i wish onmyoji were more of a thing talked abt in english circles so that the translation could get across that the takis were more like. government employees than rogue heretics (AT FIRST) lol

For once Susu withheld personal input, remaining glued to Taki's shoulder and politely blinking at the Queen of the merfolk. Tagitsuhime did occasionally mention their uncanny similarity in conduct, though at the time he elected to disregard the comment until the moment he personally chanced to converse with Senhime.

A few instants were granted to contemplate that which transpired, evaluating her decisions and course of action; albeit the drastic alterations she attempted prior, he could resonate with her intent. "With your renewed determination, the Sea of Eternity will rise again." With a curt nod, his posture bent in a graceful bow, forcing the iguana friend to hurriedly scramble onto his back to prevent detachment. Despite pursuing own ambitions, Taki deemed fit to offer aid, as one could not ostracize self from matters within the depths of the sea eternally. "If and when the need will arise, you can always count on the support of the Golden Claw and its crew, extending to my personal assistance." There was an inkling that those murky waters would be visited by the Fateshaper anew.

nerd rambles about disappointing video game being disappointing

aka some of my thoughts on onmyoji's new characters of the golden cruise event

honestly, i'm really liking this event so far! i've only read the first three chapters, but it's still a lot of fun!! seimei's on a solo mission, competing challenges on a mysterious (and beautiful) boat to hopefully learn more about kuzunoha! yay!! not to mention stuff like the new material collection system in the battle portion and komatsu's new skin :3 it's all so much fun!

but that being said, some aspects of this event are kinda lackluster... mainly the golden tentacles' crew members

i assume that the devs were scrambling to rearrange everything after they scrapped tamatori (rip queen <3), which could explain why the remaining characters feel pretty... underwhelming. they all have their merits, but they aren't really pulling their own weight to fill the tamatori shaped hole in the story.

i'll start off with the one i have the least complaints about, shiro-uneri. the first ever surgeon in onmyoji, cool!! i'll have to reread his backstory since i forgot some things, but being turned into a spirit by taki after failing to save his crew is so :(((( but that could explain my main complaint with him (and the other characters) - his design is beautiful, but he doesn't feel like a part of the crew. he doesn't even look like a sea yokai, more like a near budget version of sp orochi. L

next is tagitsuhime. she's adorable, but once again i feel like she doesn't look like a crew member. but she at least looks like a sea yokai, esp with her splatoon-esque hair. and i love her personality, but onmyoji is using the "small stand-offish >:P girl" archetype a bit too much. it's the same personality as kingyo and kotodama, but with their edges sanded off (as seen with how she treats taki). i love her and the two others i mentioned, but this type of character is getting a little stale...

but speaking of stale!! taki isn't just stale, he's moldy with a giant bacteria infection. i'm so sick of every new male ssr being some combination of a beloved figure with white hair and no personality beyond calm and stoic and BORING. taki is all that with an iguana named "hizz". absolute L. his design is ass and clearly just taking insp from that old blue french guy from genshin impact so the influx of genshin fans will be happy and try to summon him. BUT!!!!!! despite all that, there are still some things i like about him. the fact that he calls tagitsuhime "sharkie" is adorable, and he actually showed some personality, being overjoyed when seimei figured out his wordplay with the first challenge. i wish they did more with that - making taki more visibly happy or even theatrical, treating this adventure with both seriousness and fun. we are in DESPERATE need of a silly SSR but the devs are too busy making another cheap boring husbando to care

Taki cares a lot about the ship's crew members because he's afraid that his childhood tragedy with the wreck of their family ship might happen again. Testing his fate again and again in the depths of the sea, Taki wants to find an escape from his painful past.

Not a summary, just some points I think interesting.

0. Title: Three Photos and the Strange Tea Party

1.Taki and Matoba have known each other. Not familiar, they just simply met each other on Taki’s grandfather’s seventh(七回忌，six years after) anniversary of death (He went on behalf of his father, he was not the clan head back then). Matoba knows the onmyoji background of Taki’s family. 

2.Matoba loves desserts. He even ordered ‘Basque cheesecake with plenty of foreign wine cherry tart'(by google translation). He said sweet could make him calm when he was thinking. 

3. When Sensei asked Natsume to order the same thing, Matoba didn’t recommend underage ordering it because “just one bite will make you drunk.”

4. Isamu has bad taste in clothes LOL And he kept making same pose in all pictures LOL  The sunglasses were a gift from Taki.

5.  Matoba found out Natsume being unexpectedly not delicate.

6. But then Natsume found out Matoba is delicate and kind to Taki.

7. Matoba doesn’t like divination, so he asked Natsume to divine where Isamu was. Natsume called a three eyes youkai and fortunately, it only took away their desserts as its price.

8.Matoba knew the three eyes youkai was a strong one. “It’s a pity, we could have asked something more important.” Motaba said.

9. Sensei didn’t notice Nanase before she appeared....?

10. Matoba stated “you have a good sibling relationship.” We know he and his older sister may not get along well...

11.The last picture from Isamu. After Taki told him what to do, the youkai hadn’t followed him then.
