out over it…cause he's been losing badly cause he's too tall for everything. And then Pit calls HIM out because he's been getting his chimimoryo to screw everyone else up instead by diverting their ball or becoming extra obstacles and then they probably end up getting themselves kicked out cause they're all yelling and causing a disturbance kdsjfhg

Most everyone else would just be happy to finally have time to chill and do nothing, since ordinarily they've got a lot to take care of on the daily. Some of them would take a little more convincing to just let loose and not worry so much (Maxie, Miles, Raiden - none of them know how to fuckin relax kjsdfhg) but eventually they'd come around. Of those, I think Miles especially would be disappointed when it's time to go home because it means he's gotta go back to dealing with the antics of everyone who can't seem to keep themselves uninvolved with murder. (or hey, maybe one happens at the Golden Corral we all sit down at one night and I rave for a second time about how we can't have a nice dinner without someone fucking dying fjdhfj)

Then you have James who's trying to have some inkling of an itinerary for everyone, and dealing with the headache of Cortex insisting they squeeze in time for a casual little Turning Beachgoers Into Cinders till Sans steps in and yeets the lil fucker into the pool 👍🏻

💕- what’s something romantic (or just nice if they’re not a romantic f/o!!) that happens on the trip?

Not necessarily romantic (…??) but James and Cici visit a sex shop nearby and spend most of the time poking fun at all the cheap and badly-named BDSM gear based on 50 Shades (but they do eventually end up buying things… 👀)

Orbulon also somehow found his way there and has absolutely zero idea what kind of store it is or what any of the products are so you just hear him in the corner going "oooh, hmmm!" at all the vibrators or something. And then at some point he walks up to the counter and slaps a set of edible panties down and goes "How much for this oddly-shaped Earth confection? I'm quite famished from the trip here and I would like to eat it right away!" and the poor baffled cashier gets a new story to tell when they get off work (sorry that wasn't romantic at all, I lost the plot a lil bit KJHDFJD)

Something romantic I can think of that could happen is a candlelit midnight soak in the hot tub outside, but, uh… considering how many of my f/os would want to do that I guarantee there's (non-lethal) fighting over who gets to go in with Cici first. Catch James making a schedule of who gets which night and putting himself first for various reasons (he's the first one to ever join the house, he's basically the designated planner for this whole vacation, etc) and while Takumi is objecting because an incubus like James could literally seduce her into the hot tub whenever he wants so he doesn't NEED to be first, and Pit is trying to keep the peace by saying everyone will have time to relax in the hot tub, and Ghirahim is calling them BOTH out because they both get plenty of spa time at home… Midna's already in there holding Cici who's lost in the sauce and she's like "snooze, you lose, boys ✌🏻"

I’ve been playing this game over and over again the last couple of years. I’m sad I never got into it way back when the GBA was in it’s heyday, even though it’s my favorite system to this day. Konami definitely took a lot of inspiration from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow when building this, as it’s essentially that but with Shaman King characters and world added on top.

Some other points of goodness:

-The world Map is cool, and the places reflect areas in the series, even ones that aren’t directly seen/referenced in the anime

-Voice clips aren’t terrible, and you ignore the dub names pretty quickly

-The dialogue and character profiles in the manual don’t shy away from certain topics and remain true to the characters. The manual mentions Anna being Yoh’s fiance, Ren killing in the past, and that Faust hurt Manta in the past.

-Tons of spirits and Oversouls, including many that don’t appear in the anime.

In the same vein, there are lots of little shout-outs, including:

-O.S. Olmec Head appearing during the fight with Chocolove

-Bason + Hei-Tao(Black Raven) make a stronger O.S

-ICE MEN’s spirits and Peyote’s spirits can create the Viking boat and Phantasma Grande, respectively

-Main recurring enemies are different varieties of Oni, with the bigger ones looking like the Onis from the profile page in Volume 19

-”Passive” type spirits being Hyoi Gattai (Spirit Unity) and “Attack/Bullet” type spirits being Over Soul (Spirit Control) is a very cool way to implement the Castlevania Soul-style gameplay system

I’m sure I’m blabbering at this point, but I really love these games (the sequel not as much, for reasons). If you’re a fan of platformers, especially Metroidvania ones, these are well done. What do you think?

Chimimo - 2022

My boyfriend, his friend and I saw this show being advertised on Plex and on a whim decided to watch the first episode. They weren’t so amused but I was immediately hooked.

The story revolves around Jigoku-san (Mr. Hell) and his batch of adorable mochiesque demon spirits called the Chimimoryo, or Chimimo for short. They come to the human realm to turn it into a hellscape but are thwarted when they meet the three Onigami sisters. The Hell-natives end up boarding in the house with the sisters only to fail constantly at causing any sort of hellish chaos.

Mutusmi, Hazuki and Mei seem like three ordinary sisters but each has their own vices that cause Jigoku-san to question his own level of evilness. Mutsumi has a secret temper with destructive outbursts, Hazuki is a chronic, money-hungry drunk and Mei is a chore-shirking social media nut. These traits cause Jigoku a lot of trouble and he ends up being a mediator more than a trouble maker.

However, Jigoku’s boss constantly threatens him with fates unimaginable if he doesn’t complete certain levels of overtake within a specific time frame . Constantly, Jigoku manages to buy himself time whether it be through lies or deceit as he bumbles to get his goal achieved with the help of his Chimimo companions.

This anime takes on the episodic format much like American cartoons. It is split into two segments per episode, maintaining the story plot described while each part is a different obstacle. The art style is very simplistic but it does have a soft, sort of pastel appeal to it that I can see attracting a very specific type of audience. I couldn’t imagine a lot of people outside a niche group enjoying the visuals of this anime but please prove me wrong though.

Overall, it’s a mindless and entertaining watch that might garner a chuckle or two. My rating for this show:

7/10 - the sisters sometimes grate my nerves a bit and I wish the Chimimo were a little more the center focus sometimes.
