Thoughts on Kylo Ren (or as I like to call him, and annoy my friends with, Kyle Ron)?

Oooooooooooooo, what a TOPIC! (Kyle Ron is so funny to me, oh my god)

Generally, I feel like the character is interesting, but they only include the really interesting bits in the books and comics.

Movie Kylo is broody, sad, and full of rage, yeah, but we don’t bridge to that why. TLJ gave us the context of “Well, Luke’s moment of weakness drive him to it”, but that not even the full context because Luke himself admits he was being turned before that.

Ben Solo learned Darth Vader was his grandfather in a holonews video when it was leaked to the galaxy. His classmates started treating him like a freak. Kylo had a bucket filled with the ashes of the people he killed in his quarters. He knew Poe even before this all started.

I’m not saying any of that justifies the character’s actions, but we could have talked a little about them instead of hiding that in books. We needed something to bring the character put more from just “scary hot guy in mask really fucks shit up”.

All that being said, I have a tank top that say, “Kylo Ren is a Punk Bitch” and some of his snarky lines are my favorites in all of SW. I am truly the duality of man...
