Okay, so I’ve had this in my head for Andrew years. Maybe an AMV to Stressed Out by Twenty One Pilots with the BC main characters and how the imposters ruling has affected them and their clans. Y’know those lines in the song that goes ‘my names blurry face and I care what you think’ and ‘wish we could turn time to the good old days, when our mama’s sang us to sleep’ ? Okay well, the blurry face part could be a young shadow sight thinking he’s met a star clan cat (aka imposter ash fur) and when ever the song is to sleep part comes up, the amv flashes between the main three with their family’s all happy before turning to them all being worried.

If you love vampires, listen up!

Do you enjoy vampires, 80’s music, a healthy dose of homoeroticism - all with a theatrical flair? Well look no further, for I submit to you Dance of the Vampires.

What is it you may ask? It’s a musical about a vampire who seduces a girl and invites her to his midnight ball - an offer she simply cannot turn down. The whole thing sorta gives Phantom of the Opera vibes, but like, wayyy less creepy (despite it being a literal vampire). I will say now that yes, Tanz der Vampire (the original title of Dance of the Vampires), is in German, but there is a full recording with English subtitles on youtube, so please don’t let that prevent you from watching it. Now if you’re still reading, allow me to elaborate on the 80’s music and homoeroticism that I previously mentioned.

Let’s start with the tragic gay romance, because I’m sure that’s what you want to hear about first. While not a main part of the musical, the main vampire’s son falls in love with - gasp! - the vampire hunter’s apprentice. They dance together, and with stage magic involving a mesh screen and an actor on the other side dressed identically to the apprentice, it appears as though the vampire has no reflection in the “mirror”. Of course, the feeling is not mutual, as the apprentice is only at the castle to rescue the girl, who he is in love with.

Now, onto the 80’s music. Surely you’ve heard of the song Total Eclipse of the Heart, or the singer Meatloaf (even if it was just his role as Eddie in Rocky Horror Picture Show). Well, the man who wrote that song and a majority if not all of Meatloaf’s work, was Jim Steinman, who composed the musical. The soundtrack contains a decent amount of electric guitar, even a bit of synth at parts, and all around just sounds awesome. However, he only had about a month and a half to compose it all, so he reused some stuff he previously wrote, including a couple Meatloaf songs and Total Eclipse of the Heart, a song he originally wrote for a Nosferatu musical that ended up not getting produced. It was actually originally titled “Vampires in Love,” so what better song is there to fill the place of a big love duet between the girl and the Count?

Tanz der Vampire is my favorite musical ever. I’ve loved it ever since Count von Krolock appeared on the screen and first began to sing, and you may love it too. So I implore you. Please do yourself a favor and check it out. I’ll provide a link of a full recording with English subtitles here, but it should also be the first result on youtube when you search “tanz der vampire english subtitles.” (That production also has Drew Sarich as the Count, my personal favorite.) I should add though, do not watch the broadway production because it’s terrible.

If you’re still not sold, I’m not sure what else I could say to convince you, but hopefully you at least found this interesting and learned something new. If you want to know more about Tanz der Vampire or would like to hear about other musicals about vampires, please let me know and I can answer any questions. (If even one person watches it because of this I’ll consider this a success, and if you do watch it please let me know because it would really make my day.)

First time Rover heard you do it, you were grinding for echoes. It just so happened that Rover was a bit under-levelled at the time and you didn't have the sufficient materials to level them up, so you had to do what you had to do.

Improvisation was not on your side today. You almost killed Rover thirty times now. Frowning, you're putting on your gaming cap. To Rover? They find the grunts little unhappy noises you make a little adorable, aside from the fact they're always close to death whenever they happen (at least you take care of them, right?)

"Phew...That was close..." Rover chuckles as you head offline. "But the new grunt this time was interesting."

Aalto

Bro finds your habit funny but endearing. Similar to Rover, he understands whenever this happens, your concentration on keeping Aalto alive spikes over 100%. He appreciates it, because he does not want to be the one to skim all the details in front of Encore (her puppy eyes can kill him too)

Really, though, he finds it hilarious. One aggressive blow Aalto takes equals a very low and unhappy growl coming out of your throat, almost like you could scare the enemy away.

Ghost Rebel Side Notes: This isn't my best work tbh. My motivation for Wuwa has been decreasing and I'm not entirely sure why. I skipped Changli's companion quest, and I still haven't finished Xiangli Yao & Zhezhi's Companion Quests.

I'm a criminal psychology major who's working to be a criminal profiler, so I tend to have a lot of knowledge like this. But people always find it weird that I know all these things and joke about why i might know all of these things.

I think it would be interesting to hear your take on how Marc, Steven, and Jake would react towards a partner who's basically a true crime and criminal psych encyclopedia. Maybe having someone like that helps them hunt down bad guys better.

Asks you to teach him some of your expertise so that he can help him figure out some of the drives/mindsets of the people Khonshu sends them after.

Makes a whole space in the shelves in the flat for you to store papers and books.

Will watch true crime shows with you if you want and complain with you about any inaccuracy.

Marc Spector

Playfully calls you morbid.

But listens to true crime podcasts all the time, doesn’t tell Steven or Jake about it, but finds some of them quite soothing for some reason. He doesn’t want to think about why in too much detail, but he’s pretty sure it’s to do with hearing how awful some people truly have been and that what he’s done under the direction of Khonshu (basically getting rid of these people) isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Doesn’t want you to help them on anything Moon Knight related, “that’s what he’s for.” *Gestures vaguely in Khonshu’s direction*.

Khonshu calls your work, “Interesting.” And Marc nearly throws hands.

Steven fronts only to tell Khonshu that he will find a banishing spell for the flat so that the god can’t step foot in there if he keeps this behaviour up. 

Jake Lockley

Basically gets you to do criminal profiles for him. But doesn’t like for you to be out in the action if you have no training. 

(Even if you do have training he’s a bit unenthusiastic. “I have the suit, amor, yes? Why don’t you get a suit from another god and then we’ll talk.” Marc: “Do NOT do that.” Jake (100% teasing): “They could be Ra’s, then we’d have a sun and moon thing going on.” Marc is about to burst a blood vessel.)

Ask you to analyse horror movie characters for him. Is very serious when you ask and utterly delighted when you do.

Threatens Khonshu very quietly if he brings you up when Marc and Steven aren’t around.

Has a bit of a thing for you explaining things to him and has to fight with himself not to jump your bones most of the time.

Hello yes! I do kind of have a storyline of sorts! Mostly basic background info on what the au is about etc.

Mirabelle quite literally found Siffrin hiding under a rock! They are extremely unfamiliar with waters outside of where they come from. They don't know surface customs etc, So Mirabelle teaches them the primary language! Though being merfolk they also can communicate with little whistles and clicks etc. Mirabelle teaches Siffrin a lot about what places are safe etc. The two are basically inseparable until Mira is comfortable with Siffrin swimming off on their own and not getting themself into trouble!

Mirabelle and Siffrin live in a sunken ship together! They both like to collect any trinkets and shells they find! Nille and Bonnie are friends of theirs! (They live in a nearby underwater cave)

When Siffrin is in the middle of becoming fluent in vaugardian, they notice a boat above! Mirabelle explains the concept of humans to them and such. Siffrin, being a curious little fella swims up there and discovers Odile, who's a pirate captain, and Isabeau! Along with the rest of their crew. Siffrin, who likes giving gifts like shells to his friends, starts leaving shells for the crew in attempt to make friends with them. Isabeau starts collecting the shells because Ooo pretty!!

One day Isabeau catches Siffrin putting shells on the deck. They make awkward eye contact with each other and then Sif swims off. Isabeau tells Odile about what he saw, and against Odile's warnings about Sirens, Isabeau decides he's going to try to befriend Siffrin! (Which is very successful)

Isabeau definitely helped in Siffrin's ability to speak fluently. They tend to exchange gifts with each other!

I don't want to make this post ridiculously long so that's what I'll give you for now along with these last couple points of info,

Siffrin introduces Mira to Isa, they become friends

Odile finds out about Isa befriending merfolk and hesitantly over time warms up to them as well.

Odile tells Mirabelle and Siffrin lots of stories! She'll read books to Mirabelle

Siffrin lost their eye protecting Bonnie from a smaller sea monster. Nille killed said sea monster

Mirabelle was given a starfish from Siffrin as a sign of their friendship! Sif has one too! Siffrin also made the bracelet Isabeau has ❤️

Nille found Loop, known as Sandy, while gathering sea urchins with Sif and Bonnie! (I plan to make a mini comic page with this.)

Yes that's right. I made Loop a sassy albino sea urchin named Sandy that can talk. They sit on a crate in the sunken ship and make fun of and or give advice to Mira and Sif.

“what even was that?! you literally missed the entire target, jay” you laughed as you listened in on the occasional bickering coming from riki, jay and jake because of the game they were playing. heeseung scrolled through his phone, laughing at the trio every now and then. sunoo and jungwon sat and conversed amongst themselves while you and sunghoon sat quietly watching whatever the boys were playing in front of you, sneaking small glances over at each other. 

you invited all the boys over for your monthly, little hangout - or at least trying to make it monthly due to their packed schedules. you loved having them over even if that meant doing the same thing over and over again. you just love having them around. they are your best friends after all.

just as you were immersed in watching the game, you were suddenly reminded of the cookie dough you made the previous night that’s currently sitting in your fridge. “oh! i’m gonna go bake some cookies, i’ll be in the kitchen” you told the boys. 

“ooo i want cookies.” you heard sunoo say as you walked to the kitchen, feeling sunghoon’s eyes on you.

after setting everything up, you took out the cookie dough and started to roll it out on the counter. as you began, you suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist. already knowing who it was, you smiled and said, “hey, you.”

“hi, beautiful,” you turned your head over, seeing sunghoon with his head nuzzled against your neck, “what are you up to?”

“i’m baking the cookies i made last night, i literally just told you guys.”

“oh right, i was there.” sunghoon brought his head up to kiss you on the cheek.

“yeah you were,” you laughed, “shouldn’t you be out there with the others?” you asked, changing the subject as you were brought back to reality.

“i mean, i should…but i’d rather be here with you, my girlfriend.” he smiled.

you chuckled and shook your head, “we both know that i’m not your girlfriend, hoon.”

sunghoon moved over slightly so he could be next to you, his arm still wrapped around your waist, “well you're pretty much my girlfriend if you think about it, we very much act like one. which by the way-” he said, trying to meet your eyes only to notice that you're fixated on the dough in front of you, “hey,” he said softly to get your attention - which it did. your eyes meet his, noses almost touching. you slightly flinch, not expecting how close the two of you were “when will you say yes to being my girlfriend?”

you and sunghoon have an…interesting and somewhat complicated relationship. you weren't a couple but yet you also weren't just friends. you're not sure how this came to be but this has been going on for quite awhile - a little too long for your likings. if you were being honest, you’re waiting for sunghoon to make the first move - to which he says he is but he’s really not - because you were scared of doing it yourself.

it’s not like sunghoon hasn’t done anything for the two of you. in fact, he’s done quite a lot. he would buy you gifts, call and text you almost everyday, tell you how much he likes you and how he really wants to be with you. he’d also suggest the idea of being his girlfriend, but that’s about it. 

now, anyone would think that this is perfect as it is and tell you that you’re being unfair. you can’t lie, sunghoon is a great guy. there’s no doubt in that. the only problem however, is that you and sunghoon never go out. you barely spend any one on one time with him. quality time is something you value a lot especially in a relationship so of course you would want to be able to spend some time with him.

as much as it pains you to admit, you needed more from him. a simple “be my girlfriend” won't do the job for you. you needed him to show you that this is all genuine and that he truly wants you.

to make your situation worse, no one seems to know what you have going on with sunghoon. it's not like you were trying to hide it from them, you just have no idea how to even explain this whole thing to them. so you thought the best option was to tell them after you and sunghoon get your shit figured out. 

“when you take me out on a date,” you said, offering him a smile, “then maybe i’ll consider it.”

the two of you shared a moment of silence, just staring at each other. if anyone were in the room, they’d be able feel the tension and intimacy emitting off of you. sunghoon was the first one to break eye contact when he slightly shifted his gaze to your lips for a brief second before looking away and sighed, “i’ll take you out soon, i promise. i’ll make it special for us.”

“yeah?”

“mhm” he hummed, eyes meeting yours again. there it was again. the silence and the longing gazes. it was evident that sunghoon wanted you and only you. you can tell simply by the way he looked at you. the distance between the two of you got smaller and smaller, almost as if a magnet was pulling at the two of you. your noses brush against each other and you feel sunghoon’s breath on your lips. he gives you a small smile then cups your cheek with his free hand. he pauses for a second before softly pressing his lips against yours. you couldn’t help but smile into the kiss. but before you had the chance to kiss him back, sunghoon pulls away. “what? we can’t let them catch us, can we?” he said, backing away from you and moved towards the living room.

something about sunghoon’s words and actions made you feel a slight ache in your heart. there was nothing new with how he treated you. in fact, you were pretty used to it. it was natural for you two to tease each other. however, this time you were more hurt rather than amused. maybe it’s because the yearning you have for sunghoon is only getting stronger. maybe it’s because you’re growing tired of waiting. who knows?

the only thing you could do was nod at him, giving him a fake smile. “come out soon, beautiful” was the last thing he said before leaving you alone with your thoughts.

how much longer must you wait? is it going to be worth it in the end? yes. the answer will always be yes. as painful and frustrating it is, you know what you want. you know what you need and that is sunghoon.

Red: He really still thinks that somethings its wrong, that Green is maybe jusy having a silly phase, so he would almost every time accept a invite for a video bc he thinks in some way that he would stop. He tries a lot to just talk with Influ!Green which ended up every time in another video.

Orange: At first they thought it was just a flu for the moment, Orange tried to talk or argue with Green but now they also think he is a lost cause. But Orange still kinda talks with Green. Probably Orange, as a way to spare the others sometimes, gives himself as the "new feat" at some videos.

Yellow: She genuinely thinks Green is a lost cause, its very rare to see her in a video because she keeps her distance. She is a hopeless friend, she thinks there is no coming back. The only way to change her mind would be if she sees something with her own eyes. She gets angy when he is near and protective.

Blue: She dont necessary follows Green like Red, but she still thinks there is some way to make him his old self again. It's hard for her to say no but she don't say yes either, or keep distance like Yellow, so she is also pretty present on videos too. She always take care of the others when another video happens.

Arcane S2 Thoughts

I've had a week to digest this season and well, I guess I have the unpopular opinion of being very disappointed. After the initial flash of gorgeous animation and some ooo's and awe's.... I was left with a bitter aftertaste. I can rewatch S1 loads of time. I don't think I can watch S2 again.

I'm happy for the fans that loved it and got what they wanted or the shippers that got what they wanted. I'm happy for you. Do your thing.

Me? Not so much. Even as a Silco fan (and I admit to squeeing for any footage of him at first), I'm not pleased. Yeah, my young Silco is a nerd, man-bun hottie, but that's where it ended for me. His entire characterization was nothing like the character I fell head over heels for in S1.

Vander's Flashback: I honestly don't find Felicia's inclusion necessary at all. In fact, I think it waters down everything between Silco and Vander. Their knowing her and the kids creates more questions, plotholes, and problems than it supposedly solves.

Why is Vander only in those memories with the kids? It's before the fallout with Silco. Why don't the kids know or remember nice Silco? Why do they only fear him (obv that's from Vander and Benzo, yes?)?

Why doesn't Silco seem to know Powder at Vander's dead body? Why would he kill Felicia's kids? None of it makes any fucking sense if he cared about Felicia. He hates Vander so much, he hates the kids too because he adopted them?

How the hell does S2 Young Silco turn into S1 Silco? Riot really messed this one up. Vander's attempted murder didn't change his entire personality.

It was a rebellion battle. People were going to get hurt and killed. They had to know this. So, whether Silco accidentally killed Felicia (as some fans are debating) or she died, is so damn dumb for Vander to solely blame Silco. Takes the kids, becomes a pacifist FIRST and then decides to (shave and grow younger) kill his brother for the greater good. Doesn't make one lick of sense narratively.

The narrative, characterization and animation inconsistencies don't help from S1 either. The drowning scene doesn't fit the S2 explanation. They're too young. Vander had a beard and appears much older on the bridge. Hell, S2 Young!Silco looks older than S1 Young!Silco. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. If people want to kiss Riot's ass, fine, but there was too much that was straight up lazy writing.

Silco's death is just glossed over considering how important he is. Silco did what Vander couldn't. Even without Shimmer, the Underground was thriving. Cait's mother's death/burial/statue gets more screen time and Silco gets dumped in the river. No one seems to question his death or what happened? Yeah, ok.

I'll use this moment to complain about the excessive music video montages this season too. I watched S1 again and the writing and use of music worked in unison and enhanced scenes. S2 felt like scenes in between music videos and it was irritating.

There was so much screentime wasted that could have been good dialogue heavy scenes that S1 was great at. Instead, time wasted on poorly executed plotlines that needed way more time to flesh out (Mel, Ekko and Viktor) and we have slowmo music videos and MCU fight scenes. Hermie's guitar song and Mission Impossible jokster crap was laughable and not in a good way.

Riot tried to pack too much into one season, and it was a mess. This season felt like watching a Marvel movie. Cool action sequences with little to no substance. All the nuance and grit from last season were gone in favor of the 'good vs. bad' trope. All the political-societal issues in S1 were abandoned that were far more fascinating to explore.

Mel has superpowers now? It feels all out of place. Her, Ambessa, and the Black Rose plot have zero time to make it interesting and plausible. She was introduced as this master manipulator/politician and her sage persona feels so forced.

Jesus Demigod Viktor was too much. I was excited for the Machine Herald and the psychedelic Arcane magical multiverse took me out. Making him to be the big baddie and timeloop it around to Jayce felt like a big cop out. Viktor deserved better. Hell, Jayce deserved better.

So much was sacrificed to make the whole Arcane magic THE point of the series when it was one of the least interesting aspects of the show. Hextech for weapons and the continuing problems between Piltover and Zaun was RIPE for storytelling. It seems each act needed several episodes to cover.

Ekko sure as fuck deserved better than that half assed time warp with Hermie. The AU really bothered me. Everything felt wrong. EVERYTHING. Nothing was explained well at all. It felt like complete fan service at the expense of the characters. Before people rip me saying "well duh! It was an AU!". You don't assassinate characters and plot to have a happy ending that insults your viewers.

They turned Zaun (its own cool character) into the bargain basement of Piltover. How is it sunny and pretty? Really? Mirror tricks? Everyone just forgave Piltover after years of oppression?

You're telling me Vi's death saved humanity? Fuck that shit right now. Piltover just stopped because a kid died? Suddenly everything became better? What happened to Jayce? Viktor? Hell, Hermie after decades didn't give two shits about Zaun, so what changed with the Council? Where's Singed? I don't buy it.

I don't buy Jinx/Powder being super normal smart girl. I LOVE JInx, but I believe she had mental issues prior breaking into Jayce's apartment. I don't think Vi's death made that go away (as I don't believe Silco's death did either). As someone who battles with mental health, this is insulting to me as a viewer.

I hated AU Silco. There. I said it. He just forgave Vander? Really? Bullshit. The reason Vander tried to kill him is stupid. A simple letter changed Silco? That fluffy-haired softy is not Silco. I can't imagine that Silco being the one who fought a rebellion. He probably would not have become a mob boss peddling drugs but this AU softboi dad feels so wrong. I never would have stanned AU Silco. Not in a million years.

S1 Silco's traits didn't magically appear because Vander betrayed him. The young S1 Silco had to be similar in many ways to older S1 Silco. Drive, ambition, ruthlessness, willing to die for a cause. I don't see Felicia's death changing that. I certainly don't see Vi's death changing that.

If Vander needed to kill Silco to stop the violence, etc, it's because he saw Silco as a threat to him or society as a whole. S1 Vander is known as The Hound. So, he seems to be violent as well. He takes credit for building the Underground when Felicia credits both 'bozos' for it. So Vander being upset she died and blaming Silco to the point of murder is a slap in the face to fans' intelligence.

I do hate that by Vi's death, everything is magically better. I can't express how much I hate that. AU Powder was irritating and was nothing like my Jinx that I love. Again so much wasted time that could have been better spent on good character driven scenes that actually advance the plot.

Pointless characters. Introduce Isha (who I adored). Make her seem important to Jinx. Kill her and never mention her again. So what was the point of her inclusion this season? Just to make Jinx suicidal? I hated that also. Again WASTED SCREENTIME.

Oh, and Caitvi was a disgrace. I think shippers deserved better here, too. Caitlyn goes crazy dictator because of guilt over her mom. Granted, Caitvi only knew each other for a week-ish? Not a lot of time to make their relationship serious past an infatuation. Cait turns from all her good points last season to Ambessa's padawan.

Don't get me started on that side piece Maddie. Really? Cait you were that hard up? And that long awaited sex scene was a big eye roll. Vi goes to her sister, and shit goes to hell, and a few minutes later, she's fucking Cait in the same cell. Vi was reduced to shit this season.

I mean, these characters just got shafted in every way for a high speed train wreck ending that we've seen a million times in Disneyfied stories. Action sequences were more important than actual character development and plot.

You can't make me believe that one speech from Jayce 'seeing a possible future' suddenly got Zaun to work with and dress up as Piltover soldiers? Really?

I had high hopes for Sevika, and the girl got shit nothing to do except in two episodes. Her seat on the Council feels like a last-minute decision and not worthy enough to expand on.

What made S1 so great was the class divide between Zaun and Piltover and how it affected the characters. S2 decided to scrap that and go with the easy good vs evil trope instead. Even the parallels didn't have the same hit as last season.

I did like Jinx talking to her 'ghost' Silco in the jail cell. He was calming to her in contrast to Milo/Claggor except the implication that she should die (that's what I got out of that).

We didn't even get much from Singed. Yeah, he got his daughter back (in some form) but his story was so blah. We didn't get nearly enough of him and Warwick and what made Warwick.

I guessed a few years ago it was going to be Vander but I didn't like how it was handled.

Too many plotlines all rushed together without getting any decent screentime and explanations that don't confuse or insult viewers intelligence. OR you have to be a LOL fan/player to understand. I never played LOL before S1 and wasn't confused as to the main plot.

I loved all the characters in S1 and felt they were pretty much watered down or assassinated in S2 for an apocalyptical Demigod villain vs humanity battle done to death finale.

The Zaun/Piltover political-societal problems, parallels, corruption, science going wrong, pathway to hell paved with good intentions themes from S1 was so much better in every single aspect.

I'm still a fan of S1 and the characters and frankly, I'm going to ignore 95% of S2.

He spreads the cards out like a fan and asks you to pick one. After pulling out a card, he tells you to memorize it and to not show him, just to remember the card before putting it back.

Three of Hearts, Three of Hearts! You think again and again.

"Ok, I'm gonna shuffle the cards again and find your card.", the cat man says, doing very cool and fancy card shuffles.

"Wow!", you say in awe.

The white haired girl was named Vaggie, she told you to watch the cat man (Husk) do card magic while she talked about boring grown up stuff with Alastor.

They weren't far but you didn't pay that much attention to what they were saying.

Because magic.

"Ok..", the cat man picks up a card and flips it face up on the counter. "Is this your card?"

Looking at the card, you frown. It was NOT your card.

"No."

"Aw man, I thought I got it.", the cat man grumbles and flips over another card. "How 'bout this one?"

There's a flick behind your ear and you see the card, your card. The Three of Hearts.

"Tada~", the cat man says.

"The cat man-!", you looked up and pointed at the cat person who cut in to remind you of his name.

Then you heard a bell ring.

Sitting up, you found a lot of napkins covering you like a blanket. Looking around, you were confused when finding yourself in a waiting room and tried to remember.

"Ow!", you cried out and rubbed your forehead.

It really hurt and you wanted medicine.

When getting off of the couch, something caught your eye. It was a stuffed rabbit toy with a bow tied around its neck, making them look fancy.

Now with your new friend, you walked over to a door and opened it. Looking out, you saw it lead to a hallway and decided to explore.

Another door lead to a room with a lot of buttons. Then another with weird looking couches, and another to a bunch of boring file cabinets.

Opening the last door at the end of the hallway, you saw that it was an elevator.

"Ooo.", you said walking in and looked at the buttons. "Hmm.", you hummed in thought, squinting at the numbers.

Then you slid your hand to press all of the buttons.

"Yay."

It was really fun going to all the floors, but then you got bored and pressed the number one to go on the ground level.

Stepping out of the elevator, you saw someone sleeping at the main desk holding a phone.

They are sleeping, so I'll leave quietly so they don't wake up. You thought and made your way outside.

Walking. That's what you did until you were somewhere different. You don't know how, but you were suddenly watching T.V.

Setting: Mr. Puzzles is back in his home world and reader is visiting him in his house at the edge of the showgrounds, and he’s just so, so excited to be able to spend time with the reader and Mr puzzles has the whole evening planned out and is pleased that the reader is a happy to go along with it.

I didn’t ever think I’d get this many chances to spend time with you. Not after everything that had happened, and yet here we were. I was currently experiencing a great deal of nerves, even though I had this ‘date’ planned to a T. When you knocked, I practically fell over my own feet to open the door, and only remained balanced as I caught myself onto the doorframe.

“Good evening, my dear.” I flashed the best technicolor smile I could manage, though I was certain I didn’t hide the interested expression when I saw what you were wearing. It took a lot of effort to keep my hands to myself, and that was likely your plan from the mischievous look you shot me as you entered the house. I closed the door, and after you took off your coat, I couldn’t help but slide in close to you, taking the coat from you as my other arm casually slipped around your waist. Stooping, my metal head leaned in close to the side of yours. Trailing my fingers along your side, I whisper. “Tease. You tempt me so.”

“I think it was a present from one of your roommates, as a joke.” Tilting my head to the side, I keep myself focused on clearing off the table, while you manned the sink.You’d all but banned me from the sink after I’d nearly had my beautiful metal head nearly fell into it after getting struck in the head by a whirlwind that was Mario being chased by Smg3. Subsequently, I asked you, pleaded, really, to not let Mario onto my house again.

“It was Rose, wasn’t it?”

“Who else would’ve given me an apron with ‘kiss the insecure man’ on it?” I grumbled as I finished tidying up.”

“And yet you kept it.” You turned off the sink. “Is there something you want to ask me?”

“Why get another one when this one is perfectly functional?” I offered in answer as I spun about and snuck up on you to wrap my arms around you, fingers lightly trailing down along your spine. It delighted me that you leaned into me; I tugged you closer, practically lifting you up into my arms from where I stooped again. “And what do you think I’d ask of you?”

“Kiss me, insecure tv man.” You teased me again.

I took you at your word and set you down on the counter behind you in order to not have to bend over so far in order to kiss you.

“I think I saw a movie like this once.”

“We are not reenacting one of those.” I teased in return by rubbing my screen swiftly into your hair before I dipped down and left a brief zap of static across your lips to make you inhale sharply at its intensity. A hooded expression appeared on my face, the technicolor smile pleased. I slid one hand along your cheek, giddy over you tilting your head up at my touch. I didn’t build up static this time, indulging in a longer kiss as I gathered up the static ‘fuzziness’ to align along your lips. A curious sensation, but one I found I quite enjoyed. Muffled laughter emitted from my speakers when I ‘licked’ a stripe of static along your cheek after ending the kiss. I kissed the hand you shoved into the middle of my screen, mimicking a ‘nip’ with a quick zap different from the softly static I used for the kiss.

Living room:

The movie was a given, but I found I couldn’t quite focus because you’d decided to move from my side, where I could gently caress your arm with my hand, to on my lap.

My…predicament was likely known to you, but you did quite an admirable job making it seem as though you were enthralled with the movie of the screen we were watching.

Perhaps I should have insisted upon you watching a movie on my face, that I may better look at you and your different expressions, and feel your body breathing as you wrapped your arms around my body and watched my screen.

But two could play at this game.

I didn’t make you look away from the screen, but I certainly gave you something to think about when I wrapped my arms around you, and teased a hand across your belly, as if to slide a hand up beneath the clothing to touch bare skin. When you retaliated by shifting around to a more ‘comfy’ position, I near growled something and pressed my metal head against the back of your neck, to ‘flick’ static there to make you squirm in return.

It was fun.

I was having fun, and from the sound of your smothered laughter, you were too. But the night was still a ways away, and the movie still had an hour and fourteen minutes left.

Bedroom:

“You know, I think I would have directed that movie much differently than that director had.” I mused, as I stared at the mirror on the dresser, while waiting for you to finish with the bathroom.

“You say that to a lot of the movies we watch.” You pointed out, the bathroom door cracked open a little to hear me speak.

“Because it’s true! I have ideas! Artistic passion to make the creativity flow so much better than it did!” I protested, half joking and half serious. When the bathroom door shoved open, the light in it turned off, I kept my focus on the mirror, and the fact that I was fully dressed. This shouldn’t be so difficult for me; it wasn’t like you hadn’t seen what my body looked like, with its robotic limbs and scars left behind with all the maintenance required to keep myself in good condition.

“You know we don’t have to do anything, if you’re not feeling up to it tonight. I know you have trouble with this still; I don’t mind if we just cuddle in bed; you’re really warm and nice to hold on to while falling asleep.”

I heard your approach, and your arms looping around my waist to reach up in order to make me stop clenching my hands so tightly over my chest. I slowly unlocked my fingers, and allowed myself to trace your hands lightly as I think over your words. Then, I take a breath, and let it out slowly.

“I’m not conventionally attractive, my dear.” I hesitated, fidgeting with one of your hands. “I know you’re…comfortable, around me, seeing what I’ve done to my body…” I trailed off, gently shooed your hands away and then turned around to hold you to me, gently roaming my fingers over you as I sighed. “But it’s a process, as you’ve said before. Little steps, to not be as…repulsed, by what I’ve done to myself, when you’ve show you quite like me.” I dropped my voice low. “So let me show how much I appreciate you as you’ve shown your appreciation.” I did so love the way you reacted to my voice, but more so to my touch, when given the chance.

Bedroom, after:

I slowly traced skin, a blanket hiding the both of us away from the outside world.

This silence.

It was wonderfully peaceful.

I nuzzled my metal face into yours, peppering your sleepy self with my own version of kisses, the static spark more than likely tickling.

This quiet time was nice and lazy; I got to keep you all to myself, and got to hold you. To feel you breathe calmly in your sleep, for the entire night, once you finally dozed off.

I loved that you stayed with me, and let me have this quiet time, content with petting along your back and shoulders, and planting lazy kisses along any part of you I could get to.

It was addictive; it was distracting.

I didn’t mind.

I enjoyed the attention, and I loved the way I could return the attention in my own way, even if my robotic metal hands, whether they were covered up or not, couldn’t feel the same as my human ones once hand. But it didn’t stop me from enjoying contact with another human, and the affectionate nature that grew each time.

Next morning:

You were asleep.

The sun had since risen, but I didn’t dare disturb your peaceful slumber. Besides, it gave me more time to admire you, now that there was natural lighting beginning to creep across the room.

I couldn’t help but sigh longingly over the way the light crossed your hair, and then, your face.

The introduction to the sunlight crossed you face made you scrunch it up reflectively, a soft groan releasing before you sighed and sleepily turned over to snuggle in closer to me, back to the window as you bury your face into my chest.

I released a dreamy sigh this time, before removing my head and placing it between two pillows so that I could watch myself hold you, and pet your arms lightly before tugging the blanket back up over your shoulders. I brought you closer to me, my heart hammering in self-consciousness as you turned your head to press your cheek into the skin that was cross-crossed with scars. Twitching, I loosened my arms from around you to turn over onto my back, in an attempt to try to encourage you to lie alongside me instead.

Your mostly asleep self (stubbornly) wiggled right back to where you were before, if not more on top of me than before.

I held perfectly still as your right arm draped my waist as you half-pushed, half crawled onto my chest and side before you’re head resumed its place on my scarred chest. My screen was surely showing off a flushed face, eyes fixed on you cuddled up half ontop of me; I graciously tugged the blanket back into place, then laid my hands down. One on your blanketed shoulders, and one of the back on your neck, both hands idly tracing along, delighting in the slight difference in material of the blanket retaining your heat, and your neck warming my hand somewhat as I trailed my fingers through hair. I wondered just how much of a flushed expression I had, even if I knew that it was likely an adoring look beneath that was fixed upon you.

When you woke up, the first thing you did was lightly move your right hand to try to grasp my hand behind your neck.

“Good morning.” I moved my hand and indulgently held yours; it was ever so endearing to see your expression as you slowly went from mostly asleep to somewhat awake as you realized somewhere inbetween that my metal head was missing. When you turned to find it, I flashed a warm technicolor smile. “Did you sleep well, my dear?”

“Mmhm.” Was your answer even though you wiggled up along my body, which was…an interesting sensation without clothing in the way. You didn’t seem to mind the scars as you leaned over to pat the side of my head, which made me chuckle when you missed the first few times.

“Do I get my good morning kiss?” I teased, while watching in real time as you woke up. I felt I may be in for a surprise when you offer me a hint of a smile, but not one of teasing; it was one of fondness. I tugged the blanket up again to keep you warm, even went so far as to help you balance as you lean over my neck. “My face is over here, you know.” I reminded, when you began to gently move the fabric covering up the wires wrapped about my cervical spine. What exactly were you-

A jolt of surprise shot through me when I felt you kiss my wires next to what was left of my original neck. I near groaned in pleasant surprise when you actually kissed the nearest bone peeking through the wire, and I practically had to force myself to remain supine. I hadn’t expected…I hadn’t expected there to be any feeling whatsoever compared to the wires I had to weave through the inside of my body to support my skeletal structure that remained in my chest, torso and waist. I must have made some sort of positive response, because you turned your attention on my poor exposed spine like it was your life’s mission to wrench gasps, moans, and pleading from me once you realized my spine was the most sensitive part of my body.

It seemed that the tables had turned on me today, as my face went to a test card, which I can honestly say has not happened to me before, then to a ‘please stand by’ with my logo on it as I convulsed on the bed with the shocking pleasure of having all of those unexpected soft kisses peppered all over my exposed neck.

All in all, I would say that the date last night had been a success, and today was turning out to be quite interesting with your discovery (and my own) of my neck being more sensitive than I ever anticipated it to be.
