It's a weird feeling to be learning to be myself in my 30s. Like an awkward teen learning to be a conscious part of the world around her.

Suddenly conscious of how my body looks and how it's changing. Happy that I'm gaining weight for once in my life, but hit with unspoken social expectations of femininity.

Add to that how transwomen are perceived in this country and it becomes and ever growing pile of stress. And yet, I have never been happier to be my awkward self.
