Also today has been... hard. I had to have two of my dear old quails put to sleep, which was a long time coming but still hit me. And ive just heard now our family dog has just had to join them due to congestive heart failure. That was sudden and I'm honestly still not comphending I

OOC Update, Blog Update, Mini Vent

I truly wonder sometimes if it's the tumblr system fucking me over and not sending me notifications when people interact, or if it's just folks losing interest in plot/thread ideas and quietly dropping them. Then again, I haven't really been online since the new year started. Even back in November, my activity was spotty at best, fueled by little bursts of creativity and fumes from the excitement of October. But fumes run out eventually. And the little bursts of motivation to post online become fewer and father between.

I'm going to be so real; I've been tired of the tumblr RPC for a while. I stuck around for almost 10 years because it introduced me to some AMAZING people, and I genuinely had a lot of fun creating new things with people, and talking about the funny little characters we all have together. But the formatting is tedious, I switch interests at the drop of a hat but cling to others that have lost relevancy with the RPC as a whole, and I just feel like it's harder and harder for me to maintain partnerships with folks only using tumblr.

Not to mention that my senior dog's health looking like a Rollercoaster track with all the ups/downs/loopdiloops, and new challenges facing my intermediate school workplace, have been taking their toll on my energy. I don't want to spend my energy on a platform that I already have to exert extra effort to make tolerable, with so little interaction and feedback to make any of the effort worth it. I want to put that energy towards friends and projects that actually lift me up and bring me joy in what is a very trying time in my life atm.

That all being said, I'm not going to keep anybody in the dark any longer. I'm officially putting this blog into a winter hiatus. All the other blogs associated with this one, like @nomans-land-rp , @the-trails-we-blaze and @plague-on-the-run , will similarly be put on hiatus as well. I'm just going to ride the rest of this winter out trying to keep my head above water, and putting my energy into things that bring me comfort and joy.

I'd like to say that I'm going to spend the winter revamping my blogs, updating character stories and plot lines behind the scenes rather than in public posts, and finally adding characters I've been itching to write again from my early 20-teen years in the RPC for a big comeback in spring. I want to say that's what I'll be doing, because that's what I WANT to do, and HOPE I can accomplish it. But as of right now, I can't guarantee any of that. I'm taking everything one day at a time, and I'm allowing myself the grace to change my mind without any pressure or guilt.

In case I do come back in the spring, this post will be deleted and replaced with a new promo, featuring updated characters, rosters, and storylines. All withdtanding threads will be dropped to open up space for new plots, and new interactions. In case I don't come back, it's been a wonderful time getting to know everyone, i am so thankful for all the interactions and friendships i've made, and I wish everyone the best of luck, and for your RPC experience to continue being a fruitful one.

If you want to keep in touch with me, I am happy to share my discord info with folks who reach out to me in my DMs--although please keep in mind that I reserve the right to pick and choose who I share this information with. The worst I can do is say no thank you, but please respect that boundary--if I do share my info with you, don't just give it out to other people. And if I choose not to share it with you, understand that I'm very selective about my innermost circles, and I want to keep it to folks I really get along with and feel a friendship with.

This blog was thought of like before bfdia started releasing.. I think it came out after it started though?? But still, like, things I have in mind for characters, and plot and whatnot might be a little erm how do I put this... FUCKED UP due to bfdias new releases.. So!! Erm!! I have a solution!!

This blog is more of an AU, basically, where BFDIA got cancelled after episode 5 and they're just living and chilling in yoylecity.. So, uh, anything last episode 5 of bfdia isn't canon to this blog! I’ve just had a ton of irl things get in my way and burnout and also other fixations that caught my eye! I miss this blog tremendously and I really want to come back to this one day. I also realized that this au is pretty big than I thought it would?? XD Which I’m not complaining it’s just I’m trying to figure out how to plot it out and post it. (And plus!! I also have another chapter in the works as well! As well as a oneshot I’d like to post! But I do want to follow the plot and timing (and I’m also afraid it may give out spoilerssss!! Hi, I hate doing this stuff, but I guess I owe everyone an apology for disappearing. A lot has happened since I last tried to get back here and I feel like I'd do a disservice if I'd explain it here like it's nothing- since a lot of people got hurt, me included- and looking at this profile has been like being stabbed lately.. I tried sitting down to answer messages but my inbox is filled with hate I don't think I deserve, regardless of everything- cause the hate in question wasn't just harmless sentences or telling me to deactivate- but purposely targeted personal stuff that whoever wrote it knew what they were doing..

All of this to say that I will put this account on rest until I can figure out how to deal with this emotionally, I'm up for roleplaying on discord in case someone is still interested- though I highly doubt- and I will be "active" on main if anyone wants to talk or stay in contact, my dms are always open.

I don't want anyone to get any hate, reason why Im not saying names or talking about what happened specifically in respect to everyone involved, so please as always keep in mind to practice kindness towards everyone.

But I'm still kicking around. I haven't had much brain space for writing, but I miss it terribly. I miss talking to people. I miss plotting. I miss random prompts that spin off into ridiculous sagas. I miss having ideas and enjoying things.

I still lurk and send the occasional shitposty anon, but it's like. Popcorn. Small, fun, satisfying for a short time, but it's not a full meal.

I dunno. Reaching out has been hard lately. It doesn't come as easily as it did when I was younger, and with the state of the world being what it is these days, it's not going to get any easier; overcoming the instinct to isolate is tricky.

And as a small aside, there's also this nonsense about how anyone who writes with em dashes is AI, and like. No??? You can pry em dashes from my cold, dead hands.

Anyway, I don't really know where I'm going with all this.
