"Nobody would ever say something insensitive about X physical condition like they do Y mental condition" "Nobody would ever be racist towards X like they are towards Y" "No one would ever dare treat X religion like they do Y religion" "X gender/sexuality are never treated the way Y gender/sexuality are"
What if we stopped playing Oppression Olympics. What if we started showing some solidarity. What if we just stuck to describing the problem instead of detouring around to shit on someone we think isn't oppressed enough. What if we stopped making sweeping judgements on what issues other groups of people do or do not face based on vibes.

this may sound odd, but V9 really should have leaned heavier on the fairytale aspect. the girl who fell through the world, a fairytale the whole group was familiar with, is a story about a girl who traveled through the ever after to make it back to remnant successfully... except that's not what really happened. alyx didn't make it back to remnant; instead, she was killed because she wanted to fix everything that she had broken, but in the progress broke her promise to the cat.
team rwby wanted to save everyone in atlas. to an extent, they succeeded, but not everyone made it, and those who did make it to vacuo are now without a home to return to, and despite the lengths they went to to save penny's life, she too died.
and so did they. not literally, but it's what they thought falling meant, and with no guarantee they would make it back to remnant, for the people still there they very well might as well be.
i'm not explaining this very well, but like. they all should have been dealing with the aftermath of atlas; how they failed in some aspects, how if falling really had meant death, this would have been the end of road for them, how by taking so much on their plate to "fix everything", they didn't pay attention to "the cat they'd made a promise to". how even the fairytale with a happy ending that seemed to be based on a true story, in reality ended in tragedy.
the real world isn't like a fairytale, but "that's why we're here, to make it better"; but one can't bend reality to their will and expect perfect results just because what you're doing is good. sometimes, bad things really do happen for no reason, but by keeping your focus on small things (like helping a mouse to its food source) and minimizing risks, you can hopefully avoid the worst of it while still making a difference.
just, like. tying the threads between what happened in atlas & the girl who well through the world tighter together, creating a point of discussion that drives change in the characters, if that makes sense?

nothing ever excites me more than a spontaneous genshin, or more particularly, mondstadt discovery. i sat diluc upon the barbatos statue as a nice spot to go afk on without being interrupted by repetitive idle animations and voicelines (sorry diluc, this is nothing personal). my volume was turned up more than regularly by accident, and my in-game music was off despite how much i like the original game soundtrack. aNYHOW- i was about to go afk when i heard some strange noises that i didn't recall hearing in mondt before. it made me pause and turn my volume up even more. in the video above, it's kind of hard to discern the brief sounds over the noise of the wind up on the statue and in mondstadt in general, but when the wind dies down a little, you can distinctly hear voices of people, and what shocked me the most – neighs of horses. i have no clue whether it is just me discovering this only now, after 4 years of playing this godforsaken game and clearly not having paid enough attention to mondstadt's sfx before, but i still felt the need to share this terribly interesting tidbit in case there's other clueless mondstadt enthusiasts like me.
#what makes me so curious about these sfx is my inability to discern the meaning behind them#the sounds in the clip can only be heard during the night‚ which inserts various questions into my head#first and foremost‚ the sounds obviously confirm the existence of horses in mondstadt. the horses that AREN'T THERE in the current timeline#the horses that PHYSICALLY have no space for them within the city‚ but that's a problem of a different kind that i want to touch upon later#what makes their situation even more curious is that they're only heard during the night‚ with no trace of them during the day#so‚ my question is – surely they wouldn't add this specific sound if they didn't plan on introducing the horses in-game at some point?#even if there was no mentions of horses in genshin whatsoever‚ except in the manga which is set prior to the game's events#aka the timeline before the beginning or during the early stages of varka's expedition considering seamus's presence in mondstadt#and if that is so‚ is the peculiar activity of horses only at night a result of them being out of the city alongside the kof during the day#next curious thing to me are the voices and shouts‚ most likely in chinese‚ that i cannot discern and that i found nothing about online yet#however‚ in my opinion‚ the shouts seem too loud for the peaceful‚ post-stormterror crisis atmosphere of mondstadt#most of the words sound as if they're spoken through a megaphone‚ repeatedly‚ like call-outs to something or somebody#and not at all like shouts of people‚ regular citizens‚ from within their homes‚ or those of random drunkards on the streets at night#during daytime‚ the chatter is more coherent and distinctly chinese‚ words they clearly didn't bother translating to other voice-overs#another random and interesting sound is of something akin to a bell chiming‚ and i don't mean the big church bell tolling like in the clip#i am eager for feedback on this‚ for any sort of help or translation to sate my curiosity#and i'm also very much open to ideas or even random interpretations as i am overflowing with them‚ too#mondstadt#old mondstadt#genshin impact#genshin brainrot#genshin headcanon#genshin ost#genshin help#wilhelminaesque

it is important to note that community service is usually a punishment for criminals who have committed petty crimes. if criminals with a serious crime record are made to do community service, they do it while still serving a sentence of imprisonment.
but according to nate, war criminals should just be punished with community service. no imprisonment, no other form of punishment, just community service.
and even then, he mentioned that only hordak would be doing community service by cleaning up beast island.
catra doesn't get punished even though she nearly ended the entire world. none of the other people in the horde was even mentioned, even though they participated in the war.
truly a good and realistic representation on how to treat war criminals.

'instead of blaming third party voters, blame-' how about shut the fuck up. ill blame both, dont you worry, but every single person who voted third party or not at all, especially those who did so out of "protest", are even more fucking culpable because THERES ONLY TWO FUCKINH REALISTIC CHOICES. THIRD PARTY WILL NEVER WIN WITH THE CURRENT AMERICAN SYSTEM. and you KNOW how much suffering is already going on.... knew the damage caused by trumps first term and hos endless threats... yet you still chose to throw away your vote to 'protest'
you gained NOTHING and gave up EVERYTHING. when things get worse, i hope you lay awake at night knowing you only helped it happen. you chose the worse of two option. even if we didnt already have blood on our hands just by being american, youre sure as hell covered in it now.
yeah, ill blame the democratic party. but i blame all you idiots more.

Daredevil #266, Writer Ann Nocenti
I love this scene. Matt's really been through the wringer at this point (he nearly died, Karen left him, Mephisto fucked shit up) and, once again, the citizens of Hell's Kitchen come in to help pick him up when he's down.
I loved Nocenti's consistency in showing that Hell's Kitchen cared about Matt just as much as Matt cared about them. I've always found it so unnecessary when writers want to go out of their way to make it seem like Hell's Kitchen doesn't like Daredevil or what he does, especially when he's been around as long as he has.

My biggest take is that police are under no protection of anonymity in the police force specifically. Citizens, by nature of being a citizen, have the right to anonymity in any capacity that is not a direct threat to the law or other people. So many cops operate as though they deserve to be completely anonymous in the same way that an individual citizen can, and that's where corruption will be exasperated.

Hi moots and oomfs Im doing this but I need help
Squirrelstar is a kind and merciful cat known for her loyalty, bravery, compassion, and generosity towards her loved ones. In her youth, she was talkative, impulsive, and enthusiastic, which often led her into trouble. While she has matured and gained wisdom, she retains her independent spirit and can still be stubborn, impulsive, and occasionally harsh.
Ivypool is mature, logical, and very self-reliant, often choosing to handle things on her own without help. While she can be intense and quick to act, she avoids sharing her problems, as she doesn’t want others to feel burdened. Her quiet and private nature sometimes makes her seem distant or even harsh, but this is mostly because she keeps her thoughts to herself. Beneath it all, she genuinely cares, though her reserved approach can make her harder to understand.

Man i understand being annoyed at Americans in a general sense, especially when there’s some choice hypocrisy to yell about on this bitch of a website but it is frustrating seeing some of the posts drift by that are “””calling out”””” Americans for just. Reacting badly to a bad situation.
The internet was always a mistake in the sense that it allowed us to capture in realtime any messy reactions we have to anything, before anything like sense or logic have a chance to kick in. And it was more of a mistake when we learned to Process Via Posting.
But that really doesn’t change the fact that humans. when big bad shit hits us that we weren’t expecting for some god damned reason, we might spend some time feeling fucked up contradictory things and lash out about it a little. It’s not good but it really just is.
There’s shame and there’s anger and there’s guilt and indignation and hope and hopelessness and spite and despair. And i fucking get it when people see that and want to say “oh poor fucking baby let me play you the works smallest violin” but you really can’t expect us to thank you for that.
I’m angry. I’m sad. I went to work today and I had dinner and waived TV and I laughed at some god damn posts and then I had some other emotions and I’m still angry and sad and confused and anxious in ways I don’t understand yet.
I try to delete posts that I reblog and then realize are kinda Fucked because I want to be someone who doesn’t lash out but if the worst thing I’m doing when badly processing my emotions is reblogging a post with angry judgmental words, then fucking sue me.

Because he doesn’t have a job I assume so he doesn’t have any money#But theoretically if he’s like working for another freak and he’s getting paid or something#Idk guys I might be going a little bit bonkers… he’s helping me get out of art block at least#Oh I hope all these tags don’t accidentally show up in another tag that would be bad I’ve seen that happen#I’ve already typed so much though#It’d be funny if there was painis angst because I wouldn’t be able to take it seriously because his name is penis basically#Why am I only saying painis I’m going to tag him anyway#Painis cupcake#there#alright anyways painis cupcake angst would be fucking hilarious imo#My professional opinion#Mmhmmm I’m a professional in being stupid#My friends will call me spedpool on hallowen#I took 2 yardsticks in stem and I pretended to be said guy in the red suit I don’t want to tag him because I don’t want someone to#Find this unhinged rant about painis cupcake that got way off track woah#Ok continuing on the painis rant#I can’t draw him with pencil for some reason he looks so weird#I can draw soldeir just fine with pencil probably even better than online but whenever I try to draw painis he looks like a pile of dog shi#A moist pile the kind that would make steam if it’s cold outside#I feel like it he tried painis cupcake would really be a great functional citizen#Oh wow I wrote a lot my bad

the most annoying people are those people that are so critical of a movie to the point that if you even like the movie or simply don't like it, they throw a fit and go on an essay-length rant about how your own opinion sucks.

“The Moon Warrior,” Marvel 85th Anniversary Special (Vol. 1/2024), #1.
Writer and artist: Yuji Kaku; Special thanks to Ken Kunito
#Marvel#Marvel comics#Marvel 85th Anniversary Special#Moon Knight comics#Tsukikage#I can’t believe my inability to read Kanji is haunting me even in Moon Knight comics (not even the first time that’s happened on this blog!#you know and maybe this is just my personal academic/professional background talking#but I find the personal reasonings people come to on why they’re against either totalitarian regimes or extremist ideologies#to be of endless interest#because obviously it’s critical that people come to understand how it’s immoral and consequently detestable#for a government or some other individual/s who hold/s power to abuse their authority and not respect people#based on the latter’s inherit worth as a human being#but when it comes to people actually living under such institutions…opinions can be diverse#sometimes tyrannical regimes get toppled not (only) because they’re being punished for their human rights violations#but also because they transgressed against something else#(like the elite or the military or in this case their citizen’s sense of honor)#it’s imperfect but in this world full of imperfect people it would be truly miraculous to execute a morally perfect revolution#not to make excuses#just making an observation based on what I’ve studied#but anyway here we are again with a Moon Knight unable to die well trying to atone for the crimes of the master he used to serve#(and the ones he committed during his service)#and all this to say#gosh I love that first panel on the last page#VERY much Kaku sensei’s style
