The Grand Ole Opry, of course, is a special place for any country performer. And, for Wynonna Judd, it will take on even more significance this year, because she was asked to host the venue's Christmas at the Opry concert, which will be televised on NBC. Judd said getting the assignment has been particularly meaningful, since she's had a difficult time coping with her mother's death last year.
Christmas at the Opry will air Thursday, December 7 on NBC and start streaming the following day on Peacock.

The Transformation of Jana Kramer: From One Tree Hill to Country Music Stardom
Jana Kramer is a country music star who has overcome many obstacles in her life. She started her career as an actress, appearing in shows like One Tree Hill and Entourage, but she always had a passion for singing. She released her debut album in 2012, which spawned the hit singles “Why Ya Wanna” and “I Got the Boy”. Released her second album, Thirty-One, in 2015 and was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
However, behind the scenes, Jana Kramer was struggling with her personal life. She went through three divorces, one of which involved domestic violence, and another one of which involved infidelity and addiction. She also suffered two miscarriages and dealt with postpartum depression. Despite these challenges, Jana Kramer never gave up on herself or her music.
She recently announced her engagement to Allan Russell, a Scottish former professional soccer player and coach, who is currently working for Norwich City FC. She is working on her third album, which she says will be her most honest and vulnerable one yet. In this article, we will explore how Jana Kramer has turned her pain into power, and how she has found happiness and healing in her journey.
From Acting to Singing
Jana Kramer, born on December 2, 1983 in Detroit, Michigan, USA, had a passion for music from a young age. However, she did not pursue it professionally until later on. Initially, she pursued acting and successfully landed roles in several TV shows and films. Jana gained popularity for her portrayal of Alex Dupre, a troubled actress and singer, on the hit show One Tree Hill. While working on the show, Kramer got the opportunity to showcase her singing talent as well.
She recorded several songs for the show’s soundtrack, including “I Won’t Give Up” and “Whiskey”. She also performed live at the CMA Music Festival in 2011. Where she received a positive response from the audience and the industry. After being inspired by her personal experiences, Kramer made the decision to pursue a full-time career in the country music industry.
This led to her signing a record deal with Elektra Records in 2011 and subsequently releasing her debut single, “Why Ya Wanna” in 2012. The song was well-received, achieving the third spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and number 52 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Additionally, Kramer’s success earned her a nomination for Top New Female Artist at the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards. In 2012, Kramer released her self-titled debut album, which debuted at number five on both the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and the Billboard 200 chart.
The album received positive feedback from both critics and fans, who praised Kramer’s vocal abilities, songwriting skills, and versatility. The album also spawned two more singles, “I Hope It Rains” and “What I Love About Your Love”. In 2015, Kramer’s second album, Thirty One, came out. It had more personal and grown-up songs. The title of the album was her age at that time and showed how she had improved as an artist and a woman.
One of the songs on the album, “I Got the Boy“, became a hit and reached number five on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and number 24 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song was also nominated for an award at the 2016 CMT Music Awards for Best Female Video. Kramer kept performing at different events like Grand Ole Opry, iHeartRadio Music Festival, and CMA Country Christmas.
She also took part in season 23 of Dancing with the Stars in 2016, where she danced with professional Gleb Savchenko. She impressed the judges and the viewers with her dance skills and made it to the finals, finishing in fourth place. Kramer has not released any new music since 2016, but she has hinted that she is working on her third album, which she says will be her most honest and vulnerable one yet.
She has also shared some snippets of her new songs on her social media platforms, such as “Beautiful Lies” and “Dammit”. She has not announced a release date or a title for the album yet, but she has said that it will reflect her recent experiences and emotions.
From Heartbreak to Healing: The Story of Jana Kramer
A Troubled Marriage
Jana Kramer met Mike Caussin, a former NFL player, in 2014 and got married in 2015. However, their relationship was not a fairy tale. Kramer revealed that Caussin had cheated on her multiple times and had a sex addiction, which led to their separation in 2016. They reconciled and renewed their vows in 2017, but the problems persisted. In 2019, Kramer found out that Caussin had relapsed and had been unfaithful again.
Kramer wanted to fix her marriage and went to therapy with Caussin. However, she ended up getting a divorce in April 2021 because of “bad behavior in the marriage, differences that couldn’t be resolved, and cheating.” She also got a legal order to keep Caussin away from her because he was “annoying and making threats.”
Kramer and Caussin have two kids together, Jolie Rae (4 years old) and Jace Joseph (2 years old). Kramer has said that she is focusing on being a good mother and co-parenting with Caussin.
A New Love
Kramer had not dated anyone publicly since breaking up with Ian Schinelli in the spring of 2022. However, she found a new love in her life, Allan Russell, a Scottish former professional soccer player and coach, who is currently working for Norwich City FC. Russell popped the question to Kramer after dating for half a year. The following month, they became parents to a baby boy, whom they named Roman James.
Before getting engaged to Allan Russell in May 2023, Jana Kramer had been married twice and engaged once. She was married to three different men: Michael Gambino from 2004-2010, Johnathon Schaech from 2010-2011, and Mike Caussin from 2015-2021.
She was also engaged to Brantley Gilbert in 2013, but they ended their relationship before the year was over. Kramer has said that Russell is “the most amazing man” and that he makes her feel “loved, respected, and appreciated”. She has also said that Russell has a great relationship with her children and that they are “one big happy family”.
A Healing Music
Kramer has expressed her emotions and experiences through her music, which she says is her therapy. She has written songs about her divorce, her new relationship, and her healing process. She has also collaborated with other artists, such as Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban, on some of her new tracks.
Said that her third album will be “a reflection of who I am now and where I’m going”. She has also said that she hopes her music will inspire and empower other women who are going through similar situations.
Social Media Presence
Jana Kramer is very active on social media. She uses popular platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok. She uses her social media to share her personal and professional updates, as well as to interact with her fans and followers.
Facebook: Jana Kramer has an official Facebook page with over 929 K followers. She posts about her music, her podcast, her family, and her lifestyle. She also........Read More

Hannah Ellis To Release 1st Full Length LP ‘That Girl’ on Jan. 12, 2024
Tumblr media
After a decade of writing hits for other artists and months of dropping new songs, Curb Records recording artist Hannah Ellis is poised to deliver her 1st full length album That Girl to the world on Jan. 12, 2024. As a lead-in to the album, Ellis has just released the poignant and deeply personal track, “Too Much & Not Enough”. Fans can now pre-add, pre-save and pre-order That Girl HERE and listen to “Too Much And Not Enough” HERE.  The Kentucky native’s highly anticipated debut boasts 13 original tracks all co-penned by the in-demand lyricist. From the clever wordplay of “Wine Country” and “Karma on the Rocks” to the raw vulnerability of “Someone Else’s Heartbreak” and the title-cut, Ellis’ first full-length LP reveals a seasoned songwriter fully embracing her small-town roots, her real-life romance, and her newfound artistic voice on every level. Ellis gives fans another glimpse into That Girl with “Too Much & Not Enough” – watch the official music video HERE. Caught between a contradiction, Ellis wrestles with public perception on the emotive track she wrote with Emily Weisband and Tofer Brown. Afraid of being one extreme or the other, the rising star reveals her insecurities and expresses her frustrations over the fine line women walk, never fully able to strike a balance between being themselves and living up to culture’s unrealistic expectations. The highly transparent statement closes her upcoming LP. A full track listing is included below. In addition to revealing the release date for her album, Ellis has launched an exclusive Wine Country Weekend Giveaway in partnership with Visit Napa Valley in support of her single, “Wine Country,” currently charting at country radio. From now through Dec. 18, 2023, fans can enter to win a flyaway to Napa Valley that includes airfare, accommodations, gift cards, exclusive Hannah Ellis merch and more. The songstress recently partnered with Lucchese to create a custom pair of “Wine Country” boots, and Ellis made an appearance at the iconic brand’s Houston storefront for a special performance to celebrate the bootmaker’s 140th anniversary. The appearance follows select dates on tour with Billy Currington and Carly Pearce.  Additional new live dates below. Pre-Add/Pre-Save/Pre-Order That Girl HERE. The Campbellsville, Kentucky-native’s voice — a mix of favorite flannel, sparkling pink wine and welcome — is the friend we always wanted. Whether pouring from a car radio or your phone, the act named to Rolling Stone Country’s “Artist To Watch” list reminds you big leaps often come as a series of small steps when no one is looking. Having paid for her University of Kentucky degree with her full-ride scholarship, she — with the full support of her family — started chasing her dreams. Like so many, that meant a self-financed EP, and moving to Nashville to begin the endless rounds of writers nights, meetings, making friends, and trying to find your way. Hannah paid her dues, kept her focus and kept moving towards something she was sure she felt and knew was right. The fresh-faced songwriter, who has 42 million career streams, has since written songs recorded by artists, and been featured as a vocalist on songs, spanning multiple genres, including: Russell Dickerson, Carly Pearce, FOR KING + COUNTRY, Emily Weisband, Cassadee Pope, FILMORE, and Sidewalk Prophets. The magnetic artist, who has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry multiple times since making her debut, has toured with Carly Pearce, Billy Currington, Gavin DeGraw, Dwight Yoakam, Devin Dawson, and many others, and has toured as part of the CMT “Next Women of Country” Tour. Ellis was invited back by her college alma mater to be featured in a national television advertising campaign about pursuing and achieving your dreams. Hannah is one of the “CMT LISTEN UP” artists to watch for 2023. Her current radio single, “Wine Country,” and recently released “Karma on the Rocks,” are available now. Read the full article

Kathy Mattea at Green Music Center?
Kathy Mattea fits nicely into the wife’s has-been country act of the 90s predilection. She was super excited to see Mattea would be visiting Northern California, and she jumped on a couple tickets before she found someone to go with. Once all her other country music-fan friends declined, I became the back-up plan.
Personally, I don’t know anything about Mattea’s music. I only know her name from a little project I did two decades ago. Back when the wife and I first started dating, I spent months sneaking her CDs out of her apartment 5 or 10 at a time, so I could rip all her music to MP3. And then at Christmas, I gave her a new-fangled tech-toy for Christmas – an iPod prefilled with all her music. Kathy Mattea was one artist I remembered from that project, largely because I had not heard her name ever before.
The concert was held at Green Music Center at Sonoma State University, a place neither of us had ever been. Pretty nice, comfortable facility that apparently has both an indoor and outdoor component. With the miniscule crowd in attendance, however, the concert was entirely indoors.
It also turned out not to be a Kathy Mattea concert, at all. Instead, Mattea was hosting the recording of a radio show called Mountain Stage. From what I gather, Mountain Stage is West Virginia’s answer to the Grand Old Opry… a radio show that has been running for decades on NPR. Each week, the show features 5 or 6 artists who play 3-5 songs apiece.
The artists were as follows:
Amber Rubarth – Decent singer/songwriter who apparently starred in a movie called American Folk.
Steve Poltz – He’s like a can of redbull on cocaine, a twitchy bundle of energy full of hilarious songs. He also had a role in Jewel’s music video for “You were Meant For Me.”
Karla Bonoff – Bonoff wrote a bunch of songs performed by Linda Ronstadt.
Chris Smither – Really fun rhythm and blues set by a guy that has put out 20 albums over the last 50 years.
Booker T. Jones – Holy cow, when the host mentioned his name, I did not put it together that this was the Booker T of Booker T. and the M.G’s. When I agreed to go to this show, I never thought I would get to see a legend play Green Onions.
I had a blast at the show, much better than expected going in. The wife didn’t get what she wanted, but Mattea did sing backup on a couple songs, which will have to suffice for now. I highly recommend checking out the show on the radio, which I believe will broadcast in October.

Christmas at the Opry brings together some of Nashville's biggest stars for the venue's annual holiday celebration. This year, the festivities are being hosted by Wynonna Judd, who's certainly no stranger to the Grand Ole Opry. As a member of The Judds and as a solo artist, she's been on that stage many times before, and she said, it's always a special feeling to follow in the footsteps of country music's all-time greats.
Christmas at the Opry airs tonight at 8/7c on NBC.

“The Winner“
Bobby Bare’s an interesting figure in country music. During the ‘60s, he was one of mainstream country’s biggest stars with not only his own compositions becoming country music standard but he was also very active in bringer more younger, more daring songwriters. He was an early champion of Kris Kristofferson and had a fair number of hits written by folkies like Tom Paxton. He was always solid Nashville, though, and would cut an album that had a Dylan cover on one side and a song making fun of, well, earnest, poetry-minded songwriters like His Bobness.
When the Outlaw thing came along in the ‘70s, he was one of the old guard (like Johnny Cash) who got thrown in with them without really changing his sound. He grew his hair out a bit and started wearing interesting cowboy hats but was still playing the same thinking man’s country music. This song comes from an album of songs written by poet/songwriter/jester Shel Silverstein called Bobby Bare Sings Lullabys, Legends, & Lies. It was released in 1973 and reached Number Five, his highest-charting album. It was recorded live in front of a few dozen friends, family, and general honky-tonk heroes and is one of the best things in existence.
It was re-released on 1976′s The Winner And The Losers. Country music used to do that all the time, and this was the same recording but cast in a different light with a collection of loosely related songs concerning, well, winners and losers. It’s also the album that “Drop Kick Me, Jesus” is on if you need to hear that.
Bare stayed a reliable chart presence through his last major-label album, Drinkin’ From The Bottle, Singin’ From The Heart in 1983, leaning heavily into the whole “thinkin’ man’s beer joint country singer who occasionally does songs like ‘Drop Kick Me, Jesus’ as well” thing. He more or less retired after that, releasing the occasional Christmas album before teaming up with Jerry Reed, Mel Tillis, and Waylon Jennings for the Old Dogs records. His son Bobby Jr. started making a name for himself on the indie rock scene with the same sort of smart, heart-on-the-sleave wiseass sort of stuff his dad championed. He also got the old man back into recording, starting with 2005′s The Moon Was Blue.
He’s still out there playing music for the smart guy on the crew when he’s three beers into a six-pack and hasn’t yet talked himself into an ass-whipping. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016, was re-inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2018, and came in third (duet with Peter Øien) in the 2012 Eurovision Contest. All of that is true.

Antioch Nashville TN is very accessible.
I love Antioch Nashville, TN, because it provides access to the best food, music, and beautiful attractions. Living in this location offers both benefits and disadvantages. Living here provides legendary music. This area has a live music scene, and it's built in its affinity for country music. So, whether you go to the Grand Ole Opry House, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, or you may want a more intimate spot, the Bluebird Café is a great place to visit. Nashville also has the best entertainment district, so you'll never feel bored again. It also has a lively bar scene for those who love a gimmick.
Concrete Contractor in Nashville, TN
The No.1 concrete contractor for your sidewalk or road pavement is Tennessee Elite Asphalt Paving. It's known to provide excellent work at a reasonable cost. There's no hidden charge, and the cost will be provided to you on the spot, so you will never be shocked by additional expenses that come out. They are 100% involved in every step of the paving project from start to finish, so there is no need to worry.
Ryman Park in Nashville, TN
Ryman Park in Nashville, TN, is a great location to see music's most iconic stage, where history is made, and legends perform. I like this place for private events and large groups where you'll get an unforgettable experience. Schools, clubs, companies, churches, and more activities are conducted here, and they return yearly to these group-friendly performances. Group ticketing is available for Opry at the Ryman, Springer Mountain Farms Bluegrass Nights, and Amy Grant & Vince Gill: Christmas at the Ryman. You can also explore this must-see landmark in Nashville and get ready to rock. For over a century, Ryman Park has continuously provided more fun to its visitors.
Nashville hires the first director of nightlife.
I read from Fox 17 WZTV Nashville that the mayor appointed the first-ever Director of Nightlife. This is the role that the city hopes to handle a slew of issues after the sun sets. The director will take care of the cleanliness, noise, and safety. Benton McDonough is the nightlife director, and his role is to serve as a key liaison to the neighborhood residents as well as the nightlife industry to address the issues. It is very reasonable to have this kind of position, and it will help maintain cleanliness and safety and avoid noise. With this position, things will improve regarding all these aspects. Read more.

On this date in music history…
December 20th
2006 - Procol Harum
Matthew Fisher, a founding member of Procol Harum won a High Court battle over who wrote their song '’A Whiter Shade Of Pale’. Fisher who played organ on the 1967 hit had argued he wrote the distinctive organ melody, but Mr Justice Blackburne ruled he was entitled to just 40% of the copyright, (rather than the 50% he was seeking). The court decided lead singer Gary Brooker's input was more substantial and Fisher's claim for back royalties - of up to £1m - was also rejected. For almost 40 years, the song had been credited to lead singer Gary Brooker and lyricist Keith Reid.
1999 - Hank Snow

Darin travelled with Robert Kennedy and worked on the latter's 1968 presidential campaign. He was with Kennedy the day he travelled to Los Angeles on June 4, 1968 for the California Primary. Darin was at the Ambassador Hotel later that night when Kennedy was assassinated.
