I need more fics of shadow milk fighting to protect reader... the amount of power a beast cookie holds is nothing like anyone has ever seen

all the beast cookies are powerful, each one of them able to fight off anyone who dares to challenge them. but shadow milk is the strongest out of the five beasts, he was the leader before their fall and still remains as such even today because of this.

I just really like the idea of him being all playful and sassy with his enemies when they try and challenge him. battles between his foes are nothing but games to him. they tend to bring him a moment of entertainment, enjoying the thrills of a good magical duel!

but the minute you get thrown into the fray?

there's no laughter.

no smart quips that shadow milk throws out every now and then.

there's nothing but pure, unadulterated rage at the sight of his beloved being harmed. he practically teleports in front of them, his body acting as a shield as he wastes no time in unleashing dark, powerful magic upon the poor fool who had dared to hurt you.

he makes no loud exclamation upon seeing the enemy defeated. he's quick to return to his lover's side, checking on them to make sure they're not gravely injured.

he's still full of anger, but there's an uncovered amount of concern upon his face. it's... a very rare sight to see from the deceitful jester.

i was sort of wondering why exactly i've been sympathising with Eva so much, apart from, admittedly, bias- i did start considering that due to that, maybe i'd been internally exaggerating how Wolfgang & Co had been treating her. but i replayed some of Chapter 1, and honestly? now i'm of the opinion that Eva was justified to be afraid of Wolfgang, even if what she did in response was inexcusable.

because it wasn't just that Wolfgang told the others to be wary of Eva (and Damon) which caused them to feel othered. consciously or not, he literally attempted to control their movement on at least two occasions- when he attempted to stop them joining in on the exploration of the pharmacy, and then when he demanded to know where they were when they reached the dining hall last.

in his defence, i don't think Wolfgang was being malicious in doing so, i reckon he did genuinely believe he was protecting the others. but in doing so, for the two members of the group he disagreed with, he actively attempted to further restrict their freedom- in a situation where they're all already trapped!! i'm not surprised that Eva, with frustration, mentioned during the trial how much she'd been watched and suspected- multiple times, if i recall correctly. of course it got to her.

but that probably wasn't even the scariest part for her. it was probably just how easily Wolfgang had taken a leadership role within the group and how willing they were to listen to him without question. only Diana really spoke up against him on one occasion and got him to begrudgingly "allow" Eva and Damon to tag along. i mean, on that note, the fact that Wolfgang even casually commented that he wanted group decisions to be allowed by him, following the minor incident of Desmond taking initiative and checking the room locks, was extremely alarming!! like i mentioned, i don't want to villainise Wolfgang, but it does seem like he has the tendency to be rather controlling, whether or not he realises it. i would be willing to bet that the herd mentality implication was done completely on purpose, considering that Wolfgang's animal motif is a sheep and the writing team have done the symbolism in the game so well.

for all this, i can understand Eva's point of view. i know that, as Wenona had mentioned, there's a chance that Eva didn't actually feel threatened by Wolfgang, but i personally am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. because if she was honest about being on edge, that would be a rather reasonable emotional response, in my opinion.

what else are you to feel when you're at odds with an honoured individual who effortlessly holds the power to turn so many others against you too and potentially put your safety at risk, if not terror?

My Sunday PSA for ADHD:

I am *constantly* seeing people talk about accidentally doubling up on their meds because they can't remember already taking them - or skipping them altogether just in case they did take them.

Seriously, guys, please think about getting the timer caps for your pill bottles. This has been a lifesaver for me when I grab my bottle to take my meds, remember I need to do something, set it down, and then when I see the pill bottle again I can't remember if I even opened the damn thing. This has happened enough that I can't count the times, and even if I could I wouldn't tell you because really, brain? C'mon.

This thing tells you exactly how long it's been since you opened the bottle and helps to keep you on track. These come in multiple sizes to fit virtually any pill bottle you already have, but they also come with their own bottles (and labels!) on the off chance they don't - and you can find them online easy enough.

Best part is these things can work for multiple people for different reasons. Got a forgetful parent or grandparent and want to make sure they're safe with their meds? Great gift. Have a teen in the home but you smoke weed and want to keep an eye on it? Perfect nug jar. Just curious about how long your adhd meds last before productivity goes down? Perfect timer.

Have teen children and worried they're going to access your Vicodin from that dentist appointment? Have a high fever and can't remember how long it's been since you took your last Tylenol? On day three of a depression streak and can't remember doing anything but staring at the wall? Can't remember how long it's been since your last birth control pill? Great purchase.

Just keep them in an area you are frequently and stop worrying (I keep my adhd meds right next to my computer, and my morning meds next to the sink in the bathroom). Get rid of the am/pm pill containers that no one remembers to fill anyways. Trust me, it is worth it.

In case I've inspired anyone, these are the ones I have, but there are other brands and styles out there from different sites if you don't support Amazon.

Sometimes writing isn't writing: it's just starting at a blinking cursor for two hours while trying to come up with a way to describe something that you're not sure happened in canon, but still feels largely in-character for who you're writing about. 🥲

Like I can't say for certain that Plo Koon had a lot of involvement/interaction with the initiates at the Jedi Temple, but he just feels like the kind of "calm and super chill figure who's (surprisingly?) good with children" individual that kids of roughly that age want to gravitate towards.

Child from one of the creches wanders in while Plo Koon's meditating (or preparing for a meeting with the rest of the Order) and just crawls into his lap, I don't think Plo would necessarily discourage it from happening? I think he'd probably be okay with it??

Ahh, I hope you get well soon! Being sick is the worst. And truly, I wish I knew why masks are no longer required in hospitals because they should be.

As for the boys, I can't help imagining them having some kind of group meeting about it.

Asmo: MC is sick! We have to do everything we can to make them feel better soon!

Lucifer: Perhaps if you all leave them alone for once...

Beel: We should give them soup.

Belphie: We should make sure they sleep enough.

Satan: Did you know that a cat's purr has healing properties?

Mammon: Nah, I'm actually with Lucifer on this one... nobody but me is allowed near MC's room!

Aaaand then it devolves into arguing. But once they get their act together, I think they'd overcome their differences of opinion in order to take care of you, each in their own way. I also like to think the side characters might step in to help, too.

Lucifer would check in on you when he's sure you'll be asleep. He doesn't want to disturb you, but he wants to make sure you're resting and not being bothered by his brothers. He'll glare down any of them that get too noisy near your room. Leaves random things by your bedside that he thinks you'll need (such as a box of tissues or a glass of water).

Mammon gets clingy as usual. He's the one who's always sitting by your bed. Almost every time you wake up, you find him there. Sometimes he's scrolling on his phone, sometimes he's just watching you, and sometimes he's straight up fallen asleep. Always asks you if you need anything. If you do suggest something, he goes out long enough to get one of his brothers to fetch it.

Levi brings you things to do while you're in bed. Piles of manga, all with your favorite kind of story. Video games, anime, anything to help keep your mind off the fact that you're bedridden. If you let him, he'll sit by your bed and give you summaries of the animes he's been watching lately.

Satan reads to you. If you request something specific, he'll read whatever you like, but he also knows your preferences so you can let him choose if you want. He might also try to sneak a cat in for the express purpose of using its healing purrs, but if he can't manage it, he'll have you watch cat videos instead.

Asmo obviously pampers you. Does your nails, your hair, probably gives you healing facials and the like. If he's there while Mammon is, the two of them banter back and forth, partly because it's them and that's their natural state, but partly on purpose to entertain you. Asmo will also bring you all the softest of pajamas.

Beel actually does bring you soup. He got help from Barbatos to make it - straight up brings you the most human world healthy soup he can, which varies depending on where you're from. If you're from the US for instance, he's gonna bring you chicken noodle soup. He ate half of it on the way to your room, but it's the thought that counts.

Belphie helps you sleep. When you're finding it difficult to rest because you feel like crap, he will snuggle up with you and ease your body enough that you find yourself drifting off into peaceful slumber. He will stay to keep any bad dreams at bay, too.

Diavolo will stop by the House of Lamentation to check on you. When he does, everyone leaves the two of you alone. He's quick to tell you not to worry about your responsibilities. It's more important that you focus on getting better.

Barbatos regularly portals himself to your side just to bring you healing teas and decent food. He doesn't trust the brothers to feed you correctly while you're ill, so he takes it upon himself to bring you what he knows you need. He will sit on the edge of the bed by your side and chat with you about what's going on at RAD and various other places, to keep your mind off of your sickness and help you feel like you aren't missing out. He also brings you fresh flowers to keep your spirits up.

Simeon also comes by regularly to tell you stories. Some of them he makes up on the spot, which are always fascinating and leave you hanging on every word. But sometimes he tells you stories about the Celestial Realm. If you ask him about the brothers, he'll tell you all kinds of anecdotes from when they were angels.

Luke sometimes comes with Simeon, too, and always with boxes of some kind of treat he's made for you. Another one who will likely bring you flowers or sometimes just things he's found that remind him of you or that he thinks you'll like. He's worried that you're stuck in bed and wants to bring some of the outside world to you while you're sick.

Solomon probably brings you some potions to help speed your recovery. He's not sure about how well any of them work, so you get to decide if you test them out or not. Either way, he's going to entertain you with some spells, especially if there happens to be a brother in your room when he visits. (For instance, he would probably curse Mammon to meow for a few hours just to make you laugh.)

Oops that turned into a mini headcanon thing, huh? Well it's not my usual format, but I just think they'd all have cute little unique things that they would do in order to take care of you.

Anyway, I wish you a speedy recovery, 🐈‍⬛ anon! And I hope whatever issues brought you to the hospital to begin with are resolved as well!

Really random question and this isn't like important or such, I'm just asking for some advice if anyone's got any (and this post will be full of rambling, sorry in advance <333)..... but does any of you here know any good methods or ways to learning languages in an actually fun way? I'm bilingual, but idk, I've always really liked other languages and languages in general. And I'd love to study and learn more of them, but oughhh....... I find it so difficult to study them and I haven't found an actually working method for it, like one that would actually help my impatient AuDHD ass to study, lmao

Like idk, I'd love to learn (well, more like "try learning again") Swedish, Russian and Polish. <333 "But what about French and Spanish?!!" you may ask and well, trust me, I would like to learn those too someday... sorry to tell you this, but lmao, I actually did try studying those when I was a lot younger. I studied French for like 6-7 years in school and Spanish for 2-3 years in school too...... And I learned absolutely nothing from them (due to undiagnosed autism + ADHD at the time), and I know nothing much of them anymore, lmao. I forgot everything. Like I don't even remember the basics anymore... I can tell my name though, like. Je m'appelle Roni. Me llamo Roni. Embarrassing as hell to admit this too, but I also studied Swedish in school (as it's an actual mandatory language to learn in school here usually when you're 13-16) and I don't remember much of that either. Jag heter Roni och jag är 23 år. Men jag är inte så god i talar på svenska, förlåt lol. Also about Russian: I actually tried studying that too ages ago but only for like few months, and I had to give up when I generally lost energy for studying in school anyways. I still remember very few Cyrillic letters though and uhhhh, also like.... one word (and only because I actually read it on a side of a train once while adventuring in Tampere's train station recently). Мурманск... which means Murmansk I think??? Lol, iirc it's one city in Russia-
