Keeping it a secret for so long has been torturous, but now that the game reveals are happening I can finally say that for the past few years I’ve been part of the player council for the upcoming DRAGON AGE: THE VEILGUARD!

Poor Barbatos. I swear the fandom is always gleefully taunting him with his fear of rats. So much of his fan content is rat related lol.

To be honest with you, I think Barbatos would know you were messing with him. That you purposefully chose a movie about a rat that cooks to make him crazy.

So it depends. If Ratatouille was genuinely like your favorite movie prior to meeting Barb, he would suffer through it for you. I don't think it'd bother him too much considering it's animated and fictional. If he was dealing with actual rats in his actual kitchen, well, that's a different story.

But if you just brought it to movie date night to deliberately get a reaction from him, then you might end up in trouble.

Depending on the type of relationship he has with you, at this point you could end up completely forgetting about movie night altogether. Because if you're being a troublemaker on purpose, he's going to take that as a sign that you need some attention. Things could quickly escalate into sexy punishment territory if you get what I mean.

But if you're not quite there yet with him and he sees that you're just kinda playing a prank on him, he'll probably smile indulgently and tell you that he would love to watch the animated rat movie with you. Then he'll distract you with kisses through the whole thing because who wants to watch rats cooking? Not him.

ooo that’s a good question… i guess jade for human trafficking or exchanging 1 Pair of Chains for another. i’m still kinda confused and iffy and don’t know how i feel about her bc i heard some people say it’s not true, it’s an exaggeration, etc & i haven’t gotten far enough in the game to know. or know enough about aventurine or jade’s lore. regardless the mention of human trafficking is a lot already so she’s already on my bad side

outside of jade is… dr ratio? which. sounds weird bc i actually do LIKE his character but… i won’t lie: some of his comments? his actions? rub me the wrong way

the way he calls people idiot… i know he only does that if ppl are squandering their potential and opportunities but. It’s really hard to achieve that potential when so much hard work is put into that. and there’s a lot of external circumstances that can prevent people from achieving that. so being called idiot for that… just rubs me the wrong way

for example: i have a sibling that struggles a lot academically. and he’s struggled for years. he’s improved a lot since he started but due to always playing catchup he’s gotten tired of trying. as a result, he kinda gave up at one point. my family and his teachers had to give lots of encouragement to set him up on the right track again. being called idiot (when my brother sees himself as one) would NOT help that.

another person that doesn’t try to reach her full potential because of outside circumstances: my mom. she’s always been real smart to me, and capable of pursuing higher education (all the way to masters). however, she puts more value to her family over her own education. and i don’t think she’s dumb for “squandering her potential” but. people just have different values. not everyone cares reaching their max. they just want to live and that’s okay.

finally, on the other side of the spectrum: me. i’m someone who’s been trying to reach his potential for YEARS. i worked so hard that it jeopardized with my mental health. consequently, i had to stop and focus more on myself than my education which. even now im still not used to. and while reaching my potential is important i think if i were called an idiot for no longer prioritizing that. it would hurt me </3

tldr: while i understand why dr ratio does what he does (he’s a scholar who’s goal is to cure the world of stupidity: make education universal) there’s people that aren’t in a position to prioritize that or care about education all that much. and yknow what? that’s okay. so long as you know enough to survive then it’s okay to not reach your max.

that doesn’t mean i dislike him. if anything, he’s all the more intriguing because of this flaw: but i won’t deny that it rubs me the wrong way. (it’s why im having my oc be his narrative foil and address this flaw: how not everyone values education the way he does, why, and how to decrease these factors. also how to ppl bc u cannot make ur goal be “spread education to the masses” and not know it w to communicate with them bc canonically: he struggles and he struggles HARD!!!

OML... it's tied between Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight! both of them have amazing dialogue and story just I like Knight's gameplay/visuals slightly more.

ALSO just peak batjokes content overall in both games! I cry everytime I think about them... (pic from origins)

So I may or may not have started watching another silly little show from the 90s. It kinda hit the sweet spot for me, with it having a fun gimmick while also being a detective show with compelling characters. I also feel like that clown meme looking at the mountain of episodes I still have to get through.

Also I'm going into this show completely blind so please keep spoilers out of this post; as of posting this, I have just finished ep 193! :)

Hot take (or maybe not idk) but people who refuse to watch the 03 anime adaptation of fullmetal alchemist miss a TON of important character moments and growth, as well as don't understand the characters as well as those who do watch it (I'm not gonna speak on the manga since i haven't read it yet). Brotherhood just doesn't have as many introspective moments with the characters as the 03 series does

I had to re-read aa4-1 for research purposes and... It is devastating how badly Apollo does not want this to be true. I see everyone say how he doesn't care at all about Kristoph, but genuinely it seems to me that he just keeps hoping that Kristoph will come up with some sort of explanation to make everything better. Even at the "Et tu, Justice?" line, he's not just asking Phoenix to testify bc he can, he doesn't have a choice. And while he's cross examining Phoenix, he's still referring to himself and Kristoph as a unit, and actually seems pretty prepared to turn on his client until Phoenix forces Kristoph to take the stand. I think the part that really secured this reading for me is "... Well Mr. Gavin? (Come on, say something!)" This is the last chance they have where Kristoph could turn it around, but he can't. And after the judge says he's sorry he had to see this day come Apollo's "Mr. Gavin... ?" reads to me as if he really can't believe it.

Now I'm not certain he cared about Kristoph as a person, but I do interpret his reactions as caring that Mr. Gavin, his boss who hired and pays him, committed a murder and is now being arrested.

There are points where I interpret it as him getting swept up by whoever happens to be standing next to him. I think this is reasonable considering the situation. The man who mentored you vs your long time idol is complicated. Which side do you choose? So he chose to follow the facts and the evidence.

I dunno, I just felt like crying about it after everything, and I can understand the popular interpretation, I just personally interpret it differently. (And I like this option bc it is more fun to explore.)
