"You should smile more" - sambucky
I’m a sucker for Bucky’s smile so obviously I had to project that onto Sam and write a fic - I use the word ‘smile’ waaaaaay too much in this fic, but whatever
This is my first ever marvel fic, so sorry if it's too ooc but I actually kinda like this one hah
Big thank you to @tasteslikestrawbebbies for beta-reading ♥♥
Here it is on Ao3
part 2, part 3
Enjoy ♥
***
One of the things that really struck him was that he kinda loved Bucky’s smile. Once he saw that real, genuine, happy smile on Bucky’s face… all he wanted to do was to make him smile again and again. Which was a crazy thought. Insane. He should not be thinking that, and he tried not to. But then Bucky would smile again, and Sam would melt.
His smile was… really nice. And beautiful. And it was impossible not to smile as well when you saw it. He seemed so relaxed and at peace… Sam has never seen him like that before, but he definitely liked it. He knew there was still work to do, and they would have to get to that sooner or later, but for now, he really enjoyed just hanging out with Bucky, fixing the boat together, talking, which apparently they did now, another surprising thing. Bucky opened up to him, and that meant he trusted him, not only in battle. This made Sam almost giddy.
He wasn’t ready to say goodbye. He knew they would see each other soon, but he selfishly wanted Bucky to stay, to keep him company… to smile at him. God, he was gone on that fucking smile.
He almost considered making up something else that needed repairing that Buck could help him with, but that would require actually having something to do… and he was not about to break something on purpose. Not that that hasn’t crossed his mind… but he wasn’t that far gone. Or that desperate. At least yet.
He convinced himself that he was fine, that not seeing Bucky for a while wasn’t a big deal. Because it shouldn’t be. They had barely talked before Walker was given the shield. And it was fine. It would be fine now, too.
But then, as Bucky was about to leave, the words just slipped out of his mouth.
“You know, you could stay for a while. If you want.” he wasn’t looking at Bucky, his eyes focused on the trees they were passing.
Bucky was quiet for a moment and Sam was afraid he fucked up their relationship, which has improved significantly over the past few days.
“Uh, I’d really like to.” Bucky started. “I would, but I think I need to go. In New York there’s someone who really needs closure, and I’ve been putting it off long enough.” he sighed, and that’s when Sam looked at him again. He seemed nervous and Sam understood.
“Of course.” he smiled. “But, you know, you’re always welcome here, man.” he added.
“Thanks.” Bucky smiled, and Sam’s heart fluttered. Damn, this could not be happening. “I guess I’ll see you- What?” he stopped mid-sentence to look at Sam in confusion.
“What ‘what’?” Sam raised an eyebrow.
“Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Like what?” Sam felt his face heat up and looked away. He kept his cool since Bucky showed up, and now he’s getting caught at whatever his face was doing while he was admiring Bucky’s gorgeous smile? He was pretty sure he was smiling, but what else could be visible in his expression, he had no idea. He was fucked.
“I don’t know, but it’s weird.” Bucky was frowning, his tone slow and confused.
“Bad weird?” Sam couldn’t help but ask, looking back at Bucky, who just shrugged.
“Just different. What’s up?” he asked, not wanting to let go. And of course Bucky, the expert of staring and observing, noticed the difference in Sam’s expression. Of course.
“Nothing, it’s stupid.” Sam laughed, feeling more than ridiculous.
“Now you gotta tell me.” Bucky nudged his arm. “What was that look about?”
“I was just thinking. Forget it.” he shook his head, he tried to brush it off, but he knew it was pointless. One more smile from Bucky, and he was going to melt into a puddle.
“Okay, well, I’m not gonna push.” he lifted both hands in defeat, but he was smiling. Whatever he saw in Sam’s face, had to be positive. Of course it was, he had been thinking about Bucky’s smile. “I’ll get it out of you another time.” he winked, starting to walk again, and Sam wasn’t sure when they stopped walking. “Call me when you have a lead.” he repeated his previous words, clapped Sam on the shoulder, and was about to walk away.
“You should smile more.” Sam said before he even realized he had opened his mouth. How was it that suddenly he couldn’t think around Bucky?
“What?” Bucky turned around, Sam was staring at him, probably looking as surprised as Bucky. But he said it, so there was no backing away now.
“I mean, that’s what I was thinking about.” he swallowed hard. “It’s a good look on you. When you smile.” he said, trying to sound as confident as he could. Slowly, another one of those amazing smiles showed up on Bucky’s face.
“Wow, I did not expect that.” he said, his expression smug.
“Shut up.” Sam rolled his eyes, forcing himself not to smile back.
“You thinking about my smile often?” Bucky then asked, because of course he had to tease Sam about it now.
“I haven’t seen you really smile until, like, yesterday, so no.” Sam answered and thought, damn, where is this conversation going and how did we get here. “And I’m just saying,” oh God, he so needs to shut up already, but his mouth is still moving and the words are pouring out despite his efforts to stop it. “I wouldn’t mind if you did that more often.”
Bucky chuckled, and boy was that a nice sound, and looked down for a second. Seemed like someone was shy about getting complimented. Alright, Sam got it, Bucky probably hasn’t been complimented at all for the past seventy years. But Sam also kinda liked making him blush - because that’s what was happening, Bucky’s cheeks were starting to get pink, and now Sam couldn’t contain his smile.
“That’s, uh, nice.” Bucky said, looking back at Sam. “I just feel really good here, you know?” he confessed. So now they were seriously going to start talking, huh? Sam couldn’t say he was complaining.
“So you gonna come back?” the question was out of his mouth before he could stop himself. Again. Damn, what was happening to him?
“I haven’t even left yet, Sam. Relax.” Bucky chuckled again, his beautiful, teeth-baring smile not disappearing from his face. Then he sighed. “I promise, once we deal with Karli, I’m gonna visit again and I’ll stay so long you’re gonna beg me to leave.” he added, teasingly. Sam just involuntarily smiled.
“Imma remember that. You better keep your promises.” he said, finger pointed at Bucky to accentuate his words.
“Always do. But now I really gotta go if I wanna catch my flight.” Bucky added, almost apologetically.
“Right.” Sam wanted him to stay, but he already said that, and he wasn’t about to beg. He wasn’t that desperate. And he knew Bucky had to go, he had things to do, people to see, he had to do the work and get better, and it seemed like he was really going to. “Uh, answer my calls and texts this time, will you?” he tried to sound casual and exasperated, but the longing and a bit of hope was audible even to him.
“You plan on contacting me a lot?” Bucky raised his eyebrow.
“Maybe.” Sam was suddenly all too aware of the distance between them. He would have to take two, maybe three steps, to get to Bucky and… and what? He wasn’t sure. “Are you gonna answer?” he asked again, taking a step towards Bucky. What was he doing?
“Of course.” Bucky answered. Sam must’ve looked surprised, because Bucky snickered. “How else will I know that you have a lead?”
“You’re an ass.” Sam rolled his eyes, his cheeks heating up. And here he was hoping they would actually start talking on a regular basis… not that he wanted that. Definitely not. Why would he?
“But if you call me without a lead, I might not hang up on you.” Bucky said, a bit reluctantly, a teasing smirk still on his face. “Depends on my mood.”
“You can call me, too. If you ever wanna talk. No matter what time it is.” Sam took another step, while Bucky watched him curiously.
“I’ll keep that in mind.”
“And, uh, thanks. For all the help, you know.” Sam shrugged. There was still a small distance between them, and he was contemplating crossing it and hugging Bucky.
“Of course.” he said, as if him helping Sam was the most natural and obvious thing in the world. “Anytime. But now I really have to-” he didn’t finish his sentence, because Sam took the final step. But instead of hugging Bucky, he pressed his lips against Bucky’s.
It was a split second, rash decision, he did not intend to do it. At all. It was either letting Bucky go and dreaming about that smile and longing for him for the next indefinite period of time until he saw him again… or kissing Bucky and possibly changing their whole dynamic, risking rejection and making things weird again, possibly weirder than ever.
But Bucky immediately kissed him back, as if he was expecting it. And Sam could feel him smiling, which only added to the fluttering feeling in his stomach.
At first, it was chaste, just lips against lips, but that lasted a whole two seconds before Bucky opened his mouth, deepening it. He dropped his bag, his metal hand finding its way to Sam’s hip, while the flesh one cupped Sam’s cheek. Sam’s hands were in Bucky’s hair, running his fingers through it, and trying to bring him even closer. Honestly, Sam wanted to stay in that moment forever. Bucky’s lips not only looked good and irresistible - the man was an amazing kisser. Sam wanted more. He needed more. And one of his hands started trailing down Bucky’s arm to the hem of his shirt, but then… Bucky broke the kiss.
“You really want me to miss my flight, huh?” he asked, his forehead pressed against Sam’s. He was smiling, and both their breaths were quickened.
“I told you, you could stay.” Sam said, not able to contain a smile either. “We could… uh, have some fun, if you stayed.” he added, his tone deliberately suggestive. He decided to stop being tentative about his feelings. They just made out, he was aroused, and he was pretty sure Bucky was too. He desperately wanted him closer, wanted their bodies pressed together. Preferably undressed. Oh fuck, when did he go from Bucky has a beautiful smile to I wanna fuck him ? This was happening fast. Or maybe those thoughts were always there, lurking, as he tried to convince himself he’s not attracted to the guy. Maybe.
“I would love to.” Bucky said, sighing, and his breath hit Sam’s mouth, making him shiver. He wanted those lips on his again. But Bucky pulled away, hands still on Sam, but now his piercing blue eyes were staring at him again. This time, Sam didn’t mind. The staring stopped bothering him a while ago.
“But?” Sam tried to keep disappointment out of his voice.
“But, before this,” he waved his flesh hand between them. “Develops any further, I need to deal with some stuff.” he said, and Sam felt his heart swell. First of all, Bucky seemed so sure that this thing between them would turn into something, so Sam didn’t have to worry about what the kiss meant, they were both on the same page. And second of all, Bucky actually wanted to work on himself first before getting into a relationship. Which filled Sam with pride. He knew that it wouldn’t be a problem for them - he knew a lot about Bucky and his trauma, and he would love to help, in any way he could. But if Bucky thought it was something he needed to do by himself, and was actually willing to do the work, that was amazing.
“Okay.” Sam said, smiling fondly. “Just, you know, not all the stuff, yeah? I’m not gonna wait for an eternity.” his tone was jocular, but he needed Buck to know that he was in, despite all his shit. He hoped his message was at least a bit clear.
“Yeah.” Bucky smiled, leaning in for another kiss, this time brief, leaving Sam chasing after him as he was pulling away. “I’ll see you soon.” he added, finally picking up his bag and starting to walk away. Again.
“You better answer your phone or you’ll see me sooner than you think.” Sam yelled after him. Bucky turned around to shoot him one of his genuine, amused grins that made Sam’s knees weak, and made it impossible not to smile back.
Yeah, he definitely loved Bucky’s smile. And he already couldn’t wait to see it again.

C3E24 reaction
Sorry for no reaction last week, these things happen.
I love the multiple instances of reactions of the Hells that are so clearly different than the Nein. While the Nein as a party always felt heavily neutral that slowly shifted to good, a lot of the Hells already feel like they’re in good (though I’m genuinely wondering if Chetney might actually be in the evil spectrum, but we won’t see it against the party because they’re people he cares for? Imma keep my eye on his NPC interactions!).
...whaaaat is going on with the dusstras being tortured and having it’s kids killed???? Is this just a case of environmental ‘humanoids don’t care about animals when taking resources for themselves’, a specific case of ‘bad guy using area where the creature is from for it’s own purposes’ or even more specific ‘bad guy actively hurting the creature for reasons’. OR, is it just a random flavor moment that Matt chucked in that will never be dealt with again? XD
I feel a bit bad for Taliesin that no one followed up with Ashton after their impalement after he took care of Orym yesterday/last episode, but I also am a little annoyed because c’mon dude, the group was all talking over each other. Pull a Liam, interrupt or take a moment when they’re silence and THEN say what Ashton is doing, you’re more likely to get party reactions or interactions from it. It was hard for me as a viewer to hear what you chose, even though you said it twice. And you’ve been playing with this group for ages, you know that they’ll talk over shit and miss stuff all the time!
While I’m appreciating all of Chetney’s gifts to the party, I 100% think that Robbie got the best one, just in terms of complexity and appearance. XD Like, the hand is fun, the box was sweet, the dollhouse is hysterical, but that SHIP WAS SO PRETTY AND COMPLEX. So now we’re just waiting on Fearne, Imogen, and maybe FCG unless the feet were considered the gift but I doubt it.
Minor shade to Taliesin, but I’m glad a few of the party (and cast OOC) mentioned that he needs to SHARE things. There’s levels of in character secrecy or hesitancy that make sense, but omg I’ve been annoyed with Tal from time to time (especially in C1) where he would be like “I have a plan” or “I’m going to do a thing” and then not TELL anyone what is was until it was actually happening. Or in the case of C3, “oh god is it Thing?” “what’s Thing?” “I’m not gonna tell you now”. If you’re stating it out loud, expect people to follow up, and give some fucking answers, even if you don’t tell the full story! If you don’t want to do that, but want to make a statement, pull the shit that Liam does and have Ashton make a comment to himself when no one else can hear.
I’m really enjoying the descriptions of Bassuras, even though I’ve never seen Mad Max itself, I’ve seen plenty of pictures and gifs from original and otherwise. Looking forwards to the exploration of the city, especially because I do miss the travelling.
I fucking love Fearne so much, I cannot even. (I also cannot even, apparently Ashley with dark hair is all I ever wanted OMG) I adore how she’s being so creepy at night, looking at and touching people. I’m also very glad that FCG was woken up by this and is able to confront her about NOT COOL.
FCG being VERY protective of their markings, what the fuck is up with that? I WANT TO KNOW NOW. (also their pissed at birds because one shits on their head all the time. Did Matt know this? Is this something Sam has been planning but never told Matt so now Matt just needs to decide how he wants to deal with this? IS THE BIRD THE BBEG THE ENTIRE TIME???)
ERIKA ERIKA ERIKA!!!! Okay, 1) I don’t actually think I’ve seen any of the one shots she’s in so I’m looking forwards to seeing her play, 2) I’m very interested to see how long she ends up staying as a guest, getting a vague idea of how guests will be going forwards, 3) ...I’m actually kinda slightly disappointed because I do love just the cast on their own, but I’m keeping my opinions open, and 4) I wonder if the temporary break was maybe to accommodate her schedule?
Oh hey, fun to see that I have an instinctive fear with the description of a glaive now. Thanks C2!
You know, as much fun as Sam’s gas cans are, I prefer the flask? Because the flask (for the most part) wasn’t disruptive. But the gas can is FREQUENTLY disruptive, and this one is BAD.

{1} - Spring Day
Reincarnation AU - Part of the Spring Day Series
Genre: Angst, Fluff, Possible Smut (In later chapters)
Pairing: Itadori Yuuji X Reader X Ryomen Sukuna
Words: 5,059
A/n: I just recently got into Jujutsu Kaisen but I love it so much already! Ever since I watched episode four and five this little idea has been running around in my mind, and I've seen a few others do an au like this so I decided I'd give it a shot. I’m still learning all the rules and stuff of the world, so please bear with me. Some of the characters may be ooc for the time being, as well as for plot purposes. I hope you enjoy what I have planned, and please do let me know what you think of this. Feedback is always greatly appreciated!
Summary: Being Yuuji’s best friend? Piece of cake. However, you never expected to be the reincarnation of Sukuna’s former lover. - You promised each other forever, but forever came.
Note: The characters are all aged up for this fic, so now they will be in university.
You can still remember the first day you met Itadori Yuuji like it was yesterday. Nothing really eventful happened on that day, but you know that it’s one you’ll never forget, for he’s your best friend and you are his. In fact, having just entered middle school at the time, he was one of the first friends you ever made at your new school.
He seemed impressed by how unafraid you were of the supernatural, the two of you spouting ghost stories to one another during lunch every day. Each day was a competition to see who could freak the other one out the most with an even gorier horror story every lunch period. So far, your record is thirty to twenty-nine in your favour, with more ties than you can count.
Soon enough, middle school came and went, and then the two of you found out that you were to go to the same high school. Both of you were excited that you would know at least one person, not to mention that that person is your best friend. At least you wouldn’t have to give up your daily routine with him. Needless to say, it came as quite a shock to Yuuji when you stopped coming to school about halfway through your first year.
Even though the two of you continued to text every day since your transfer, things never felt the same to either of you. Every time Yuuji asked what school you transferred to, you’d brush off the question, or give him a fake school name. He knows they’re fake since the one time he wanted to surprise you after school one day by visiting you, but when he went inside and checked the registry, your name wasn’t even close to being listed there.
That was a small rough patch in your relationship. Yuuji was hurt that you would lie to him like that, and it took about a week before you could cheer him up again. He just had to see you in person, that was the only way he would stop moping about. That, and he jokingly said it would be the only way he’d forgive you.
Again, as the two of you were walking around the shopping district, he asked you which high school you transferred to. Well, you couldn’t exactly tell him you transferred to a school that teaches you how to become a jujutsu sorcerer, now could you? So, you gave a vague description of the place, stating that you honestly always forget the name, but it’s hidden somewhere in the mountains surrounding Tokyo. Regardless, he made you promise that he could come visit at some point.
Every day, you miss him, just as he misses you, and every day you wish you could see more of him. Despite the amount of trips you plan together, nothing can replace no longer seeing each other every day. Oh well, at least you still keep in touch.
Yuuji never told you, but it was pure agony for him when you left without a clue as to where you’d gone. The fact that you couldn’t answer him for a few days made him go crazy. When he finally got an answer, it felt as if the world had finally started moving again, because to him, you are his entire world.
He doesn’t exactly know when his platonic feelings towards you turned more romantic, but he knows that they’ve never gone away, no matter how many years have passed. Perhaps it was that time in your second year of middle school when you tricked him into playing shogi with you, a game you had convinced him he could beat you at, only to be severely disappointed. How was he to know you were the best in the year when you had never mentioned it before that day? Or perhaps it was that one day during the summer break before the start of high school when the two of you were running through the park, laughing at each other as the sunlight reflected off of your hair, lighting up your eyes in a way he’d never seen before. Either way, he knows he’s been in love with you for a long time now, and he’d never do anything to jeopardize your friendship. He just hopes that someday, his feelings are returned.
Unfortunately for you, you didn’t get to spend as much time with Yuuji over the break as you wanted to, what with your duties and all. However, you’re hoping you’ll be able to soon. You wanted to see him one last time before he started university, but unfortunately you couldn’t. Weeks passed, and you finally made plans to visit him a few months into the semester, but you had to cancel due to a last minute mission you got thrown on. Little did you know what would happen that night.
Earlier that evening, you had gotten a voicemail from Yuuji, informing you that his grandfather had died. You managed to take a detour long enough to call him back, making sure that he’s okay and letting him know that you’re sorry for his loss. His grandfather was the closest family he had left, so you know that as soon as you’re done with this mission, you’re going to see him. He told you he was fine, but you want to make sure. After all, you know how he can get.
Shaking your head to clear your thoughts, you focus in on the task at hand. Clearing this abandoned building will be easy for you, nothing you haven’t done before. All there are are two level two curses to take care of, piece of cake. You only wish it was located closer to where Yuuji is, that way you could get to him sooner.
It took a few years, but you managed to quickly work your way up to a grade one sorcerer. You’re a very quick learner, and the fact that you already had strong reflexes thanks to always competing with Yuuji helped a great deal. You’re only surprised your mother kept her family secret for so long. However, you’re grateful for how long she kept it secret, because if she had revealed it sooner, you might not have met Yuuji, and you don’t know where you’d be today without him in your life.
With a sigh, you enter the building. Shifting your gaze around, you begin to hunt the curses currently within the vicinity. It doesn’t take you long to find the first one, quickly disposing of it before it even has the chance to retaliate. Locating the second takes a little bit longer than anticipated, but eventually you find it, preparing yourself to take this one down just as you did the first.
“Man, you really are one ugly thing, aren’t you?” You tut, shaking your head.
The curse in question did not seem to like your words, letting out a screech and lunging for you in the next moment. Quickly dodging, you parry the curse’s attack, managing to sever one of its many limbs before jumping back and keeping a bit of distance between the two of you. You’re just about to jump in for another attack when you falter, a sudden wave of specialized curse energy pulsing throughout your entire body.
Taking advantage of your momentary loss of composure, the curse lunges at you. You just manage to block the blunt of the attack, still getting a small scrape on your cheek in the process. You curse.
Another two minutes pass by and you’re finally able to dispose of the second level two. Immediately, the air in the building seems lighter, and you know you’ve cleared all the required curses and purified the space. Breathing a sigh of relief you head towards the exit, ready to be clear of this building once and for all.
As soon as you step outside, you feel your phone vibrate in your pocket, signalling that you’re getting a call. Thinking it to be Yuuji, you don’t even bother checking the caller id before answering right away.
“Hello?” You say, just as you hear the door fall shut behind you.
“(Y/n)! So glad you answered on the first ring,” the voice of your personal teacher and trainer, Gojo Satoru answers in a chipper voice. “Listen, I have some news for you.”
“Listen, teach, if you’re just gonna tell me about the mochi you bought today-“
“Ryomen Sukuna has been released,” he cuts you off, and you can only freeze in your tracks as your breath hitches in your throat. “We currently have control of his vessel.”
“What happened?” You ask, steadying yourself with your back against the side of the building you’ve just exited.
“Ah, nothing to worry about, nothing to worry about,” Gojo assures you. “We had it under control.”
“We?” Your brow quirks slightly even though he can’t see it.
“Yeah, Fushiguro and I,” he replies. “Well, it was mainly me, but who’s keeping score?” You can faintly hear grumbling in the background and then a chuckle from Gojo. “Anyways, best return to campus as soon as possible.”
“I can’t,” comes your immediate response.
There’s silence for a moment until, “and why’s that?”
“I have to go visit Yuuji,” you bring a hand up to rub at your temples. This conversation is giving you a headache.
“You mentioned he lives near Sendai, correct?” Gojo inquires.
“That’s correct,” you confirm, “why?”
“The incident was near there, so you can’t come, it’s not safe for you,” he explains.
You scoff, “since when have you ever been concerned for my safety?”
“I’m offended,” he feigns hurt. “As your teacher, I’m always concerned for your safety.”
“Bullshit,” you huff, rolling your eyes. “Anyways, that’s all the more reason I should go and see him. Now I have two reasons to make sure he’s okay.”
You hear a deep sigh on the other end before Gojo is speaking once more, “listen, (Y/n), you know I’m not usually one to be a stickler for rules and such, and I hate enforcing things, but I’m going to need you to get back to campus and wait in your dorm until I come get you.”
“But-“
“That’s an order,” his voice is firm, and you know that there’s no arguing with him once he’s made up his mind.
“Fine,” you sigh, pushing yourself off of the wall in order to head to the train station. “Will you at least tell me the name of Sukuna’s vessel?”
“All in due time,” he says, sounding too cheerful for the current events which have just taken place this evening. “See you back at the academy!”
Without another word, the line goes dead and you know he’s ended the call to avoid answering any more of your questions.
Letting out another sigh, you tuck your phone away in your pocket. You sent a quick text to Yuuji beforehand, just explaining that something came up and you’re still thinking of him during this time. You hope you can see him soon.
The ride back to campus is spent thinking about the effects of Sukuna now being released. You know the elders will probably fight to execute whoever the poor idiot is that ingested his finger. Knowing Gojo, he’d fight against whatever the elders decide to do. You’re just hoping that whoever the idiot is that turned out to be Sukuna’s vessel is strong enough to both contain and control him.
Making it back to campus, you immediately head to your room, just as Gojo had instructed you to do. Figuring you have enough time before he comes calling, you take a quick shower, washing off the dirt and grime from the events of this evening. Once done, you change into some comfortable clothes and lay down on your bed, scrolling through your phone as you wait for Gojo to appear.
It’s not until noon the next day when Gojo finally shows up at your door.
“Took you long enough, I’m starving,” you grumble, noticing he’s carrying what looks like two prepackaged lunches in his hands.
“You could have gone out for food, you know,” he chuckles, already moving to sit down in your desk chair.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I was told to ‘wait in my room and await further instructions,’” you cross your arms, allowing your door to fall shut as you return to sitting on your bed.
“Details, details,” he waves you off as you grab one of the lunches he hands you. “Anyways, I came to update my favourite student about what’s going on.”
You simply quirk a brow at him as you open your lunch, waiting for him to continue.
“Well, for starters I’ve delayed the inevitable,” he begins, to which you only give him a look. He goes on to explain that the vessel will most likely be joining the other first years in training to become a sorcerer until the proper time comes. “I’ve basically convinced the elders to allow the vessel to consume all of Sukuna’s fingers before being executed.”
“Okay, and?” You stare at him expectantly.
“Please, do hold your applause,” he grins, expression only faltering slightly when you continue to remain silent after a few moments. “Geez, tough crowd. Anyways, I thought you’d be more happy about this.”
“I only feel bad for the poor idiot who got involved in all of this,” you sigh, continuing to place food in your mouth while chewing thoughtfully.
“Oh, he’s an idiot alright,” Gojo chuckles.
“And who exactly is he?” You tilt your head slightly, looking at him expectantly.
Gojo lets out a deliberate yawn while standing up, stretching his arms above his head, “would you look at that? I’m late for a meeting with the principle. Toodles!”
Without another word, he vanishes from your room, only leaving you just as frustrated with him as you were before, with many more unanswered questions building in your mind. It’s just like him to do this to you, too. Always keeping information this important from you until you’re thrust upon a situation where you’re forced to confront the facts of the matter. You just hope that this is another one of his stupid training exercises and not him purposely avoiding telling you straight up who the vessel is. You also hope whoever the vessel is, is someone you don’t know since it’ll probably make it easier when the time comes. Still, knowing Gojo, he probably will come up with a plan to save the poor soul set for execution even after everything is said and done. If the poor boy even lives that long.
Finishing up your lunch, you decide to head towards the principle’s office. You are technically considered a first year in the university courses, so maybe you’ll have a chance to sneak a look at the vessel if you’re lucky. Besides, Gojo did mention something about Fushiguro and you meeting up with the other new first year tomorrow, so you want intel on what’s happening in regards to that.
Just as you raise your hand to knock on the principle’s door Gojo opens it as if he was expecting you. You attempt to sneak a glance past him but to no avail, only causing him to chuckle as he steps into the hallway and shuts the door behind him.
“How can I help you, my dear student?” He smiles, leaning against the now closed door.
“When are we meeting the new girl, and is the vessel accompanying us?” Your questions are direct and straight to the point.
“Ah, yes, Nobara,” Gojo nods. “Unfortunately, you won’t be accompanying us guys to meet up with her tomorrow, you have another mission to attend to.”
“Since when?” You scoff.
“Since now,” he singsongs. “Level one curse spotted at an old primary school. I would take care of it myself, but as you know, I care deeply about every single one of my students so I must be there to meet Nobara on her first day! Besides, you’re the only one I trust to do this assignment right now.”
Any protests you had soon die in your throat at his last statement. Though still ticked off you won’t get to go with them, you understand why he’s chosen you. Besides, this is your job, and you know it will help with your training.
“Fine,” you grumble, “but I still want to meet the new kids.”
“All in due time,” he waves you off with the same words he told you last night. “Now you better get planning before that curse gets too out of hand! I’ll text you the details!”
“Yeah, yeah,” this time it’s your turn to wave him off as you turn around and start walking back to your dorm to grab your stuff, muttering under your breath, “you old croon.”
The offended gasp you hear behind you is enough to drown out the sound of the principle’s door opening once more, two people stepping out to join Gojo in the hallway.
“Who’s that?” Itadori asks Gojo as they watch your retreating form disappear behind a corner.
“One of my best students,” Gojo hums proudly in response.
“Funny, she looks just like my best friend-“
“C’mon, I’ll show you to your dorm!” Gojo cuts him off before he can finish his sentence, leading him down the hallway in the opposite direction to which you disappeared in, Itadori not being able to do much else but follow close behind.
Sure enough, about twenty minutes later Gojo sends you a text with all the details you’ll need to exercise the curse tomorrow at the primary school. You plan to leave early in the morning since it’ll take you at least an hour or two to get to the location, and then another hour or two to get back. You also want to see if you can catch the guys before they leave, see if you can introduce yourself to one of the two newbies at least.
Unfortunately for you, it doesn’t seem like the luck of coincidence is on your side in the morning as you prepare to leave campus. Letting out a small sigh, you make your way to the train station, ready to begin your mission for the day and get it over with as soon as you can. Perhaps you can time things just right so that you get back to campus around the same time that they do. After all, this task should be a walk in the park.
Oh, how wrong you are.
Not only did it take you three hours to arrive to the primary school, but the curse, which was supposed to be one level one turned out to be two level one curses sharing the vicinity. They cornered you and you ended up getting thrown harshly against the wall, causing your whole body to ache all over once you finally managed to exercise the curses. You’re pretty sure you pulled a few muscles in the process, too, and the amount of scrapes and bruises you acquired since the other day has tripled. Damn Gojo.
Limping back to the train station, you check your phone. Speaking of your personal trainer, he’s been keeping you up to date with the newbies all throughout the day, though he keeps referring to the boy as ‘the vessel’. Furrowing your brow, you find it strange how he hasn’t told you the boy’s name yet, only making you believe that it probably is someone you know. There’s still a tiny sliver of you that’s hoping Gojo is just testing your deduction skills, but at this point, that’s probably not the case.
Sitting down in the first free seat you find, you text him back. Almost immediately you get a response, letting you know that the two newbies have just passed their first test and that you should be proud of your fellow students. You play along with his enthusiasm for the time being, being obviously sarcastic in your responses, but Gojo doesn’t seem to mind. In fact, it seems as if he’s amused by your reactions, only serving to irritate you further.
By the time you get back to campus, you’re drained. All you want to do is take a nice, warm shower, curl up in a ball on your bed and sleep. You don’t even care if you miss meeting the new students. That’s how your day is going so far. Besides, it’s getting late and they don’t seem to be back yet. There’s always tomorrow.
Except, you don’t get to meet them the next day, nor the day after that. It takes a full week before you even cross paths with Nobara, and even still, the meeting seems rushed. Luckily, you manage to properly introduce yourself to her the day after that one, but for some reason, Sukuna’s vessel just keeps eluding you. That, or someone is purposely keeping the two of you apart. It’s not until two weeks after that fateful day has passed that you finally get your answer.
The three first years have been tasked with handling a few curses at a juvenile detention centre while you accompany Gojo on one of his missions at the same time. You’re getting real tired of his antics, every time you ask him about the boy who’s Sukuna’s vessel he answers you either cryptically, or changes the subject. The worst is when he ignores your inquiries all together. You’re hoping to get some information out of him this evening though, otherwise you might just sneak over to ‘see’ Megumi one day and actually go to see his neighbour who just so happens to be the vessel.
Another reason why you’re in a bit of a grumpy mood recently is that Yuuji seems to be distancing himself from you. Your conversations are very dry as of late, and he doesn’t seem to want to tell you what’s going on in his life. There’s even been a few day where you’ve tried to sneak away to go visit him, but each time, Gojo has stopped you in some way or other. You’re convinced he’s hiding something, but you don’t want to accept the reality he’s been presenting to you as of late.
“(Y/n), I need you to focus,” Gojo snaps his fingers in front of your face, successfully startling you back to reality.
“Huh? Oh, sorry,” you blink a few times to clear your head, needing to focus since this is a serious task for the both of you.
“Everything okay?” He asks, the two of you now continuing to move through the labyrinth laid out before you, having yet to stumble upon any one of the four special grade curses you’re supposed to be exercising.
“Just fine,” you sigh before muttering out, “it’s not like I’m going to get answers anyways.”
“Now, now, you don’t know that for sure,” he grins, hands in his pockets as he walks beside you nonchalantly.
“Considering every time I bring up the new guy you avoid the topic, I’d say, yeah,” you peek around the corner before confirming the hallway is clear, turning back to face Gojo who already seems to be looking at you amusedly, “I do know.”
“I’m surprised you haven’t figured it out yet,” he hums.
“There’s not much to go on,” you reply.
“Oh, I believe there’s plenty,”
“Yeah, well, that’s cause you already know everything there is to know about this subject,” you huff.
“Oh, you flatter me so,” he chuckles, only causing you to roll your eyes at him in exasperation.
“Well, I suppose there is one question I have for you, teach,” you start to say, until you finally come across one of the special grade curses.
The two of you quickly press your backs against the wall, preparing to attack. Gojo gives you the go ahead to attack first, and you do, using his quick distraction of walking out and gaining the curse’s attention to sneak up on it and destroy it. No more than two minutes pass and you’ve succeeded.
“What’s the question?” Gojo calls your attention back to him as you both continue on through the hallway.
“On the day he was released, I felt a sudden wave of specialized curse energy ripple through me, almost as if there had been a part of it dormant that had suddenly been awoken,” you say, turning to look at his face in order to gage his reaction. “Is that normal, considering how far I was from the main site?”
“Hmm,” he brings a hand up to cup his chin in his fingers, contemplating the new information you’ve provided him. He only wishes you would have told him sooner. “Considering the distance and Sukuna’s total power, it’s not that surprising.” You let out a breath you didn’t realize you had been holding. “However, since at the time it was only one-twentieth of his power over that great of a distance, that is very odd. Considering that you know our reputation with strangeness in this trade, this makes it even stranger. Has it happened at any other point in time after that?”
Your brow furrows as you contemplate his question. “Actually, yeah, now that I think about it. I think it was a day or two after the initial release.”
“Huh, interesting,” he hums once more, a slight frown pulling at his lips as he considers what this means. Looks like his original hunch was correct as both these surges you’ve felt correspond with Itadori ingesting one of Sukuna’s fingers.
“What, exactly, is interesting?” You stare at him expectantly.
“Nothing you need to worry yourself with for the time being,” he assures you, just as another one of the special grade curses jumps out at the two of you. In an instant, Gojo has eliminated the threat, neither of you faltering in your steps down the hall.
“You know, sometimes I swear you take the phrase ‘having blind faith’ too seriously,” you let out a long breath.
He laughs at this, “what makes you say that?”
You just raise a brow at him in response, the look on your face enough to convey your thoughts. He laughs once more.
“Nothing wrong with having a little faith in me, you know,” he jokes as you two near the centre of the building where you can feel major curse energy pouring out.
You say nothing, opting to shake your head at him in response as you ready yourselves to enter the main room. Slowly opening the doors, you walk in, the two of you scanning the room for either of the final two curses that have still yet to show themselves.
All is silent for a few moments until you feel a pang reverberate through you, the familiar feeling of specialized curse energy flowing throughout your whole being. Your eyes widen as this one far exceeded the power of the first two.
“Hey, uh, teach?” Gojo pauses mid-step as he observes you, hearing the uncertainty in your voice. “It just happened again.”
As soon as those words leave your lips, the final two curses you’ve been hunting for pop out of nowhere and attack the both of you. The one closest to you manages to knock you into Gojo, him steadying you as the two curses near the both of you to attack.
“(Y/n), I’m sending you to where the first years are, I have a bad feeling something terrible has happened,” he says lowly in your ear.
“What? Right now?” You don’t even have time to look at him incredulously as you both jump in opposite directions to avoid the attacks of the curses.
“Right now,” he confirms. “Don’t worry about me, I can handle these two clowns.”
The curses growl at him as he says those words, with him managing to split one of them in half in the next moment.
“I wasn’t,” you reply, unamused.
“Well, best hurry, wouldn’t want Sukuna wrecking havoc,” he grins at you and something clicks in your mind.
“You’ve got to be kidding me,” you growl. “At least tell me the name of his vessel!”
“You already know it,” is the last thing you hear before your vision shifts, you now standing on a path outside in an unfamiliar area.
You mentally curse him as you collect your bearings, noticing Megumi standing across from you, facing towards you as another man stands between the two of you with his back turned to you. You’d recognize that back anywhere, not to mention the hair. Now you’re really mentally cursing your teacher.
You remain still, noticing how Megumi darts his gaze over to you as if to tell you not to move. Assessing the situation, you begin to plot your best course of action as you see drops of blood dripping onto the ground near Sukuna’s feet. A quick scope of the area has your eyes widening slightly, telling yourself to remain calm as you see a heart laying in the grass as if it was tossed carelessly off to the side.
Of course, Sukuna felt your presence before even bothering to turn to look at you. At the moment, he’s more focused on talking to Megumi, then he can deal with this newer secondary presence, no matter how familiar it seems. He can feel the eyes trailing over his back before he even sees them, but your voice has him halting his actions momentarily.
“Damn, Yuuji, I leave you alone for two weeks and you decide to get tattoos?” Your voice is light, playful even, despite the grim situation you know that you’ve been thrust into.
Megumi shoots you a cautious look as you both notice Sukuna tense slightly between the two of you, before standing up straighter and rolling his shoulders once. A chuckle escapes him, causing you and Megumi to share another concerned look between you both before his movements catch your eyes.
Sukuna would recognize that voice anywhere. Oh, how cruel fate can be.
Turning deliberately slow, he faces towards you, eyes roaming over your figure and nearly sending a shiver down your spine until they come to lock with yours. With a smirk on his features, he licks his lips, “(Y/n).”

One Piece Boys Valentines Special!
Soulmate + One Piece AU where whatever happens to your soulmate will appear on your wrist.
Pairing : One Piece Boys X GN! Reader
Happy Valentines Day Everyone!
A/N : I was listening to I need you by BTS (Clickable). It gives the love vibes. Do listen to it if you want to! You wont regret it. the feels are just everyting!
Note: in this Story it can be with any one piece boy you wish for. It can be Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Ussop, Law, Sabo, Ace, Killer, Kidd, anyone you admire. anyone you like. for some charecters it maybe OOc but, I tried to make it as close to them as possible. It will be in his POV
“This is in His POV”
As the sun rays hit my eyes, I slowly open my eyes. I grunt as I rolled to the other side of the bed. I took a deep breath and as the usual morning routine I bring my wrist close to my eyes and see what is going to happen to my soulmate today. It said, “Falls down while taking a walk and takes the attention of the complete crowd”.
Most of the times it is small normal everyday life stuff. Once it was, “Studying for Test all night”, for which I felt Super proud and other time it was “Crying because messed the exam”, on that day I was also sad because they were crying and did hard work. Once it was “being called names” and other time was, “Moving away from that place”. Not gonna lie, I was furious because they had to go through bullying.
Most of my mood depends on how my soulmate is doing that day. If I see that they are happy and cosy, I feel happy. If they are sad because of someone, I get super angry. If they are depressed, I feel sad. But yes… I fell in love with them without even noticing. I know neither their name nor face. But I do know one thing for sure. I got one hell of a person. They are amazing and I’d love them no matter what. I’m pretty sure they also like me. Because sometimes I read that they were depressed and crying because of the injuries and problems I was having. Well they could also read what was happening to me because it’s how the world is. In those times I do feel relieved and happy because they do care about me and my heart fills with that fuzzy feeling.
I let out a chuckle as I read todays happening. I know it’s wrong to laugh when someone falls down but… I couldn’t help it. “So adorable”, I say to myself as I looked at my wrist and kiss the sentence. Then I lazily woke up from the bed and continued my routine for the day.
After lunch my buddy asked me, “Man… you sure are smiling today. Something happened?” I nodded and said, “It’s just that my soulmate will be super embarrassed today, so I can’t help but laugh”. He chuckled and we talk about the upcoming works to do. That night I go to my bed and plop myself on it. I think about how my soulmate is as I smile and sleep.
The next day I see that, “Getting a crush on the new boy next door”…. ‘Wait what? Did I read it correctly?’ I thought to myself as I reread the sentence for at least 10 times. ‘Oh lord… Imma kill that jerk’, I say to myself.
I know that crushes don’t last long and yeah I know that my soulmate loves me but…. what the hell?! I can’t allow that! “IF I SEE THAT JERK IMMA BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF HIM”, I scream out loud making the people around me give me the weird look. I am so much pissed today that even the smallest things are pissing me off… ‘Is he that handsome?’, I thought to myself as I run my fingers through my hair. ‘Oh lord this jealousy doesn’t suit me. I hate this feeing’, I thought as I continued being moody for the rest of the day. I couldn’t sleep properly that night so I just stare at the night sky and keep thinking about them as I pout. I look at my wrist and whisper, “I am the only one for you. Get it to your head you idiot”.
I kept looking at my wrist and then I feel a slight sting on my wrist and I continued looking at it. Then I see that a new sentence was being formed. I have seen it many times but every time this happens it makes me so excited like a small baby. It is so magical. I read the new sentence on the wrist and blush hard. ‘Damn it’, I think to myself as I cover my face with my hand. I then again open my eyes and look at my wrist and read the sentence. ‘Continuing to be super happy because Soulmate is jealous’. I chuckle reading that sentence as my cheeks still remained pink. ‘So happy that Im jealous huh.. you little... tsk... still cute though.... Well at least now I know that you are smiling because of me’. I say and plop onto my sheets and close my eyes with a smile still lingering on my face.
After some days of normal peaceful happy days, with me and my soulmate being cheerful, I go to a new island with my buddies. It was a bright beautiful day. We explore the island, eat food and drink alcohol. Just like that the day was close to over and I was alone, walking in a park with the night sky beautifully lit with stars. Then I felt a slight sting on my wrist. I look at it waiting for the words to appear. Then, I see the words that I never expected but was waiting for the most to show up on my skin. I almost forget to breathe when I look at those words. My eyes wide open and heart beating faster than ever.
‘Meeting Soulmate’, was written on it. My eyes couldn’t believe what they were seeing. I take deep breaths and sit on the bench beside me. I was speechless. I was amazed by this. ‘but.. how am I going to recognise them? how are they going to react when they see me? Would they even like a person like me, who always gets into fights? who has lots of scars.. would they accept me? what if they reject me?’, insecurities build up with in my heart. ‘Or worst… what would happen if we don’t even recognise each other?’, I couldn’t keep my thoughts in control. the only thing Mattered was them. ‘I'll search for you. I'll confess to you. no matter how you look, no matter what your gender or pronouns are, I will try my best to find you’, I say to myself and run around the island. That was a sleepless night. I ran around all the places to find them. Asked many peoples if they were meeting their soulmate that day, but every single time I got the same response.
“No, I’m sorry”, said the person whom I just asked.
‘Where are you?’, I thought and continue to search for them. it was already evening, but I couldn’t find them. The complete day, I didn’t feel like stopping for even a second. But now…. I got to the same park again after running around the island. I had no luck finding them. ‘Where are you?’, I thought as I again sit on the same bench as yesterday… all alone still... ‘Did you see me but didn’t like me? Do you like someone else? If you did I’d know by now… where can I find you? Where are you?’, I placed my hand on my head and my elbow on my knees. ‘Did I not notice you even though we met?’, I thought some of the worst case scenarios as my tears began to fall down my cheek. I couldn’t help but sob silently. I was immersed in my thoughts then I saw a person crouch down before me with a kerchief in their hand. “Sorry to ask this when you are crying but, are you by any chance looking for your soulmate?”, they asked. I.. I was speechless so, I just showed my wrist to them, and they smiled and showed me theirs, it said, ‘Meeting your fated in the park’.
I didn’t know what to say. It was the first time I saw those shiny bright eyes and beautiful face. That was my soulmate. They got up and wiped my tears then, they said, “I’ve been waiting to meet you for a long time.”
That moment, I lost my control. I swiftly got up and pulled them into my arms. I buried my head in the crook of their neck and nodded. I felt their arms wrap around me as they rubbed soothing circles on my back. “I love you”, I confessed as they gasped.
I continued, “I know… I don’t even know your name. But… I love you. I love every single thing about you. Your kindness, your nature, your behaviour. I love how you are passionate about small things. The way you jam to the music everyone thinks is weird. The way you still be strong even after being bullied. I admire them so much. Those little traits of yours are mesmerising.", I stop and snif, then continue, "I never saw the guy who lives next door to you but I hate him with all my heart”. Then for the first time, they let out a very adorable giggle. ‘Oh... music to my ears when you laugh’, I thought.
Then we slowly pull apart. I see that their cheeks are flushed pink which was also too cute. They slowly reach up to my hand and kiss the place where the writing was making me blush. Because.. I do that many times and now, they kisses my wrist. They look into my eyes and said, “I also love you”. this made my heart flutter with happiness.
They sat down on the bench and I too obliged. We talked about all the things that we wanted to talk about and trust me my heart was about to burst when they leaned on my shoulder and continued talking with me. Thank you for being my soulmate, Y/N.
XOXOXOXOXO

Not So New Afterall (Sdv Sebastian x F!Reader)
A/n: Sebastian might be a little OOC, but trauma really turns someone 180 degrees, don’t you agree?
PLUS! I changed a few things in the previous chapter, I’m sorry!! The structure of everyone’s house should differ a little, since we need a bathroom and all--
CHAPTER SIX
A few knocks were heard rapping on his door. Unfamiliar with the rhythm, Sebastian answered “Come in” without a second thought.
Too preoccupied with his computer, he never realized who actually walked in his room. But with the way the visitor remained quiet and respectful, he was sure it wasn’t Sam or Abigail nor his mother. He peeked over his computer and was met with (e/c) eyes before going back to his work.
“Oh, hey. Gimme one sec,” he greeted shortly before increasing his typing speed on the computer, determined to finish his work as soon as possible to talk with the (h/c) girl that had walked in.
After a few minutes of the sound of typing, he spoke up. “Okay,” he breathed out in relief. “Sorry about that. I just needed to finish what I was working on,” he said, leaning and stretching himself on the chair.
(Y/n) walked over to him, peering at the screen of his computer. Sebastian was clicking on a few options, saving what he was doing.
“What are you working on?” she asked, watching the screen that was incredibly detailed with coding terms. It was really complicated to look at, nowhere near ready to be able to read nor create one of her own. He was truly a master at this.
“I do freelance work as a programmer,” he said before turning his gaze over to the girl. Then, the hand on the mouse stopped clicking. His face turned pale as the memories from last night’s occurrence begin to race his mind once more.
“Sebastian?” asked (Y/n), her smile dropped in confusion.
He didn’t hear her. In her place, he saw the lively younger (Y/n), her (e/c) shining brightly and signature childish smile across her lips. And before his eyes, the perfect image of the girl he once loved was replaced with the gory scene of her accident. Panic began to well in his chest, his breathing began to get irregular, he--
He was stopped by a warm sensation on his cheek. He gasped, his mind becoming clear once more. (Y/n)’s face was painted with an expression of confusion and concern. Her hand was placed on his cheek, softly cupping the soft flesh.
“Sebastian? What’s wrong?” she asked once more, her eyes scanning every inch of his face to get somewhat an answer what was happening.
Sebastian began to take in his surroundings, taking in that he was safe in his room, the warmth on his face keeping his steady and calm. This wasn’t the past, this was reality. Without realizing, he reached for the warmth on his face without actually knowing what it is, placing his hand on hers.
“Wh-what? How are you still alive?” he whispered out without giving a second to his thoughts.
Confusion etched onto (Y/n)’s face from the question. “What do you mean?” she asked, herself panicking. Was she supposed to be dead? What happened to him?
“You...the accident. The...the truck. All that blood. How are you still alive?!” he said, his eyes watering. “Don’t you remember? Your scar! I...we....that game! Then...then..” he stammered. He was starting to break down.
“Sebastian! Calm down!” (Y/n) exclaimed, her hands moving to his shoulders. Giving them a tight squeeze, she stared back straight into his eyes. “I’m alive! I’m safe, alright? I’m right here.”
“It’s okay,” she said softly, kneeling down next to him. He was starting to cool down, but his eyes never left hers. “It’s gonna be okay. I’m right here. I’m alive and healthy, aren’t I?” she asked with a soft smile.
“Yeah,” he said, his breaths getting more even. “But...I need to know,” he said, latching his hands on her wrists that held his shoulders. “Where did you get those scars?” he began to compose himself.
“Like I told you yesterday. I got it from when I was a kid back then,” she said, the small smile never leaving her face.
“I said where, not when (Y/n),” he said sternly. Sebastian’s grip tightened slightly on the petite maiden’s limbs. They were quite sturdy and stiff from all the farm work, but he bet beneath the long-sleeved (f/c) shirt she wore was two arms beginning to gain biceps, or they were already there.
The (h/c)-haired female visibly gulped. The smile she wore came down, before she looked down in guilt. She let out a sheepish chuckle, a small wistful smile on her lips.
“I won’t lie nor deny, but I think I understand what you said a moment ago,” she said. “I was--”
“Sebastian?” Robin asked as she came into the room. On instinct, Sebastian let go of (Y/n)’s arms and the latter shot straight up. Both of them awkward at the sudden intrusion of the ginger.
The said woman walked into the room and looked at her son and the farmer in his room. “Oh, hi (Y/n)!” she chirped cheerfully. “Sebby, I know that you don’t like it when I come in here, but I ran into Abigail at the store and she said she was looking for you,” the older woman said.
The raven-haired boy groaned a little, already having to go to Sam’s to hang out, and now Abigail? He ran a hand down his face. “Did you tell her I’m working?” he asked. Crush or not, it didn’t matter who it was when he was working.
“I did, but she said she’d probably stop by anyway,” the ginger said, quite sorry for interrupting her son when he was working. Her son sighed. “No one takes my job seriously.”
“No one bothers Maru when she’s working at the clinic...does everyone think I just surf the web all day?” he complained aloud as his mother walked out of the room, leaving the two. Although she had a little thought nagging in her mind when she laid her eyes on the two.
As the ginger left, a notification sound clicks in. He picks up his phone. “Ah, another emergency module needs to be made. Don’t think I’m kicking you out, (Y/n), but apparently I need to get this module done by tomorrow,” he apologized, getting up from his seat.
“We’ll talk more later, okay?” he told her as he easily loomed over her smaller figure. “I come out during evenings to clear my head, so come by then,” he said with a small smile on his lips. “And you can tell me my answer then.”
“Alright then,” (Y/n) said simply. She knew his work wasn’t one to joke with. She was lucky she never wanted to step into the programming world. “I’ll see you then. Good luck and don’t stress out too much, you hear me?” she wished before leaving the room.
Instead of leaving the mountains, (Y/n) figured that she could probably stop by Abigail’s and hang for a while. She took one last glance at the house Robin built, before she was well on her way.
“Mom?” Sebastian called, as he stepped out of his room a few hours later. His mom was looking back at her blueprints, looming at what she could improvise and improve. But from the voice of her son, she raised her head.
“Yeah? What’s up, honey?” she asked, a bright smile on her face. Her son coming out of his room was a good thing, but for some reason, she felt a little...guilt piling up in her stomach since the past few days.
“Did...(Y/n) come here before?” he asked his mother, but she looked a little confused at his question. “Yeah? I mean, not after she stopped by your room, though,” she answered, although that wasn’t the answer that he wanted.
“No, I meant has she come here before actually moving here?” he rephrased his question, catching his mother off guard. She debated with herself within her own thoughts. What sort of answer should she give him? What good would it be?
But she knew, deep down in her heart she wasn’t able to hide the truth from him forever. Eventually he had to find out. Especially since the girl had moved here.
“Yes...she did,” she answered with a soft smile on her lips, her gaze down.
But it was sooner than she expected.
“Wh...what happened after the accident?” he asked before Robin pointed to the seat in front of her counter, gesturing her son to take a seat as they went further into this matter. “What happened...?”
“You were terribly shaken up after the accident,” she said, placing a hand on her son’s face, just as (Y/n) had done earlier. “She comes to visit the valley every Fall to stay with her grandfather during the school break. She usually would stay for a few weeks, but it had been cut down to two since some things came up.”
“You were really upset that day, the last day she was here. You were really attached to her, y’know?” she chuckled, quite amused with the way her son used to act around the (h/c)-haired girl. “You would be so shy around her, the two of you holding hands all the time if she wasn’t with Abby.
“So you told me what was bothering you, then I told you to just man up and tell her,” she giggled as she saw her son’s face turn beet red. “But...” she sighed. “It failed horribly, don’t you think?
“When you were sent to the hospital, we tailed along with Pam in her bus, right behind the ambulance. We were parted when you were taken into the ER, with all your friends. But when I came to see you, you...had another look in your eyes. You were really....unresponsive from the accident.
“When I saw the blood and little (Y/n) on the ground, I froze in place. I couldn’t imagine how it must’ve been for you, when you witnessed it first hand,” the mother said. “You were so closed off and reserved after that. And...at the hospital, (Y/n)’s parents fought with all of us, but (Y/n) intervened before things got worse. The fight had let you to hate adults, and that was right after an accident. You were burdened wit trauma and distress, and I only had myself to blame.”
“Soon after, you all never remembered (Y/n). But you all grew up with the unrealizing trauma that had been locked in your mind. It’s like...you grew up differently because of the trauma, but you never knew about the trauma. But you did see things differently after without realizing it,” the ginger said, perking the interest of her son.
“You had grown to love frogs because both of you were stuck Leah’s house, way before she moved in. There was an injured frog and the both of you brought it to her grandfather. Those were one of the little things that you had forgotten, because you had sealed all your memories of her unconsciously,” Robin explained, as her son looked at the wooden counter, taking in all the information.
“Then....if I said I liked Abby...” he began, slightly cringing at his question. “You had replaced (Y/n) with Abby in your mind, since she was closest to her. But you never have forgotten her now, have you?” she asked her son.
Evening rolled by and Sebastian stepped out of his house at 6:30 like he did everyday. And as he promised, he was waiting for (Y/n) by the lake. He thought about the words he was going to say to her and the questions he was going to ask when she got here.
“Now that she’s here, what do I do?” he asked his mother, making her chuckle. ”Do you still like her?”
‘Where is she?’ he thought. If she was anything like when she was younger, she would always be on time. She was never late for a promise, but if she had inevitable matters then it wouldn’t hurt to wait a few moments, right?
Sebastian nodded slightly with a burning red face. His eyes looking down at the wooden counter to avert from coming in contact with his mom’s bright green own. But the chuckle that escaped his mother’s lips only shamed him further.
After taking out a cigarette from the box, he proceeded to fish his lighter. But when he got that out, he saw the slow movements of (h/c) crawling out of the mines.
“I’m not sure if...she knew what happened during that timeline, but if she doesn’t, don’t pressure her to remember, alright?”
Sebastian’s lighter fell out of his hand, dropping straight into the lake. His dark eyes raised to look at the figure trudging out of the dark caverns.
“But if you’re sure it won’t hurt her,”
It was a girl with messy and disheveled (h/c)-hair, trailing down her (b/p). Her (s/c) face had reverted to a pale shade and her (e/c) eyes were quite dull and exhausted, as if she were to pass out any second. But what pulled his attention the most...
“Tell her how you truly feel, Sebby!”
Was the huge triple-gash that had scrapped itself on her right side, blood dripping heavily from the wound.
“(Y/N)!!!”
The dark-haired male ran over to the said female, catching her in his arms before she could collapse forward. He pulled her back so that she was leaning on his arm on her back.
She had passed out cold, scratches he didn’t see earlier revealed to be littering her face without any mercy. There was a larger one beneath her eye. He had no time for this. The amount of blood she was bleeding was immense. And he had to do something about it before sending her to Harvey,
Or it’ll be too late...
He had no time for pessimistic thoughts. She was going to survive. She was going to LIVE! He had to think fast. He placed her on the ground carefully before taking off his hoodie, thanking Yoba he was wearing a white shirt beneath. He wrapped the dark-colored material around the unconscious girl’s abdomen, tying the arms of the shirt on the opposite area of the injury.
Sebastian hoisted (Y/n) once more in his arms, resting her head on his right arm to avoid the injury colliding with his abdomen as he lifted her. Feeling her on his bare skin, he realized how cold she was. Did she go into the colder parts of the mines in this thin shirt? Without proper warming, her movement must’ve slowed incredibly if she was able to get such injuries.
He knew he had no time to run down to Harvey’s. He wasn’t even sure if the doctor was even in the house! He had to settle for the second best option, as much as he hated it. Sebastian grit his teeth before running back to his house.
He knocked on the door, since his hands were occupied with the girl in his hold. Luckily his mother hadn’t stepped out of the house yet since she needed to clean up somethings before she headed out.
Hearing the knock, Robin opened the door, green eyes wide with fright at the figure her son was holding. “Is Maru home?” Sebastian huffed out as he stepped into the wooden building.
“No, but she should be on her way home,” Robin said rushing right behind him. “I’ll go get her and Harvey, you bring her to your room,” the ginger said before she left to find her daughter.
“Damnit, (Y/n)! Why must you always be so darn injured?!” he huffed at the unconscious girl. He placed her on his soft mattress and held her soft but cold right hand.
“I won’t let you go this time,” Sebastian promised, taking off her backpack to let her be more comfortable. He placed it next to his table, grabbing his chair and sat right next to the girl, tightening the shirt around her before taking her slim hand back into his.
“Please, please just hang in there. They’ll be here anytime soon...” he whispered, drawing circles onto the back on her hand using his thumb. As if on cue, the door burst open and thundering of feet was heard before the door to his room was thrown open.
There, stood Maru and Harvey, quite out of breath from running, and behind them was a panicking Robin.
“Maru...” Sebastian whispered, feeling relieved for the first time to see his sister. But his sister’s expression turned into horror as she and Harvey ran down to the pale girl.
Harvey took one look at (Y/n) before nodding to Maru.
“We need to perform an emergency surgery on her.”

Anniversary Special
Summary: The 65th Anniversary Special for the Warner Siblings happens. Yakko learns some things that, in the end, don't matter.
Words: 1808
Warnings: talk of the canonical neglect of the warners : i am staring at the water tower :, mention of attempted murder? that is. kinda it.
Notes: I watched the 65th Anniversary Special of the original Animaniacs yesterday. I had some feelings and shoved them on through Yakko tgyhu They’re probably OOC as I have never written the Warners before. I threw in the beginning of the story from Wakko’s Wish in here because I thought it’d be cute. and I also have no idea when they actually started working on the movie. we out here.
AO3
This wasn’t beta-ed... or like. yeah. It’s probably got a few mistakes in it because I did start this at 1am today. but yeah.
He shouldn't have been surprised as he was, not that it was clear he was surprised about anything. Yakko was drawn an actor and, even though he can't die, he likes to say he'll die one too. It's just... everyone knew they were in the water tower. Everybody. Other toons, the staff, the big man upstairs too.. probably. Everyone except the public seemed to know they were locked up in a water tower for sixty years of their toony lives.
He can't express his anger, of course, it's their 65th Anniversary Special! He should be celebrating sixty-five years of wonderful time with everyone, not wishing he hadn't spent most of them locked away with his siblings.
Yet here he is. About to explode he's so upset.
Yakko always thought maybe the other toons were working on trying to free them and such other things. They were fellow toons! Trapping children in a space with nothing but their half-formed hammerspaces and imaginations in a fucking water tower isn't how toons should be treated. He'd hoped someone, maybe Bugs, the very face of the company, had tried to get them free or something, you know? But no.
In the end, it seemed everyone at Warner Bros was happy to have been rid of them for sixty glorious, glorious years. Not a full sixty, though, they still got to be free one day every few years so the tower could be checked for termites and whatever. He never bothered to listen to what they were let out for because it honestly never mattered. For one day, even if it be only every few years, he got to be somewhere else.
That was something they all had always looked forward to. Running around in search of new things. Everything was always changing and it was so hard to keep track of it all when you only get to see snippets of it every few years. But it was okay! Even if they always got caught at the end of the day after the company was done doing god knows what, they still at least got to see something new. Something exciting.
Yakko grabbed his siblings' hands in an attempt to pull himself away from his thoughts as if they wouldn't just return later in the night when they got back home. Back to the tower.. back in his ball pit. For now, though? He might as well enjoy what was left of the show, as much as his revelation hurt him. He really did hold onto the hope the other toons would try and free them.
Honestly, when they were first locked away, he'd thought it was a joke. He sat there for almost two months just waiting for the punchline to kick off. He'd only actually thought that because everyone just seemed so excited and happy when they were put in the tower.. he wanted to hold onto that, not that he was able to for long.
When he'd looked back up at the screen he saw Daffy, talking about their original nonsensical cartoon. The one about the flypaper or whatever it was. Complaining about how it went on for eight hours. This was kinda rude to show at an event that was supposed to celebrate them, right? It felt rude at least. Whatever.
He just squeezed his siblings' hands and ignored the show, seeing as nothing good had come from actually watching it so far.
--------------------
Hours later, he couldn't sleep. The night had gotten better after they got back home. After Buddy tried to kill them out of jealousy for his old, ruined reputation, and after he'd found that no one cares about them stuck in the tower. You'd think Yakko would be a little more shaken up about the dying thing, but no.
It seems he was the only one not able to sleep so far, as he could hear Dot moving around in her sleep above him, and Wakko making noises in their sleep on the top bunk. He'd probably wake them up so they could all sleep together if that didn't just make him feel a little iffier. He was the oldest, right? The oldest doesn't need to ask his younger siblings if they could all sleep together because he couldn't just sleep alone. That's stupid.
He just gave up and got up. Wakko would probably be up soon, as the middle child always got up for something at some point in the night. Dot would follow after Wakko accidentally wakes her up, etc etc. Yakko probably knew his siblings better than anything, more than any song he's had to memorize the lyrics for or the very backs of his paws.
He placed any balls that had fallen out when he got up back in his ball pit bed, rubbing his eyes and wandering off in the dark towards their little kitchen. He might as well wait there... it's where everyone ended up at some point in the night.
--------------------
A few hours later, give or take, Yakko heard the unmistakable sound of Wakko climbing down the bunk bed ladder and making their way around the water tower. They sometimes sleep-ate or talked.. or walked.. so if that ended up being the case tonight then he'd wake up Wakko, but only then.
He'd pulled a light out of hammerspace to read with, but ended up messing around with and breaking it. How he broke the light didn't exactly matter as he saw, heard more than anything, his sibling finally stumble into the kitchen.
What really sucked about the dark was, even if they were supposed to be animals and such, they had terrible night vision. It didn't help with gags, and they weren't any specific animal, so they didn't have the luxury of most other toons when it came to the dark. That was what really got him about being stuck in the dark for so long.
He squinted at the other toon from his spot at the kitchen table, only to find he was being squinted at back.
"What're you doin' up?" Was the only thing he found Wakko saying, who now standing in the doorway and waiting for an answer.
Now obviously he can't just answer with "Oh I was thinking about all our time stuck in here with no clear way of being able to ever leave" because that's upsetting. This was one of the last people he could ever find himself trying to upset, not that'd he'd want to go and just do that anyway. It's against his very purpose as a toon, isn't it?
"Just couldn't sleep. Thought I'd come in here and run into you sooner or later, you know? Did you wake up Dottie?"
Both brothers knew never to call their sister Dottie, it was Dot or Princess Angelina Contessa Louisa Francesca Banana Fanna Bo Besca the Third, and she made sure it stayed that way.. but it didn't seem she'd wake up yet tonight. Maybe later. It should, at least, be safe to joke about until then.
Wakko seemed to accept that answer as they continued their journey to the fridge, blinding a very tired Yakko when they opened it. They pulled out a giant cake from god knows where before going over to sitting across from their brother.
"I didn't hear her getting up this time. Just her normal movin' around. Did you wanna talk to her or somethin'?" Is what Yakko finally got in response, but only after Wakko had taken a huge bite out of the cake.. as well at their plate.
He just shook his head, laying it down on his arms. "Thought maybe we could spend the day after our 65th Anniversary Special doing something together. Only if you guys want to, of course."
It took longer to get a response, as Wakko had just swallowed the cake and plate whole, which wasn't anything new. "Maybe you could tell Dot the story from that script we got a few days ago. She'd like getting to practice.."
"I'd like to get to tell you both the story, even if it's mostly about Dot. You're not there for it in the movie, are you?"
Wakko just shook their head, laying it on their arms as their brother had done a bit before.
"Well, that just can't do. How about.. we all sleep in my ball pit tonight. You could go grab Dot after you're finished snacking, and I'll see about finding those scripts to look back over, yeah?"
Wakko nodding along, seeming pretty happy with the idea before running off to get their sister.
While Wakko did that and about got their fingers bitten off for it, Yakko just continued to sit there, looking happier than he had earlier. Not that anyone could see his face. Wakko probably knew he didn't have to look over his lines but agreed so he could be alone a little longer, or maybe they were just that tired. He didn't care which.
Yakko probably needed Wakko and Dot more than they needed him. He was okay with that, but it's not something he'd tell them. All that mattered right now was getting to his siblings before Dot or Wakko got impatient and came looking for him, which he was completely fine with doing.
He stepped into the little spot they'd sectioned off from the rest of the water tower and called a room before clearing his throat, which he mostly did just to let them know he'd finally gotten back.
"Dot, if you didn't murder Wakko over your 'cutie sleep', I'm gonna go ahead and say sorry for waking you up. If Wakko did perish by your hand I'm taking it back."
That was mostly a joke. They'd never kill over sleep, not usually at least. Dot did just get annoyed if woken up for almost any reason.
He slid into the ball pit he, for some reason unknown to him, called a bed. The last time they were out he found some kind of time-traveling dohickey Brain had made for one of his failed schemes and decided to go and mess around for a bit. See what the future was like. Just found some ball pit laying in the middle of some convention hall.
He can't remember what it was called now (Mashcon? Stashcon? Dashcon??) and it didn't matter. What mattered now is he could feel both of his siblings with him that he needed to start on a story for.
"Alright, you two. Here we go," he cleared his throat again, with no real need to... again. "Once upon a time, a brave knight married a beautiful princess-"
Yeah. This would turn out okay, even if he wasn't too happy with the other toons right now. He'd always be just fine with these two. That's all that was important.

coffee and cupcakes. [dabi x barista!reader]
Genre:Fluff/ a smidge of angst
Summary: Dabi is a regular at the coffee shop you work at. You become a bit concerned about his coffee drinking. (coffee shop AU, no quirks/heroes/villians)
A/N: Some Dabi content for y’all! I never see much of him here and he deserves so much love 🥺Sorry if he seems OOC here, it’s gonna get better trust me!
Wordcount: 1343
(P.S. I wrote a part two to this, read it here!)
"Three shots of espresso? Are you sure?” You ask, you pen faltering on the paper cup, trying to make sense of the order you just received as you looked up at the black haired boy in front of you with an incredulous look.
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure,” he replies, looking at you with a nonchalant expression.
“That’s not very good for your health,” you say, hesitantly writing down his order on the cup, “how are you even going to sleep?”
“Look, I'm paying you for it and you’re getting paid to make the order. Don’t worry about it-”he looks down at your nametag and smirks- “Y/N.”
You sigh, glancing up at him. “Alright, I won’t provoke you anymore. Name please?”
“Are you trying to hit on me, Y/N?” he responds swiftly. You glare at him, a look of disbelief on your face. “I need your name for the order, sir,” you say.
“Dabi.” You nod as you write down him name on the cup, then swiftly taking his money before going off to make his drink.
“Americano for Dabi,” you call out, putting the cup on the counter. “Thanks, Y/N, he says, waving at you as he grabs the drink and turns to leave the shop. You reluctantly bid him goodbye as you watch him exit the shop.
Dabi steps out of the shop and onto the streets, strolling, warming his hands with the warm cup, pausing when he noticed writing on the cup and lifting it up to read the writing.
“Take care of yourself, you should really cut down on the caffeine.” it said, accompanied by a clumsy drawing of an angry cupcake. He chuckled at the drawing before returning to his usual pace.
I definitely didn’t write that because i think he’s cute, you tell yourself, nodding firmly as if it would change anything. It’s only because he was being a weirdo. Definitely.
“No, Dabi. I am not making this order again,” you tell the scarred boy in front of you, placing your hands on your hips as glare up at him with the most menacing look you could put on. Clearly it didn’t work very well, since all he did was laugh at you. “I already told you yesterday, it’s not good for you.”
“And I told you,” he responds, putting his money on the counter and sliding it towards you, “that I’m a paying customer and you don’t decide what I can or can’t order, cupcake.”
You huff in defeat, choosing to ignore the nickname, instead grabbing his money and leaving to go make his drink, the actions practically muscle memory to you at this point after working there for so long.
“Order for Dabi,” you say, pushing the drink towards him as he approached the counter. “Thanks, cupcake,” he says, flashing you a smirk as he took the drink from you, “see you again sometime soon, cupcake.”
You roll your eyes at him, swatting him away. “Don’t call me that,” you tell him. He only waves at you as he pushes the door open and steps outside.
The raven glances at his cup, lifting it up to see if you had written anything again today. Sure enough, there was a message again, along with the cupcake that was hastily scribbled on.
“Drink less coffee if you don’t want to die at thirty,” it said, with another angry cupcake glaring at him from the cup. He smiled at the aggressively caring message, pulling out his phone to snap a photo of it before continuing on his way.
“Dabi,” you sigh, not even bothering to argue with him anymore. “I’m not making it. I don’t care if you’re a paying customer or not, I have the right to refuse. I don’t want to contribute to you destroying your body.Either order something else, or just go.”
Dabi had been coming into your coffee shop at around the same time for weeks now, never failing to order the same thing that always had you looking at him, concern clear on your face.
His eyes widen from hearing you so defeated and telling him to leave. He stands there in silence for a while, before turning and leaving without a word.
You sigh as you feel yourself slumping a little, the guilt from seeing the flash of hurt in his eyes curling in your stomach. Sure, it was nice to see him everyday, but having to feed him so much caffeine just to do that would just hurt him in the future. You quickly go back into customer service mode as you hear the doorbell chime, preparing to take another customer’s order.
It had been three days since Dabi lasted showed up, but it was already starting to affect you.
Without him, your time at work seemed to become a continuous stretch of boredom. Without even realizing it, you had begun to look foward to him showing up in your dainty coffee shop every day, his appearance and piercings in stark contrast to the cozy interior of the coffee shop, and yet he always looked so comfortable and used to the atmosphere. There were never many customers here, since there was a popular coffee chain with a shop just two blocks away from yours that served overpriced, burnt coffee. If people wanted to pay double the price for a cup of burnt coffee, that was their loss.
“Decaf Americano, cupcake.”
Your head snaps up as you hear the familiar nickname, snapping you out of the monotonous routine you had took on while working without even noticing.
“Dabi,” you breathe, unsure of if he was actually here. “Miss me, Y/N?” he teases, and yet neither of you could stop the soft smiles that overtook your faces. “What happened to the triple shots?” you ask, quickly grabbing a cup and writing the order down. “Well, you don’t like it when I do that, do you,” he begins, as you look up at him, surprised. “The coffee over at (coffee shop name) was trash. Your coffee really is the best.”
You flush red as you hear him compliment you, offering him a small smile as you gently push away the money he had in his hand.
“It’s on me. I wasn’t the nicest to you last time. I’m sorry,” you say, quickly stepping off to brew the coffee so that the black haired boy wouldn’t be able to argue with you.
Just as you were about to call out his order, you suddenly come up with an idea, hurrying over to the sweets you had on display and grabbing a cupcake, hastily scrawling your number on on the bag you put it in.
“Order for Dabi,” you call out, feeling a wave of happiness crash over you as you called out his name. It felt so familiar; the way his name rolled off you tongue.
“Oh? I didn’t order this, cupcake,” he says as he eyes the bag you held in your hand along with his coffee. “Just take it,” you say, pushing it into his hands, careful not to spill the coffee.
Swiftly, he grabs the cup and inspects it. “No kind words of encouragement today, Y/N?” he asks, and you laugh and shake your head. “You’ll see,” you replied, waving at him as he left the shop, a warm feeling in your stomach.
[8.53 pm]
Unknown: You know, I split the three shots with my friends
Unknown: Thanks for the cupcake though.
Unknown: Want to meet up after your shift tomorrow, cupcake?
You giggle in excitement as you see the texts flash across your phone screen, heart racing in your chest as you quickly unlock your phone and type out a reply.
You: of course, can’t wait to see u again <3
Sure, maybe you did write the messages on his cup because you thought he was cute. But it worked out just the way you wanted it to, so you could count that as a win for yourself, you thought as you cheered softly.

Anniversary
(Roman Sionis x Reader)
Requested by: @stardancerluv
Warnings: Gramatical Errors, Swearing, OOC Roman, OOC Victor
Summary: Roman and (Y/n) have their 5th anniversary and (Y/n) would want to spend it only with Roman in their apartment. Roman is used to give her tons of gifts and take her into expensive restaurants. But this time he calls Victor for help.
(A/n): Sorry it took me so long to write it, but here it is. Hope you will enjoy it 💜
Getting up from bed early morning wasn't your favourite thing. Today was a big day. It was yours and Romans 5th anniversary. Getting up from bed, you nearly tripped over a big gift packed in blue paper with little hearts all over it. Roman loved to give you expensive gifts, not just on anniversary but every day. And if you two had anniversary, or if it was valentine, birthday, christmas or any other festive day, Roman always nearly drowned you in gifts. Not just one... Many of them. On last anniversary he bought you car, dresses which matched with his suits, vacation in Paris and many more. You were always happy, but you weren't materialistic type so you always told Roman that he doesn't have to buy you such expensive things. He always explained that making you happy, makes him happy too.
You already packed few gifts for him, but you were sure that he has much much more gifts for you. Not like it was an competition, you wanted to enjoy this day with Roman and only Roman.
As you opened the gift with big bow, you found inside beautifull dresses your favourite collor and high heels shoes matching with them, which were packed in box next to those dresses.
You smiled, becouse Roman also left a note on them.
My dearest (Y/n),
I bought you these dresses on our special day, hope you like them. Please meet me in club, at the place we first met. I'll be waiting.
R.B.S.
You put your pajamas down, putting on fancy dress and shoes. After you dressed you went to have some breakfast in kitchen. Roman wasn't there but that was no surprise, he never ate breakfast, only if you made them for him.
He would never reject your delicious food.
On the counter was another gift, new mug with hearts in which was written in initals R+(Y/n). It was so cute that your heart nearly melted. The food was also prepared on it. That was probably Victor's job.
You took the dishes with mug and went to dining room.
"Hey, (Y/n)," Victor greeted you and sat next to you.
"Hey Vic, how are you?" you asked him, slowly sipping tea from new mug.
"I'm good, happy anniversary by the way," he smiled and pointed on the mug, "It's from Roman."
"Yeah thanks, this is so cute," you smiled at both, mug and Victor, "I just wish he... I don't know," you gasped.
"What's wrong (Y/n)," Victor watched your worried expresion.
"I don't want to sound ungrateful, but sometimes I wish he was romantic the other way," you said.
"How?" Victor asked, he was lost in these romantical things.
"Like...Something sweet, not big that would involve just the two of us," you said thinking, "I'm not saying that these gifts are not sweet. They are very sweet, but... You know what I have in mind."
"Yea-No..." Victor mumbled.
"Remember how he bought me tickets to concert?
"Yeah, it was nice," Victor smiled. He met somebody there, but didn't wanted to speak about it.
"But you know... Just for once. Tonight we will probably go to the best restaurant in Gotham," you smiled slowly collecting your dishes from table.
"And if I understand it, you don't want to go," Victor said.
"Well, it's not like I was ungrateful, but you are maybe right. I would like to spend the time with him here, watching movies together, cooking together, I don't know," you said.
"Yeah, I think I understood," Victor said, collecting his dishes.
"Okay, I have to go," you waved to Victor and left to club.
Roman was sitting on the couch you two first met years ago. He was wearing his best suit, smiling at you, like the first time he saw you. Little blush spread across your cheeks when you sat next to him.
"Hi babygirl, how you like these dresses," Roman smiled, pulling you closer to him.
"Roman, I love them, thank you! And thank you for the mug, it so cute," you hugged him and gave him a kiss.
"I have much, much more for you, don't worry," Roman laughed teasing you becouse he knew your oppinion on expensive gifts and you rolled eyes.
"Boss, I... Henry is here," Victor strolled across the club and tapped Roman at shoulder.
"Victor, I... We are celebrating something," Roman frowned on Victor.
"..." Victor was waiting on Roman, speechless.
"Honey, if it's so important I don't mind," you said and gave him kiss. You knew who was Henry, it was one of Romans bussines friends.
"Are you sure babe?" Roman asked and you nodded. Roman smiled and walked with Victor away to the main entry hall of club.
You stayed in club, looking at your phone in thoughts. This is probably going to take hours and hours.
Meanwhile in the entry hall, Victor and Roman exited the club, going to the stage doors back to apartment.
"Thanks for reminding Victor. I nearly forgot," Roman said opening the fridge and taking out of it food.
"She wasn't picking up the food in fr-"
"The fridge? No, I prepared it on the kitchen counter next to your mug," Victor said.
"Great, bring me the bag with projector and technical stuff," Roman said and closed the fridge, "And maybe some picnic basket for the food."
"On my way boss," Victor yelled and ran for these things.
Roman hoped that this idea, which Victor gave him few years back will go well. You were telling that he didn't had to be so generous towards you, that you are not materialistic person. But always when he gave you some gifts, he saw that your eyes sparkled and you were geniuenly happy. He loved seeing you happy.
You were waiting in club, used to these things. Roman had to have some important things to do, that was his work. It came in unexpected times and you completely respected that. He was so bussy that sometimes he just came home at midnight and laid next to you on bed exhausted. He always woke you up, it was not becouse he wanted but his steps were echoing through the whole apartment. When he came exhausted like that, you used to pull him closer to you and play with his hair untill he didn't fall asleep in your arms. He looked so innocent when he slept in your arms.
Your thoughts were interupted with familiar man walking around in club. Where was Roman if Henry was here?
You put your phone back to bag and headed to Henry.
"Henry, welcome in club," you smiled, like nothing was happening.
"Mrs. Sionis," Henry smiled.
"Oh, I already told you to call me (Y/n). Romans friends are also my friends," you were still smiling, "Speaking of Roman, didn't he had some meeting with you today?"
"No, no we met yesterday. Why are you asking?"
You took a deep breath, "Nevermind. Enjoy your time here Henry," smiling, you took a drink from passerby waitress and turned to leave. When you turned away from Henry, your smile fastly dropped and on your face appeared wicked smirk.
It was time for preparations.
"Victor we have to prepare it fast. I don't like the thought of my dearest (Y/n) waiting on me in the club while we should spend that time together," Roman mumbled, walking up to the roof of Black Mask club. Victor was right behind him, taking the basket with food, huge case with projector, candles, radio and blankets. Roman took four pillows and that was all.
"Yeah, yeah boss," Victor nodded, carefully putting the stuff down on roof.
After he put it down, from somewhere sounded the song Everybody loves me-One Republic. Victor lifted eyebrows, while Roman serached for his phone.
Victor smirked, turning his head away from Roman's sight, so he wouldn't see Victors quiet laugh.
After Roman finaly found his phone, he picked it up.
It was you, calling him.
"Hey honey, I have to do also some work, I hope you don't mind. I'll be back as soon as I can. When you finish your job, you know, that appointment with Henry, call me or something," you said.
"Yeah, It's okay babe, I'll wait. Love you," Roman told.
"Love you too honey," you said and cancelled the call.
You didn't knew that somewhere above you are Victor and Roman. They also had no idea that you are under the building, next to the car ready to go for Roman's gift.
You had few gifts for him. Tailor texted you that you can go to pick up the gift for Roman.
Driving through the Gotham City you saw many couples which held hands, hugged and kissed. Your mind was on Roman, what was he doing if he didn't talked with Henry? Maybe something in warehouse... He just didn't wanted to tell you that becouse of the anniversary. Yeah, probably.
"No, Victor you have to put it like this!" Roman yelled on Victor, who was putting the pillows around the blanket on roof.
"Well, you can do it boss. Just land me over that projector," Victor said. Roman was preparing the projector and screen, but he struggled with it more than Victor with decorating.
"Yeah, sure," Roman nodded and placed few candles around the blanket, "You know what Victor... I'm gonna go for another blanket."
"Sure boss," Victor mumbled and whistled as he slowly build pieces of screen together.
Parking in front of tailor shop, you made sure you had sunglasses and cap. You were sorta famous in city, mostly becouse of Roman. Paparazzi were all over the city and you didn't wanted drawing attention now. Roman made sure these people with cameras wouldn't be following you all the time, but there was still more and more of them.
You entered the shop and came to counter.
"Mrs. Sionis," older man greeted you and waved at you.
"Oh- I hoped this would sorta..." you pointed on cap and sunglasses. Surprised that he recognized you.
"I expected you," said the man confused.
"Oh, right," you laughed, "So, I am here becouse of that suit, is it finished?"
"Yes, I wrote it in the text."
Well, this was an uncomfrontable comunication. You cringed at your previous words, but decided to continue confidently.
"Yes, can I see it?"
"Sure, sure," he slowly went to the back of the shop.
You were anxiously tapping with feet, looking at the expensive watches that you got from Roman last year.
"It's here," he told, putting the suit on the counter. It was truly magnificent.
"I hope you got the size right," you mumbled, sliding your fingers across the velvet suit. It was Roman's favourite collor, he didn't had suit like this and he still talked about how much he wanted it.
Your second gift for him was waiting in the trunk of your car.
"Victor, I found five blankets and I couldn't pick just one so I brought them all," Roman came to rooftop, putting those blankets and ground, looking on Victor. Roman was surprised, Victor actually builded the projector and the screen in such short period of time.
"How did you managed to build it so fast?"
"I had a good teacher," Victor smirked.
"Are you talking about the mysterious person from the concert?"
"Maybe," Victor mumbled and looked around, "You know that you need to have computer to play those movies."
"Sure," Roman said and pointed at doors, "Go and get it mister technician."
Running to the car, you put the velvet suit in already prepared big gift box in the trunk, next to the second gift. After closing the trunk you looked on the phone and texted Roman.
Hey honey, I'm going home. Everything is alright in fact great. I can't wait to see you soon <3
-(Y/n). S.
How you sent this message, you drove back to club, parking your car on the usual spot.
Roman looked on his phone and opened your message. He loved to see your initials under it. He also wanted to buy you gloves with your initials. Roman still wants, but not now, he may save that for later. Maybe christmas...
He texted you back.
My dear (Y/n) I can't wait to see you. I'm dealing with something now, but I'll be done any minute. Can't wait to see you too <3
-R.B.S.
"Boss, I found only this one," Victor came and brought Roman's old laptop.
"Yeah, my old laptop," Roman looked on it, slowly blowing the dust away from it's surface, "I hope it will work."
"I'll try it," Victor took the laptop from Roman, trying the it on the projector. It worked!
You were already in club on the way to apartment, taking those gifts upstairs to the kitchen. Kitchen, since Roman refused to go anywhere near it when you weren't by his side.
"Fuck, these things are not working," Roman broke the last match on the match-box.
"Those never work, that's normal," Victor mumbled, "Wanna lit up candles? You have to use the flamethrower for that."
"What?" Roman turned to Victor with terrified look.
Victor laughed it off and Roman bursted it laugh too.
"On a second I really thought you did it," Roman said.
"Yeah, few times. Nearly lit up the fucking place," Victor laughed and Roman stopped.
"Do we have some matches?" he asked.
"Yeah, they should be in kitchen," Victor told.
"Okay, this time I have to go for them I guess... Freaking pyroman" Roman mumbled, walking to the stairs, watching how Victor couldn't stop laugh at his remark.
You hid the gift boxes under the kitchen counter and heard how is someone walking through the hallway.
Those were Roman's steps, you knew them very well.
Hopefully he's not comming into kitchen, you thought.
Roman was walking to kitchen, anxiously fixing his sleeves. What if (Y/n) was already here, Roman thought. He entered the kitchen to found out that he was right.
"Roman, hey honey, so... How was the job?" you asked, blocking the kitchen counter.
"(Y/n)... Hey babe, it's- well," he laughed and nodded.
"Yeah? I met Henry in club," you said carefully, "You know that whatever happened you can talk with me."
You were both so anxious, it was obvious.
"Yes, yes... Ehm... Have you seen here some matches?" Roman asked you.
"No," you said.
"Or a flamethrower?" Roman smirked.
"What? No, that's not in kitchen. Actually I heard that Victor has few at his apartment," you said. Victor lived right next to your and Roman's apartment for safety reasons, becouse he was Roman's right hand and also becouse he was a great friend.
"So it wasn't a joke... Heh..." Roman lifted eyebrows and left. You turned back to the kitchen counter to check the gifts, but you stopped when Roman's hands touched your hips. His chest was on your back and his head on your neck.
"I love you, (Y/n). After the bussines I want to spend the time with you," Roman whispered in your ear and you smiled, giving him kiss.
After Roman came back to the rooftop, candles were lit and Victor was playing with his knife.
"What? Victor? How?" Roman pointed at candles.
"Oh, I forgot that I had a lighter in pocket," Victor smirked and Roman rolled his eyes.
"She is here Victor what should I do?" Roman asked Victor.
"Well, invite her upstairs. I'll go to take care of the club," Victor said and patted Roman on shoulder.
"Thanks," Roman said. Victor smiled and walked away.
You were still standing in kitchen, thinking if the place under the kitchen counter was good hiding spot for gifts. After you heard Roman's familiar steps echoing through the apartment again, you decided to get to him first. Walking on hallway, you locked the kitchen and put the key in your bag.
"(Y/n), I would love if you would follow me," Roman said, cupping your cheeks.
"Alright" you smiled and followed him to the rooftop.
He opened doors and you smiled in surprise.
"Oh my... Roman, this is so sweet," you turned to him to kiss him.
The scenery was truly romantic. Few blankets on ground, candles around the place, pillows, picnic basket, projector ready to play some movies.
"I cancelled the dinner in restaurant. I hope you don't mind," Roman said. You hugged him, "No. I love this," you smiled and looked at the rooftop.
"You do?" Roman lifted eyebrows.
"Yes I do," you looked up to him and he smiled. You had those sparkles in eyes.
"Let's party then," Roman smiled and poured you wine into glass.
"Alright," you laughed as Roman spilled the wine at himself.
"That is not funny (Y/n)," Roman said, but laughed too. He couldn't resist your sweet laugh. You then got a genius idea.
"Wait here," you smiled and ran to the kitchen, taking your bag with key.
After you came back to roof with box, you found Roman trying to wipe the wine stain away from his suit with napkin.
"Honeey," you smiled, gently shaking with box. He looked up to you, throwing the napkin aside.
You sat next to him and Roman unpatiently unpacked the gift.
"Thank you my dear," Roman looked on his new velvet suit of his favourite collor, "I'm going to get changed, I'm back in second," Roman said, but then his eyes drifted to second gift.
"And what is this?" he asked with smile, taking the second gift out.
"I hope you will like it."
Roman opened the second gift and pulled out of it small model of Rolls royce.
"I love it," Roman leaned closer and gave you small kiss, "I'm gonna go to dress this beautifull suit."
After few hours of spending time with Roman, he asked you, "What do you want to watch?"
You said the name of your favorite movie which Roman also liked.
"Okay babe," Roman gave you kiss.
The movie was running and you leaned on his shoulder. You smiled when you felt his hand gently rubbing your back.
"I love you my dear. Happy anniversary," Roman whispered in your ear and you felt how he put something around your neck. It was beautifull golden necklace with rose.
"When I first saw this, it reminded me of you," Roman smiled. The necklace was truly beautifull.
"Thank you Roman," you smiled and kissed him, "I love you too. Happy anniversary."

then say my name | osamu miya x reader
huhu i know i still have requests to do but i was working on this for a week in class and wanted to share it with you guys :>>
anyway i know i said i was falling for atsumu, but osamu attracted me more haha, he seems a bit ooc here but i’ll try to fix it in the future. for now my priority in writing will be requests!
this story has now been given artwork by vn_vannies on twitter! it’s after the story down below i commissioned her to draw one scene from this story :))
------
“What must we do to get you to play a match with us?” the captain of Inarizaki asked.
“Sorry, we’re just too busy with other practice matches,” Kuroo responded. Taketora went up to Kuroo and whispered, “Hey Kuroo, aren’t they the powerhouse school of the Hyogo prefecture? We saw them at Nationals.” Kuroo sighed and faced him. “I really wish we could but after Nationals, a bunch of other powerhouse schools wanted matches.”
The captain gave in. “Alright, it was worth a try,” he looked up to Kuroo. “It’s been a pleasure seeing you play, we hope to play against you someda-”
“Hold on,” a certain blond holds up his hand. “Now now Kita-san, don’t say such things! I’m sure there are other ways on convincing the-aCHJ”
“Don’t do anything stupid you dumbass.” a silver-haired male said as he wacked his brother's head.
“I’m gonna kill yo-”
“Our bus is here,” Kita coughed. “Goodbye to you, and best of luck.” Aran bowed as did the opposing team
All of them were boarding the bus and putting their stuff in until Atsumu was the last one outside. He stood up and looked back. “Get yer ass up here, Sumu” his brother called out from the window.
“Oh, but I forgot something,” that only gained an irritated look from his twin. Thinking he was going back in the building the team moved aside. Smiling as he was walking he made eye contact with a certain manager, swiftly grabbed both of her arms, dipped her, and pressed his lips onto hers.
“?!”
The kiss lasted for quite a while, but everyone was too astonished to move. He swiftly pulled back, smiled, and winked at her. Kuroo’s face scrunched and by the time he yelled in surprise, Atsumu was back in the bus already waving at them. “See you on the court!”
The entire team screamed in shock. “WHATTT?!?!” Taketora screamed, “HOW DARE THEY ADVANCE ON OUR MANAGER!!” “(Y/N)-chan! (Y/N)-chwauwnnnn!!!” Lev ran up to her holding her should and having tears on his eyes, “are-are you okay?” “Oi! Kuroo-san and Yaku-san are going somewhere!” Shibayama yelled. “Someone stop them!”
---
“Well, you’re welcome!” Atsumu said as he stood up in the bus, his hands up and eyes closed, “looks like we’re getting a practice ma-gehck!”
“You actual stupid dumbass,” Osamu said after hitting him on the head. But oh he was not done as he kicked his stomach. “You didn’t have to do that to her.”
Meanwhile, the team wasn’t doing anything about it because they did indeed think that Atsumu has gone too far. They felt lucky to have Osamu reprimand him for his actions.
Coughing as he got up and weakly smiled and chuckled, “W-what’s it to you ‘Samu?..ya like her or someth-geCK” and the grey-haired spiker finished him off by kicking his face.
“I’ll carry him home don’t worry about him,” Osamu said picking up the unconscious setter and placing him on his seat next to his. “Not like we were in the first place..” one of them spoke.
----
“Samuu…” the blond groaned. “Gimme the ice,”
“You can get the ice yourself.”
Osamu thought about what his twin had said though. Did he like Nekoma’s manager? Well yes, you could say that she was charming in her own way. So that’s why during the practice match between Nekoma and Inarizaki, he approached her with a calm and demure smile.
“Oh, Miya-san,” their manager turned around. The spiker shook his head, “Please, call me Osamu, my idiot brother might get confused again.” he gestured to the setter. (Y/N) giggled, “Sure,” she flipped back the pages of her clipboard and tucked it under her arm. “So how long are you here in Tokyo?”
“Around one more week, since we lost to Karasuno we’re here for a few more days,” “You gonna play at that time?” Osamu shrugged, “I dunno, maybe just a bit.” (Y/N)’s smile grew, “They why don’t I show you around!” Osamu looked taken aback, “Really?” She furiously nodded her head and grinned. ‘Cute..’ he thought.
Returning with a soft smile he responded, “Yeah sure, that would be great.”
---
“Hahh, we’re finally done.” Taketora said stretching and turning around, “It’s only 1:30, you guys wanna go out?” “Sure!” Inoka said, “Yeah, why not, it would be a nice bonding activity.” Kai smiled.
“Kenma, you’re coming,” Kuroo said looking at the setter who was trying to escape, looking defeated and all. Kuroo turned to their manager “(Y/N)-chan, you in?”. She showed a remorseful smile, “Awe, sorry guys I really wish I could but I made plans after practice.” “Oh? Going shopping?” Yaku asked. “Mm yes and no.” she shrugged.
“Oh~? Is a date?” Kuroo teasingly asked. (Y/N) paused for a while as if in thought, giving a small smile as she spoke, “Yeah, if you think about it, kinda.”
“Wait what.” Kuroo immediately went pale as did the rest of the team.
“EH?! (Y/N)-chan you’re going on a date?!” Lev asked, “With who??” Yaku followed up. (Y/N) frowned and reluctantly faced the door. “Mm, no! You guys are gonna get all weird if I tell you who the guy is. Besides it’s not like it’s a romantic date, I’m just showing him around..” Kuroo stumbled forward and grabbed (Y/N)’s shoulders. “Do we know him?!”
(Y/N) shook her head. “Ah, I mean yeah I guess you do but..” (Y/N) shook him off and opened the door, “If you guys are that worried we’re just gonna be in the plaza near the market. See you tomorrow.” the door closed.
Immediately after that action was done Kuroo turned around, “We’re going after her.” “Eh, why?” Kenma asked, “It’s her date we shouldn’t get involved.” “But what if something bad happens to her?” Kuroo shot back.
“I think she’s smart enough to know when to flee a scene.” “I don’t like this either” Yaku frowned. “Me too!” Lev added in. “Argh, my sister just texted she needs help in doing the chores.” Taketora looked at his phone. “Okay! Lev, Yaku, Kenma and I will go!” Kuroo said standing up while grabbing Kenma’s hoodie. “What? But I said-” “Send in reports Kuroo-san!” Yamamoto yelled
----
“Oi, Samu, where are ya going?”
The silver-haired twin shrugged his brother off, “None of your business.” Kita walked into the living room and asked, “Osamu-kun, where are you going?” “Just out to the nearby plaza.”
“Oh, so you respond to him you jerk.” Atsumu thought out loud. “Plaza? Why?” “Just meetin’ someone there, I won’t have dinner here, I’ll be back before 10:30.” and he left before the two could ask any more questions.
“Going to meet someone? Who do you think it is?” Kita asked Atsumu, “Dunno, can’t be any relatives, we don’t have any here in Tok..oh my gosh.” Atsumu sat up in sudden realization and faced Kita and Aran who just walked in.
“He’s going to meet the girl from Nekoma.” “The girl?” Aran asked. “Oh, you mean their manager, the one that you kissed and didn’t even apologize for which got us an earful from coach,” Kita spoke glaring at him.
“Ya, ya , her.” Atsumu spoke unfazed. “I saw them talkin’ together a whole lot yesterday..she’s probably the one he’s meeting.” Aran smiled, “And why are you so worked up about it, Atsumu-kun?” Atsumu pouted, frowned and walked away to the shared room of the team, “I’m going out too.” “Don’t get caught,” Kita told him, not tearing his eyes away from the newspaper.
---
“I hope I’m not here too early..” he thought. He got off the train and made his way up the stairs that were outside the station. As he walked up the stairs he remembered, “Ah..I don’t think I got her number...what if I don’t find he-”
“Osamu-kun!” a sweet voice interrupted his thoughts and he looked up to a girl smiling and waving at him. She was wearing a green beret on her head and her hair was parted to her left; a blue and white striped T-shirt that was covered by an unzipped white jacket, she wore a checkered skirt with brown shoes and white socks.
It stunned Osamu for a brief moment. “Hey,” she said catching her breath, “Sorry, I’m really early to these things haha.” Osamu smiled and shook his head. “No worries, you look pretty.”
‘What the hell did you just say,’
“Oh! Awe, really? Thanks! I just got this two days ago haha” she said smiling
‘Oh, she liked it’
“Well,” he started, trying his words, “where are we going, Ms. Tokyo?” (Y/N) giggled at the nickname, “Let’s go to the food stalls first! There’s this karaage chicken vendor that’s so so good!” The spiker nodded and followed her. While walking the two engaged in conversation, unaware that five other volleyball players were following them.
“So, you don’t seem Japanese yet so speak it well, where are you from?” he asked. “Oh you noticed. I’m from (country), I’m (nationality).” After they had gotten their food, (Y/N) hummed and took a small bite, and blew on it. “Cat’s tongue?” he observed while smirking.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes with her and jokingly elbowed him, only to earn laughter from the spiker. While munching on her chicken, (Y/N) asked. “Hey! There’s an amusement park here! You wanna go?” “Yeah sure, why not.” The pair threw their cups in a nearby trash bin, still unaware that they were being followed...well, the spiker had a hunch.
This irked his mind and looked around, only to be pulled back to reality by (Y/N)’s voice. “We’re here,” (Y/N) spoke. Like a gentleman, Osamu paid for the tickets, even though the girl insisted. Once they were inside he turned to her. “So which one do you want to go to fir-” “Manager-chan!”
‘I’m going to murder him.’
“Oh, M-miya-san!” (Y/N) said surprised, “What are you doing here?” “Yeah, what are you doing here, Sumu?” the younger twin emphasized. Not wanting to lose his cool in front of (Y/N), it took him every last nerve in his body to restrain him from beating the crap out of Atsumu. “Oh, I was just in the area and heard a pretty voice and decided to follow it.” winking at her.
‘Don’t, Don’t, Don’t, Don’t, Don’t, Don’t-’
“Ah! (Y/N) you were meeting with them?!”
‘You have literally got to be kidding me.’
“Kuroo?!” (Y/N) said now frowning, “What are you-” “(Y/N)-chan you’re okay!” “Lev?!” (Y/N) shook her head, “Okay is anyone else within the vicinity a volleyball player?!” Yaku and Kenma stepped out. (Y/N) put her hands on her cheeks, “You’ve gotta be kidding.”
“Hmm, Nekoma’s captain..I thought you guys had a practice match.” Atsumu said, “And I thought you guys were too busy losing to still be here?” Kuroo challenged. The latter was engaged and the other three Nekoma boys had gotten distracted by a ride.
Without saying a word, Osamu grabbed (Y/N) and swiftly pulled her through the crowd behind an empty booth. “Wha- Osamu-mmf”
“Shh..” he whispered, covering her mouth with his hands.
It was a very thin gap so the pair were much too close for “friends”. (Y/N) blushed in the process as he slowly removed his hand from her mouth. As if suddenly realizing what he’s done, he widened his eyes and stuttered. “O-oh my gosh, (Y-” he held back from saying her name, “I’m so so sorry.”
(Y/N) laughed a bit and caught one of his wrists. Confused he just stared at her, an unkown certain heat slowly rising to his face. She didn’t say anything and only smiled and she ran out of the gap.
They made their way through the crowds. Luckily the Ferris Wheel where she was headed to had a short line and she managed to get in a capsule as the door closed.
Once the two were in the capsule, they rested on opposite sides of the seat. “S-sorry, I saw them looking for us and this was the only solution,” she said laughing a bit. Osamu looked at her and kept silent; he rested his elbows on his thighs and bent his head down.
“Osamu-kun?” When she had said that he brought a finger to her lips. “Osamu..just Osamu..” he breathed out. (Y/N) paused for a bit before returning the action of her finger on his lips. Taken aback the spiker looked and her as she smiled.
“Then say my name.”
“..what?” not moving from her original position she stated, “You haven’t said my name at all during this date.” The grey-haired teenager felt his heart race.
‘She considered this a date?’
“Go on,” she encouraged. Unknowest to the both of them a string of sparks flew upwards and exploded right outside their capsule. Fireworks.
This took (Y/N) by surprised as she yelped and instinctively threw herself and the nearest object to hold on to...which at that moment happened to be the spiker. She held herself to his chest, her eyes shut and Osamu leaned against the wall of the capsule in surprise, it took him a few second to figure out where to put his hands and after enough quick deliberation, decided on wrapping his arms around the girl who was sitting on his lap.
They were in that position for a good forty second before (Y/N) realized what position she was and pushed herself away but putting her hand on his chest, though still on his lap. “O-oh gosh, Osamu I’m so sorr-”
He pulled her back to his chest, this time hugging her even tighter.
He didn’t know how this would affect him after but right now he didn’t care, he was happy with this. “I like it..when you say my name..” his mouth that was now close to her ears muttered. She shuddered from the hot breath but relaxed soon after. “...(Y/N).” His doubts were eliminated as soon as he said that, as she hugged him even tighter and smiled to herself.
They stayed like that in complete silence but both were happy. When the capsule finally arrived towards the lower levels, (Y/N) shifted herself away from the spiker and moved to sit beside him. “(Y/N)..” Osamu spoke.
The manager would still get shudders every time he spoke her name. “I’m really glad I came to Tokyo, not just this but also for Nationals. I got to play so many more teams and it was honestly a once in a lifetime thing.” (Y/N) nodded, “Then I better see you next year as well,” Osamu gave a small smile and nodded back.
The pair had stepped out of the capsule only to find Atsumu waiting outside for them. “What the hell samu?! Why did you just leave-” “
That’s none of your concern, Tsum-Tsum.” he said putting a hand on his twins’ shoulder. He then looked behind and flashed a small smile at the girl, “Let’s go, (Y/N).”

of peace and devotion (nsfw)| December 28th, MadaSakuWeekend 2019
@madasakuweek thank you for organising and motivating us all to write!! I know I’ve been lazy, and this weekend truly stirred the madasaku pot and had me cooking!
prompts, December 28th: yandere au, possessive, "you belong to me" Fandom: Naruto
Pairing: MadaSaku
Rating: 18+/Explicit
Word Count: 6947
Summary: Soulmates don’t mean much to Sakura, who’s never fallen in love. After she catches her boyfriend cheating, she wonders if she’s really meant for love. What will she do then, when it quite literally stumbles through her door? | sequel to of war and peace
Warnings/Tags: explicit sexual content, mild language, OOC behaviour, modern au, hints of very soft yandere behaviour...if you squint, cliche, Sakura deserves a soft Madara!! I'm just cold and lonely leave me to my soft things!!
a/n: that was the most cliched summary I’ve written in my life, this is what happens when you watch too many kdramas
In Sakura's world, at this very moment in time–the term soulmates holds very little meaning.
As she steps through the doors to the elevator, grocery bag in hand, her mind recalls the unpleasant events of the previous week. The week itself had started out like every other one; early shifts, her usual patients, nothing too unusual apart from a few bumps here and there that she had no trouble dealing with. And now, on this chilly Tuesday, she gets to be home on Christmas Eve.
Alone.
This was the one unexpected bump in her plans. Something she hadn't even thought of, so she couldn't have planned for it–to catch her boyfriend of six months in the break room with his mouth glued to the new nurse's neck. She had stood there, watching them go at it for a whole minute before Ami had spotted her and shrieked. It was only the dawning horror in her eyes as she heard Sasori stammer out his pitifully weak excuses that told Sakura the girl hadn't known about the handsome redheaded doctor's girlfriend: her, Haruno Sakura.
Something Sasori must have been only too happy to take advantage of, she's sure.
That is why Sakura had accepted her tearful apologies with a stiff smile and continued on with her day. Ino, as soon as she found out, dragged her to the cafe, attempting to coax out the tears and curses with cold doughnuts–a reaction that just wouldn't come. That particular bit was reserved for her evening shower. Sakura was sad, yes and quite disappointed with how things turned out. Their relationship, while far from perfect, had been important to her. She had been trying to meet his expectations since before they even started dating but Sasori's nitpicking never ended; his complaints about her working too much had been increasing by the day. He also thought they weren't having enough sex.
'I guess he went fishing,' she thinks with only a slightly bitter sigh. They were never going to last, and she should have accepted it sooner. But it had been comfortable. It had been safe. And now it's over. All her life, she’s felt as if something’s been missing. As if she’s forgotten something, as if she’s been waiting for something to come back to her.
She realizes she's been standing in front of her door for more than a few minutes, and the sound of a shuffle reaches her ears, drawing her eyes towards it. Eyes the deepest shade of dark ink, brows furrowed in concern and a slender mouth curled into a gentle smile.
"You've been standing there for about five minutes," he says in lieu of a greeting. She blinks rapidly, shaking off the melancholic energy and smiling back at her neighbour.
"Itachi-san! I see you've got the evening off." She eyes his sleek jacket, sniffing as the subtle notes of his familiar cologne reach her. The plastic container in his hands looks out of place in the impeccable image he makes. "Off to see Izumi-san?"
"Ah. Our families are finally having dinner together," he divulges with a nervous little smile before holding the box out towards her. "And these are for you. I received the batch yesterday."
"Gingerbread cookies?" she guesses, her eyes lighting up at once as if she's been handed the one ring to rule them all. "Thank you. Your uncle is an angel."
"Just make sure you actually eat something before opening those bottles," he says sternly, with a pointed look at the wine bottles in her grocery bag. Sakura can't help but laugh nervously and shift the bag out of view in a futile attempt at hiding the contents from view. “And please don’t call him my uncle.”
"But he is your uncle, isn’t he? Also, don't tell Sasuke? You know he'll nag. And send Naruto."
"Alright. Only because I know you need space. Just take care and text one of us if you need anything. I'll be crashing at my parents'." He gives her a supportive pat on the back before continuing on, and Sakura adores him for trying. Itachi has been worried about her since she told him about The Break-Up, and he's also the only one who understood her when she said she felt more relief than sorrow.
"Will do. Good luck, I hope you have a wonderful evening," Sakura calls out after him before unlocking her door. Stepping into the darkened entrance, she fumbles for the light switch as she slips out of her shoes, wrestling with her puffy. Her apartment is completely silent, and it bothers her less than she thought it would. With a silent apology to her worrywart neighbour, she starts looking for the wine opener.
She does break into the box of cookies first. One of the small traditions she looks forward to every Christmas since she was twelve. The first time she tried these was in 6th grade when Sasuke brought some to class. One bite and she begged her grumpy friend for some every single year. His uncle bakes them for the entire family and ever since he found out how crazy she is about them, he makes sure to send some for her too.
Two glasses in, she's pleasantly buzzed and curled up in her soft blanket, her laptop open on her lap. The first Harry Potter movie plays on the screen, and it reminds her of Sasori and how he hates the entire series. If he had been here, he would have insisted on watching something she has very little interest in herself. It's alarming how she's finding more pros to ending things with him by the hour, but than can only be a good thing now that he's out of her personal life.
The forty text messages from him are going to stay unread.
Just as she's contemplating getting another snack before she starts the second movie, the doorbell rings, and at first, she thinks she's imagined it. It's 12:04 on the clock, and if Ino had been planning to drop in at midnight, she would have texted first. It rings again, and Sakura starts to feel uneasy. There's a series of heavy, hurried knocks on the door.
'Please, please don't be Sasori-'
"Oi, Itachi! It's freezing out here, open the fucking door!"
And there's the magic word. Itachi doesn't give his address out to people he doesn't trust, and with how familiar this stranger seems to be with him–it's probably not a serial killer. A peek through the peephole shows unruly ebony strands, and with a deep breath, she opens the door just a crack. There is little point in the cautiousness as the stranger stumbles through the door, trembling violently as he nearly runs her over.
"Took you long enough! I really need to take a-" The man pauses as he finally stands up straight, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings, and the girl staring at him in concern. "Uh-you're not Itachi."
"Definitely not," she confirms dryly, crossing her arms over her chest, just tipsy enough to not feel self-conscious about her fuzzy pyjamas and an oversized sweatshirt. She has no idea who he is but Sakura has spent enough time with the Uchiha siblings and their relatives to know one of their clansmen when she sees him. "I'm his neighbour."
"Right, definitely prettier than him. Sorry. Fuck. Oh-sorry about that too," he mutters, a slight flush spreading over the high point of his cheeks. His sheepish tone contrasts greatly with his roguish look. Wild, dark hair that falls to his back. A black leather jacket that does little to hide his well-built form, and unusually deep-set eyes that stay strangely focused on her even as he squirms with discomfort. Her heart races, making her wonder if it's the alcohol or his cologne that's hitting her so hard. "I'm...just gonna go."
"Itachi's not home," she blurts out. "So, um."
"Oh," he sighs. His shoulders slump and she can't help but sympathize. "My bad. I should've checked."
"Yeah. Well, if you need to, you know." She points towards the hallway leading to the bathroom, and he blinks in slight confusion before he gets it.
"Are you sure?" he waits for her nod before he sighs once more, this time with relief, and begins to tug his boots off. "Shit, thanks. I'm really sorry to intrude, I just really need to-"
"Not a problem. It's right down the hallway, first door on the left!" she cuts in with a slight laugh, closing the front door as he hurries off. Just as she thinks to text Itachi, she realises she doesn’t have a name.
She probably shouldn’t trust a stranger this much, but she reasons that it’s Itachi she trusts, so it should be fine to flop back on the couch and resume her drinking.
Light footsteps indicate the not-a-complete stranger’s return, and Sakura turns to study him over the back of the couch. He seems calmer now, looking around her apartment curiously before he turns to smile at her.
“Thanks again. I probably would’ve-if you hadn’t-yeah. Thanks,” he flushes slightly at the sight of her trying and failing to hide a grin before he looks over her head at the coffee table. “Wait-are those Izuna’s cookies?”
“Itachi’s uncle? Yeah,” she affirms with a dreamy smile, reaching for another treat. He makes a weird face at her words.
“Yeah. His uncle.” She cocks a brow at his wince. “Right, I’m-his brother. Madara.”
Sakura can’t quite describe the jolt she feels at his name, and tries to ignore it as she takes the hand he holds out. His palm is warm and dwarfs her own, curling around it gently. Something in her shakes and she wonders if she’s always been so nervous around good-looking men she didn’t grow up with.
The name is a familiar one though, and she's sure it was Shisui who mentioned it. It explains how young he looks–Madara and Izuna are cousins to Itachi and Sasuke's father, born to a father who married quite late, at least according to the older generation's standards. It had the whole clan in quite a tizzy, according to Shisui. She's also sure she isn't supposed to be privy to clan gossip so she's going to keep her mouth shut.
“I’m Sakura.”
He smiles at that, his eyes softening in the dim light of her living room. “Of course it is.”
Her cheeks feel strangely warm and she feels like a fool, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. 'But,' the voice in her head that sounds a little like Ino's soothes her. 'Look at him. He's beautiful.'
"So, that makes you the other uncle."
"Ugh," he groans before doing an abrupt turn and smirking wickedly. "So that makes you the girl Sasuke wrote that poem for when he was eight?"
"Why do you know about that?" It's more demand than a question, but Sakura really doesn't bring up that long-buried memory unless it's for the specific aim of tormenting Sasuke.
"Who do you think helped him write it?" he taunts, snickering at her startled expression.
"And to think I'd been so impressed with the big words." Sakura shakes her head with an air of exaggerated disappointment.
"Well, I'm glad to see I got most of it right," he shrugs, the tips of his ears reddening tellingly. "If it’s any consolation, I'm sure he knows them now...I think."
Her responding laugh is cut off by the sound of the doorbell ringing again, and they both look at each other as if expecting the other to have expected it. Madara shrugs and she moves to the front door, standing up on the tips of her toes to look through the peephole. Really, what's with her home attracting unexpected guests at–
She whirls around in a panic.
“Everything okay?” he asks quietly as she rushes back, looking like she’s going to throw up.
“Um, yeah. No. I don’t know. It’s my ex.”
“An ex you want to see...?” he trails off.
“Absolutely not,” she mutters, pressing the heels of her palm to her eyes. She can feel a headache coming on with the new arrival and honestly, it is so very like Sasori to drop in without asking, expecting her to be okay with him ruining her night. Madara watches her freak out for a few seconds before nodding resolutely.
“Okay. Leave it to me.” Sakura makes a grab for his arm as he moves towards the door, trying to tug him in the opposite direction.
“What are you doing?” she hisses.
“Well, I owe you one. And I can’t just leave you to deal with an ex you clearly don’t want to see–especially at this time of the night,” he explains easily, trying to tug his arm from her grip. He tries to uncurl her fingers from where they’re digging into his bicep, and she nearly jumps when their hands touch once more. It's only now that she realizes how close they are, and that she's nearly hanging off his arm in an attempt to stop him from opening the door. "Hey, it's okay. I'll take care of it."
He looks back to wink at her before bending over to slide his boots on, and Sakura has to nearly tear her eyes away from the ridiculously appealing sight. He reaches the door and unlocks it deftly, and she's thankful for him looking away, because that was nearly devastating enough to make her forget about why he’s answering her door.
Then she hears the one voice she absolutely did not want to hear again, at least until she goes back to work tomorrow.
“Saku-you’re not Sakura,” she hears Sasori say, and she can imagine his disgruntled expression with perfect ease.
“Definitely not,” Madara says in an echo of her own words, and she can’t help the subtle smile that stretches across her mouth. “Can I help you?”
“Who are you?”
“None of your business.”
“It is if you’re at my girlfriend’s house at this time of the night.”
At that Sakura steps up next to Madara, crossing her arms in annoyance and trying not to blush when Madara slides his arm around her. He keeps his hand on the curve of her waist, his touch gentle and loose, but mostly reassuring. It also serves to annoy Sasori greatly, who looks like he can't quite believe what he's seeing.
“Ex-girlfriend. What do you want?” she snaps. She's sure he didn't leave anything at her place.
“Sakura, who is this?”
“Like he said, it’s none of your business.” She shivers a little and Madara tugs her closer, moving his hand to rub it over her arm in quick, light movements. She's a little amazed at how warm he is and quite upset that she has to stand in the cold because Sasori can't speak quickly enough.
"Um, well, I was just at a party at Hidan's." Who happens to live nearby. "And I was just...wondering if I could crash here. I thought we could talk."
For a long moment, Sakura can't quite bring herself to say anything. Not because she's considering saying yes–but because the nerve of this man has, not for the first time, left her speechless.
"Sasori, we-"
"I know, I know," he grumbles. He then shrugs and grins in a way she had once thought was charming, leaning in slightly. "Your place was just closer than mine-"
"And no longer accessible," Madara cuts in. "Goodnight." He tries to move them back so he can close the door, but Sasori interrupts the motion with a hand on the door.
"I'll take the couch!" Sasori pushes back against the door. "Sakura, babe, we've-"
"Alright," Madara steps out the door instead, forcing Sasori to take a few steps back. "Why don't have a little talk?" He turns to a confused looking Sakura, gesturing for her to go inside. "I'll be right in, sweetheart. Don't worry." He doesn't wait for her to reply, closing the door before she can say anything. Sakura stands with her ear pressed to the wood for over a minute, but doesn't hear a thing. She goes back to the couch, trying to figure out if this was really okay, but Madara comes back in before she can come to an actual conclusion.
"Well, he's a prick."
"I realize that now," she says, looking him over for any signs of damage. "Sorry, did he give you any trouble?"
"Nothing I couldn't handle. And you don't need to thank me either," he adds before she can even begin to come up with a way to express her gratitude. She also realizes that they're both alone once again, and despite how nice he seems, Madara is still a stranger. He looks a bit awkward, looking as if he doesn't know what to do with himself, or his hands which clench and unclench before he shoves them into the pockets of his jacket.
"Um, I should probably wait a few minutes before leaving...did Itachi say what time he'd be back?"
"He said he's going to stay at his parents' tonight," Sakura tells him, wincing at his dismayed expression. "He hasn't given you a spare key?"
"Shisui 'borrowed' it."
"I'm so sorry." She thinks it's a little funny, but works to keep her face sympathetic; Shisui would be extremely amused by the current events.
"That's alright. I think I've intruded enough, so I should probably go."
"Where do you live?" she asks, forehead wrinkled up at the thought of him having to make his way home in this weather. Sasori lives about ten minutes away–which is why she hadn’t been worried about him, she tells her guilty conscious.
"...Senju apartments."
"Fancy. Also on the other side of town," Sakura states flatly. "Did you drive here?"
"Ah."
"In a car?"
"...Bike."
"Right. Look," she begins, unable to actually believe she's doing this. "Just crash here tonight. I'll let Itachi know."
He looks taken aback at her suggestion, and shifts uncomfortably. "I wouldn't want to-"
"It's alright. I'm not comfortable with sending you off into the night," she reasons. "Plus, Itachi and Sasuke are practically family. That makes you...distant family. Sort of. Just-you're welcome to stay if you're comfortable with it."
Madara, who had begun to flush, looks extremely amused by the time she finishes. "Distant family."
"I said, sort of!"
"Hah. Well," he rubs at the back of his head hesitantly. "I guess. You're really okay with it?"
"Really okay with it. One hundred per cent." She waits for him to take his shoes off before herding him towards the couch. "You sleepy?"
"Not really," he admits sheepishly, taking a seat, sitting a little too properly for this time of the night.
"Great. You like Harry Potter?"
"Yeah."
"Wine?"
"Yes," he laughs, accepting the clean glass she brings him.
"Even better. It’s been ages since I had a sleepover. I'll bring more snacks."
The mildly awkward atmosphere dissolves quickly as they begin watching the movie, and Sakura's pleased to see her new companion loosen up and put his feet up on the coffee table. In an unexpected turn of events, she's found a new companion who's up for binge-watching the entire series, which is a little too ambitious for someone who has to work the next day. They open a new bottle as they express their mutual disappointment at the wasted potential of Tom Riddle, discuss their own Hogwarts house placements and the first time they read the books–before starting the third movie.
Sakura groans as the light hits her face, turning it to bury her head further into her pillow.
Her pillow, which seems unusually warm and smells like cedarwood. It's only when it shifts under her that her eyes fly open, and in her haste to spring back she tumbles off the bed.
"Ow-" She rubs her backside in slight disgruntlement, glancing up at Madara only to see him yawning widely as he stretches like a contented cat; he smiles softly as he notices her staring. She can't quite get her brain to process what she's seeing–tan skin stretching over long, firm planes of muscle. His wild hair spills over her pillows and she's hit with a memory of nuzzling it, of knowing what it smells like.
"Morning," he mumbles groggily, looking like he's ready to doze off again.
'Ah, fuck.'
"Morning," she replies in a tone a touch too shrill, jumping up when he just blinks at her. "We...uh..."
At her panicked expression, he seems to step out the doors of slumber completely, his cheeks reddening as he realizes she's struggling with their current state of undress. "Yeah. Uh, sorry?
"D-don't apologize," she says, trying to reassure him with a weak smile. "So! Breakfast?"
"Sakura." He sits up, the sheets pooling at his waist and she looks away before she sees more than she can handle. The plain black sweatshirt that was snug on him falls to her thighs when she stands up, and she sees the way his eyes fall to the bare expanse of her legs before he forces them back to her face. "I-I'll take care of that. You okay with scrambled eggs? Tea? Coffee?"
"Um-yeah. Here I'll just..." She looks around the room, spotting his pants by the door. She can't help the way she tugs at the hem of his sweatshirt as she bends her knees, grabbing the jeans. "Here. And–coffee. What can I do to help?"
"You need to be at work by ten, right? You can go get ready, we've got time." It's 8:30 on the clock, but how does he know what time she needs to be at the hospital? Her baffled look must tip him off because he shakes his head in mock seriousness as he washes his hands. "You don't remember that conversation, huh?"
"I'm sure it'll come to me," she sighs. "Alright I'll...go shower." She misses his distracted nod in her haste to retreat to the bathroom, his eyes struggling to focus as she leaves him to his thoughts.
It all does, eventually, come back to her while she's in the shower. She’s grateful for the privacy because she’s convinced Madara would think her a lunatic if he saw her smiling so hard.
(flashback, nsfw content ahead)
"Madara?" she asks, lifting her head off his shoulder so she could look at him. They sit side by side, watching the credits scroll past as they contemplate moving. Sakura’s cuddled into his side, unable to muster the will to move away from his warmth.
"Hm?"
"Have we met before?" The question has been on her mind since she first saw him earlier. He seems so familiar, but she’s unsure if it’s just because of his features, which do remind her of Itachi.
Her question is met with a slow blink as they both sit up a little straighter. "Could have. At birthday parties, maybe?"
She purses her lips at the thought, trying to recall any interactions that might have taken place in the past. Madara watches her for a moment, as she chews on her bottom lip, before tapping her chin to interrupt the rough treatment of her mouth. She’s struck by the urge to flick her tongue against the pad of his thumb, and the thought has her squirming in embarrassment. He looks completely serious, while she’s over here thirsting.
"Would you believe me if I said...I feel like I've been looking for you?" he asks hesitantly, flushing deeply when she looks amused. "Ugh, that sounds way cornier than it was intended to. I'm serious!"
She sobers up at his firm tone, studying his features in the dim light of the lamp. She smooths his bangs away from his eyes, feeling slightly overwhelmed when he takes the hand tucking his hair behind his ear in his own, lacing his fingers with hers.
"...I think I would," she whispers, mirroring his own tiny smile. "Then, would you believe me if I said I feel like I've been waiting for you?" She's only half-teasing. She feels at home, sitting next to him, arguing with him over fictional characters and concepts, watching him tap his feet to background music, eating cookies they're both shamelessly obsessed with.
Her heart feels warm and full when he kisses the back of her hand.
"I think I would," he says, his smiling turning embarrassed and shy and so soft that she can't help but lean in and press her lips to it, her heart pounding madly when he melts into it, into her. He groans low when she climbs into his lap, tilting his head to deepen the meeting of their mouths.
Desire drips into a pool at the bottom of her spine, where his hands splays and glides up to rest at the nape of her neck, tangling in messy, rosy strands. They kiss, and they kiss until her lips feel numb and her mind is muted for the first time in what feels like ages.
The first grind of her hips against his feels electric and the helpless way he bucks his hips up is something she wants to see repeated. He clutches her to him, peppering hot kisses down the slender slope of her neck and she knows what she wants. "Be-bedroom."
He stills, tilting his head back until the tip of his nose brushes hers. His eyes are reminiscent of hot pools of obsidian, and she thinks she would be okay with drowning in them. "Are you sure?"
"I want this." His mouth perks up even as he presses it to her jaw, winding her legs around his waist as he rises from the sofa with her holding on. Long fingers dig into the plump flesh of her rear, keeping her close and whimpering.
"Wait. Are you sure?"
His responding chuckle is edged with roughness, but not a straight enough answer. Once again, he manages to steal her breath before it can form words, sliding her lower against his body until she can feel him pressing into her, hard and straining.
"Oh. Okay," she gasps, pushing back into it until he stumbles with a curse, pressing her back into her bedroom door as he kisses her deeply, sucking her bottom lip into his mouth.
"Keep that up and we'll never get to the bed," he groans, grinding into her urgently as she nibbles on the shell of his ear.
"That's fine, just-fuck." She loses her train of thought when his hands squeeze her ass warningly.
"I'm not fucking you against a door," he says firmly, cutting her off with a quick kiss when she tries to protest. "Not the first time."
And so he fumbles with the door handle as his teeth dig into her skin, stumbling in blindly. He tosses her on the bed, reaching for the collar of his sweatshirt and sliding it off swiftly. Her mouth waters at this unveiling of his chiselled form, torn between reaching out to run her greedy fingers over it and reaching for her own clothes. He makes the decision for her by sliding his fingers underneath the hem of her shirt, tugging it up and over her head. Warmth flushes down from her cheeks to her chest when she realizes she had forgone a bra earlier, leaving the upper half of her body exposed to his burning gaze.
The moment his chest presses into hers, warm desire spreads down to the tips of her toes. It sinks into her bones as he kisses her temple, her cheeks, her lips. He carves a fervent path down her neck, teeth and tongue leaving hints of their efforts behind in blooming marks. The first curl of his tongue around a taut nipple has her gasping loudly, her fingers tangling in his hair as he splits his attention between her breasts.
His journey around her body continues with kisses down the soft planes of her abdomen until he reaches her waistline. Her heart pounds madly as she lifts her hips, allowing him to tug her pyjamas down her legs, followed by her underwear. It leaves her squirming beneath his gaze until he bends over her to press his lips to hers.
"You're so beautiful, darling," he groans, his hands gliding down her waist and back up. "Can I taste you?" He waits for her slow nod, smiling as he climbs back down, spreading her legs until he's found himself a spot between them. Sakura, who waits breathlessly for that first contact, nearly yelps when she feels his teeth sink into the tender flesh of her inner thigh instead. He soothes the spot with his tongue, and just as she settles down with the comforting motion she feels a languid lick along her slick sex that steals any capacity for thought still present in her head.
Lifting up on her elbows proves to be disastrous for her heart: he locks eyes with her as he licks fervidly into her, his eyes crinkling and lips twisting wickedly.
Sakura thinks she might have invited the devil into her bed.
He doesn't let her move until she's dripping with her desire, pushed to the brink of madness and digging her heels into his shoulders. He's unfazed by her pleading, coaxing and tonguing but never letting her tip over.
"Madara, Mad-fuck, please, please," she whimpers, one hand clenched around her sheets and the other smacking into the headboard.
"You need to tell me what you want, babygirl," he laughs, drawing slow, torturous circles around her clit.
"Fuck me, fuck me, please." She's practically begging but she needs this. She thinks she might actually wither away if he doesn't let her come. She feels him move, blinking her tears away so she can watch him slide his pants off and reach for his wallet. She's never felt more focused as she watches him tug the boxer-briefs down, freeing his straining erection and leaving her swallowing with one motion.
Sitting up, she reaches for him as he tears the foil square open carefully, but he stops her with a hand curling around her wrist. He brings her hand up to this mouth, kissing the back of it and urging her back down. "Later."
Any arguments she might have had are ripped away when she feels him at her entrance, rubbing the tip of his head against her slickness. When he pushes through her slit, tearing a moan from the depths of her throat, he kisses the corner of her mouth softly. She's convinced no one has ever felt this good, and no one ever will.
He's watching her, she realizes belatedly. She reaches up to cup his cheek, smiling faintly as he kisses her palm quickly, as he waits for her to adjust around him.
"Is this okay?" he asks, dropping his forehead to hers, his muscles straining as he keeps himself from moving. She pulls him close, leaving open-mouthed kisses over his tense shoulders.
"It's perfect." She pushes up, her walls squeezing tight and a startled groan escapes him before he pulls back and snaps his hips into hers–over and over again, aimed to tear her apart and make his mark in the very depths of her until she's shattering to pieces around him and trembling in his arms. He whispers softly, incoherently as he thrusts frantically, and she kisses him through his unravelling.
She curls into a ball, after, nearly vibrating her contentment when she feels his fingers in her hair, rubbing at her scalp. Madara proves himself to be a cuddler when he moulds himself to her back, burying his face in her hair and inhaling deeply. "Okay, I have a confession."
She turns around in his arms, raising a brow at his conflicted expression.
"I...have seen you before."
"Oh?" she lifts up onto an elbow, watching him struggle with his words. She's filled with curiosity because she's certain she'd never seen Madara before today. He’s not someone she would forget.
"Yeah. It was at your graduation party a few years back. The one you all had at Fugaku’s place," he tells her, his eyes unfocused as he thinks back to the time. "We didn't actually meet, but that was... I thought you were beautiful even then."
It’s strange to hear him address the older man so casually when he’s closer in age to her than Fugaku, but then they are cousins.
"Oh." She rests her head in her palm. "Let me guess–and you've been smitten ever since?" She shouldn't tease when he's being so serious, but she's come to really enjoy his blushing responses–a reaction she doesn't get this time. Instead, he meets her eyes steadily, if a bit solemnly.
"Yeah, pretty much."
"Madara!" She laughs, pinching his cheek, prompting him to smile as well.
“You don’t believe me.” He sighs, pressing his lips to her forehead.
"Mhm. I'm glad you got the wrong door," she whispers, feeling him smile against her skin.
"Me too." She sighs and presses her face to his chest, snuggling closer when he winds his arms around her. They’re quiet for a while, and just before she slips into sleep, he speaks up.
"Sakura?"
"Hm?
"Meeting you like this...being so close to you," he shifts slightly, pressing his lips to her hair. "Right now, I almost feel like...you belong to me." His admission is said so lowly that she nearly misses it. "And I belong to you. Is that strange?"
She smiles drowsily, tilting her head back to kiss him, soft and slow. "No, I think it's lovely."
"I think you're lovely." She can’t keep her eyes open, drifting into the dark with warmth all around her. “And...I don’t think I want to let you go.”
“...Then don’t.”
For the first time in a long time, she's smiling as she falls asleep.
Sakura's still smiling as she steps out of the shower. Wiping her hand over the fogged up mirror, she squints at her reflection. She looks bright, despite a terrible headache, and she feels warm–on the inside and out; her skins nearly burns when she spots the marks over her collarbone and thighs.
Waking up to soft greetings, offers of breakfast and a very pleasant ache between her thighs–it's something new, but it's nice. Madara is nice.
'And I'm fucked. Literally and figuratively'
But is she? She may have started him by kissing him, but he more than reciprocated. She's never felt more loved, and that includes actual relationships. Then there were the mind-melting things he said. A bit intense, but they were both more than a little dazed in the aftermath.
She’s a little worried about starting something this soon after ending things with Sasori, but– and she may be speaking too soon, but she never felt this way with Sasori. The redhead had started their relationship, dictated most of it, and she had been okay with it, accepting that she’s not the sort to take charge when it comes to this stuff.
But with Madara? She feels the sparks of excitement. She wants. So many things. So badly. She should, however, take it slow. A little too late, but she should still try. The man might be more than a little alarmed if he finds out just how into him she already is.
Her stomach growls loudly as she follows the smell of frying bacon to the kitchen. And there he is, the man in question, arranging food on two plates, her coffee ready on the side. His hair is pulled back into a low ponytail, his pants tight around his waist–and backside–and Sakura nearly swoons at the sight of him.
“Are you real?” she asks, completely serious.
“Real enough to have burnt the toast a little,” he answers with a sheepish grin. She hands him his sweatshirt apologetically, but he's unfazed as he pulls it on easily.
She wonders if this is all very normal for him, and the thought stings a little.
“I like it burnt.” She shrugs and pauses as she reaches the counter. She turns around to see him watching her; with a quick prayer to whoever’s listening and a hand on his shoulder, she rises up on the tips of her toes to plant a quick kiss on his cheek. “Thank you.”
His fingers curl around her wrist before she can step out of his space, his eyes searching her face before he pulls her close. She should be alarmed by how natural it feels to have his arms around her and his lips coaxing her mouth open. In the light of the morning, he kisses her softly; once more, she’s filled with a yearning that makes her ache.
In what’s quickly turning into an irritating pattern, her phone rings. A quick glance at the screen assuages her annoyance, but she still has to take a deep breath before answering.
“Morning, Itachi. Happy Christmas!”
“Happy Christmas. I just saw your text. Is Madara still there?”
“Uh, yeah, he is.”
“Alright. I’m nearly on our floor. See you in a minute.”
“Wait-“
But he’s hung up already, and she turns to see Madara sipping at what looks like green tea, failing to hide his disappointment.
“I heard.”
“Yeah,” she sighs, moving towards the entrance, then doubling back and pulling Madara into a quick, hard kiss that leaves him slack-jawed. “Sorry.”
“Please don’t be,” he murmurs hoarsely, making grabby hands at her as she skips away. Beaming, she opens the door to Itachi’s suspicious eyes and boxes of what she’s sure are his mother’s cooking.
“Yes, this is for you,” Itachi says before she can ask, moving past her to peer into her apartment. “Ah. There you are.”
“Morning.”
“Good morning,” Itachi looks from his uncle to Sakura, as if expecting more. “I’m going to go ahead get it out of the way–did you guys...?”
“Yes.”
“N-What!” Sakura squeaks, glaring at Madara when she spots the grin he tries to hide behind his cup.
“Right. Okay. Well, I’m gonna go get some more sleep. Sakura, have a nice day at work. Madara, let's go. Bring the plate, I’ll return it later.” Itachi doesn’t seem to be asking, and Madara, to her surprise, does as the other man says. They stare at each other for a few seconds, before Itachi raises a brow and turns to leave. A tiny smirk curls along his mouth, and she knows she can expect a call from Shisui within the hour.
The second he’s out Madara’s arms around her and his lips are on hers.
“Have dinner with me,” he asks as soon as he pulls away, his eyes wide with hope.
“Tonight?” she says, her answer clear when she kisses him again. Madara grins down at her, pulling her in for a hug that leaves her gasping for breath as she laughs.
“I’ll pick you up.”
Bonus:
“He made you breakfast?” Shisui asks over the phone, for the third time.
“Yes, Shisui. Honestly, it’s not like he gave me a manicure! Why are you so surprised?” Sakura glances around to ensure there aren't any eavesdroppers as she exits the elevator in the hospital. Ino has the evening shift, so she didn't get a chance to talk to her. She's not sure what she would even say. Her entire day had been a struggle with focus, but she had managed to keep the Madara-related thoughts at bay until the end of her shift.
And then she called the one person who could give her some insight.
“Because! Madara does not make people breakfast. In the rare occasions that he does spend time with them, he exits those occasions as quickly as humanly possible.”
“So he’s...”
“Not a dick! Not exactly. He’s just had a hard time getting emotionally involved with partners. You’re sure it was him? Not Izuna?”
“Yes, Shisui, of course, I’m sure!”
“Okay, okay. Hm. I think...he might like you?”
“Yeah?” she can't help but smile as she opens the door to her car, flinging her bag inside.
“Yeah. Weird.”
“Why is it weird?”
“You’re going to be Itachi and Sasuke’s aunt-“
“Uchiha Shisui! Don’t even put that crap in my head.” It's way too early to even go there.
“Fine, I won’t. But what will you do about the crap in his head?”
“I’m sure there’s nothing like that! At least, I won’t know until I talk to him. Which won’t be possible until dinner tonight. I also need his number. Which is why I called you.”
“Ah, right. You were so preoccupied with his mouth that you forgot to even ask for his number?”
Sakura makes a silent vow to punch him the next time she sees him.
“...I’ll text it to you. Are we telling Itachi you're planning on asking his uncle out?”
“...not yet.” She's not sure how her friend would react. Itachi has always been a supportive presence in her life, but he didn't actually say anything this morning.
“It's not like he'll be surprised!”
“Probably. But let me talk to Madara first!” She gets inside and closes the door, leaning back and closing her eyes tiredly.
“Fine, fine. If he’s an ass to you, let me know. I’ll...tell Izuna.”
“I’m hurt. You won’t even kick his ass yourself?” she teases.
“Not when I know I won’t escape with my limbs unbroken. Your new flame is a scary dude, you know.”
“Please. Are you forgetting I’ve met the guy? He’s one of the nicest men I’ve ever met.”
“...Madara...nicest...Is-is this what they call a Christmas Miracle?”

draco malfoy x reader
warnings: none other than a kinda ooc draco!
word count: 1.8k
notes: okay this is very specific and super self indulgent but also really sweet and cute so!!! enjoy!!! (also this is unedited bc im too antsy and excited to post it
the past 2 weeks had overwhelmed you. tests, papers, concerts, forced social gatherings- your energy had just run out. you still had another week to go before any kind of break though- so the timing of your burnout was less than ideal. at this point, you barely had enough energy to talk to your friends, so when draco malfoy tapped on your shoulder during class, you whirled around, ready to fight. what you weren’t expecting was his question.
“can you help me with this?” you blinked in surprise. she you had short conversations before class, but it still shocked you a little bit.
“yeah, sure. i’ll show you.” you walked him through the spell a few times, until he was able to execute it well enough to pass.
“great, thank you!” he said with a smile. his politeness threw you off, and all you could do was smile and turn back around. what you didn’t see was how his smile fell after that.
the next day, for whatever reason, he sat next to you, but you were still feeling equally as drained as the day before. at the end of class he stopped you from leaving with yet again, a small conversation.
“do you think we could meet out of class to work on these charms? you seem to really understand it and i could use some help.”
“im sorry draco- my schedule is completely packed until our break.” you replied with a sad smile. “i’ve actually got another performance tonight for the staff dinner.”
“hm. what about after that? we could grab some dinner and study.” you were taken aback again. why was he being so nice to you? you couldn’t turn him down after he’s showing you kindness you’ve never seen before. plus, he was really cute, you’ve always kind of had a thing for him.
“alright, how about 8 o’clock in the great hall?”
“great, it’s a date.” he said with a wink before leaving the class- leaving you flustered and unsure of what just happened.
after you had finished your performance, you made your way to the great hall, spotting draco on the way. you chatted idly while grabbing some food and a table. draco sat to your right and your textbooks piled up to your left. once you began studying, you felt the weight of the day hit you, and you ended up zoning out and staring at your textbook. you laid your head in your hand and decided to close your eyes for just one minute. unsurprisingly, you fell asleep. when you woke up, you and draco were the only ones in the room.
“good morning.” draco said. it was at this point that you realized the position you were in, in your sleep, you had shifted so that your head was resting on his shoulder. you immediately lifted your head up and avoided eye contact with him.
“what time is it?”
“11:30-ish.”
“you let me sleep that long?’ you exclaimed.
“you just seemed so tired and like you needed a break. and plus…” he trailed off. “nevermind.”
“no no, wait. plus what?” he became visibly flustered.
“nothing, there is no plus!”
“tell me what the plus is or i’ll ditch you and hang out with potter instead.” his eyes widened- did that actually make him mad?
“fine. i was just going to say you looked cute on my shoulder like that.” now it was your turn to be flustered. suddenly your textbook was incredibly interesting. you could feel him smirking beside you, but couldn’t bring yourself to look at him. he leaned into to your ear and sent chills down your spine as he spoke. “but to be fair, you look cute all the time.” you covered your face with your hands to hide your blush. he went to pull your hands away, and chuckled as you swatted them away. “hey, you asked for this! why are you so embarrassed anyway, i’m just stating facts.” you sighed in response, but couldn’t hold back a smile.
“i need to go draco, i have another concert tomorrow and i need to be at my best.” your smile fell.
“alright. i hope it goes well.” you gave him a sad smile and couldn’t stop the tears from pricking at your eyes. “hey woah, what’s going on? are you okay?”
“yeah.” you said shakily and unconvincingly, to which he gave you a look. “i’m just exhausted and… i really wish my family could be here for this concert.” you were so focused on talking without crying your barely noticed draco’s hand holding your own. “everyone else’s families come for this concert, it’s our last one, but my parents decided… they would rather visit my sisters than me. i just wish someone would come support me at this last concert.” one tear was set free as you blinked. it rolled down your cheek and dropped onto draco’s hand. he was clearly caught off guard by your sudden change in emotion, but his voice was steady when he spoke.
“what time is it?”
“no, draco-”
“and where?”
“draco you don’t have to come out of pity, it’s okay. this is how it’s always been, i’m used to it. i stopped looking for familiar faces in the audience years ago.”
“what? that’s not okay! when and where is it. i’ll be there.” you studied his eyes before answering.
“it’s here, after they serve dinner.”
“i’ll be there.”
“...why?” “because you deserve to have someone in the audience-”
“no, why are you being so nice to me? this feels so… out of character for you.” his eyes darted around the room, looking anywhere but your own.
“i- you just haven’t done anything wrong for me to… uhh…” he struggled to find the word. “tease you for.” you couldn’t help but feel disappointed at his response.
“well, thank you for that i guess. but we should really get going. it’s late.” he agreed with you, so you packed up all your things and went your separate ways.
“(y/n)!” your roommate shouted as you walked in. “where on GOD have you been? don’t you have a concert tomorrow and classes all morning?” you flopped down on your bed.
“yeah, since when do you track my schedule?”
“you were complaining about it in charms.”
“fair enough, that does sound like me. but why are you so worried about this suddenly?”
“hmm, not worried, just curious.” she said, sitting next to you on your bed. “i happened to walk by the great hall just an hour ago,” your eyes went wide. “and saw you with none other than the prince of slytherin himself: draco malfoy.”
“don’t jump to conclusions, we were just studying.”
“for god’s sake (y/n), you were asleep on his shoulder! did he ever say it was a date? i bet he did.”
“well yeah, but i thought he was just teasing. he does that.” she gave you the same look that draco had given you earlier. “okay and he also called me cute and is coming to my concert tomorrow but don’t read into that, he probably wasn’t serious!”
“guess we’ll just have to wait and see.”
“what?”
“well if he has a thing for you too, he’ll be at the concert.”
“too? excuse you?”
“i love you to death (y/n) but you’re a terrible liar, and you’re not very subtle.”
the day’s classes had flown by- it was concert time. you arrived early, helping set up the chairs and music, and once you had settled into your spot and people had filled in, you couldn’t believe what you saw. what seemed like the entirety of the slytherin house was packed into the front section, with one familiar asshole front and center. he caught your eye and sent you a smile. you couldn’t even think of what to do back, you were too shook.
the concert itself went by quickly. you played beautifully, and all of your emotions poured through your instrument. by the end, you were shaky, emotional, and nervous to see draco after. you didn’t have much time to compose yourself however, as he was the first person you saw as you walked off stage. before you could say anything, he wrapped you in a hug (but quickly pulled away once he realized people were staring).
“you did incredible!”
“thank you- how did you… why are there… what?” you could barely get a sentence out.
“i just asked some people to come and support you, you deserve a big cheering section.”
“draco, i…” suddenly you were aware of everyone standing around you two. “can we maybe go somewhere a little quieter?” he nodded and pulled you through the crowd, out the door, and down the hallway into the courtyard. he sat down on a bench and motioned for you to sit next to him, which you gladly did. you took a deep breath before speaking, trying to kill your nerves that arose with the thought of sharing your feelings with him. you were so in your head, you barely processed what he said when he spoke.
“you really did well up there today. and you look stunning too, by the way.” again, no thoughts heady empty, you could not think of a response for the life of you. he chuckled. “i’m sure you’ve figured it out by now, i’m not just nice to you because you ‘done nothing wrong’ or whatever i said yesterday.” he stared at you, waiting for a response, but all you could do was smile and let your palms sweat. “are you really gonna make me say it? it’s because i like you (y/n).” the final twist of the knife. there were simultaneously one million and absolutely no thoughts swimming around your head, but when you didn’t respond he started to lean away and looked hurt.
“wait no- i’m sorry! this is just a lot all at once! i like you too draco.” you rushed out. he returned to your side, eyebrows raised.
“yeah?”
“yeah. you must have charmed me or something, because i really do. somehow.”
“hey! first of all, rude. second of all, i’m terrible at charms. you know that.” you two joked back and forth until the moon shone brightly up above. after you both agreed it was time to head back to your respective dorms, a nervous silence fell.
“sooo…” you drawled on. “good night i guess?”
“good night to you too.” silence again. “do you have time for another study date tomorrow? i spent most of our last one being nervous and trying not to wake you up.”
“yeah! i’m free tomorrow night if you want?”
“alright, it’s a date.” he said for leaning down to kiss you, and walking away. leaving you flustered and unsure of what just happened for the second time that week.

mirio togata x reader - pancakes
this is basically my first fanfic uhh here we go lmao, enjoy!!~
the school day was over, and i was more than ready to start my shift at this cafe i worked at. it is always so calming, heading over there after school and making coffee and small desserts - in this super chill and warm atmosphere, with the sweet, kind, old lady who was just like a grandma to me. she helps me both with work and homework if i need it - and sometimes i even stay there after my shifts just to relax.
soon enough i walked through the doors of the cafe, which was a fair walk distance from UA Highschool, where i am a second year student. there wasn’t a whole lot of customers but at the same time, most of our customers came here to study while having a cup of coffee or a crêpe or something.
“hello!,” i greet in my usual sing-songy voice as i walk behind the counter. i hear the lady i described earlier, Mrs. Watanabe greet back along with a familiar, male voice. i thought nothing of it and headed to the dressing room. i put my bag down and changed into my usual work clothes; a brown collared t-shirt with a white apron and black pants. i put my (H/L) (H/C) hair in a ponytail and clipped on my nametag that i so proudly wore. i walk out of the dressing room and check if there is anyone waiting to order, which there isn’t, so i decide to go find Mrs. Watanabe. i head to the kitchen, where, i indeed did find her, along with... with...
my crush? wait. hol’ up. what is my crush doing-
“ah, there you are (Y/N)! this is Mirio Togata, starting today he will be working here,” Mirio, despite being the extrovert he is, looked at you and muttered a rather shy-sounding ‘hi’, “i believe you two are from the same school. i was just showing him how things work here but it seems like somebody is trying to order, show him around, won’t you?,” Mrs. Watanabe finished before heading to the checkout to take a girl’s order.
my crush (and upperclassman!) was standing right infront of me and all i did was stand there and stare at him with my mouth open. i mentally punched myself for being this stupid (and possibly freaking him out) and told myself to get it together.
“hey, i- uh, i’m (Y/N). i’ll uh, just show you around then,” i meekly say, and again give myself a mental punch for being this awkward.
“hey, aren’t you like, my underclassman or something? (Y/N) right? i’m so excited to work with you!,” he said in his usual, lovely cheerful voice, doing a small bow.
“yeah, i look forward to working with you too,” i say while i can feel a blush creeping up on my cheeks, “here, i’ll show you around now. here is the oven,” i walk over to it and give it a good ol’ slap, “this bad boy can fit so many buns in it,” he chuckled at my little meme and i continue to show him around the kitchen.
“so for how long have you been working here, (Y/N)? and why here of all places? from your quirk and personality i didn’t even think that you work” he asks while looking at appliances here and there.
“well, i’ve been working here since basically my freshman year. i really like it around here, it’s so relaxing, and-”
“one batch of special (L/N) strawberry pancakes!” i hear Mrs. Watanabe yell.
“coming right up!,” i yell back, forgetting to answer his last question. i am well known for my delicious strawberry pancakes; thats why they have it on the menu, along with my name.
“alright, Togata, you want me to teach you how to make my special pancakes or do you wanna clean the tables?”
“well, uh,” he blushes, “i’ll go clean those tables then!,” he points at them giving a sheepish smile, “catch ya later!” he says and hurries out of the kitchen before i can even ask him to wait.
i sigh to myself and make the pancakes. i can’t stop thinking about Mirio. i can feel my face heating up, which i realize and then blush even more. i had liked him ever since i started in UA, he was perfect in all ways in my eyes. nothing could ever change the way i looked at him.
it took me about 10 minutes to make the pancakes. i neatly arrange them on a plate, and decorate them with whipped cream and strawberries. i put them on the girl’s table, who exitedly moves her books out of the way and thanks me for the food.
i look at mirio, who just finished cleaning his tables, and walk up to him.
“what was that earlier? why’d you so suddenly leave? i thought you were at least interested in learning my secret recipe,” i ask him, finishing that last part with a laugh. i took a seat as we didn’t have any work to be done right now.
“well, you see,” he takes a deep breath, smiles and sits down, “i actually came here yesterday to talk to you but i panicked and instead asked Mrs. Watanabe if i could work here”
well, now i was even more puzzled, and even a little intrigued. i raised an eyebrow, “talk to me? about what? im not even in your class-”
“(Y/N), i was gonna ask you if you wanted to, like, go grab a coffee with me or something?” he blurted out. i’m standing here, practically having a meltdown. did THE Mirio Togata really just ask me out?
“what?” i manage to mutter. he opens his mouth to respond, but i cut him off, “you’re asking me out?”
“i mean, it’s not like you have to, i- i’m not forcing you or anything haha-” he quickly adds while waving his hands in an assuring manner. i was shocked, never in a million years did i expect this to happen. i always admired Mirio from afar, not wanting to act upon my feelings. i always thought he already had a girlfriend considering how many fans he has. but here i was, with him asking me out and all that.
“of course!”, i stand up in joy and he follows my actions.
“wait seriously?,” he asks perplexed, “i’ve had my eyes on you since when you started in UA. i’ve never seen a quirk like yours before, it really caught my attention,” he laughs, “anyways, is tomorrow okay for you? because it sure is for me!,” his voice seeming more excited with every word he speaks.
“yes, tomorrow is fine!,” i reply happily. he gives me a hug and i tense up for a second because of the unexpected contact, and feeling this he quickly pulls back.
“im so sorry! i shouldn’t have done that, i got too carried away-” before he could finish his sentence, i quickly pecked him on the cheek. his face turned a mild tomato red.
“now we’re equal,” i say and he chuckles like his usual and silly self. i return to Mrs. Watanabe to help out with cleaning the counters. he just stood there dumbfounded, grinning like an idiot for a couple of minutes until he eventually returned back to work too.
im sorry if he was kinda OOC, but i had this idea about him working in a cafe and everything lmao am sorry uwu

Hi Frida! I hope you're having a good day! I wanted to request a canon era Race x reader with the sort of "close friends become a couple" trope. Maybe with some platonic Elmer or Jack x reader too. Thanks!!!
Hi anon! Thank you so much! I'll try my best! Sorry if someone seems ooc, I'm still trying to get used to writing these characters! I hope you enjoy!---Overdue"You don't understand, guys! He's just too perfect for me! I mean, have you seen him?" You were sitting on your couch in your apartment with your best friends, Jack and Elmer. Your legs were stretched out over their laps and Elmer was playing with your shoe laces. "We've seen him, (y/n)." Jack sighs. "Yeah, we've seen the way he looks at you." Elmer teases. You throw a piece of popcorn at him and he slaps it away. Jack picks it up and pops it in his mouth. "Gross." "You're gross." "Guys, please!" You take your legs off of their laps and pause the tv where an episode of The Office was playing. "Race and I have been friends for almost a year now and we know basically everything about each other and I am hopelessly in love with him! Okay maybe not love, but you know what I mean!" You throw your hands in the air before letting them drop into your lap.Jack grabs one of your hands and Elmer moves from his spot on the couch and grabs your other hand before sitting on the floor in front of you. "Calm down. We know." Jack starts. "And we're gonna say the same thing we've been telling you for months." "He likes you too!" Elmer squeezes your hand as he says this. "But how do you know?" You ask. "Okay," Jack adjusts his seating position so he's facing you. "You know how I look at Davey?" You nod. Of course you do. Jack is head over heels for that dork. "That's how Race looks at you, hun." You look at Jack and then at Elmer. He nods. "Seriously?" "Yes." Jack and Elmer say at the same time. "Then why hasn't he asked me out yet?" "Maybe you should ask him." Elmer suggests. "What? No! I'd just fumble over my words and make a fool of myself!" "You talk to him every day without doing any of that." Elmer says, grabbing a handful of popcorn with his free hand. "Yes, because I haven't tried asking him out yet!" "(y/n), if I can ask Davey out, you can ask Race." "Yeah, remember when I told you that Spot and I were dating? You could hardly believe that I asked him instead of the other way around." Elmer says, beginning to play with your fingers. "True." "So, ask him out!" Jack says, letting go of your hand and wrapping an arm around your shoulder and shaking you a bit. "Fine! I will." Elmer let's go of your hand and fist pumps the air. "Heck yes! Finally!" Jack gives Elmer a high five and you rolled your eyes. Elmer grabbed the remote from the coffee table and unpaused the tv before sitting against your legs on the floor. You put your head on Jack's shoulder and he rubs your arm.You wake up the next morning to four texts from the group chat you're in with Elmer, Jack, Crutchie, and Davey.Elm Street - (y/n)'s asking Race out today!Crutch - What??? Really???Nerd - Finally!Santa Fe - well maybe not today but soon! You roll your eyes as you roll over in bed before typing out a reply.Fight Me - Elmer stop lying to people. I'll ask him when I'm ready.Elm Street - If u do that u'll never ask him!Nerd - Don't rush her, Elmer. Take as long as you need, (y/n).Fight Me - Thanks, Dave ❤Santa Fe - you promised you would ask him (y/n) don't break that promiseFight Me - I didn't promise shit! I said I'd do it, not I promise!Santa Fe - same difference!!!Crutch - I'm pretty sure there's a difference, Jack...Nerd - Well, whatever you choose to do, (y/n), just know that we support you and we're always here for you no matter what.Fight Me - I appreciate that, Davey, but you're making it sound like there's a chance he might say no.Elm Street - He won't!!!!Santa Fe - he def wontCrutch - No way!!Nerd - Sorry! I didn't mean it like that! And he won't say no, (y/n).You chewed on your lip as you read your friends' messages. Your phone buzzed and a notification showed up on screen.Tracks sent you a message! You tapped the notification and read the text.Tracks - Hey nerdSoft - Sup, dork?Tracks - I was wondering what you were doing todaySoft - Not a lot. I was really just planning on finally cleaning my closet out.Tracks - Orrrrr, you could hang out with me all day :DSoft - Tempting... Okay :)Tracks - YesssSoft - We should go to Frey’s!Tracks - Oooooh yes! It's been a while 😆Soft - Is three a good time to meet?Tracks - Make it 2! I can't wait that long to see you!Soft - You saw me yesterday, RaceTracks - That was like??? 17 hours ago???? 17 hours too long, if you ask me.Soft - Let's make it one, thenTracks - Works for me! 😄Soft - See you then 😊Tracks - 😄😊😋😘The hours leading up to one o'clock were spent trying to convince yourself that you would ask him out on an actual date. Maybe this could be your first date? It's not a big deal, honestly. It's only Race. He's your friend. And Elmer and Jack and basically all of your mutual friends say that he likes you too, so surely they're right... Right? Your heart speeds up as you see him when you turn the corner. He's outside of the restaurant, phone in hand. He looks up from his screen and smiles at you as you approach him. You can't help but smile back. “Hey.” He greets you as he pulls you in a hug. “Hey! How've you been these past 21 hours?” You pull away and look up at him. He's only a dew inches taller than you, but it's enough to have to tilt your head up when you're this close. You could really just close the gap now and kiss him. You took a step back. “They have been the worst 21 hours of my life,” He dramatically puts a hand on his forehead and lets out a sigh. “You're a dork.” “Yeah, I know.” A beat of silence goes by. “We should-” “Um, Race-” “Oh, go ahead.” “Um..” You take a breath before continuing. “Race, I uh… I was wondering…” Why is this so hard? “Uh, I was wondering if, maybe, we could, like, make this a, uh, a date?” Oh god oh god oh god- “Oh, really?” You look back up at him and see his bright blue eyes wide and bright. “Um, yeah?” His face grew a light shade of pink. “I mean, yeah, okay, sure. This can be a date.” He lets out a nervous laugh. “Wait, really?” You ask, not exactly sure what was happening right now. “Yeah.” He smiles at you and you feel your face heat up. “Okay.” “Okay.” He opens the door of Frey’s and you walk in. You shoot a text as you're being seated.Fight Me - Mission accomplished… kinda? We're on a date, so?? Yeah???Elm Street - HOMY SHGITSanta Fe - YESSSYEHSYSNerd - See, I knew you could do it!Crutch- Great job (y/n) :)You turn your phone off and look up at Race. “I think this date is long overdue, doll.” He grins and you could never not smile back. “I agree.”---That's it for now! It's a lot longer than I originally intended, but I think that's a good thing! If y'all want a part two, let me know! I might end up writing a part two anyway, but if that's something you want, shoot an ask my way! Thank you so much for reading! Reblogs are highly appreciated 💜

TMNT Fanfic Peek: Part Three of “The Sunshine Child”
I’m gonna put up another little bit of “He Is Quantum” to see if people can follow the characterizations, and also for advice. Like, I was considering making Leo call Splinter back again from Ghost World to be like, “never mind, I know I forgave you last time I’m still mad at you for not telling is all that crap you were supposed to tell us, and not having time is no excuse” and Splinter being like, “yeah, my bad, I was overwhelmed with the realization that I was gonna die, sorry I only went to you and not my other kids” because fuuuck you canon you can’t just make Splinter be so OOC like that. Anyway. Um, Best to have read “The Spirit Within” which is part two of “Sunshine Child”.
As he finally, finally disappeared into the lab and began to shut the door, he heard Raph yell “THIS IS THE WEIRDEST PRANK EVER.” And he just shook his head and smiled.
****
Donnie was immersed in welding. But recent experience had taught him to hone his ninja sixth sense more than the others, otherwise their apparently telepathic little brother could sneak up on him and do anything and yet somehow not manage to endanger his experiments. Don would watch him randomly pick up something, “what does this do?” and then he would pause and stare at it from all angles, and then he would carefully put it back down and grin, “Cool, I know what it does. Have fun, Dee!” Sometimes he wouldn’t even pick it up, he’d lightly brush his fingers against it and then announce his understanding. And then he’d just watch Donatello for a long time, announce that he was awesome, and skip out.
Donatello found him calling for Mikey and asking if he wanted to see the finished project, and even then Mikey merely smiled in awe.
There…really wasn’t anything Don could panic about. He was so used it to. He almost missed that. Mikey’s tomfoolery kept him on his toes, actuely aware instead of absorbed.
It was still hijinks and pranks. But it was…quieter. Heavier. More…critical in Mike’s thinking? Don still maintained his healthy skepticism; he could not quite rationally believe that ESP could just just show up like that, especially in someone like Mikey. But the kid’s brain had never been on a straight course...
The welding was halfway done when his ears picked up the footsteps and his ninja senses picked up the direction of the visitor. Don pulled back and removed his mask and gloves.
“What’s up, Mikey? Did you want another science book?”
Mikey shook his head, hands behind his back.
“Want to see my latest little invention?
Again, a shake no.
Don frowned. “Mikey? Can you speak? Is something wrong?”
Mike gave him a focused, exasperated look. Then he slammed his hands onto Don’s shoulders. “Let’s try it again.” And he stared, stared, stared in Don’s eyes.
DONATELLO.
CAN.
YOU.
HEAR
ME?
Donnie rocked back and felt a shiver grab his whole body. His eyes widened. “Yuh—yes?”
“Finally!” Mikey said, with an exaggerated roll of his eyes. “You’re definitely the hardest. Raph freaked out a little, but he’s more easy and open I thought. And Leo, well. You know Leo.”
Donnie blinked at him. “You really are telepathic. You’re getting so strong.”
Mike frowned. “Noo, I just screamed so you could feel me. You heard it as words?”
Don blinked. “It’s not supposed to be words?”
“I dunno, they said it was like feelings. Or colors, or something.”
“Well. All right. What was the initial message you were trying to get across?”
“I…I just wanted to know if you guys could feel it when I projected at you. Leo saw colors. Raph felt emotions. You’re the only one who got words.”
Don pressed his tongue to the inside of his cheek. “Possibly because I think all in words. Perhaps this spiritual projective empathy depends on the way the recipient processes thoughts and feelings themselves.” He scratched his chin, then began to pace. Mikey simply watched him, eyes huge, mouth turned down on one side.
Donnie found himself leaning against the arm of the couch, staring at the television, which was playing an episode of Space Heroes: The Next Generation that Leo had played twice over yesterday. Dr. Mindstrong was conversing with a long-haired humanoid feminine alien telepath named Koi.
Okay, so receptive empathy is generally what comics and cartoons portray, but projective empathy is rare and potentially dangerous. His mind whirled. I don’t know if Mikey knows if he’s even capable of that. If he’s able to project simple messages, would that in fact actually count as telepathy? Could he literally manipulate his target into experiencing anger or fear? If so, could that anger or fear then be manipulated even further to actually control the target’s physical movements and mental decisions? Like…okay, Rocksteady. Could Mikey use projective empathy to make Rocksteady hit a Footbot instead of us? I mean, yes, I need to remain skeptical about this entire thing, but pondering all these realistic possibilities isn’t hurting…
“Don? Donnie! Hey! Are you watching this with me or what?”
He blinked again. “Oh. I, uh, yeah, yeah.”
“Okay,” Leo said, “so what did Koi just suggest they do about the return of the Psionoids?”
Donnie froze. He had watched it yesterday, right? What was he doing yesterday? Hadn’t he been upgrading the gaming systems?
“Uhh.”
Doonnniiee, pay atteeenntion!
He grabbed his head. That was Mikey!
Now both Leo and Mikey were staring at him.
“Dude, you got that, right?” Mikey said excitedly. “I projected at you. Did you still get words?”
Leo looked just as excited.
Donatello could only nod. “Y-you told me to pay attention.”
“Wait, you hear him?” Leo asked. “I see colors that kind of tell me what he’s thinking at me. Raph said he just feels whatever Mikey is feeling. So you get words, that’s neat! It’s like telepathy.”
“Dude, high-three, I guess Donnie and I are telepathetic!”
“Mikey, for the last time it’s not-”
“Duh I know, at this point I’m just messing with you guys.”
“…you’re kidding, right.”
Donnie watched as Mikey’s expression turned both completely serious and highly exasperated. “Bro, I have grown up significantly. And none of you have even acknowledged it.”
Of course Michelangelo was using “big” words. He had read a science textbook per day for the last few days and he was inside Don’s own mind. Donatello sighed.
“Leo, sorry, I’ll watch the show. Mikey, I’m sorry it took me so long to respond to you. Wait, where is Raph?”
“Went off with Casey,” Mikey said. “Plus he wants to see how far I can go with this empathy thing, so we’re keeping an open connection. Oh, he’s at that junkyard! Hang on.” He closed his eyes, head tilted one way then the other. “Uhmm. Hey, Don, d’you need another whole toolkit box? Casey just found one. It’s heavy.”
Don watched Leo’s eyes widen.
“Damn, Raph, tell Casey to stop trying to drag it…yes, both of you. He should lift with his knees…there ya go. Oooh, a mini fridge!”
“I’ll take the mini fridge,” Don said out of instinct. Then he blinked. Wait, was he acknowledging this?
“Get the mini fridge, Raph!”
Mikey clapped his hands together and opened his eyes. “They’re on their way back. Casey has the toolbox, Raph has the fridge! Casey wants mushroom, pizza, bee arr bee.”
He dashed off to the kitchen. Don and Leo glanced at each other.
“How…how did he do all that?” Leo asked.
“Why are you asking me? You’re supposed to be the spiritual one.”
“You’re supposed to be the logical one.”
“Parapsychology isn’t meant to follow logic.”
“Isn’t it supposed to be a kind of science?”
“No, it’s supposed to be pseudoscience!”
“There isn’t anything fake about this, Donnie!”
“Obviously not, so I guess we should just call it extrasensory perception and pretend we understand?”
“How is pretending going to help Mikey?” Leo huffed.
Don frowned. “What do you think he needs help with?”
Leo threw up his hands. “Control. Perception. Acceptance. Understanding. Like any sort of ability. We’re ninjas. The mystical arts is part of ninjitsu. Master Splinter had been training us in that.”
“He had been training you, Leo, not us. You were the only one willing to sit still long enough to meditate anywhere near the astral plane.” Donnie folded his arms. “Remember when he got drunk and fought us all? He said that aside from April, you and Michelangelo had…what was it? Ah, yes.” He lowered his voice and held up a finger. “Ahem. Michelangelo and Leonardo have the strongest ability to sharpen their intuition.” He paused, voice steadying out. “Now, I don’t know about you, but I heard a bigger hint in there.”
Leo folded his arms. “You mean, hinting that Mikey was always more spiritual than any of us, maybe even April.”
“Well. He did pass out after you two meditated, and you said he had mentally pushed you or something. And you did claim to talk to our dead sensei who apparently told you he had forgotten to tell us all that Mikey had started exhibiting this powers as a toddler.”
“Claim? Apparently? Donnie, I did see Master Splinter! So did Mikey, he told you, remember?”
“So how come I haven’t? Or Raph?”
“Maybe because you’re too rational and Raph’s too emotional! You’re both too clouded to be as spiritual as we are!”
“Leo, if I weren’t so rational and logical right now I would take that as an insult. And I agree that Raphael is too clouded by his emotions to sharpen his intuition enough to be spiritual. I’m not entirely certain I can believe that Raph and Mikey had a telepathic communication consisting entirely of emotion and feeling, but…”
“But it happened, so shut up!”
They whirled around to see Raphael and Casey, already setting their haul down near the couch.
Raph was already glaring, and Don could feel the air tighten as Leo’s muscles instinctively clenched. Don sighed. “There was evidence when Mikey said he could sense that Casey had found a toolbox and a mini fridge, and yes, the evidence is right in front of my eyes…”
“Don,” Casey interrupted, “man, are you kidding? We’ve been to space. We all saw what happened when Dark April…uh, you know. With Za-Naron. You saying you don’t believe in psychic powers by now?”
“I do!” Donatello snapped. “I mean, April, obviously. But that was through pure genetic manipulation of the DNA of her ancestors by the Kraang, via science. Mikey’s powers are…idiopathic.”
“He’s not an idiot, he’s--!”
“No, idiopathic means of unknown origins! We’re not sure if he was born with them as a normal turtle, or they happened when he mutated, or what. And if they happened after he mutated, why only him, why not the rest of us? What about any other mutants affected by that ooze? And was it only that specific ooze sixteen years ago? What about any current mutants?”
Casey’s jaw hung open. Don couldn’t help but roll his eyes. Raph’s narrowed eyes slid back and forth.
“Hey, Case, here’s your mushroom pizzaaa!” Mikey’s cheerful voice was like a knife of sound. “Hi, Raph! You should wash your hands, there’s mold on that mini fridge.”
“Thank you, Mikey,” and Raph suddenly relaxed his entire body, smirked, and sauntered off to the bathroom.
“Sooo…” Casey took his pizza and flopped onto the couch. Don sighed and grabbed the new toolbox, taking it to the lab. “is that why Mikey is so good in Dimension X?”
“Psshh. Obviously, dude.” Mikey hopped onto the couch beside him, a S’mores pizza in his lap. “”I’m awesome at whatever isn’t rational Earth logic. I’m my own logic.”
“This is incredibly true,” Donnie nodded. “I still have many questions, I still need to do research, I want to conduct experiments, I want to compare your ability to April’s, and I think we should do as many tests as possible.”
Mikey’s grin was prize-winning. “WOO, SCIENCE, YEAH!” “That does not mean you can randomly touch my stuff.”
“Awwww...”
