a/n: my fic for @wannab-urs's event - dom that middle aged man! 💖 thank you so much for hosting this (and excited to share, I've always wanted to write sub!din!)
You’d liked this, when you first got together. His desire. How much he wanted to consume you. To take - the weight of his armor pressing into your back, as he drove you into the thin mattress of his bunk.
But this is what you like more. The leash he offers so willingly to you. Eager to obey, even as the collar tightens. Following at your heels.
After all, his duty is to his people. But it’s you that he serves.
His gaze has been on you all night.
You’ve learned the weight of it, even through his helmet. How his eyes find your form, again and again.
Lingering on your face - bare, as the traditions of your clans. On glint of silver against your throat, dipping down to your breasts.
His helmet tilting as he finds you again.
Knowing what he is thinking, for it is on your mind as well.
You’d managed a quick reunion. Lasting no more than a heartbeat, as you met him at his ship. Fingers tracing against your hip, as your lips pressed against the curve of his helmet. Bunching in the whisper-thin silk of your ceremonial dress.
Not finding what he was looking for. A growl, that was cut short.
All too eager to whisk you away, but even with his unexpected arrival, he hadn’t been able to escape his duty.
You’re too far away to hear the debriefing, but you can imagine your husband’s voice getting shorter. Impatient. Clipped.
That’s what two weeks away from you does to him.
Especially with the messages you sent to his holo, two days prior. Waiting until after the negotiations were done.
Giving him everything except what he wanted. Glimpses of flesh, where the gossamer robe wrapped around you. The soft curve of a breast, the fabric pebbled at shadowed peaks.
Glistening fingertips between plump flesh, swollen with desire.
The last was the only one with a message. A small, thin chip pinched between thumb and forefinger.
He’d know what it was.
Had been there when it was placed in your hip, his hand wrapped in yours as the needle pierced flesh.
Had talked about it often, late a night, a shared wish for the future.
One that has come, now.
Come home soon.
Din had been two days away.
After your message - he had made it in one.
He’s on you the moment the bedchamber door closes. Backing you up against the heavy stone. Gripping at your waist, as your face tips to his.
You’d liked this, when you first got together.
His desire.
How much he wanted to consume you. To take - the weight of his armor pressing into your back, as he drove you into the thin mattress of his bunk.
But that felt like a lifetime ago.
“Let me see you.”
There’s no hesitance in the way he reaches for his helmet, and you can feel the space between your thighs dampen.
His dark eyes blown wide with need, when it lifts off his head. Parted lips as he pants, brow furrowed. The thick curls, begging to be tugged.
But this is what you like more.
The leash he offers so willingly to you. Eager to obey, even as the collar tightens. Following at your heels.
After all, his duty is to his people.
But it’s you that he serves.
He moans against the press of your mouth. Once-clumsy kisses now practiced. Your teeth nipping at his lower lip until he opens willingly. Hips rocking against yours when you lick into his mouth.
Red painted against his mouth, from your painted ones.
It’s been far too long.
You’d never tell him, but you’d been waiting as well.
A sigh slipping from your lungs at the hands that skitter up your waist. Almost pawing at you as he mouths at your throat.
The pulse point beneath your ear.
Knowing better than to leave a mark.
That’s only for you - his skin your canvas.
His lips hovering at the necklace - a silver pendant tucked between your breasts. A soft and reverent kiss against it, as his legs start to bend.
Slowly lowering to his knees, as your thighs make room for him.
His nose ghosting against your belly. Down - tilting to kiss against your hip. Your mound, before he’s moving to inhale you.
“Let me.” It’s rasped out, as his eyes tilt up. Fingers gathering the hem that brushes your ankles, as his knees spread against stone.
“You were good?”
Din groans, his mouth pressing against your core. The silk dampening beneath his tongue, sticking the fabric against your slick folds.
His breath hot, and you have to resist the urge to squirm.
“Fuck,” His fingers inch higher. Stroking against soft skin, “You know I was, cyare.”
Your breath hitches, when his knuckles drag against your slit. Something akin to a whine sliding from his throat when he meets bare skin - his earlier curiosity finally sated.
“How did it feel?”
There’s a ragged huff of a laugh. His other hand dropping down to palm at his crotch. Teeth gritting, hips flexing.
Fingers parting you, letting the tip of his finger nudge at your entrance.
“You shouldn’t have sent those messages.”
Your eyebrow arches, your grin sly, “You didn’t like them?”
He makes another rough sound. A hand fisting on the hem of your skirt again - tugging it up until it’s gathered against your abdomen.
Baring you fully - the part of your thighs, where his palm curves against your core. Tongue dipping across his lip in anticipation.
An effort, in the way his eyes drag back up to your face. Voice rough, the scrape of stone against metal.
“You know what you do to me.”
You clench around his finger. Eager for him, though you’ve learned to school your face - a second mask to the one you wear.
How well your husband listens.
The verbal confirmation sending another hot rush of need. Your own fingers slipping down, past his knuckles. Fitting beneath the dip of his chin, petting between your slick thighs.
The tips coming back shining. His mouth parting automatically, as you slip two fingers against his tongue.
“And see what you do to me?”
His eyes slip shut - groaning, as he sucks. Tongue laving against your skin, thankful for anything you give him. Another shift of his hips, his own hand flexing against you, when you slide your fingers free.
Forefinger and thumb against his chin, leaving a gleam of spit behind, as you guide him where he aches to be.
You can feel the heat of his breath for a heartbeat, before his mouth meets you. The moan breathed out against your skin, tongue flattening against your clit.
Hungry, in the way he devours you. Lapping at the tight bud, while his finger remembers how to move. A second added, as his lips wrap around and suck.
It sends waves of bliss coursing through you. A tremble in your legs, before one hooks over his shoulder. A heel pressed against his armor, urging him closer.
He’s all too willing to obey. Losing himself in your pleasure, soft sounds slipping from his throat as he works you open. As his tongue flicks, again and again.
You can already feel it start to build. He’s always known how to touch you, his eagerness and your own self-restraint only fueling the fire in your belly.
“If only they could see you now,” You breathe out, in wonder. Tugging at the curls at the nape of his neck, but it only makes him moan, “On your knees for me.”
His eyes lift to meet yours. Giving himself to you, his mind focused on only one thing - the taste of you against his tongue.
“What would they think, knowing I keep their Mand’alor in a cage?”
A low oath slips from him. Another flex of his hips, as his fingers curl against a spot that makes you see stars.
Your next words coming as a soft command.
“Show me.”
You mourn the way his fingers slip from you. Gleaming, as they drop to his armor. Loosening the golden belt, removing the ven'cabur beneath. Drawing himself out.
The light catches on the beskar beneath.
Pretty and gleaming. Ornamental in its design, but your family did come from a long line of forgers.
It had been easy, to craft a piece to compliment him. An extension of his armor. A near-constant reminder of your absence.
For that is what it was.
Not to punish him. Din would never stray, you believed that with your whole heart.
Instead, it was to ensure that he did not spill himself needlessly. That every drop of his essence was spent where it belonged - deep inside his wife’s pretty cunt.
A shared idea. A secret.
He had almost been late in leaving, with the amount of time it had taken to lock it around him. The key left with you, along with his heart.
“Pretty,” You coo. Even better up close, you're sure - though you will have to wait.
He hums in agreement. Focused now, tracing your clit with a pattern he knows will make you cum. The hand leaving his armor to knead the flesh of your ass, tilting your pussy to his mouth.
But you can’t resist teasing him, even as your breath grows short. As your tone catches on an edge, needing to hear it.
The toe of your boot shifting just enough to nudge at him.
“Whose pretty cock is that?”
A groan is muffled against your skin. His rhythm knocked off-kilter, as he mumbles his reply.
“Yours, cyare.”
You’re nearly there. The edges of your vision darkens, heart hammering behind your ribs.
“You-,” You start, as your toes curl. As the pressure builds in your belly, threatening to burst, “You want me to take it off?”
Surely he must feel the pressure of the metal. The way his cock strains with desire against the cage, still held back.
“No.” He rasps.
“Not yet.”
The denial makes you come. A cry leaving your lips as you fall apart against his mouth. As he licks at you eagerly - fingers fitting inside you once more, to give you something to clench around. Feeling the tight pulse around them, against the flat of his tongue.
Letting you ride out your orgasm, the pleasure shared. Hips shifting involuntarily, meeting open air.
And only when your back relaxes against the door, does he allow you to lead him to bed.
You leave marks against his skin, as you move down.
His armor removed carefully. Ritualistically, set aside in the padded crate near your shared bed.
Streaks of red from your lips, their outline lightening as it transfers. Neck, chest, abdomen.
Halting at the one piece he still wears.
The metal encircling him, giving you peeks of swollen skin. A jerk of his hips when you trace against his sack, drawn tight with need.
Then, up.
“You’re dripping.” Your fingers trace against the tip, just brushing the flushed skin beneath.
Coming back shining, his eyes fixed on yours as you taste him with your tongue.
“Is it for me?”
His answer comes in a roughened rush.
“Always.”
You hum, lips curling. Pushing yourself up, letting him watch the way you tug the dress from your shoulders. Baring yourself - the soft sways of your breasts, shifting until your hips rest flush with his.
His hands twitching where you pushed them above his head, warning him not to move.
Your name gritted out, a futile warning, when you shift against the cold metal of the cage.
Letting it slide against your clit, slick with your release. With his need, so wholly restrained.
“Please.” It’s bitten out.
Your fingers play with the necklace. His reaction cataloged away, for later. Eyes fixed on his as you slowly dip back down.
“Should make you wait longer,” You muse, “But you listened, didn’t you?”
He has long enough - you can see it in the way his muscles string tight. The need written across his face, as he watches your movement.
“I would wait,” Din husks, “For as long as you wished it.”
The spark flares to life again. A kiss press against the metal, before your necklace touches against it.
A click as the cage unlatches - careful in the way you ease it from him.
His breath comes in a low hiss, when you touch him. The feather-light drag of your nails against sensitive skin, jerking to life beneath your fingertips.
Hardening, now that he was no longer restrained. Two weeks of that tight pressure eased, and it feels like a fresh breath of air.
He tastes like you, when your mouth presses against his. Tongue stroking against yours when you line him up against your entrance, your fingers struggling to wrap around.
Moaning against your mouth, when you finally sink down.
Finally home.
Finally where he needs to be, as you gasp at the intrusion. His fingers opening you up before, but it’s always a stretch.
Leaving behind a delicious burn, one you’ve craved. Hips rocking as you get used to the weight of him inside you, once more. Until that dull ache bleeds away to bliss.
And finally your hips lift - gliding up the full length of him. Clenching around the tip before you drop back down.
One, two.
Hands braced against his chest as you bounce on his cock, as his own curl into fists. Eyes glazed - lips parted as he watches you, his heart pounding beneath your flattened palms.
Three, four.
Stroking a spot deep inside you, one you’d chase if he wasn’t so far gone. His eyes greedy where he watches you take him, the shine of his cock before it’s buried in you.
Five, six.
It’s then that you lean forward. Lips ghosting against his, pulling back before he can chase after.
“Are you going to give me what I want, riduur?” You croon, testing your teeth against his throat.
His pulse spiking - a rough buzz beneath your lips as he exhales a sharp breath.
Seven. Eight. Nine.
Picking up speed, as you nip at his ear.
“Fill me? Get me swollen with you?” A hand ghosting across your belly, as you sigh against him, “Let everyone who you belong to?”
Din growls, but it pitches long. Low, caught in his throat at he shifts beneath you.
“Gedet’ye, ner runi.”
Slipping into his native tongue, as his thoughts loose in his grasp. His begging is a symphony, combined with the slap of your skin against his. With the slick slide of his cock, his panting breath.
“I can’t-," Din husks, "Not going to last.”
Your lips stretch wide with your smile.
“Want you to,” You purr, “Give me what you were made for.”
Ten, Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen.
Once again, your husband comes early.
Forgetting himself - his hands coming to grip at the curve of your waist. Denting flesh as he tugs you down, holding you against the rut of his hips as he spills with a muffled shout inside you.
A ragged breath, each time his cock throbs. Wordless moans as two weeks of his desire is spent, filling you until it threatens to spill over.
Until the iron-grip of his fingers relax. Eyes left-heavy lidded. Only tightening when you make to move off him.
Keeping you in place, his cock still notched to the hilt inside you.
“I missed you.” You tell him, fingers tracing his jaw. Against grown-long scruff, flecked with silver.
A kiss pressed against the spot that never fills in all the way. More peppered across his cheek, until his breathing slows.
“Missed you.” It’s huffed out. The flash of teeth, as he draws your mouth to his.
Still hungry, even after all this time. Barely sated, even as he fills you.
“Did you-?” It’s murmured against your lips, when you break to breathe, “You meant it?”
Your eyes are soft, when you grab his hand to your hip. The still-tender spot, letting his thumb press against soft skin.
He groans, low and throaty. Flipping you beneath him, as his eyes drag down your form - as if you have changed, already.
As if it’s already taken, as your thighs widen to make room for him. Letting him slip from you, but his fingers are already there.
Sliding against slick skin. Gathering himself up - where he’s leaked from you. Fucking it back inside, working himself deeper.
Stroking against that spot, as his lips slot against yours.
He’ll make you come again.
Again, and again, if that’s what it takes.
Your husband was always good at giving you what you want.
thank you so much for reading! excited to start this year off like the last - domming our fave old men. 💖

Chapter 23
Chan pulled up to the house and everyone got out of the car. You were last to climb out, having been squished in the far back of the oversized suv. It wasn’t a long drive from the police station but you were tired. You hadn’t slept much, too worried about how the day would go.
“Why are we back at the house?” you question.
“Because we need to grab some things.” Chan said as they walked up the front steps. The brick was chipped and wobbly in spots but mostly intact. You held onto Jisung as you walked, trying not to be clumsy and fall.
Inside, all the guys went downstairs in a rush. They moved with purpose down the stairs, jumping at the end since the bottom four stairs were missing. You were following them and stopped at the last step. Just as you were about to jump…
“Whoa, careful. Just stay there. We will only be a few minutes.” Minho said.
You pout. The house gave you the creeps these days so you were not trying to be alone right now. You were afraid the floor would give out underneath you or someone else would be lurking around. Or the house would collapse on them (like it had done in several nightmares you had had lately).
Jeongin, noticing your pout and picking up on your anxiety, climbed back up on the steps. “I’ll stay with her.”
Minho nodded before joining the others. You couldn’t see what they were doing despite leaning down to see.
“Come on, we can go back upstairs.” Jeongin says, resting a hand on your arm.
You hesitate but move your feet to follow him. You make it upstairs and he pulls you into a hug. Rubbing your back, he slowly rocks the two of you. It was a moment before either of you spoke.
“You okay?” he whispers.
“Yeah…” you say into his chest.
He pulls back, looking at you with a disbelieving expression. “You sure?”
“The house just….” you shrug. “It makes me anxious.”
“Me too. It feels unstable… like the whole thing could just crumble any minute.” Jeongin looks around towards the roof. “Wanna wait outside?”
You nod eagerly and he smiles, leading you outside. The two of you sit in the grass next to the driveway. Leaning over, Jeongin kisses you. You smile and he kisses you again. You melt into the kiss, all your worries miraculously fading away. He pushes you down onto your back, hovering over you. He places his hips between your legs and you moan into his mouth. He chuckles, peppering your face with kisses. You giggle and he leans up.
“Feeling better?”
Blushing, you pull him in for another kiss to answer his question.
He can’t help but grind his hips slightly, making you arch your back. The kiss was heated and passionate, the two of you lost in each other. You reached your hands up his shirt, caressing his skin. His hand slides down your side, smacking at your ass lightly.
You bite your lip, looking into his eyes.
“I didn’t think you would like it rough…” Jeongin nips at your neck.
“Something about the way you do it I guess…” you whisper with a smirk.
He kisses your neck, dangerously close to Minho’s mark. He feels the urge within him start to grow. There was a hard bulge in his pants pressing into your core and making you wetter by the minute. He wasn’t even in rut but he wanted to mark you. He wanted to make you his, as an alpha does - as Chan and Minho had. His teeth graze your skin and you moan, tilting your neck to give him better access.
It takes all his resolve to pull his lips from your neck, pecking your lips before hovering over you once more. God, he could take you right here, right now. If only you had the time…
“What’s wrong?” you ask, dazed from the scent of his arousal and the feeling of him between your legs.
“They will be coming out soon.” he pants.
“Right.” You say, remembering that you two weren’t alone. And that bigger things were happening right now.
The two of you sit up, Jeongin pulling a bit of grass from your hair. You move over to sit in his lap, leaning into his chest as you wait for the others to return. A few minutes later and the front door opens, the boys exiting. You stand, tensing as you see the weapons they held.
“You have guns?” How did you not know they had a whole arsenal somewhere in the basement?
“Yeah. We have a supply hidden away. Luckily it was untouched by the damage.” Chan answered, loading the bags of ammo into the trunk.
“Yeah. Could you imagine if the grenades had been hit?” Jisung muttered.
“The whole house would be ash.” Felix notes.
Your eyes went wide at the realization.
“Y/n? You okay?” Chan asks.
“I want one.” you blurt out, not entirely sure what came over you.
You hated guns, afraid to touch one. You had plenty of them held up to you, or aimed and shooting at you to want to handle one. So why do you find yourself wanting one to use against Reed?
“Babygirl…you don’t need one.” Chan says, caressing your cheek.
“If I’m to confront Reed, I need more than just my hands.” you argue.
That much was true. You hadn’t had enough training with Changbin to be a strong fighter - especially with an alpha.
“Hudson will be with you. And we won’t be far behind.” Chan kisses your head, going around the car. “Come on, we gotta get to the coffee shop.”
You pout as Changbin steps closer to you.
“Shhh” he says, secretly handing you two daggers. “Just in case.”
You smile and he winks. “Thank you.”
“Of course. I can’t have my girl defenseless.” Changbin pecks your temple before opening the car door for you.
You hid the daggers in your knee high boots and climbed in. The rest of the boys piled in as well and they headed to the rendezvous point.
The rendezvous point was two blocks down from the coffee shop you and Hudson were supposed to be meeting Reed at. Reed had texted early this morning, telling Hudson to meet him there. He told him to come alone and that he had people ready to kill should something happen to him. Hudson didn’t know who they were set to kill so he wasn’t going to take that chance. He did, however, figure your presence wouldn’t provoke him to act on his backup plan.
The police agreed to hang back, letting you go in with Hudson. Minho and Chan did insist that Changbin would be sent in with you as backup, should something pop off. He would sit away from you as a normal civilian but at least he was close.
You were sitting at a bistro table, sipping tea while Hudson sat on his phone and drank coffee. Changbin was two tables over, reading a self-help book as he subtly eyed their surroundings.
Ten minutes.
Then twenty minutes went by and Reed was still not here.
“He’s not gonna show. He knows-” Hudson spoke, exasperated.
“He will. Have patience.” You say.
Hudson leans back in his chair, sighing heavily.
“What are you even going to say to him when he shows up?”
“He just has to show up, then the cops get him. I don’t have to say anything.” Hudson whispers.
You glare.
“I’m going to the bathroom.”
“Don’t let him take his phone.” one of the cops says into your earpiece.
“Leave your phone.” you say.
“Why?” he turns around, giving you a confused expression.
“So you’re not plotting behind our backs.” you cross your arms.
He rolls his eyes but places the phone on the table dramatically. He spins on his heel, walking off to the bathroom. You look around, sipping tea and scrolling on your own phone.
Two minutes pass.
The phone begins to buzz, vibrating on the table. You pop up, nearly spilling your cup on your shirt. You pick up the phone, seeing the caller ID. Reed.
“He’s calling…” you mumble so the cops on the other end of your wire hear you.
You swallow, hitting the answer button. You bring the phone to your ear, hesitating to speak.
“Hello, little sis.” Reed says.
Your eyes go wide, looking around in a panic. How did he know you were here?
“Calm down. I need you to do me a favor.”
“And why would I do anything for you?” You whisper, your words laced with hatred.
“Because your bodyguard is currently being transported to an undisclosed location.”
You whip your head around to where Changbin had been sitting. What? How? Where did he go?
“What do you want?” you ask through clenched teeth.
“That’s more like it..” you could hear the smirk on his face. “First…remove the wire you’re wearing. This conversation is just for us.”
You clench your jaw, looking around for anyone to help. Sighing, you place the phone down on the table and reach into your shirt to pull the cord out. You pulled all the pieces out, placing them in front of you.
“Y/n, what are you doing?!” Hudson asked, coming back to the table.
You shook your head, picking his phone back up.
“Good job. Now, tell Hudson that I will text him an address for him to take you two. If he disobeys me again, I’ll kill your precious soulmate. No cops. No other pack members - just you two.”
Tears welled in your eyes, fear coursing through you.
“Move now, before the cops reach you. There’s an old black mustang around the corner. Keys are in the center console.”
You look around trying to find him. Somehow he knew where Chan and the cops were hiding out. And by removing your earpiece, you knew they would come to your rescue.
“Move.” he growls.
You stand quickly, hurrying Hudson with you. You go around the block before Hudson stops and demands to know what’s going on. Reed hangs up so you hand Hudson his phone.
“Find a black mustang and start driving north. Hurry” It’s all you tell him.
Hudson sighed, looking at the cars parked on the street. At the end of the block ahead was the car. He pointed and the two of you ran over to the car. Testing the doors, he finds them unlocked. He shakes his head as he gets in. You look around once more, coast clear, and climb in. Hudson drives the two of you towards the southbound freeway and, just before the freeway exit, he throws his phone out the window.
“Hey! How’s he going to text you the address of where we are to meet him?”
Hudson reaches into the glovebox and pulls out a disposable phone, handing it to you. You flip it open, reading the address texted by an unknown number. You put it in the navigation and he follows the GPS.
“Why didn’t he show up at the coffee shop?” Hudson asks you.
“He knew we involved the cops…and my pack. He took Changbin.”
Hudson whips his head to you, studying you briefly before looking back to the road. Tears were pooling in your eyes as you watched the road but you blinked them away. You had to be strong right now…for your boys.
“How are the cops supposed to find us?”
“I still have my phone…he didn’t think of everything.” you smile.
Hudson smirked.
The drive took nearly an hour, the anxiety crippling. You were chewing your nails most of the drive, knowing the rest of your boys were probably so worried. You turned off your location for thirty minutes, slowing them down so Reed wouldn’t know they were following you. Your location was back on and you hoped they noticed. If they did, they should be on the way.
Hudson pulled up into a parking lot of a school. The parking lot was covered in cracks and weeds, the school looking forgotten. Half the windows were boarded and the doors had chains on them keeping them locked. A faded sign was missing a few letters but you could still tell what it was saying - Levanter Elementary School. Why did that sound familiar?
“Why here?” Hudson groaned.
“You’ve been here?”
“We all have. This was our first school.” Hudson says. “You don’t remember it?”
You think back to any memories you have of attending school, realizing you do. You see a specific day - sunny and warm as your parents dropped you off. Mom was pregnant at the time, due any day. You remember being so excited to have a sibling.
“Why would he send us here?” you question.
The burner phone chimed and Hudson read the text.
“We have to head around back. There’s an open door back there.”
“I don’t like this. We should wait for the others.”
“We do and Changbin is dead. They aren’t supposed to come, remember?”
You groan.
Closing your eyes, you take a deep breath and roll your shoulders back. Confidently you sit up, opening the car door. Hudson gets out too, leading you around the building. Sure enough, there was a door propped open. It was getting dark outside and you didn’t like that. You tried to recall everything Changbin taught you about self defense, hoping it wouldn’t come to that.
Hudson steps in first, looking around the darkened, abandoned school and heading to the right. Hudson tried the light switches, knowing it was a long shot - they didn’t turn on as suspected. You stay close behind, afraid someone is going to pop out. You creep down the hall, inching forward into the darkness.
BANG!
You jump, spinning around. Behind you the door you entered was now shut. You groan, gripping onto Hudson’s arm.
“Guess we aren’t leaving that way.” Hudson deadpans.
“Pretty sure that was the only way.” you mutter.
“Come on.”
Hudson keeps walking, leading the two of you into a rotunda with a few different hallways. There was a staircase behind you and beyond that was a cafeteria. The other way had a library and a front office.
“Which way?” you whisper.
“Hello?!” He calls out and you flinch.
Nothing.
“Anyone here?” he calls out once more.
Chime.
Hudson read the text then pointed towards the stairs. “Upstairs.”
The two of you go to the second floor, going around the corner to an office room. You enter and look around at the scattered papers. It was just lesson plans and permission slips. The door shuts behind you, making you jump. The hairs on the back of your neck stood tall as you heard someone breathing.
“Finally…we are all together again.” It was Reed.
You turn slowly, his face causing anger to build up inside you.
“Y/n, good to see you. I do hate that it’s under these circumstances, though.”
“It’s your own doing.” you retort.
He smirks.
Your fingers twitch for the daggers in your boots at that fucking smug face. You want to end this here and now.
“Well, I have a plane ready to take us out of the country. We leave tonight.” Reed says matter of factly.
“I’m not going anywhere with you.” you state.
“Then why are you here?” he tilts his head, an amused smile on his face.
“To kill you.”
He laughs. A deep, hearty belly laugh - as if you couldn’t possibly be serious.
You reach for a dagger and pull it from your boot. He sees you and stops laughing, but his face is still amused.
“Go ahead and try.” Reed says, opening his arms.
You grip tightly on your dagger, studying him for a weak spot. You were about to lunge when you hear police sirens outside. Wow they got here fast. Reed turned to focus on the sirens and you took this opportunity to go for the kill, aiming for his ribs. He catches you by the arm, twisting it backwards so you inevitably drop the dagger. Damn.
“I thought I told you to lose the cops.” he says, closing in on your face as he kicks the dagger away.
“We did. We didn’t tell them we were coming here.” Hudson says. “Please, let her go. We did everything you asked.”
You groan at the pain radiating from your arm. Any more twist on it and something would break.
“If you had, the police wouldn’t be here. Go get rid of them.” Reed glares at him.
You move your free hand to punch him but he just grabs your fist and shakes his head. You bring your knee up, meeting his crotch with a harsh blow. He groans, his hold on you lessening. You take this chance to snatch your hands free and reach for your other dagger. You move your arm up but he catches. Fuck, he’s fast.
You push with all your might against his strength. The dagger slowly lowers, grazing his leg and drawing blood. This pisses him off and he moves quickly, knocking your hand with his knee. The dagger skitters across the floor away from you and he throws you towards the floor.
“Go.” Reed demands.
“If they don’t see her with me, they won’t believe me.” Hudson complains.
“Then tell them I took her away in a car. Go.” Reed growled.
When Hudson doesn’t move, Reed pulls a gun from his waistband, removing the safety, and aiming it at Hudson.
Hudson gave you one last sympathetic look before rushing out the room.
“This was your doing, wasn’t it?” Reed questions.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” you say.
He squats down, grabbing you by the neck. “Lie to me again and I’ll kill you.”
Your head was pounding from hitting the floor as Reed released you. Standing, he grabs a walkie and speaks in a language you don’t understand. You worry what he could have told his people. What if they were told to kill the boys as they entered?
He then stands and walks to the oversized desk. He types on the keyboard and soon the screens turn on, illuminating the dim, windowless room. You move to crawl towards the door but he turns, aiming the gun at you.
“Don’t even think about it. I’m not against shooting you.”
You shrink back into yourself, hugging your knees to your chest. He turns back around and you can make out some of the screens, noticing it was a live feed of the school you were currently in.
“Check this out.” He says with a smirk.
You stand reluctantly. As you watch, you see Hudson get whacked over the head and fall to the ground. You wince, fear coursing through you as you realize you’re now alone. He could steal you away, or worse and no one would know.
“There they are.” He points to a top screen, showing figures entering the building.
You counted at least ten and hoped some of them were your boys. Well, maybe you shouldn’t hope that. It would be better if they weren’t here in case Reed decided to blow anything else up.
“Since they decided to show up, I guess I can just kill them now.” Reed smiles and cocks his gun, checking the chamber before moving across the room.
“Don’t you dare.” You say, reaching for him to stop him from leaving.
He whips around, knocking you in the head with the barrel of the gun. It knocks you back and you fall to the floor. He groans, rolling his shoulders and tilting his head to each side, cracking his neck. Then he leaves the room and heads downstairs.
You rush over, hearing a click as you reach the door. You pull on it and it doesn’t budge - it was locked. You look at the cameras, catching a few other metal doors sliding into place. Coming closer, you realize the school was going into some kind of lockdown mode.
What kind of school has a lockdown mode this severe? You thought.
You bang on the door a few times before pulling out your phone. You hit the call button, attempting to call Chan. There’s a beep and you look at the screen: Call Failed. You sigh, sliding down the wall and sobbing.
“Hyunjin and Seungmin, head upstairs and see if you can find them. Jeongin and Jisung, you two hit the basement. Felix, Minho and I will take this level.” Chan whispers, moving forward down the hall.
The police were ahead of them, making sure they were clear to move on. Each of the members had a weapon ready in hand as they creeped through the school. The evening sun was setting, making the school grow darker by the minute. The police gesture for them to stop, two of them bending down to check the pulse on the body in front of them.
“He’s alive.” they whisper, pulling him off into an alcove of the hall.
“That’s Hudson.” Hyunjin notices.
“Where the hell is y/n then?” Minho eyebrows furrow in frustration and worry.
The boys shake Hudson awake when suddenly shots are fired. They all hunch down, hiding behind a wall. The police take cover, exchanging bullets with Reed’s men. Minho shakes Hudson impatiently, urging him to wake up. Finally, he begins to stir, blinking up at them.
“What happened?” he groans.
“Where’s y/n?” Chan asks during a pause in gunfire.
“Upstairs. Security office.” Hudson rasps as he closes his eyes.
“I’ll go get her.” Seungmin offers.
“Where’s Changbin?” Chan asks.
“I don’t know. We were looking...” Hudson winces, bringing a hand to his head as he sits up. “But Reed found us first…”
“I’ll stay with this idiot. Make sure he doesn’t pull anything.” Minho rolls his eyes.
Chan nods.
They break off in their pairings, continuing down the hall. The police had moved farther in, a few of them dead on the floor as the boys passed by. As the police continue down the halls, the boys pause behind a wall. With no one in sight, Seungmin heads for the stairs, followed by Jisung and Jeongin.
As they ran, shots started firing. Flinching, they hurried to the stairs as the remaining boys fired back. Jeongin and Jisung hurried down the stairs, drawing their weapons as they reached the bottom. Seungmin slowly went up the stairs, catching sight of the two men shooting over the balcony. Quickly, he draws his weapon, aiming and shooting. He manages to take them both down, then continues up the last few steps.
He proceeds further down the hall, searching for the security office as the boys below move forward. He comes to three hallways and goes with the middle one. Upon entering the hall, he notices a sign on the wall reading Security Office. He reaches for the door and pulls but it doesn’t open. He groans, punching the door. It was an industrial looking door and he knew it was probably part of the lockdown that partitioned some of the school.
He notices a keypad and wonders if there was a way to override it.
Where’s Jisung when I need him? He thought.
Looking back at the men bleeding out on the floor, he hurries over to them. He searches both their bodies, finding a keycard on the second one. It’s worth a shot so he snatches it off the body and rushes back over, swiping the keycard on the keypad.
With a double beep, a light blinks green and the door opens. Seungmin smiles and opens the door cautiously. He draws his weapon immediately, only to holster it when he finds you on the floor. His heart drops.
“Y/n?” Seungmin says, coming into the room.
The door closes behind him.
Blinking to clear your vision, you sit up. “Minnie?”
“Hey baby. It’s me.” He says.
He pulls you up from the floor and hugs you tightly. You wince at the pain in your head and Seungmin looks it over, judging the severity. You were definitely concussed for one.
“Is everyone else here? How did you get in here?” you ask, looking around. How long have you been out?
“Everyone’s here. Let’s get out of here.”
Seungmin then noticed the computer screens, walking over to take them all in.
“What?” you ask, standing next to him.
“Trying to find the best exit.” He studies the screens before pointing. “There. We can get out that way.”
“She’s mine. Not yours to take.” Reed interrupts, coming back into the room.
Spinning around, Seungmin reaches for his gun and lifts it. Reed is too quick and knocks it from his hand before he can shoot. Then Reed throws a few punches, landing one to Seungmin’s jaw and another to his ribs. Seungmin landed one to Reed’s face before he was knocked out by the butt of Reed’s glock.
“Seungmin!” you scream, hurrying over to where he fell.
Tears fell from your eyes as you caressed his face. Fury was coursing through you. How dare he do this…
You turn, standing quickly and punching him in the face. It hurt your hand more than it hurt him, his face unmoving as the pain shot through your hand. You clenched your jaw, breathing through the throbbing.
“Don’t piss me off.”
“Fuck you!” You spit at his shoes and he glares.
Pushing you aside, he moves towards the screens pressing a button and speaking into a microphone.
“Oh Christopher,” he taunts Chan.
You notice the other boys stopped walking and looked around. You could hear Reed’s voice echo from the intercoms in the halls as he spoke.
“I have three of your people now. I wonder if I’ll be able to collect them all before the night ends? What do you think?” Reed chuckles. “Or…if you want your precious omega back unharmed…meet me in the cafeteria.”
He turns back to you as you shake with anger and hatred.
“You so much as touch him and I swear by the gods I’ll-” you grit through clenched teeth.
“You’ll what?” He cuts you off. “Do you forget how small and fragile you are? I could snap you like a twig if I wanted to.”
He was in your face, his hot breath felt on your forehead as you glared up at him.
“Exactly. Enjoy the show, sis. You have the front row.” He says, gesturing to the screens.
He turns on his heel and slips out the door. You rush over, hearing the same click as before. You groan, turning back to Seungmin. You go and sit beside him, placing his head in your lap. Looking up to the screens, you notice your pack has split up into groups, now divided by the lockdown. In one screen, you notice four men sneak up on two of your soulmates, beating them as a fight breaks out. You groan, running your fingers through your hair - you couldn’t bear to watch. How the hell were you going to get out of here?
You notice a broken wire hanging down from the table. Following it, you realize it was connected to the mic. How? When was it even severed?
Tears pooled in your eyes as you caressed Seungmin’s peaceful face, a few falling into his hair.
“Please wake up soon.” you whisper.
Chan and Felix were making their way down a hall and locating the cafeteria. When they finally find it, they hide out in a room across the hall.
“Okay, what’s the plan?” Felix asks.
“We have to be smart. I know he’s baiting me.”
“You don’t think she’s in there?”
“No way. She’s probably where Hudson said she was. Or he’s moved her.”
“He already has three of our people.” Felix chews on his lower lip.
“I know. We need to locate them. But right now, we go to the cafeteria and confront him. Give him five minutes and then duck out. If I tell you to run, you run. No matter what. Understood?”
Felix nods, a pout to his lips.
They cross the hall, entering the cafeteria. At the other end, they see a man tied up to a chair, head hanging.
“Is that Binnie?” Felix whispers.
“I think so. Approach slowly.” Chan guides.
The two of them walk forward, slowly and cautiously between the tables. Their guns were drawn, scanning the open space for any movement. Once close enough, he finally lifts his head and looks to them. The boys exhale in relief seeing Changbin and move a bit faster as he groans impatiently through the fabric gag tied onto him.
Felix pulls it down as Chan cuts the ropes.
“You okay?” Felix asks.
Changbin nods. “Y/n?”
“She’s here somewhere. We haven’t found her.” Chan informs.
“He also has Seungmin who went to find her.” Felix adds.
Changbin stands, stretching his arms out and rubbing his wrists.
Behind them, a door creaks open. They all turn to see two shadows approaching from the far east corner. The sound of gunfire echoes in the room and they all drop down. Changbin and Chan flip one of the tables, hiding behind it. They grab their guns, Felix handing his extra to Changbin.
They lean up, shooting towards the men who have also taken cover behind a table. Chan clenches his jaw. He knew you weren’t going to be in here, but he should have figured Reed would be too cowardice to show his face.
“We gotta get out of here.” Felix whispers.
“We won’t make it to the exit.” Changbin shakes his head.
Chan leans over and shoots more at the men. He manages a shot to the head and one of the men goes down. “Got one.”
Felix leans up, shooting at the man who runs across the cafeteria to hide behind a wall closer to them. He misses, ducking back down.
More shots ring out around them as the man shoots.
“Ahh.” Felix’s eyes go wide as he clutches his shoulder.
Blood begins to seep through his shirt, dripping down his hand as his eyes go wide. Another spot in his shirt forms at his waist. He looks up at them and Changbin drags him back by his legs so he is away from the edge of the table.
The shooter had better access from his new angle and Felix had been in his line of fire. Chan stands up, shooting towards the wall with a vengeance. He hears a grunt and sees the man fall forward. He shoots a few more shots, blood pouring from the shooter’s body.
“He’s down.” Chan announces. “We’re clear.”
Changbin is applying pressure to Felix’s wounds as he leans against the table.
“Two shots. I don’t see exit wounds.” Changbin clenches his jaw.
Felix pants, wincing. “I th-think…the b-bullets are s-silver…” Felix manages, squinting his eyes.
“You sure?”
“Feels…like it.” Felix grimaces.
Changbin and Chan exchange glances.
“We need to get them out.” Chan says.
“We n-need to find th-the others. W-we don’t have t-time.” Felix manages to argue.
More gunfire rings out and they duck behind the table. A stray bullet manages to penetrate the table, flying through it and going into Changbin’s side. He grunts in pain, catching himself from falling over. He grabs his side, looking down.
“Dammit. This table isn’t going to last much longer.” Chan says, leaning up to shoot at the shooter.
As the shooter ducks behind a table, Chan notices Hyunjin coming into the cafeteria. He draws his gun and shoots at the unsuspecting man.
“He’s down.” Hyunjin calls out.
“Thanks. Get over here.” Chan says.
Hyunjin comes over, gasping at the two bleeding out. “What the hell?”
“Silver bullets. We need to get them out.”
“What happened to you?” Changbin asks Hyunjin.
Hyunjin had a busted lip and the makings of a black eye, his knuckles also roughed up.
“Little boxing match. What about you?” he said nonchalantly.
“Just took a bullet.” Changbin shrugged, wincing.
“Go find y/n.” Felix insists.
“These tables aren’t going to block.” Chan said, ignoring Felix. “We need to move them somewhere safer to remove the bullets.”
“I’m alright. I can go find y/n.” Changbin says, standing and grabbing at his side.
The blood dripping across his fingers did not go unnoticed.
“You’re out of your mind if you think I’m going to send you looking for her.” Chan says.
“Come here.” Hyunjin wraps one of Changbin’s arms around his shoulders, taking some of his weight so they can move.
Chan scoops Felix up even though he was trying to stand. They hurry out of the cafeteria, Hyunjin’s gun drawn. He aims it straight ahead as he walks, eyeing the hallways for any of Reed’s men. They make their way through the hallway and find an empty classroom. They bring the boys in there, Chan laying Felix on a table.
Felix moves to sit up, but Chan lowers him.
“You need to get these out.” Chan insists. “Hyunjin, tend to them. I’m going to go find this son of a bitch.”
“On your own?” Hyunjin questions.
“I need you to help them. I’ll handle Reed.”
With that, Chan leaves the classroom and Hyunjin barricades the door. Changbin insists Hyunjin tended to Felix first, attempting to help remove the bullets despite his condition.
In the basement, Jeongin and Jisung had gone through all the rooms and found it to be empty. There was no one even down here.
“Welp, no one is tied up down here.” Jisung announces obviously.
“No and it gives me the creeps. Can we go back up now?” Jeongin pleads.
“I guess. Let’s go join all the commotion.” Jisung says with a sigh.
They ascended the stairs, weapons drawn and moving with caution. So far, the coast was clear. Moving past the opening of the cafeteria, Jeongin grabs Jisung’s arm.
“What?” he whispers.
“There’s two bodies in here.”
Jisung swallows, praying they aren’t any of the boys.
They walk in, Jisung checking one while Jeongin checks the other.
“We’re good.” Jisung calls from one body.
Jeongin relaxes his shoulders and shakes his head, confirming the second body was also not one of their mates. They leave the cafeteria and walk down the hallway. It was quiet but they heard chatter and groaning coming from one of the rooms. They look at each other, listening in on the conversation.
“Is that Changbin?” Jeongin whisper-yells.
Jisung goes to the door and tries to open it. He knocks, making the boys inside jump.
“It’s Jisung,” he calls out.
Jisung listened and heard the grunt and scrapes of furniture moving. Then the door opened a crack before Hyunjin pulled it all the way. Jisung noticed the blood on his gloved hands as he entered.
“Oh my god….what happened?” he asked, only to see Felix lying on the table.
Changbin was hunched over him, his skin pale and covered in sweat.
“Silver bullets. We are trying to remove them.” Hyunjin says, hurrying back over to Felix.
Felix’s eyes were starting to glaze over, his skin pale as well.
“Hold him down, he’s squirming too much and I can’t get a grip.” Hyunjin said.
Jeongin moved over to hold Felix down.
“I’ll help Changbin.” Jisung said, grabbing the box of gloves Hyunjin had found in a closet and putting them on.
Hyunjin stuck his fingers back into Felix’s wound, reaching for the bullet. Felix whined, squirming in pain. Jeongin held him still as best he could, Hyunjin apologizing as he finally grabbed onto the bullet.
Changbin laid down on the table, breathing heavily. Jisung attempted to reach into the wound and extract the bullet, but Changbin groaned loudly and squirmed. Jisung winced, not wanting to hurt him further. Sighing, he climbed onto the table, laying on Changbin in efforts to keep him still. He placed his hands inside once more, feeling for the bullet.
After hearing the taunt from Reed on the intercom, Minho snatched Hudson up.
“Dammit. Take me to the Security office.”
“If he’s on the intercom, he’s in the office.” Hudson said.
“Perfect. I can kill him.” Minho pushes him forward. “Move.”
They began walking down the hall, Minho’s gun drawn as he used Hudson for a shield. They make it to the end of the hall and Minho looks around the corner in both directions as he holds Hudson close. The coast was clear so Minho pushed him on.
“I didn’t mean for your house to blow up.” Hudson whispers.
“Shut it.” Minho growls.
“I knew he had something planned…I just didn’t know it would have been that bad. I should have said something.” Hudson continued as they began walking upstairs.
“Well like that night, keep your mouth shut.” Minho grits through his teeth.
“I just want me and y/n to be a family. I never wanted her to get hurt.”
At the landing halfway up the staircase, Minho snatches Hudson around and puts his gun to the beta’s head.
“Do you think I honestly give a damn what you want? You crossed us and put her in harm’s way.” Minho’s voice is laced with venom. “It’s taking everything in me not to put a bullet through your skull.”
He pushes the gun harder to Hudson’s hair, making him whimper.
“Show me where the office is.” Minho demands, turning Hudson back around.
Hudson moved forward without another word. They walked across the balcony area, stepping over the two dead bodies and going to the middle hallway. Hudson gestured to the door on the right and Minho pushed him aside. He pulled on the door but it didn’t open.
“How do I open it?”
“I don’t know. I’m not part of his inside crew anymore.” Hudson shrugged.
Minho huffed, looking around. He saw a fire extinguisher on the wall and went over to it. He broke open the glass and pulled it out, gunfire echoing in the distance. He came over and knocked the keypad off the wall, wires crackling as the electricity still flowed.
He pulled on the door and it groaned.
“Get over here and help me.” Minho demanded.
The two of them pulled, the door starting to give way. Some security this door truly was…
After several minutes of pulling on the door, it finally gives and swings open. You nearly fall forward, having been pushing from your end.
“Y/n? You okay?” Minho said, rushing over and pulling you into a hug. “Oh, Kitten.”
Your body ached a bit and your head was still pounding but you nod. “Seungmin was knocked out with his gun.”
You step to the side and Minho comes in.
“Where’s Reed?”
“He left a few minutes ago. Right after his announcement.” you say.
Minho notices the screens and looks to see a shootout going on in the cafeteria - that explains the gunfire. He also catches the two in the basement, but no sign of Reed.
Where the hell is that bastard? Minho thought.
“There!” you say, pointing to a camera of what looks like an auditorium. There was a stage and foldable chairs in the room, Reed pacing the stage.
“Great. We find the others and go there.” Minho lifts Seungmin up and carries him out.
The four of you descend the stairs, checking each way before heading down the main hallway, past the cafeteria and to the end. As they approach the intersection of two more hallways and an exit door, they hear footsteps. They slow down, Minho places Seungmin on the floor and draws his gun. He holds it out and peeks around the corner. His shoulders drop and he releases the breath he was holding.
“Don’t shoot.” he says, stepping around the corner.
Chan flinches but lowers his gun. “Don’t scare me like that.”
“Sorry.”
“This place gives me the creeps.” Chan complained.
You came around the corner fast, jumping into Chan’s arms.
“Babygirl…fuck I was so worried.” Chan squeezed you tightly, breathing in your scent.
“I’m okay.” You say, caressing his face.
He gives you a quick peck before releasing his hold.
“Reed is in the auditorium. I think it’s out those doors. We need to get the others.” Minho informed.
“How’d you find him?”
“Security office had cameras.”
Chan nods. “Hyunjin’s in the room with Changbin and Felix…the two of them are shot.”
“What?!” you exclaim.
“Silver bullets.” Chan’s jaw clenches.
“Where?” Minho asks.
“In a classroom back down that hall.” Chan points to the hall behind them.
“I swear I’m gonna kill him.” Minho seethes, walking ahead to the exit door.
“Minho…” you say but he’s not hearing it.
He pushes the door but it clanks with the chain around the handles, locking them in. Minho doesn’t let it stop him. He elbows the glass window on the top half of the door and it shatters. Then he removes his jacket and removes all the glass edges before placing it on the bottom part of the window and climbing through.
“Minho, wait!” you call after him.
He doesn’t stop, so you race after him.
“Y/N!” Chan calls after you, grabbing your arm.
“He’s going to get himself killed. Hurry go get the others.” You say, pulling your arm free and hurrying over to the door.
You climb through the window gracefully, landing with a somersault. Chan groans, picking up Seungmin and running down the hall to see if Hyunjin is finished. To his pleasant surprise, he finds the bullets removed and Jisung and Jeongin. Seungmin finally wakes when Jisung splashes water on his face.
Hudson watched Chan run back down the hall, but turned back to see you running after Minho. You were going to need his help more so he followed after you, clumsily making it through the window with a scratch.
Inside the auditorium, Reed was still pacing on the stage. There were some tables behind him, one with a black duffle bag on it while the others had dusty boxes and props. Minho found his way backstage and quietly snuck forward, only revealing himself at the last minute.
“You fucking bastard.” Minho growls, coming from behind the curtain.
He shot at him twice, Reed dodging the bullets and only coming out with a graze on his arm. Minho was out with no more magazines to reload. He threw his gun to the side and marched up to Reed. He landed a punch to Reed’s face, making him stumble. Minho kept coming at him, punching him. Reed punched back, the two of them knocking each other down and rolling around on the stage in a fight for dominance.
You come bursting into the audience section, seeing them on the stage.
“Stop! Minho!” you cry out but he doesn’t hear you.
You run down the aisle, hopping up the three feet onto the stage and coming over. You grab onto Minho’s arm, trying to pull him off while dodging the blows he was giving Reed. Reed managed to flip him over and was throwing punches, only landing a fraction of them.
You push at him with everything in you and you manage to make him stumble. Minho takes advantage, kicking him off and scrambling to his own feet. You just need to stall long enough for the others to show up.
“Minho, stop!” you say, pulling at his arm.
He doesn’t even acknowledge you, eyes glaring red.
You move to step between them, arms outstretched, a palm on Minho’s chest. Reed stood, wiping the blood from his mouth and eyebrow. Minho spit some blood to the side, murder in his eyes.
“Minho, stop.” you say, looking at him.
He meets your eyes briefly before the sound of a door closing in the audience makes you all look. Before you could realize who it was, Reed snatched you by arm and pulled you into his chest. You grunt and Minho takes a step toward you, stopping when the barrel of a revolver hits your temple.
You shake, eyes closing as you breathe rapidly.
“Make another move and I’ll splatter her brain all over this stage.”
“You won’t.” Minho states.
“No? I have three bullets out of eight slots so her chances aren’t very high.”
Minho clenches his teeth.
Click.
You gasp, body tensing. A blank. It was blank. Wait…he actually pulled the trigger on you. You exhale with a shaky breath, sweat beading on your forehead.
“Or maybe I should just shoot you and escape while I can.” Reed says, aiming the gun at Minho.
“No!” you rasp.
“Shut up, bitch.” he jerks your body, pressing the barrel back to your head.
You squeeze your eyes shut again and he aims at Minho. “Think you will get as lucky as she does?”
Minho doesn’t move, staring him down.
Bang.
You gasp, the sound of the shot ringing in your ears as you shake.
It wasn’t a blank. He shot at Minho and it wasn’t a blank. Your mind races in panic.
You couldn’t bring yourself to open your eyes - You couldn’t see him shot. Your heart ached in your chest and you felt like you couldn’t breathe.
Reed sighed. “Hudson, Hudson, Hudson…I should have left you to that fragile little couple and let you live your days as a goat farmer. Think of all the pennies you could have made.”
Confused, you will yourself to open your eyes. Minho and Hudson were on the floor, no blood in sight. You pant, realizing Hudson must have knocked him out of the way.
“Better than being your brother.” Hudson said, standing.
“Think you can beat the odds twice?” Reed aims his gun at Hudson.
Minho stands, dusting himself off.
“Let her go.” It was Chan.
You turn to see everyone coming into the auditorium. Changbin and Felix were walking slowly, Felix being supported by Jisung.
“You won’t make it out of this alive. All your men are dead.” Chan continued.
Reed places the gun to your head. “Take another step and we can test her odds again.”
They all stop. Changbin keeps his arm raised, aiming at Reed.
“You shoot her, I shoot you.” Changbin states, standing as firmly as he can.
“You don’t look so good, maybe you should lay down.” Reed says.
“I’m well enough to kill you.”
Hudson steps forward, Reed aiming the gun at him.
“I don’t have a clear shot.” Changbin whispers to Chan.
“Shoot me.” Chan says to Reed.
“No!” you squirm.
“Shut up.” Reed presses the gun to your head.
“I know you want to. Or we can settle this like alphas.” Chan offered.
“No. I’m good.” Reed smiled.
With the gun aimed at Chan, Reed pulled the trigger.
Click.
Changbin shoots in retaliation, the bullet whooshing past Reed’s ear.
Reed laughs. “I’m enjoying this little game.”
The barrel of the gun is back at your temple and you shake, sweat and tears dripping down your face.
“Reed, don’t.” Hudson pleaded.
Reed looked at Hudson, squinting his eyes.
Click.
You gasp, trembling in his hold.
Chan’s mouth parted as he sucked in air. The tease was too much and they needed an advantage…fast. He was too trigger happy for their sanity and they needed to separate the two of you.
“Reed..let her go and I’ll let you walk out of here. All the cops we came with were killed by your men. You can still escape.”
“You think I’m going to go through all this and not take my sister with me?”
“It’s your best option. Escape or death.”
“You let us walk out of here, and I’ll let you all have regular phone calls to keep in touch.”
“No deal.” Chan purses his lips.
“I tried.” Reed says, aiming the gun at Chan once more.
Bang, Bang.
You gasp, squirming in his grip as Chan stumbles backwards. Chan falls to the floor, blood pooling around him.
“No!” you say, bucking and thrashing in his hold.
“Let’s go.” he whispers in your ear, guiding you backwards while everyone focuses on Chan.
Jeongin notices and draws his weapon, aiming for Reed. Reed tosses his gun aside and shields himself behind you. He was bigger than you but no kill shot could be made with you in front of him without risking you getting hit. But Reed underestimated the maknae.
Jeongin kept a steady arm, eyeing Reed carefully.
“Don’t hit your precious soulmate.” Reed taunts.
Bang.
You yelp, jumping.
The hold around you loosened as Reed stumbled backwards. He looks stunned, his shoulder aching. You scramble from his hold, turning to see him look down at his hand. His shoulder was hit - mere millimeters from where your own was.
“Cobalt bullet. We learned a few things thanks to your mismanagement.” Jeongin said, climbing onto the stage.
He handed you the gun. “Wanna do the honors?”
“That’s not me.” you shake your head.
Now that the opportunity was there for you to take, you weren’t going to become that person, no matter what you had been through. Killing was not your thing - you had been close to it enough for a lifetime.
Hudson steps forward. “May I?”
“That was my only cobalt. The rest are silver.” Jeongin says, offering him the gun.
Hudson moves closer to Reed, kicking him to knock him over. You walk over to check on Chan, not wanting to witness this.
“This is for our parents and Aiden.” you hear Hudson say before pulling the trigger.
Bang. Bang. Bang.
Reed’s body goes lax, expelling his last breath as his head falls to the side and blood drips from the hole between his eyes.
Felix is applying pressure to Chan’s wound when you come over.
“Is he okay?” you ask.
“Bullets were through and through. He just needs some antibodies to fight the silver. He’ll be fine.” Felix informed. “Doctor Quinn is on her way.”
“What about you?” you look between Felix and Changbin.
“I’ll need more antibodies, but I should be fine. Changbin too.” Felix smiles.
You kiss his cheek, leaning over and kissing Chan as well.
Sirens rang out in the distance and you knew the police backup was finally arriving. They would clean up the bodies and close the case finally. Doctor Quinn would fix everyone up, and you all could go home. No more running and hiding. And certainly no more murderous alphas trying to keep you from your pack.

not responding to this post directly bc I’m not looking for a fight or anything. but did we watch the same movie. what is this guy talking about. sure, at that point Galinda and Elphaba are friends, but also the only interactions we’ve seen with Galinda and Dillamond have been Galinda doing microaggressions against him. she is very obviously not an ally to the animals. and she cares so much about her image, which would be tarnished if this went wrong. Elphaba therefore has no reason to think that Galinda will help her with something illegal and risky, when the chips are down. (and she’s ultimately proven right, when Glinda chooses to stay in the Emerald City during Defying Gravity.)
but Fiyero? Elphaba met Fiyero while he was riding a Horse, who she witnesses him speak to with respect. Fiyero even says “we didn’t see you there” which I love. as much as I miss “maybe he saw green and thought it meant go” I do love how they set Fiyero up right away as being an animal sympathizer. and she knows he doesn’t care much for rules or legality, either. it makes complete sense to choose Fiyero in that situation over Galinda.
but I hear you say, Elphaba doesn’t consciously choose him. that’s why she doesn’t answer when he asks “why was I the only one you didn’t do it to?” she doesn’t have any answer. it was a subconscious manifestation of her feelings for him. why couldn’t it have been that about Galinda, regardless if she was the logical choice? shouldn’t Elphie’s emotional attachment to Galinda be stronger?
and I mean. she’s been friends with them both for the same amount of time. she knows them both and cares about them both. and she knows that she can trust him, that he’ll help her, without hesitation. just as she knows that Galinda would hesitate, even if deep down she wanted to help.
and I think part of it is that on some level Fiyero chooses not to fall asleep. everyone else in Oz, including Galinda, is content in their complacency, but Fiyero is not. that’s the point of Elphaba saying he’s not as shallow as he pretends to be, or else he wouldn’t be so unhappy. Fiyero is dancing through life, hollow and lonely, pretending not to care, just waiting for someone like Elphaba to come around and, well. wake him up.
Galinda isn’t there yet. Glinda doesn’t get there until the end of the musical, when she’s lost the two people she loves because of her choices. That’s when she finally wakes up to the emptiness of her life.
and, ultimately, the lion cub scene is build up to Glinda choosing to stay in the Emerald City because she can’t give up her proximity to power, and Fiyero giving it all up and choosing Elphaba. Fiyero makes choices and sacrifices that Glinda never could, he stays awake while she falls asleep. he ends up with Elphaba, and Glinda ends up alone. they’re narrative foils. that’s the point.
#ugh this is so long and idk if it even makes sense#I’m just irked#wicked#fiyeraba#reblogs OFF for this one folks

𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐒𝐒 ─ g.r.
pairing(s): glenn rhee x reader
summary: deanna’s son tries to kiss you but glenn steps in.
word count: 1326
warning/tags: established relationship, aiden tw, harassment ( aiden tries to kiss you but glenn stops it from going there )
abraham’s knocks against the thick glass of the grocery store sets the hairs upon your neck to stand as you await amongst the group for any lurking walkers to emerge from the building. two of the dead bump against shelves on their way to the source of the noise.
you watch as glenn and rick kill one each before everyone instinctively waits for a few more moments for any strays before following rick’s nod into the abandoned store. tara closes the door behind you as rick turns to everyone, “we’ll scatter and grab what we need, meet back here once you’re done.”
glenn turns around, like a magnet his hand reaches out to squeeze yours, there’s a small smile sent your way and you lean up to kiss his cheek before departing like the rest of the group in search for anything good to take for alexandria’s growing supply.
you’re unsure how much times goes by; minutes pass of you aimlessly swiping cans of preserved fruit and vegetables into your accommodating cart and all you can hear around is the clanking of food and drinks across the supermarket.
hope fills you at the sight of the chocolate aisle, layered with all different types of chocolate brands and flavours and you desperately push your cart to begin checking dates in faith to please people back home.
while tipping a few packets into the trolley, you jump to the sound of footsteps behind you and take your knife from your pocket to aim behind you. aiden, deanna’s son, lifts his hands in an act of innocence while wearing a smirk upon his lips.
you sigh in relief, storing your knife back before turning to your previous activity. when you lift another packet of chocolate chips, searching for a date of expiry, aiden’s arm slides into your vision. he slides against the metal of the shelf, his stomach against your hip.
without flinching, you glance at him from your distracted position before stepping away to create an appropriate distance. aiden, with no self-awareness, only slides to accommodate the gap once more, the material of his top brushing against your arm.
“i was wondering if we could have a talk, now that i finally have a moment alone with you,” you are already wincing at the man’s tone and words, having an incline of what he means. you step back again, facing him with a grimace as your lower back bumps the carts handles.
his head tilts, wearing a sarcastic pout before he replies, “don’t hurt my feelings, now. looking at me with your pretty eyes like that.” you shake your head, not giving him the satisfaction of a reply as you turn your back to him to make your way out of the aisle to find glenn.
however, aiden jogs to stand in front, a hand pressing against the trolley so you can’t move it away. stuck in conversation.
you roll your eyes, “aiden…” trailing off knowingly, and he chuckles, “you talk! thought you had lost the ability!” the leader’s son walks around the cart and towards your frame as you watch warily, his hand still grips the metal of the cart to ensure it stays.
his hand raises to reach for your face but you step back, back hitting the shelves in disbelief as you ask, “what are you doing?” he chuckles again, eyes not tearing from your face and your heart drops when you realise he’s making a move on you.
aiden’s face is daringly close to yours that you can smell the peppermint of his breath, your expression of unwantedness apparent and unable to hide. “c’mon, we both know you want me. i could treat you so much better than glenn could, if you let me.”
your shaking your head at every word that escapes the man’s throat, your own throat closed and holding you back from screaming for someone to see what’s happening, your voice only wavering in a short reply, “no. no, i’m with glenn. i don’t-”
he laughs again, quiet but sending chills down your spine, “stop acting like you don’t.” aiden’s hand reaches up again in an attempt to touch your cheek, you try to pull your head back but it only presses more into the shelf. his hand cups your jaw and you push his chest in attempts to move him. however, he only leans in closer to your face, but before anything else happens, he’s off you in a flash.
you watch as glenn pushes him off you and against the shelf you were previously stuck to, now standing in the middle of the aisle shaking, “what the fuck, man? what are you doing?”
his forearm presses against the collarbones belonging to aiden, keeping him pressed against the metal and shoves him harder when the man doesn’t reply, “what? suddenly you don’t want to talk?”
aiden raises his hands again in faux innocence just when several of the group come jogging towards the noise, daryl’s fists holding his knifes and rick has one hand on the holster attached to his hip, “glenn! what’s going on?”.
you don’t realise you’re shaking until daryl’s now free hand squeezes your shoulder and you instinctively take a step back to rest against the man’s side as he keeps you close while glenn replies, “sick fuck just tried to make a move on y/n!”
rick slowly turns from the two men and towards you, eyes dazed and angry, “did he touch you?” you could feel everyone’s eyes on you as you shake your head, “only touched my cheek, he tried to kiss me though.”
“i walked over and saw him pressing y/n against the shelf while she’s trying to push him off!” glenn spits and you’re sure you’ve never seen him this upset, daryl suddenly jumps from your side in a lunge towards aiden who laughs, rick holding him back when there’s a flurry of shouting between all the men.
“alright! aaron and eric, take aiden outside. we’ll gather the stuff and head back to alexandria where we’ll talk to deanna about what happened…” rick trails off harshly, glaring in aiden’s direction.
glenn looks to aaron who steps towards then, willing him to let aiden go so he can move him away from the situation but glenn only looks to rick angrily before his eyes softening when he glances at you.
looking back to aiden, glenn steps back to allow him some room and everyone watches as they watch one another before aiden suddenly raises his hand to punch glenn. dodging the punch, your boyfriend retaliates twice before daryl shoves aiden off, rick holding glenn back.
“enough! go wait outside,” rick shouts at aiden, before nodding to aaron and eric, “don’t let him near y/n.” at the mention of your name, glenn turns around towards you once more, walking over to hold the side of your face.
he looks over your expression, checking if you’re alright and when you nod he kisses your forehead before wrapping you in a hug, one hand holding the back of your head while the other tugs the cart closer when everyone makes their way to their previous spots, ready to leave.
“i’m sorry i wasn’t there,” glenn murmurs against your hairline, pressing pecks soothingly across it after he talks. your hands smooth over his t-shirt, shaking your head against his hold, “it’s not you that should be apologising.”
“he’s never going near you again,” your boyfriend mutters, pulling back to look at you properly, he still looks annoyed, his aching and already bruising knuckles grazing your cheek so gently as if you may break beneath the touch.
instead of replying, you lean up to capture his lips in a soft kiss which he retaliates immediately. you knew it wasn’t over, going back to alexandria to deal with telling deanna and then seeing what happens next. but you weren’t worried, not when glenn was there to always save the day.

You wake up from a nap that went on a little too long, only to see that Toji still isn't next to you in bed. It's dark already, and when you check the time on your phone, the screen reads 10:14. You see light underneath the bedroom door and get up, dragging the blanket along with you. When you open the door, there Toji is, sitting on the couch, watching TV with his hand in a bag of chips. You peek at him from the hallway entryway and watch as he puts another chip in his mouth.
"Hi," Toji says, not the slightest bit oblivious to your eyes on him. His gaze shifts to you and the big, puffy blanket you have draped around you. "How'd you sleep?"
You don't answer, but instead start making your way towards him, the blanket tailing behind you as it drags on the floor. Five more steps and you're right in front of him. Without a second thought, you're climbing onto his lap and making yourself comfortable. Your big blanket covers him, as well as his bag of chips, now, too.
"Still tired, mama?" Toji asks, when you bury your face in the crook of his neck. You grunt, affirmatively, in response, tightening your arms around him. "That's how you answer, now?" He asks, chuckling when you grunt, again. "I'm rubbing off on you. You sound like a bear."
"Why didn't you come sleep with me?" You ask, your voice quiet from being underused.
"I went into the room to check on you and you were knocked out. Even got some cute pictures of you drooling, and you still didn't wake up."
You whine, annoyed at this revelation. "Not cute at all. It's like you don't even love me," you mumble, turning your face away from him, your cheek now positioned on his shoulder.
"Love you enough to keep an album full of these pictures."
"What? Toji." You briefly turn your attention back to him.
"There's eighty in there. Well, eighty-three, with the ones I got today."
You sigh, dramatically, and rest your cheek on his shoulder, again. "I have nothing more to say to you. Goodnight."
You can hear the smirk on Toji's face when he says, "'Night."
In the short amount of time that you slept on Toji, he was witness to yet another one of your dreams. He's been around for plenty of them. Some were nightmares, others just random dreams that made you jolt awake with a jump scare. He's even been around for the good ones that cause breathy renditions of his name to spill from your lips. This one was just weird.
Toji felt you stirring and watched as you nuzzled into his shoulder. He listened in on your nonsensical thoughts and grinned, amusedly, at the randomness. You sounded worried as you mumbled things about your eyes and how you wanted to keep them, and then something else about changing your mind and not being ready. He had no time to wonder what you weren't ready for, because you woke up and you looked scared.
You sit up on Toji's lap and blink a few times as you look around. "Toji, do my... my eyes?" You question, not finding offense in the way Toji looks like he's trying not to laugh. You're still very much concerned about your eyes.
"What about your eyes, ma?" He asks, his gaze darting after yours as you keep looking around.
"Do my eyes still work?" You ask, still panicking on the inside.
"I don't know. Do they?" he says, only further adding on to your fear. There's a small crease between your eyebrows, making you look conflicted. Your expression goes sad when you look away from Toji.
"Ma, wake up," Toji says, pinching your cheek a few times, while wearing a teasing grin on his face. "Look, if you're actually scared, we can check." You really need that confirmation, so you give Toji your full attention. "What's this?" He asks, tapping the scar that strikes his lips.
"Your handsome, sexy, all you can eat, full course meal of a scar," you mumble.
Toji deadpans and tilts his head, furthering his unamused expression. "Your eyes are fine."
"Test me, again. Pleaaaase?" You beg, giving him a soft smile and puppy eyes.
He sighs and gives in, no fight put up against you, whatsoever. "What color are my eyes?"
You hum as you lean in to examine the subject more closely before coming to your conclusion. "The most handsome bobansome, beautiful, crispy green apple, shade of green."
Toji scoffs and shakes his head in disbelief. "See? Your eyes are fine. On that note, you're banned from sleeping on me."
You gasp, dramatically, as if he offended you. "Aren't you the one always manhandling me so that i'm sleeping on top of you? And during our afternoon naps, you put my leg over your hip. And when I try to get up, you--"
"Okay, you're not banned. Jeez." You outsmarted him and it shows through the way he subtly clenches his jaw. "If you like sleeping on me that much, just say so."
You narrow your eyes at him, before pushing off of his chest in an attempt to get off of him.
"Whatcha doing?" He asks, holding your hips down so that you can't move.
"Going back to the room," you say, trying to peel his hands off of you, to no avail. "I would like to sleep on our bed, now, Toji."
"Then, tell me that and I'll take you. What are you doing pawing at my hands, trying to get them off of you?" He takes one look at the involuntary lift of your lips and already knows what's going on. "Oh..." he chuckles. "You a grumpy little bear, now?"
"Don't talk to me," you grumble, huffing childishly and turning your attention away from him.
"Aren't you the one always calling, saying you just wanted to hear my voice while i'm working? And you get goosebumps all over when I talk directly into your ear. And when I don't--"
"Stooop," you whine, leaning forward and burying your face in the crook of his neck, again. Your arms wrap around his neck and your thighs squeeze his waist. "You're not fair," you mumble, into his warm skin.
"Yeah, i'm so cruel to you, huh, baby?" He says, pressing a kiss to your cheek, a soft smile lingering on his lips when you hum out a little "mhm" in response. He moves his bag of chips aside and turns off the TV, before wrapping the blanket around you and tucking the excess away, so that he doesn't trip over it as he walks. With ease, he stands up from the couch and starts towards the bedroom, with his lump of a blanket clinging to him.

diet pepsi.
listen to - diet pepsi by addison rae na jaemin x reader wc - 10k genre - fluff and hotness, shy!reader, flirty!jaemin, suggestive warnings - shirtless jaemin x4, mentions of a "nude" pic, partying/drinking, a makeout session, aloootttt of sensual tension! a/n - HERE IT IS! thank you all so much for the hype over the preview. i hope yall enjoy reading it as much as i enjoyed writing it:) comments and feedback are always appreciated!! i read all of them! update: i still can't move on from that jaemin pic.
Accidentally walking in on your best friend's hot housemate half naked with a towel around his waist in the bathroom was never in your plans. But maybe, it was in his?
“Why do you guys have so much Diet Pepsi in your fridge?” There is a slight cadence of disgust in your voice, judgment for the most part, knowing damn well no one drinks Pepsi – let alone Diet Pepsi.
Mark shuts the fridge door that you’ve left idly open as you rummage through the kitchen cabinets for a snack. “It was a late night purchase. The store ran out of all the good stuff.”
“Now, it’s left taking up space.” You snarl, picking through opened bags of crackers, chips and candy that aren’t sealed properly. “You guys never have good snacks.” Giving up, you make your way upstairs toward the only bathroom in this entire shared house.
“Well, last time I checked, you don’t live here.” Mark hollers from the kitchen, a bit of sass in his statement. “Yet you’re here all the time!”
“You’re overjoyed I’m always here!” Your body leans over the railing of the stairs, calling out to your best friend in an unnecessarily booming voice and a light giggle at the end of your sentence.
Mark doesn’t respond and you’re deep in the hallway in search for the bathroom that is shared between four college men. Although you’re solely Mark’s best friend, the other three guys have welcomed you into their house as they would their own. Honestly speaking, you’re only rambunctiously annoying when you’re just around Mark. His housemates know you as his shy and sweet friend.
It’s hard for you to open up to others, despite these people being equally as close to Mark as you are. There is just not enough common ground for you to relate to them, as nice as they are when you’re at their house.
Jeno is probably the most similar to you, a man of few words and a smile that resembles a kind puppy. He doesn’t contribute much to the conversation, but he is always laughing at their shared jokes and silly antics. Haechan is the most different from you, playful and Mark’s nightmare at times. Lastly, there’s Jaemin, a man who you’ve found yourself stealing glimpses of whenever he is near.
Your heart leaps and twirls at any mention of his name, his whereabouts, him. Though, your crush on Jaemin will never come to light. You only let yourself admire from afar, a man as hot and charming as he is already has an entourage waiting on him. And Mark would never let you live it down that you’re practically drooling over his housemate.
So as you find yourself in front of the bathroom door, you don’t hear the shuffling on the other side. You mindlessly turn the knob and open to reveal Jaemin, shirtless with a towel low around his waist.
He doesn’t even flinch at the sudden exposure, clearly engulfed in taking a mirror picture. Both of his arms hold up his soft pink phone, his biceps flexing at the simple position. His broad, wide shoulders are on display and all you see is his bare silky skin. You’re gawking, anyone can see at a mile away, hungry eyes tracing the outline of his toned chest and chiseled abs.
When he finally acknowledges your presence, a big toothy grin appears on his face. Your name rolls off his tongue excitedly, “you’re right. I am overjoyed you’re here.” His lower register catches you off guard and something inside of you spikes at its rumble.
Jaemin watches as you try to find your words, tripping over your own tongue. He drinks up how your eyes bounce between his face and his bare upper body, lost in his canvas.
“Sorry!” You quickly shut the door, odd that you’re the one embarrassed when he is the one who got walked in on. Running down the stairs, you slam right into Mark, causing him to fall back onto the couch.
“Whoa! Are you in a rush or something?” Mark groans. His eyes fixate on your flustered expression. “What happened?”
You’re deciding whether or not you should lie to him, committed to not exposing and embarrassing yourself even further. “Just bumped into Jaemin. Does he normally not lock the bathroom door?”
There is a small quiver in your voice, but you try your best to remain nonchalant and calm. Mark raises a curious eyebrow, a shaky grin grows on his lips. You can’t even imagine all the wild and inappropriate thoughts spinning in this college boy’s head.
“That’s weird. He’s usually good about that stuff.” He snickers, “What did you see?”
“Get your head out of the gutter.” You lightly slap the back of his head, but feel heat spread across the tips of your ears and run its way down to your cheeks. “I didn’t see anything.”
“Bummer, bet you wanted to.” Mark jokes, a fit of giggles erupting from his stomach.
You roll your eyes and proclaim loudly, “I have no interest in Jaemin.” Liar. The image of his hot body still hasn’t left your mind. It’s catastrophic. Crossing your arms, you plop onto the sofa next to your best friend.
Right on cue, another voice chimes in. Coming down the stairs, Jaemin dances his hand on the railing. His muscular arms catches your immediate attention as he flaunts around in a tight white tank, his other hand in the pocket of his gray sweats. “Damn, that really hurts my ego, (y/n), especially after you’ve seen me naked just now.”
Nonetheless, he doesn’t look offended. Instead, a sweet smirk curves upward on his perfect face. You swallow hard, bashful and ashamed yet again that Jaemin continues to ruin you.
Mark is laughing his hardest, but you don’t hear him. Your heart pounds in your ears, rapidly and loudly. “You weren’t naked, Jaem. Don’t give Mark any ideas.”
Jaemin chuckles, tucking in his chin shyly. His charming smile is subtle, but dazzling. You’re absolutely positive you have tiny stars swimming in your eyes just looking at him. He makes his way past you two, toward the kitchen to grab a Diet Pepsi out of the fridge.
“I’m sorry, I’ll remember to lock the door next time.” He apologizes, taking a sip of his drink and grimacing at the taste.
“What were you even doing in there?” Leave it to Mark to be such a curious cat. You nudge him in the rib and he winces noisily. “I want to know what you saw! You guys are acting so suspicious.” He sends a glare at you.
Jaemin comes up behind the couch. He leans over, handing Mark his phone. On display is the picture you witnessed Jaemin take a few minutes ago and the frontal view is even better than what you saw from the side. Your sharp intake of breath doesn’t go unnoticed by Jaemin, but he doesn’t call it out.
The picture could be considered a nude, even if it cuts right at his waistline. It’s so scandalous and he doesn’t seem the slightest sheepish about it. If anything, he and Mark are grinning together at Jaemin’s godly body, like two bros appreciating each other’s muscles.
“Yo, Na Jaemin! This is so crazy, look at that chest work.” Mark giddily hits at Jaemin’s chest, displaying a weird manly affection for his housemate. “All those hours at the gym are paying off. Are you posting this?”
Jaemin shakes his head. “It’s only meant for special eyes.” He glimpses briefly over at you, but you avert contact quickly. You think about all the people the boys talk about during their drunk kickbacks, but Jaemin is incredibly secretive. I don’t kiss and tell, is what he always says when the guys try to probe him with investigative questions.
You normally try to pretend like it doesn’t bother you, always helping him by telling the boys to mind their own business. Nonetheless, you’re probably the only person in the room who wants to know the most about his endeavors.
“This is a nude?!” Mark jumps up and throws the phone back at Jaemin, rubbing his eyes in hopes to rid the picture out of his memory. “I love you dude, but I’m not sure if I want to know you’re posing for nudes in our bathroom.”
Jaemin laughs, “C’mon, Mark. You don’t have to have such a big reaction, just say you want me to send it to you too.” Mark shakes his head aggressively and you’re suffocating at the thought that you walked in on Jaemin taking a nude. A swirl of nasty thoughts circle your mind and you gulp at the desires that fill your lungs.
You get up so suddenly that Jaemin and Mark fall silent and wait for your next move. “I’m going home.” You announce, gaze stuck to the ground and fists balled at your side. “I’ll see you later, Mark.”
“Alright, do you need a ride–”
“No, I’ll just walk. I need to take a breather.” Your legs are moving before anyone can follow after you. You didn’t know what came over you, but spending another second in that room with them meant increasing your chances of saying something regrettable.
The cold breeze of the night cools your hot skin and fresh air clears your mind. It is still early in the evening when you check the time, but it is realistically going to take you 30 minutes to walk back home. You didn’t think it through, frankly, but at least your head is clear from all the dirty thoughts about Jaemin.
Though, you wonder how whoever receives his photo would react. Would they combust the same way you did? Would they be left speechless at such a glorious man? Special eyes. It must be nice to have Jaemin interested in you.
When you’re left with your own reflection and about a quarter into your walk, a car pulls up slowly next to you on the curb. Initially, you’re cautious as to the random vehicle approaching you so intently.
However, the driver’s window rolls down and Jaemin calls your name. “It’s dangerous for you to walk. I’ll take you home.”
That annoying, rhythmic sound of your heart starts up again. Normally, Mark is the one who drives you to and back, but even you didn’t think you could stand being in the car with him as he would endlessly tease you about Jaemin.
“That’s alright. I’m almost there-”
Jaemin gets out of the car and walks around to open the passenger door for you, “it wasn’t a polite offer. I’m taking you home.” His stern tone causes you to comply and enter his car without another attempt to protest.
When he enters the car, the tension in the atmosphere is heavy and thick. He turns off the engine and you can hear the quietness of the night again. You swallow the spit pooling at the back of your throat, unsure how to talk to him. This is the first time you two have been alone together, just you and him in one confined space. You’re usually with Mark when you’re with the other guys.
“I’m actually really sorry, again. I hope you don’t feel weird about seeing me like that.” Your heart crumbles at the genuinity in his apology. Your abrupt leave probably had him thinking he made you feel uncomfortable.
“Jaemin, it’s fine. I already forgot what you looked like and it’s your house. You should feel comfortable doing what you want there.” You’re downplaying all the emotions rising in your throat, but you can’t help feeling guilty at the pout on his glossy lips.
“Mark said that you’re not used to stuff like that. Is that true? Did I make you feel uncomfortable?” Jaemin looks over at you, a hand resting over the wheel.
You look away, his sultry stare being too much for you to handle. “Mark doesn’t know anything about what I’m used to. I don’t talk about that stuff with him.”
It’s the truth. You’ve had your fair share of hook ups, drunk makeout sessions at the club, and a previous relationship. So, you wouldn’t say you’re as innocent as Mark always tries to make you out to be to others. However, you’re not throwing yourself at just anyone and aren’t as open to sharing your experiences to people, Mark being one.
Jaemin nods, acknowledging everything you’re saying. “I noticed you’re usually quiet when all of us talk about our sexual experiences.”
“You are too, though.” You mumble under your breath, twiddling your thumbs.
“I’m too distracted watching how shy you get at the mention of Haechan getting head.” This statement, paired with his deep voice, is glass shattering. Something drops in your stomach, your feelings and thoughts colliding together into something unidentifiable.
Jaemin looks so good under the streetlamp. Even in the darkness, you can still see the twinkle in his alluring gaze and how much charm he exudes with a simple toothy smile. The desire to kiss him is so magnetic, you can feel yourself breaking at any moment.
“You notice me?” Your brain has lost control over the words that spill from your lips. Your lustful and romantic feelings go into overdrive, saying things you’ve never dared to say.
It is his turn to send you a confused look, as if it is the most ridiculous question you could have asked. “Of course I do. It’s hard not to. You… have such an effect on me. I talk about it all the time to Jeno and Haechan.”
This is shocking news to you. You’ve always been under the impression that the other three had no interest or a second thought about you, let alone Jaemin of all people. At the end of the day, you’re just Mark’s best friend and you’re only really there because of him. His housemates are respectful and don’t linger for too long when you’re around, so it never occurred to you that would be a topic in their conversations.
You stutter and approach slowly, “what do you talk about?”
Jaemin chuckles, shaking his head and starts the car. “Can’t tell you. Just know that I like it when you’re around.” He starts driving you home and you can feel the conversation fleeting. But you don’t want to stop, you want to peel him layer by layer until he is at his core.
You two drive for some time in silence. When he approaches your neighborhood, he hits you with one sudden question. “Do you have feelings for Mark?” This is the one of many times he has surprised you tonight.
“No!” You refute excessively. “We’re strictly friends. He is nowhere near my type.” It is a question you get pretty often, given that you two are attached at the hip. Nonetheless, the thought of you and Mark together romantically makes you gag. He is nearly your brother at this point.
Jaemin raises a curious brow, “what is your type?”
He pulls into your driveway and you’re presented with a window of opportunity. You dance with the possibility that Jaemin could actually be yours. After tonight, he definitely confirmed that he notices you.
Jaemin peers over with innocent eyes and a soft smile. His elbow rests on the middle console and his large hands hold the bottom of the steering wheel. And you can’t believe that after all this time, he has been looking at you with such an endearing gaze. Gathering all the courage you have left, you clear your throat.
“Guys like you.” You say, rather breathlessly. You see his pupils dilate and his lips part at the sudden flirtatious confidence. It’s like a lightbulb switches on inside his head. For once, you have left him speechless. “Goodnight, Jaemin. Thank you for bringing me home.”
You exit his car, but he is quick to follow. “What kind of gentleman would I be if I didn’t walk you to your door.” You almost make out the slight shakiness in his voice and you’re giggling at how dazed you’ve gotten him.
Approaching your door, Jaemin turns your cheek to face him. His hand remains hot against your jaw and you think in any second, he might lean down and kiss you. He’d kiss you to the point where you’d turn to goo right at his feet.
Your knees grow weak under his hooded stare, “goodnight (y/n). I’ll let Mark know that I got you back safe and sound.” With that, his hand drops and he starts taking a few steps backwards toward his car. Disappointment is evident in your reaction.
Your shaky hands unlock the front door and you look back to see Jaemin leaning against his car waiting patiently for you to enter. When you get inside, your back slides down against the door, heart beating fast, and you wallow in the emptiness that Jaemin has left you with.
The only noise filling the air is the sound of his car pulling out of the driveway. Then, your phone buzzes in your pocket and the notification causes your jaw to drop.
Na Jaemin (Mark’s Housemate): 1 Attachment
“Holy shit.” Jaemin’s nude flashes back at you and you’re taking everything in. The events earlier today come flooding back into your memory. Lustful desires cause your stomach to stir, tracing the lines of his collarbones and following the protruding vein on his shoulder.
Na Jaemin (Mark’s Housemate): for your special eyes xx
Na Jaemin (Mark’s Housemate): still have no interest in me?
Blinking at the thread of texts, your head is empty and a lump forms in your throat. Na Jaemin, the man that you are.
mark lee-ave me alone: Party tonight, you coming????
mark lee-ave me alone: It’s been like almost two weeks since we hung out, do i need to file a missing person’s report?
you: i’ve got finals
mark lee-ave me alone: you finished finals we literally share calendar schedules… why u avoiding me
you: why are you guys alcoholics
mark lee-ave me alone: sounds good ! see u tn hehe
Tossing your phone onto your bed, you groan into your pillow. It has been a while since you went over, let alone seen Mark. After the moment you had with Jaemin, you aren’t entirely sure if you’re ready to face him again. You had nearly fainted from all the emotions he put you through that day.
He also didn’t reply to your text, but then again, you didn’t give him much to work with. This is Na Jaemin you’re talking to and the last thing you want to do is to scare him away. So, the best response you came up with was the blushing emoji and embarrassment hit you all over again.
Nonetheless, you went back to that photo every night since and its effects remain the same every time. Widened eyes, hot cheeks, butterflies in your lower abdomen, wild thoughts. It has gotten to the point where your phone suggested making it his contact picture, causing the bashfulness to catch up to you.
Your phone buzzes again and you’re rolling over to expect another text from Mark. Instead, your heart rubs at your chest at the appearance of Jaemin’s name on your screen.
Na Jaemin (Mark’s Housemate): can’t wait to see you tn
Mark must’ve told them about you coming to the party. All it takes is one simple text and your feet are kicking in the air. Excitement replaces the dread that you were feeling before and you’re jumping out of bed to find a cute outfit.
When you finally get to the house, a mixture of nervousness and anticipation bubbles inside of you. While you’ve looked forward to seeing Jaemin before, this time is completely different. He unlocked something that you can no longer control.
Mark lets you in, slightly buzzed, and the house is already packed with drunk people. Haechan is on aux as per usual with his perfectly curated party playlist. Jeno has a large bottle in his hand, pouring a line of shots on the kitchen island like a skilled bartender.
You’re unconsciously scanning the room for Jaemin, Mark’s words going in one ear and out the other. “It’s quite a turnout. We didn’t expect so many people would show!”
When you take a quick look around, many are unfamiliar faces. Most of these had to be friends of his housemates, knowing how small Mark keeps his circle.
“What is this party even for?” Yelling over the loud music, you swear there will be ringing in your ears tomorrow morning.
“We’re celebrating the end of the semester!” Mark cheers, excitedly with a big goofy grin. “The guys mostly wanted an excuse to get their friends together and have some fun.”
“That’s surprisingly more wholesome than I thought.” You nod, noting the pretty girls moving their hips in the dark and crowds of guys surrounding the keg. “Very fun.” You say sarcastically and follow Mark through the maze of hot bodies.
The kitchen is unrecognizable. Half empty glass pitchers and plastic cups line the sticky marble counters, they were definitely not getting their rent deposit back with all the tarnish.
It wasn’t your first time at one of their parties, but it had been a long time since they’ve thrown something of this scale. It surprised you, mostly because everyone who lived here seemed so laid back that you didn’t expect the large magnitude that they could draw in.
“Did you want something to drink?” Mark grabs a beer from the fridge, politely squeezing his way through those leaning against the appliances.
You shake your head, “not right now.” He lifts a curious brow at your bottom lip between your teeth. Could he tell you were anxiously waiting for someone?
“So, where have you been lately?” Your mind is extremely overstimulated with everything happening around you, and of course, Mark decides to have an open conversation in the middle of his densely packed kitchen area.
Shrugging, you play it off like everything is normal. “Needed a break from you. You bitched about me coming over all the time, so I chilled out.”
Mark takes a swig, clearly not believing you. “That’s the real reason why? There isn’t anything else regarding someone who lives here?”
He is prying, digging, scheming. You can see it in his smug face when he knows he hit a soft spot. “Do you want to tell me? Because it seems like there’s something going on that you won’t tell me.”
“It’s just interesting.” He shrugs, “Jaemin insisted on going after you the night you walked out. Care to tell me what happened?” Mark giggles to himself like a high school girl sharing secrets. Rolling your eyes, the twitch of your lips curve into a small grin.
“Is that so out of his character?” You cross your arms, “Jaemin has always been a gentleman unlike you, who let me walk home in the dark when you know it takes me 30 minutes.”
Your best friend throws his hands up in defense, “I was going to go! Like I said, Jaemin beat me to it. He just grabbed his keys off the hook and told me he got it.”
“After you told him I felt uncomfortable?” Anger rises in your voice. Quite surely, you sound more offended than you actually are. Nonetheless, that explanation from Mark did irk you a bit when Jaemin had told you.
Mark looks sheepishly at you and takes a timid sip. “Well, didn’t you? Isn’t that why you stormed off?! When have you ever talked about nudes, or having sex for that matter?”
Scoffing, you couldn’t believe him. Your face gets warm from the spotlight he has you under. It’s complete disbelief that fuels your next line and you shout over the music, “That doesn’t mean I don’t have sex. I have sex!”
“Who is having sex?” The baritone voice sneaks up from behind you and a hot hand touches the small of your lower back. You seize up at the physical intimacy, turning around to see Jaemin looking as charming as ever. The pure visual of him has hearts in your eyes.
Mark laughs, not noticing how Jaemin snakes his hand around and rests it on your hip. He pulls you a bit closer so that your body leans against his strong arm. “We were just talking about what happened between you two a couple of weeks ago.”
Jaemin nods, as if he understands the situation completely without much context. He looks down at you and smiles sweetly, “did something happen between us?”
He doesn’t break eye contact with you, barely paying attention to Mark, who you’ve also tuned out of this conversation. The quiver in your voice is obvious and Jaemin’s eyes gleam upon hearing your sudden shyness. “No. You just drove me home.”
“Yeah, you heard it here first.” Jaemin switches to an excited and peppy demeanor, as if all is well and you two aren’t acting extremely suspicious.
Though, Mark is incredibly oblivious so he isn’t hard to fool. He doesn’t press on and gets pulled off to the side by Haechan to fix one of the speakers, leaving you and Jaemin alone among the drunken party goers. Your throat feels like it's closing in on itself, nervousness building your stomach yet again.
Jaemin swiftly turns you to face him fully, both hands holding your arms as he admires how you’ve dressed up tonight. “I’ve always liked this shirt on you. How have you been? I noticed you haven’t come around lately.”
“I’ve been busy.” You’re as quiet as a mouse, but Jaemin hears you loud and clear. You’re extremely conscious of the two of you openly together for everyone to watch or listen in, but Jaemin’s attention is solely on you.
“Busy avoiding me?” The way he asks is lighthearted. He isn’t trying to instigate the way Mark was, it's playful and unserious, even if the question did hold some genuine curiosity.
“I don’t know.” It’s easier for you to be truthful with Jaemin compared to Mark. After that brief chat in his car, you felt like you could be honest with him as he was with you. As if somehow, that one pivotal night changed the dynamic of your nonexistent friendship completely.
You feel connected to him. Seen by him. “If I did something wrong to make you want to avoid me, you gotta tell me.” Jaemin begins, sincerity heavy in his round eyes and tone.
However, you stop him from continuing. “There is nothing wrong with what you did. I liked it, alot. I avoided coming because you make me feel nervous and shy.” Perhaps you are revealing too much too soon, but you can’t help it with the way Jaemin looks at you.
He grins, “you’ve always been nervous and shy around me. Those feelings never stopped you from coming around before.”
You’re stunned at how observant he actually is. All this time, you thought you did a good job at keeping those feelings internal. Jaemin and you never shared an extensive conversation before that night, but you didn’t completely ignore him whenever he was in the room.
Whenever you two would be physically near each other, you’d strike up small talk about classes and ask how he’s been – even if you had to build up the courage to say something.
You would always greet him back when he would arrive home or if he appeared from upstairs. There would’ve been no way he could’ve seen how your hands fidgeted or hear your voice shake or when you’d avert your gaze. Right?
But he did. He saw through it all. And it hit you that Jaemin had really been observing you this entire time, beyond a simple notice. “Sure, they didn’t before. This time, things feel different between us.” “I like when you talk about there being an us.” Jaemin beams, “it’s cute. We never got to have that all this time.” He resembles a happy kid on Christmas day, opening a present that he had been good for all year. It’s hopeful and quite touching that he thought about growing closer to you.
“Do you feel like it’s different between us?” You ask timidly. The feeling of possible rejection lingers in the back of your heart. This could all be a misunderstanding and you read it all wrong.
He ponders for a bit, eyes darting to the ceiling and then back at you. “Yes, but not entirely. I think you’ve gotten more comfortable opening up to me, but my feelings toward you haven’t changed.”
Hadn’t Jaemin brought it up, you really didn’t know that your heart opened up as much as it did for him. It was all natural, seamless. He didn’t have to speedrun questions like an investigator to get you to talk, everything just flowed. The second part of his answer did prompt more curiosity rather than something definitive.
How does he feel about you?
As you debated a follow up question, the two of you get interrupted by a small group of people pulling at Jaemin’s shoulder. He is brought back to the swarm of a party and you’re retreating into the background. “Na Jaemin! We’ve been looking everywhere for you.”
Before he could excuse himself, they whisk him away deep into the dark sea of dancing individuals. Sighing, you’re left with the same emptiness you felt two weeks ago. Mark comes stumbling back, the beer in his hand now nearly finished.
“Are you drunk off of a Bud Light?” You snicker at your friend’s wobbly entrance. Your heart is heavy in your chest, but you let these emotions subside.
He takes a final drink, “I’m just feeling a little loose. I think it’s finally time you get some.”
You give in, especially now that Jaemin has reeled you in and left you without any clarity. You need a drink to calm all the nerves that he lit up, ease all the pent up tension he created.
“Only if it’s not what you’re having.” Mark’s head swishes heavily on his shoulders, peering around to find the man with the alcohol supply. He gestures to Jeno from the opposite side of the room for two shots and you laugh at their silly roleplay.
Jeno walks over and greets you with a smile, realizing he didn’t see you come in this whole time. He pours a dangerous amount of Vodka that overflows out of the small glass.
“Dude! You suck as a bartender, you’re fired!” Mark giggles drunkenly at Jeno’s heavy hand and clinks the shot glasses. “Best friend shots!” He squeals happily at you.
You oblige, holding your breath for the intake of alcohol. Wincing at the taste, you down the shot as best as you can. It’s dreadful, but somehow your muscles relax and your mind clears from the running thoughts of Jaemin.
“Another one!” Jeno cheers. This time, he prepares three shots and joins in on the random celebratory atmosphere that Mark established.
The responsible side is signaling alarm bells to slow down, but the side intoxicated with disruptive feelings of Jaemin is silencing them all. So you think, one more shot won’t hurt.
You’re unsure of how much time has passed. Twenty minutes? An hour? Maybe even two hours. It feels late and early all at the same time. At this point, you’re experiencing a good buzz after the last few rounds of shots with Jeno and Mark.
The liquid courage has you asking for Jaemin’s whereabouts.
“I think he’s upstairs in the bathroom with someone.” Mark slurs his words, clearly not knowing the magnitude of this information. Your heart sinks to the pit of your stomach, a ton of bricks hitting you. You’ve tuned out the booming music and Mark’s words play on a loop.
“When did you see him go up with someone?” You ask again, not wanting to believe Mark’s words. Could it have been one of the people from the group that stole him away? An old fling. A friend with benefits. An ex-lover. An admirer. The list unravels itself like a never ending scroll.
He shrugs, it’s obvious this man has no actual idea what is going on or how much it's affecting you. “Check for yourself.” The edge of sass in his tone has you feeling challenged. Mark always gets a bit snarky and direct whenever he’s intoxicated.
You’re going back and forth with yourself – stay or find him. If you see him making out with someone else, then what? It would actually hurt you and you only have your own blossoming feelings to blame. If he is alone, then what? Will he finally tell you how he feels about you? Will he finally kiss you? The desire for that is enough drive for you.
And so you go.
Heading up the stairs, the mess of the party downstairs fades into the background. Your palms grow sweaty as you walk down the long hallway toward the looming bathroom. Light flows through the bottom crack of the door. Not knowing what to expect, you’re just hoping what Mark said isn’t true.
Your hand holds onto the shiny knob, hesitant to get your ego bruised at the sight of Jaemin with another person. Taking a deep breath, you open the door.
Jaemin is in the midst of zipping up his jeans, the belt around his waist unbuckled. However, he is alone and oddly enough, the sound of the running toilet brings an ounce of reassurance for you. He looks up and your grip relaxes on the knob.
Upon seeing your figure, Jaemin shakes his head with a sneaky smirk. He goes about washing his hands as normal and says, “we really need to stop meeting like this.”
“Maybe you should try locking the door for once.”
“I do. Somehow, it’s always unlocked when you’re around.” He sounds so innocent lying through his teeth. Jaemin wipes his hands on the hand towel and leans against the door frame, “now are you actually going to use the bathroom or did you know I’d be here waiting for you?”
Your mouth opens to speak, but no words form. Jaemin’s gaze eats you up again, taking in your attire and dolled up look once more. His playful smile disappears and is replaced with a thin line, his jaw tightening. “So pretty.” His low voice whispers, eyes never leaving your lips.
Right then and there, the want to kiss him surges throughout your body. There is nothing stopping you from diving into Jaemin, letting him have you utterly and completely. No consequences filter through your head, no other thoughts besides what his lips taste like. It could be the alcohol, but you’re fully drunk off his sultry stare and his feathering touches on your wrist.
He leans in toward you, head tilting as he inches closer to your face. Closing your eyes, you await the kiss you’ve longed for. Blood pumping in your veins and heart doing somersaults in your chest.
“Did you drink?” You quickly open your eyes at his question and see Jaemin pulling back. The familiar feeling of disappointment floods your body too well.
“I took a few shots.” You’re biting the inside of your cheek, trying to not look embarrassed at how badly you wanted him to kiss you. The smell of alcohol is still hot on your breath and you’re even surprised at how composed you’ve managed to be.
“Sweetheart, I don’t want to kiss you like this.” Jaemin’s tone is sweet, but firm. Although you were nowhere near black out drunk, you understood his sentiments. He wanted to kiss you without any chance of regret. He wants to do it right.
“I blame Mark for this.” A heavy sigh falls at the end of your sentence. You roll your eyes at the sound of Mark’s voice from downstairs. Regardless of your disappointment, your heart is still burning at how he called you sweetheart. You didn’t know how good it would sound until it left his mouth.
In a blink of an eye, he quickly kisses your cheek. “That will have to do for now.” Jaemin smiles, wide and toothy.
You don’t have enough time to process, still stuck at the small pet name, as he whisks you back down to join everyone at the party. Your eyes widen, cheeks grow hot, butterflies grow in your lower abdomen, and wild thoughts swirl in your head. All of which didn’t need Jaemin’s nude for these effects to arise.
“You know, Jaemin has started asking about you a lot.” Mark looks up from his laptop, taking a break from his strenuous essay. It had been a week after the party and everything fell right back into routine. You’d show up to their house as if you never stopped coming around.
The only difference is that you’re not here to see Mark anymore. You’re here for Jaemin. As clingy and corny as that seemed, you left every day happy that you got to talk to him. The two of you had been texting since the night of the party, mostly brief conversations about your day, but he never forgets to wish you a good morning.
Whenever you’re at the house, Jaemin would join you and Mark when he’d come home. Initially, Mark didn’t seem to notice that his housemate would linger for as long as you’d be here or that Jaemin would purposefully sit close to you, or those longing stares you two would share across the table.
It wasn’t until you were drinking water and Jaemin had casually asked for a sip. Then, it clicked. Mark jumped, he pointed fingers, he accused. All of which, you two blinked innocently at him in confusion, Jaemin’s bottom lip touching the rim of your bottle.
Jaemin and you denied everything Mark tried to throw at you two, given that in all actuality, you two are only getting to know each other. He still hasn’t kissed you on the lips. He still hasn’t really spent time with you alone again, though you are incredibly nervous at that potential idea coming to fruition.
After the night of the party, you’ve been wondering and waiting for his move. It did bother you the first few days, but his sweet texts always had a grin growing on your face. Jaemin played a very long game.
“Really? Like what?” You try to hide your undying curiosity. Not looking up from your screen, you pretend to browse through empty tabs to seem like you are too busy to care. But deep down, it has been eating away at you wondering how Jaemin feels.
Mark smirks, “tell me what has been going on between you two and then I’ll tell you.”
Scoffing, you roll your eyes at his deal. “That just sounds like you’re making shit up.”
“So there is something going on between you two!” His voice grows louder, a bit more accusatorial. His eyes narrow, “you know I expected secrets from him, but not from you! You’re my best friend.” Mark’s sad pout tugs at your heartstrings.
A sigh escapes your lips and you give him your full attention. It didn’t feel good having to keep things from him, but you thought to wait until something actually happened before saying anything. Nonetheless, since you can’t stand seeing your best friend sad, you decide to just come clean from the beginning.
“He sent you that nude!?” Mark gasps as you reveal the night Jaemin drove you home. The more you talk about your encounters with Jaemin and your thought process, the more you realize how much you like him. Beyond attraction, beyond his chivalry. A flower has grown from the seed he watered.
“No wonder why there is this weird tension whenever we’re all together. It’s because you two are literally eye fucking each other across the room.” Mark grumbles, but he lets you finish telling your piece. From the nude to the conversation in the kitchen to the kiss on the cheek. He now knows everything you’ve experienced and how you’re wrapped around Jaemin’s finger.
A part of you prepares for the teasing and the gross kissing noises, but your best friend just nods silently. His stare is blank, like he is trying to process the everything and nothing you’ve been through. Growing nervous, you shift uncomfortably on the couch.
“Jaemin asked me about your favorite things. He told me that it’s something that would come in handy one day.” Mark clears his throat and can barely look you in the eye, almost embarrassed to share such an intimate question his friend asked about you. “He also asked if I had feelings for you.”
Your jaw drops, heart falling to the pit of your stomach. This is unexplored terrain – the two of you never touched on the topic of potentially becoming romantic. It had always just felt mutually platonic. Sitting up quickly, you lean closer toward him.
He sends a weird stare at your sudden attentive figure. “I don’t, first of all, don’t get too excited here.”
The anticipation leaves your system, falling back against the cushion and going back to your homework. “I thought you were going to reveal some crazy backstory with the way you’re acting.”
Mark laughs, mockingly. “We’re nearly siblings. I’ve seen every bad part of you, your charm doesn’t work on me.”
“Well, the feeling is mutual!” You ruffle his hair, messing it up between your fingers as he tries to push you off. A fit of giggles fill the room that the two of you don’t hear the front door open.
When the door shuts, you glance over to see Jaemin stripping his shirt. Cursing under your breath, your eyes remain stuck on all his bare skin. His whole chest and abs glisten with droplets of sweat, veins popping from whatever pump he got from the gym. His track pants hang low, the waistband of his briefs peeking through.
Mark laughs at how you’re practically frozen over Jaemin. Jaemin looks your way and his familiar, sweet smile greets you. “Hey cutie, did you finish your project?”
He walks over, his shirt thrown over his broad shoulders. Heat travels across your cheeks, you swear the temperature in the room went up several degrees. You’re batting your eyelashes, but averting any attention from his defined figure as he closes the space between you two.
Jaemin’s heart swells at the sight of your shy antics. He can’t imagine anyone as cute as you, so reactive to every little thing he does. He doesn’t even see Mark in the room, all he wants to pay attention to is you.
“Almost. Mark has been distracting.” Maybe your voice naturally gets airy around him, Jaemin just makes you want to twirl your hair and smile all the time. He takes a seat on the armrest next to you. As he crosses his arms, his biceps make their appearance once again – all voluptuous and strong.
“Oh? How so?” He cocks a curious brow, finally taking a glance over at his housemate. Mark snickers at how differently you react to Jaemin’s casual demeanor. For all he has known, this is how Jaemin is. He’ll walk around shirtless, even pants less, as if it is any normal day. But since Mark kindly warns him that you’re going to be coming around, he complies.
Now, Jaemin just wants to drive you into delirium.
Your mind is absolutely wiped, there is nothing more distracting than a half naked Jaemin – this you knew too well. As you tremble over your words, Mark saves the day by falsely admitting how he’s been trying to chat with you so he didn’t have to do his essay.
“Ah, chatterbox. I’m jealous.” Jaemin gets up and spins on his heel, heading toward the stairs. Your body unknowingly leans toward his fleeting figure, a pout tugging at the corner of your lips.
Jaemin’s finger taps along the railing, drawing a trail as he walks up each step. “I wish I got to distract you from your project, talk to you for hours.”
You’re freaking out internally, trying to decipher if he had just spit out an innuendo or if he genuinely meant it. You fight the urge to completely yell at the top of your lungs how much you’d love him to. Mark also bites back the scream that threatens to escape, not believing what he is a witness to.
“You can!” Your chirpy, forced tone nearly cracks from your nervousness. “Join us after your shower.” Even if you wanted him alone, you’re willing to settle for moments with Mark in them.
“I’ll come, don’t worry.” No flirtation, no smug smirks, Jaemin gently reassures you that he’ll come back for you. And while the heavy tension in the air dissipates, you’re finding your heart to throb at his thoughtfulness.
“Dude, you’re so whipped for him.” Mark giggles and you’re throwing a decorative pillow at his chest, very much embarrassed. “I should let you guys be alone, would you want that?”
The second Mark proposes his question, your heart shakes at the possibility of Jaemin and you finally alone again for an extended period of time. It is a nerve wrecking thought, you can feel your pulse racing. Not that you had avoided such a potential situation, but you didn’t really think you would get the chance to. Now that your good friend knows everything, he has the power to help you out.
“I do.” You’re admitting so much of your vulnerability that Mark actually softens at your tiny request. He nods and packs up his things without any hesitation. “But where are you going to go?” You didn’t want to seem like you were kicking out your friend from his own house.
He brushes off your guilty tone, “don’t worry. There’s a study session happening in 15 minutes for one of my classes.” With that, he slings his backpack over his shoulder and takes a moment to look at you. His facial expression is hard to decipher.
You stand and he holds your shoulders, “no more secrets.” Mark says with glossy eyes and a small smile. “And use protection.” He laughs, breaking the almost sweet and serious moment you two rarely share. You push him off and roll your eyes, though secretly grateful that you have Mark in your life.
It’s agonizing as you wait for Jaemin to come out of the shower, being completely alone with your hypotheticals and expectations eating away at you. There’s no way you have the capacity right now to focus on your project and homework. Jaemin just consumed every bit of you.
When he finally walks down the stairs, fully clothed and hair freshly blow dried, you pretend again that you’re too busy to notice. He heads toward the kitchen to open a can of Diet Pepsi and makes his way back. Jaemin snuggles up next to you, arm draped around the back of your side of the couch and you’re drowning in the scent of his body wash.
“Mark left?” He sips, his Adam’s apple bobbing and his jaw tightening with each gulp. You’re lost in his seeping aura, wondering how the fuck he looks so good doing something so simple.
Clearing your throat, you place your laptop on the coffee table and face up at him. He meets your starry eyes and it takes so much in you to not break away. “Study session.”
Jaemin nods knowingly, leaning forward to also neatly set down his can. Almost immediately, the atmosphere in the room shifts from light hearted to heavy sensual tension. Not that either one of you expected anything to happen, but just being in each other’s presence is suffocating and intoxicating all at once.
Now that you’re finally alone with him, you can’t help all the nerves and flips in your stomach from happening. “I kept you waiting then.” His voice is raspy, causing it to sound deeper than normal.
Shaking your head, you say the first thing your heart thinks of. “I’m always willing to wait for you.” Jaemin lifts an eyebrow at your statement, noting the shock in your face as soon as it filled the air. His arm snakes around your waist, pulling you onto his lap and you’re maneuvering your legs to straddle him.
This intimate position has your heart springing out of your chest, thumping so aggressively that you swear he can feel it against his own. His hands are politely placed on your back and he peers up at you with a sultry stare. You’re holding your breath and unsure where to place your hands, losing your wits already at how things have escalated.
“Is this alright with you? Am I doing too much?” He cautiously asks, ready to set you back down to where he had selfishly pulled you from.
“This,” Scrambling, tripping, cat’s got your tongue! Jaemin doesn’t realize how your mind has been lit with flames all from this one swift movement. “This is fine. I like this.”
He smirks, “you like being on top of me?” When he asks such a nasty question, you’re too bashful to play along. Jaemin chuckles, “you’re driving me crazy right now.”
You are? It’s quite unbelievable that any of this has an effect on him. Perhaps he is better at holding back his reactive facial expressions, but Jaemin seems so laid back and unphased. “Me? I’ve barely said more than a few sentences.”
“It’s not about the quantity, you can say anything to me and I’d be smitten for you.” Jaemin taps your nose, in a loving and endearing way. You’re getting a side of him you’ve never really seen before – this head over heels, heart eyed fool. A part of you craves more of this, feeling special at how he only has eyes for you.
The other part is shocked that you’re even experiencing any of this, how did you get so lucky?
“Jaem, are you going to finally tell me how you feel about me?” When you say his name, his nonchalant attitude almost falters. His ears perk up, eyes alert and a tighter grip on the hem of your shirt. “How did we get here?”
He purses his lips, contemplating long and hard about how he should go about explaining himself. Your voice is more stern, he can tell you’ve been wanting to get an answer to this for a while.
“I like you.” Jaemin says it so easily, those words roll off of his tongue effortlessly that it surprises himself.
“Since when?” You don’t mean to sound so interrogative, but all this time, this didn’t make any sense to you. Maybe your own lovey eyes blinded you from seeing his feelings or that your own self esteem halted you from believing someone like him could like you back. Nevertheless, this all came about so suddenly for you.
A small smile grows on his face as he thinks back to the first time he saw you. Your timid introduction and you glued to Mark’s side, but none of that could take away from how pretty you looked.
And when he first heard you laugh, like really laugh, he swore he needed to hear it again, and again, and again. Sooner or later, he found your shyness irresistibly adorable and he only wanted to interact with you more, but was unsure about your relationship with Mark.
Ultimately, Jaemin decided to keep his distance because you and Mark seemed more than close. However, the more he pulled away, the more you filled his empty thoughts and daydreams.
Whenever you came around, he found himself happier just upon seeing you for a brief second and hearing your silly anecdotes to Mark all the way from his room. If all you two had exchanged was a small greeting, Jaemin would be satisfied.
Until the night you stayed for one of their drunk kickbacks, and something inside of him unlocked. A new sense of desire? The introduction of lust and curiosity.
Jaemin noted the way you’d squirm, dig yourself deeper into the cushions, hide your face in your shirt. Your reactions to his friends’ sexual adventures were typical, full of gasps and slight embarrassment, but your eyes were more than telling of your piqued interest. The one thing that he hated was that you never openly shared a single thing, even when asked.
So, that meant he didn’t either. In a more respectful sense, he normally doesn’t dive into the nitty details as much as his housemates do, but you were such a mysterious person. He wanted to keep himself that way as well, making him as alluring as you were. The art of not knowing, just makes you want to know more.
And when you would stand up for him against the other boys, that boldness only made you more attractive. Maybe you didn’t want to know about his personal endeavors, regardless, you respected his privacy and were willing to break out of your shell for him.
What other layers of you has he not seen? That caused him to wonder how much he could push you, what other reactions he could draw out of you, and gauge if you had any interest in him.
In between your nervous stammers and long stares, Jaemin had some inkling that you might be into him. However, he couldn’t tell if that was just his ego deluding his judgment or if it was the actual truth.
He had something less drastic in mind than you walking in on him in the bathroom. But, he thought if he waited and hesitated as much as he did before, there would never really be another chance. If you were disinterested, it would’ve been a lighthearted mistake and brief awkwardness. If you were interested, then it opens the door metaphorically as well.
So in the spur of the moment, as he heard your voice and footsteps down the hallway, he quickly unlocked the door. His heart pounded rapidly in his chest as he tried to keep his phone steady.
Act natural. Be cool. Be confident.
He just hoped you couldn’t see right through his desperate act. And when you opened the door and everything that followed after, it was enough to wash away any doubt he had before.
After dropping you off, he decided right then and there that he was going to pursue you.
“Would you believe me if I told you it was since the day I met you?” His voice is soft and quiet. Jaemin brushes a few strands of hair out of your face, gently tucking it behind your ear. “I was looking forward to your presence without realizing it. I’d tell Haechan and Jeno how I was excited to hear your voice, even if it wasn’t speaking to me.”
He could be such a romantic, though this didn’t come too much of a shock to you. You couldn’t believe that you’d be the recipient of it one day. “Since the day we met. That feels like ages ago.” Your eyes wander off, trying to regain the distant memory.
You could barely remember the day Mark introduced you to his housemates. It was such a blurry scene, mostly because you were so painstakingly nervous so you tried to bury it in the depths of your mind. The only thing you remember was the tight grip you had on Mark’s sleeve and Jaemin’s gorgeous smile.
“Why didn’t you try approaching me? Be my friend, get to know me back then?” You ask, a small edge in your tone. Instead of months of googly, heart eyed stares, you two could’ve been acquainted much earlier. Your relationship would’ve been so far along, milestones would’ve already been hit. A thousand kisses would’ve already been exchanged.
Jaemin is well aware of his lack of action, “I wasn’t sure about you and Mark. I didn’t want to overstep and initially, I couldn’t tell if you even wanted to be around anyone besides him.” Now his questions to both you and Mark made sense.
He wanted to be absolutely certain that there would be no conflict. No room for anyone else. No blurred lines. Jaemin wanted to do it right.
“So, me walking in on you in the bathroom… was that an honest mistake?” As all the dots connected and all the lines matched up, you’re replaying all the moments that led up to this point.
He can see the gears turning in your beautiful head and laughs, “like I said, somehow, it’s always unlocked when you’re around.”
Rolling your eyes, you settle with your own conclusion that perhaps it was in his plans all along to fluster the fuck out of you. As much as you hate to admit it, it worked. Hook, line and sinker.
“How do you feel?” Jaemin asks, as his knuckles rub lovingly against your cheek. His big hand slides toward your jawline and he firmly cups your face, a quick flicker from your eyes to your lips.
Intense. That is how you feel. At any second, you are a volcano ready to erupt. All these pent up emotions – lust, fondness, frustration – burst at your seams. All of which is unbeknownst to Jaemin, despite being the very spark of it.
“I feel like you should kiss me now.” Spoken confidently, Jaemin is shocked at your response. You didn’t have to ask him twice though, as he pulled you into him without missing a beat.
The kiss is slow and cautious, like he is holding back from doing too much, taking too much. He guides your hands onto his collarbones and across his toned chest. Underneath his thin shirt, you feel how strong and defined he is. You’re hesitant at first, unaware of how much you could feel.
Jaemin could sense it, pausing in between your small kisses to take off his shirt. You’re wide eyed, fully shocked at his chiseled body right in front of you. It’s just like how you remembered from his photo, except now it’s not through a tiny phone screen. All on display, Jaemin takes your shaky hands and places them delicately on his broad shoulders.
“Touch me.” It’s all he has to say until your lips are connected again. His hot skin against your fingertips as you’re dragging them down his biceps, moving along all of his exposed terrain.
Adrenaline fills your system and you can’t even begin to stop all the lustful and romantic feelings that bubble across your chest. So, you fervently kiss him back to signal just how much you want it, how much you wish to be kissed by him.
Jaemin loses it between your sweet touches and your eagerness, both hands now holding your face steady for him to deepen the kiss. The feverish glide of his lips on yours is something unforgettable. It’s inimitable, a passion that solely exists for the two of you. Kissing Jaemin is blissful, like nothing matters more than being here lips locked and hands on his bare chest.
Kissing Jaemin also ruined you. Moving forward, you’ll crave this feeling forever. How are you supposed to kiss anyone else in this world now? How will you ever want to kiss anyone else knowing you’ve experienced this?
You two make out until condensation forms on the outside of his Diet Pepsi can. There is a lingering taste of the soda on his tongue; a taste you once hated so much is now something you can’t get enough of.
When you’re both finally pulling away, your lips are puffy and Jaemin is catching his breath. He could feel his heart bursting at the sight of your disheveled hair and pouty lips. You’re the prettiest baby he’s ever seen.
He’s staring at you with tiny stars in his eyes, ones that reflect your own. And he breaks the silence, “now we can finally tell Mark we kissed.” A sweet, kind smile appears at the end of his sentence.
You’re laughing, and Jaemin’s heart flutters knowing he is the reason behind that melodic sound he loves hearing so much.
“Mark is going to love hearing about this.”

pretty boy
pairing: spencer reid x reader
summary: spencer walks in one day with a new look. you handle it pretty well.
a/n: im in the opposite of a writing slump right now (will prob fall into a writing slump right after i say this) probably because im procrastinating on essays for school and i can only write when im meant to be doing work. but tiny little fluffy spencer one shots are very good for the soul right now. i think it's my way of healing from my hotch fic
wc: 1.8k
warning(s): one slightly sexual joke from emily. all fluff
You usually don’t get to the office this early, but you don’t exactly have a choice. The BAU’s last couple cases have all run one after another, barely leaving you any time in the office, and now you’re paying for it.
You’ve got a mountain of paperwork to get through and not nearly enough time to do it all—if you’re lucky, you’ll be writing reports for a few days straight. If you’re not, you’ll be putting in some overtime.
“This is the most focused I’ve ever seen you this early,” Derek comments.
You shake your head with a sigh. “These reports are government mandated torture.”
He chuckles, and he nods at Emily as she walks over to her desk. “Are you this busy?”
She shakes her head. “I’ve still got a report to get through, but nothing that bad.”
“I get it,” you say wryly. “You’re all more organized than me. Just don’t come to me asking to go out tonight—you know I can’t say no.”
“But don’t shots taste better when you’re supposed to be doing work?” Derek asks, and you roll your eyes with a laugh.
“Not when I’ve got this much work I’m supposed to be doing.”
You hear the elevator ding and glance up—Spencer’s walking through and fixing his tie. You look back down at your report as you greet him.
“Hey, Spence,” you call. “Why’re you late?”
“I’m not late,” he says, and you can see him checking his watch out of your peripherals. “I’m two minutes and thirty-three seconds early.”
“Really?” you muse. “I guess I’m just so used to you being here before me.”
“You can’t judge my timeliness on yours when you’ve been here for an hour already,” Spencer says.
You frown, tapping your pen against the paper. “How do you know?”
“You’re settled in already. Your coat’s on your chair, your stack of unfinished files is smaller than it was last time we were in the office, your coffee isn’t steaming, and your mug has a chipped handle—when they were put away last night, that one was set in the front, so you’d have to be here early to get it.”
“Touche,” you murmur. You’re not sure why you ever ask your team of profilers how they know something.
“You also look like you don’t want to be here,” he comments. “That’s pretty typical of agents who have to be here before their regular hours.”
You chuckle and tilt your head in admission. You don’t really want to be here, especially running on so few hours of sleep.
“Why aren’t you as early as usual?” Emily asks.
“My neighbor knocked on my door this morning to ask me for something,” Spencer says. “It threw off my whole routine. I picked the wrong tie, I couldn’t pack my bag properly, and I had to toast my bagel for two minutes instead of three and a half to make it out in time.”
“How terrible,” Derek says with mock austerity.
“It is terrible!” he exclaims. “It’s scientifically proven that a morning routine makes you happier, more energized, and ready to seize the day—carpe diem.” Spencer sets his bag on the floor next to his desk and looks at everyone else with a smile. “Did you know that phrase was actually coined by the Roman poet Horace in his Odes? It comes from the first book out of four in the eleventh poem—the full phrase in Latin is carpe diem, quam mini—”
“How was your bagel?” Emily asks to interrupt him, and he pauses.
“It was good,” he says. “Could’ve been toastier.”
You look up, a teasing remark on the edge of your tongue, but the words die in your throat when you actually see him.
Spencer’s started combing a hand through his hair to fix it—must have been another part of his affected morning routine—his lips set in a pout as he tries to see his reflection in his dark monitor. He always looks good, even without trying, but now—
“You’re wearing glasses,” you say dumbly.
“My contacts dried out,” he grumbles, still focused on his hair. “We got home so late last night I forgot to put them in their solution, and I had no time to fix them because my neighbor messed up my whole morning.”
You nod, still unable to tear your eyes away from him. “Are you gonna keep wearing them?”
“I don’t know. Contacts are better for cases because I’m not worried about them falling off or fogging up, but I usually sleep on the jet on the way back, and sleeping with contacts in isn’t good.” He smiles a bit as he fully turns to you, seemingly satisfied with his hair. “It reduces the amount of oxygen that gets to your cornea, which damages the cornea’s surface and makes it harder to regenerate new cells. Sleeping with contacts actually makes you six to eight times more likely to get an eye infection.”
You nod again, your brain still not quite working at full power. You always love listening to Spencer’s fact dumps—it gives you a lot of material to impress your non-BAU friends with on the side, and you’re eternally thankful for that—but right now, you seriously cannot focus.
You’d never really thought about him in glasses, but that’s probably a good thing if this is how it makes you feel.
You were valedictorian as an undergrad, and you received stellar feedback from your professors during your masters program. You’re an excellent profiler, a valued member of the BAU, and you’re a goddamn FBI agent.
And yet you can’t find a single thought in your head because your coworker showed up to work wearing glasses.
He’s still rambling about other common causes of eye infection and how nobody seems to take them as seriously as they should, when Derek, not even trying to hide his grin at your turmoil, speaks up.
“Reid. Wanna cool it a bit?”
Spencer’s eyes dart over to him for a moment before he stops. “Uh— sorry.” He frowns as he looks back at you. “Why do you ask? Do you not like them?”
“No,” you blurt out, and you shake your head a multitude of times. “No. They look great. You look great. They’re—” You dig your nails hard into your palm as you try your hardest to smile like normal, and this time you nod. “They’re good, Spence.”
“Thanks.” Spencer does that little smile-nod combo of his, and he pushes his glasses back into place with his thumb by the bottom of the frames. “That’s nice to know I’ve got another option.”
You thank whatever god may be out there that Hotch and Penelope are busy in their offices and JJ is busy with some other case, because you think you would die if anyone else saw you like this.
“Hey, Reid,” Emily says, also not doing a very good job of hiding her amusement. You hate your team sometimes. “They’re almost out of sugar in the breakroom. If you want coffee the way you like it this morning, you should probably get in there.”
“What?” Spencer shoots up, his brows already furrowing into a frown. “That— that’s ridiculous. I can’t mess up my morning any more.”
“You’d better get in there, then,” she remarks.
“We’re an entire office of agents running on coffee,” Spencer complains as he starts walking. “How are we almost out of sugar?”
“Because half of ‘em drink it black,” Derek says, and Spencer shakes his head with a sigh as he leaves.
“That’s ridiculous.”
You bury your head in your hands the moment he’s gone and Derek laughs. “I wish I could’ve gotten that on video.”
“Don’t talk to me,” you groan. “It is not fair of him to walk in like that.”
“And that is why I call him pretty boy.”
“He needs them to see,” Emily says with amusement as she leans against the side of your desk. “You just can’t control yourself.”
“I need to transfer offices,” you say, shaking your head. “I can’t do this.”
“You should ask him out!” Derek encourages. “He’d probably say yes.”
“Absolutely not,” you insist. “I doubt he likes me like that. A— and even if he does, that’s the last thing either of us need right now.”
“I don’t know,” Emily muses. “It looks like you clearly need something.”
You let out a frustrated noise as you screw your eyes shut. “I’m doomed.”
You hear Spencer say your name, and when you look over at him, one hand still pressed against your head, you see he’s got two cups of coffee in his hands. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” you say weakly. “I’m great. Why?”
“I got you one too,” he says, holding one of the mugs out to you. “The one you have is probably cold by now, and it looks like you need an extra kick to get through all those reports.”
“Thanks, Spence. That’s sweet.” He nods as you take the proffered mug, and you swear your cheeks are as warm as the coffee. He is really testing your strength today.
“You— you have a lot,” he says, and you huff a dry laugh and nod. “I’m not trying to be sarcastic. I could take half of them if you want?”
Your grip tightens on the mug and you can feel Derek’s eyes on you. “I couldn’t make you do that, Spence.”
“You’re not!” Spencer exclaims. “I can get through mine really quickly—we worked together for almost the whole last case so I can do all of that anyways.”
“...You’re sure it wouldn’t be an imposition?”
“I’m sure,” he nods. “Besides, I offered. I wouldn’t if I didn’t want to.”
And god damn him, because he nudges his glasses back into place again, pushes a strand of loose hair back into place. You’re dying over here.
You set the mug of coffee on your desk and pick up the top half of your pile. “All yours, Spence.”
He takes the bottom half and smiles at you, and you smile back before he walks back to his desk. You are dying over here.
“Let me know how I can pay you back,” you say, and he shakes his head.
“You don’t need to pay me back.”
“Really?”
Spencer nods. “I mean, Morgan invited us all out on the jet last night, and I don’t think I can do it alone. If you can get out of the office in time, I don’t have to. I think that's enough of a payback.”
“Yeah,” you say. “I’ll be there.”
He smiles again and nods, then he picks up a pen and focuses in. You turn back to your desk, your face burning.
“What was that about him not liking you like that?” Derek says.
“Quiet!” you whisper-yell, swatting him with the pile of files in your hand. “He might hear you!”
“He’s not hearing anything while he’s focused on that,” he says. “That just means you can ogle him more.”
You groan again, letting your forehead fall into your palm. “I’m pathetic.”
“I think you’re right.” Emily chuckles as she stands up. “You are doomed.”

ʙᴀʟᴅᴇʀꜝ ⨟ ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ᴛʜɪɴɢꜱ ʜᴇ ᴅᴏᴇꜱ
✭ pairing(s): aventurine, dr ratio, boothill, gallagher, sunday, argenti, mr. reca, sampo, jing yuan, blade, luocha, jiaoqiu, moze, dan heng, gepard, caelus, welt (seperate) x reader
✩ in which: you notice the little things they do for you/around you.
✧ a/n: a little something ive been thinkin about U_U and something to tide my followers over while i work on strawberry season! (and unfortunately fall victim to The Inspiration and The Motivation.)
✦ taglist: @fffrost, @shinysora
🗒 cw: gn reader, just fluff, short n sweet, old man welt. actual old man welt, not proofread
✎ wc: 2.4k
⎯ Aventurine
One of AVENTURINE’s habits at the table is holding onto your hand, or even just linking your pinkies. It’s his way of waning himself off of clutching his chips behind his back. You’re his good luck charm, of course. It’s not just at the table or machines, though. He does this at the arcade, as well. He’ll make you stand close by, even wrap your arms around his arm as he messes with the claw machine. He swears up and down that you really are his lucky charm. If you step away, he does his very best to fail miserably. Unfortunately, he’s still somehow able to get some plushies. But he won’t let that ruin the magic.
⎯ Dr. Ratio
RATIO, while he doesn’t seem the sentimental type, really likes to take some of your jewelry with him to work. He prefers necklaces most of all, something easy to tuck in if students dare to ask about it. He loves to keep some part of you close, especially when he’s away. He won’t outright say why he likes it, but it’s something along the lines of keeping you very close to his heart. He asks politely, although a little sheepishly. He’ll lie for his pride, saying it’s simply something nice to hold on to. It’s odd, really, he’s not so shy with his declarations of love, but something so little has him pretending that he’s too shy to say it.
⎯ Boothill
There’s a lot BOOTHILL does. Too many to count. One thing he really seems to enjoy is triggering his censor on purpose. Before he had gotten serious about making you his partner, he’d get annoyed when you’d snicker and chuckle at his censor. He’d pitch a fit, huff and puff and curse you out even more. But it’s that same snicker that made him fall in love; at least, that’s what he believes. He was head over heels the minute he met you. But that's besides the point. After all he’s seen, the blood on his hands, and much more, he’s realized he’d do anything for that laugh. So he “swears” as much as he can around you, his Synthesia Beacon somehow slipping in new words. Where the hell did ‘banana’ come from…?
⎯ Gallagher
One of GALLAGHER’s favorite things to do when he gets home is cuddle. He’s busy as is, and some time to decompress with his lover always sounds like heaven. Oftentimes, he’ll drag you to the bed or the couch, even when you’re in the middle of something. He loves to bury his face into your shoulder. And moreso, he loves the way you giggle when his stubble tickles your neck. When you squirm and try to break free, he only tightens his hold, pulling you up against his chest as you laugh and swat at him, telling him to stop. He doesn’t. He’ll poke at your sides and squeeze at your hips as well, anything to keep you laughing.
⎯ Sunday
SUNDAY is so sickeningly sweet when it comes to you. His affections aren’t subtle, bringing you a bouquet of flowers when you’re at work, taking you out on fancy dates, and so much more. He is a textbook romantic. No act of love is little from him, he makes sure not to skip out. He wants you to know just how much he loves you, grand gesture or not. However, one thing you have noticed is the way his wings flutter just a little when he sees you, or hears you. A light blush always dusts his cheeks, followed by a smile and a tilt of his head. When you visit him while he’s working, his wings flutter just a little bit longer. You aren’t sure if he is aware of this, but you don’t want him to stop, so you decide to keep it a secret.
⎯ Argenti
Oh, ARGENTI, sweet Argenti. He’s so… princely, when it comes to you. Such a gentleman, really. He follows the sidewalk rule almost religiously, places his hand on the small of your back when the two of you are walking, grabs your hand so tenderly and kneels in front of you to kiss it, everything and anything that can come out of a fairy tale. One of his favorite things to do, however, is letting you do his hair. While he quite likes letting his long hair down, he loves nothing more than your hands running through it. He allows everything short of cutting it. In fact, he loves it so much, he practically runs to you before he trains, so you can put his hair up in a ponytail. If you want to braid it, however, he won’t mind. As long as you don’t yank his hair.
⎯ Mr. Reca
MR. RECA is all for the theatrics, on and off the set. Sometimes, it feels like he can’t turn off his whole director persona, even with you. Not that you mind. While he’s packed full of movie and media references, some that barely make him sound coherent, there are moments where he’s a completely Normal Guy with you. Sometimes it makes you think he’s lost his mind. However, one of your favorite things that prove he wasn’t abducted is when he acts like your life is a movie. He’ll bring his hands up and frame your face with his fingers, ramble on about how the main actor is just ‘too perfect for this role’, and how you're ‘born for the screen, born for my heart!’. He’ll add some sort of dramatic flare, clutching his chest or pretending he’ll pass out. While Memokeeper’s are quite odd, you don’t think you’d give up this one for the world.
⎯Sampo Koski
Whatever you need, SAMPO has. He even established this before the start of the relationship. He’s like… a penguin. While him showering you in luxurious gifts is not uncommon, it’s truly the smaller ones that count. Random trinkets he found somewhere, most were a little dusty and dirty, but ones that had provoked the thought of you, making them so meaningful. He presents all sorts of things to you, really. Rings he just ‘happened’ to find, necklaces and bracelets too, gears that were in such very oddly pristine condition, and his favorite: shells and rocks. He really does live up to the actions of a penguin, finding the prettiest rocks he can to give to his lover. Perhaps he is proposing…? It’s hard to say.
⎯ Jing Yuan
As the Divine Foresight, JING YUAN doesn’t get as much time as he’d like to enjoy the little things with you. A stroll once in a while is nice, or perhaps sitting down for at least ten minutes and chatting will do. He’s a simple man, and seeing your face for a fraction of a second is enough to tide him over for the next month. At least, that’s what he says. When he does get to spend time with you, he has a habit of bumping into you ‘accidentally’. He leans in close whenever you’re inspecting the fruit at the market, tends to bump into the two of you when you’re just walking, and actually prefers sitting on the same side of the table most of the time. All to enjoy those brief moments of contact. You’ve told him countless times that he could just ask to hold your hand, and he does, but somehow he always finds a way to come impossibly closer…
⎯ Blade
There’s not much BLADE does that isn’t small. He’s not necessarily vocal about his love for you (however he does love you, very much), nor is he good at expressing it. You’ve learned to translate the little things into big things, even something as simple as an ‘i thought of you’ when he comes back from a mission is a big deal. There’s one thing you’ve noticed that you’ve gotten to hold over the other Stellaron Hunters, though. He hates shopping, unless it’s with you. With Kafka and Firefly, he groans and acts uninterested most of the time, but with you, he’s quiet. Perfectly content to hold your bags, no matter how much things you have bought. No complaining, not even a grimace. Don’t point it out though. He’ll start pitching a fit if you so much as suggest that he loves you. (He does. But it’s hard to say or express for a man like him.)
⎯ Luocha
LUOCHA’s good with physical contact. With his profession and secrecy, sometimes it’s hard for you to remember that. He’s often gone for so long, doing Aeons knows what, that you tend to miss him, and especially his physical affections. Somehow, he’s also terrifyingly good at coming back just when you start to miss him too much. By then, you are craving a warm hug from him by the very least. But he always does more. He treats you, a nice date, either a day out or a day inside, before he’s off again. Somehow, his hands always find your hair, playing with it absentmindedly. You could be on the verge of sleep, and here he is, twirling a strand of your hair around his fingers idly. Running his fingers through it, scratching your scalp, the list goes on. You start to wonder if it’s you he missed, or your hair.
⎯ Jiaoqiu
Now, JIAOQIU doesn’t like feeling helpless. Just because he’s blind doesn’t mean anything, he’s still a great healer, and an even better cook. Before he lost his sight, he’d cook terrifyingly grand meals for you, practically a whole feast for twelve. And if you can’t handle spice? You’re the only one he would turn down the heat for. But that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t let you off the hook. No, he chose to build your spice tolerance, instead. Adding more and more to each meal, even if you struggled with it. Now, without his sight, he’s only a little more hesitant to cook. He’s gotten all sorts of aids that help, of course. But knives are still knives, and he can be as careful as he wants, but they’ve somehow made him just a little antsy. So, he likes to guide you through chopping vegetables and the like. It doesn’t matter if you can do it by yourself, he likes to stand behind you as he ‘guides’ your wrists, smiling and snickering all the while.
⎯ Moze
It comes to no surprise that what MOZE enjoys best is cleaning. With you, he’s amped it up a little. When he can, he likes to do all the chores he possibly can before you get home. It’s something you’re used to, but even if you tell him you’d like to have a few to do, he acts like he takes it to mind. Really, he’s just telling himself he’ll have to do more. Days off aren’t exactly existent for him, but if he’s not keeping his hands busy, he gets anxious. So he’s resorted to making your life easier, sweeping the house, cleaning the dishes, doing laundry, and much more. You can’t argue, because who wants to do chores, anyways?
⎯ Dan Heng
While DAN HENG can be quite romantic, that doesn’t stop him from being what he is, an introvert. Some of his best days are spent holed up in his room on the Express, kicking back and ignoring what he can, unless it’s urgent. A nice quiet day and some tea are his true peace. And you, of course. He likes spending those quiet moments with you, especially when the two of you are just… doing your own thing. He could be reading, and you could be playing a game on your phone or watching something right next to him. He has no qualms if you aren’t doing something together, as long as you’re right next to him. ‘Parallel play’, he’s heard March call it. It fits, truly.
⎯ Gepard
GEPARD is truly a gentleman. He almost fits the Golden Retriever standard to a T. Kind and gentle, protective yet oh so sweet, almost knightly. While his work hours hold him hostage most of the time, he cherishes the time he gets to spend with you. Even when he’s tired and worn out, he simply can’t say no to a date. He’s the definition of royalty treatment. Holding your jacket, helping you zip up your clothes when need be, following the sidewalk rule, switching out your shoes if they’re uncomfortable, opening doors, and making sure your chair is pulled out before he sits down. No gesture of love is too small for him, or at least, he makes sure the small ones culminate into something bigger.
⎯ Caelus
To be honest, you still really can’t get CAELUS, even as his partner. He’s a bit quirky, maybe a tad too adventurous (stay out of those trash cans, you beg of him. But he does not listen), and perhaps way too into it for the bit. But that doesn’t mean you don’t love him. He’s silly and goofy and quite profound when he’s in the mood, although with his own sort of charm. Massive bouquets, massive credit bouquets, oddly cliche dates, and the like. But his most defining moments are the smaller, almost mundane ones. Sitting in the parlor car, laying on his belly and kicking his feet while you go through his nail polish collection, picking out what colors you want him to wear. He’s oddly… sparkly, grinning ear to ear as he holds his fingers out, waiting oh so patiently for you to color them. Paint his nails like one of your french girls… or something.
⎯ Welt
Unfortunately, while WELT is sweet, his habits can be a little bit annoying. For the first month or so when you started sleeping in his bed, his snoring almost drove you crazy. Perhaps you should’ve expected this for a man his age, but at the same time you can’t help but scold him in your mind. Fortunately, it is something that you get used to, and even see as white noise. You could complain all you want, and he’d apologize profusely, figure out any sort of way to at the very least quiet himself during the night, and then apologize some more. Not only does he snore, but he moves a lot in his sleep. He likes to fall asleep holding you… however throughout the night, he gets too hot, which means he pulls away, then it’s too cold, so he’s rolling back over to you, then he can’t quite find a comfortable way to sleep… it’s never ending. And charming, kind of.

The Spinjitzu Master
some yapping below the cut :D
hey guys i made a comic!! I actually finished something!!! yayayyayay!!!!! I've been so busy and stressed lately and this was a nice thing to chip away at to de-stress n stuff. The one time I tried doing a multi-page comic like this I totally lost steam in the middle of it and didn't finish, so at the very least I'm happy that I managed to like. get anything down on the page at all lol.
Anyway I'm always thinking about this little guy.... his life was so sad bro like what the heck. Granted we don't actually know that much about his life, but you can extrapolate stuff, and that's basically what this comic is. I like to think that the fsm kind of stumbled into some of the things he did early on in his life. There's like, no way this dude was nearly as cool and epic and in-control as the narrative makes him seem. In my mind he's just as lame as the rest of his lame-ass family; it's just that everyone (his sons, the ninja, the entire rest of ninjago) idolizes him so much and can really only see him as this kind of legendary figure. In reality I think he was just a lonely kid dealing with a lot of like. war and conflict and general suffering. And then (at least in my mind) he managed to get a couple of lucky breaks which eventually lead him to carve out his own little space for himself in ninjago. So I was thinking about that kind of thing 👍
(And then you can see how all of that stuff bleeds into how he raised wu and garm, but that's an entirely different thing for an entirely different day lol)
I'm like 90% sure I got something wrong/mixed something up lore-wise and that this whole thing doesn't actually make sense as a result. but also! The idea felt clever enough to go ahead with it anyway :3 and I wanted to post it before the show dropped more fsm lore (seriously when is dr gonna get into more ninjago history... I can feel it on the horizon it's like the one big thing I'm looking forward to... give me more lore dumps!! more flashbacks!!! more!!!!!!!)
#this took like a little over a month to do so im really happy its done now :33333#ninjago#lego ninjago#ninjago fanart#first spinjitzu master#ninjago first spinjitzu master

Warnings: N/A
• No, he does not taste like fish, Yes I know you've giggled about that at least once so I may as well knock it out of the way
• Considering he's been confirmed to smoke and it's safe to say he eats from the vending machines pretty consistently, he usually tastes like cigarettes and chips
• Occasionally, he may taste like other snack foods, namely: Chocolate, Peanuts, Hard Candy, and those weird prepackaged vanilla cookies
• At first he didn't want to kiss you at all, even when you two got your confessions out
• His mouth is so inhuman and sharp, with rows of shark-like teeth... It made him really nervous about kissing you for a long time
• What if seeing it up close made you not like him very much anymore? What if it just doesn't feel right to you? He'd rather avoid making you uncomfortable like that
• There's only so much defensive sarcasm and passive aggression can do for you, and it isn't gonna fix heartbreak
• Makes fun of you for even wanting to kiss him, have you SEEN him??
• Will accuse you of having a thing for fish 💀
• You're going to have to kiss him first, he isn't gonna pop that safety bubble himself
• That first time, his whole body locks up, breath held for the long moment it takes for him to process what's actually happening
• He relaxes slowly into actually kissing back, that familiar wall coming down
• After this, he'll start initiating them
• At first it's these stiff little pecks on the cheek and corner of your mouth, but he quickly gets a taste for you
• When he starts kissing you directly, he gets hungry for it, starting to sneak them in any time he can find
• The kisses get longer and slower and easier for him, humming into every one of them so affectionately
• He's needed the touch for years, so naturally he's going to have his hands on you the whole time. Yes, all three of them.
• Likes to pick you up, means you can't get away when he goes to tease you about wanting to kiss such a scary thing like him
• Absolutely gives you little snake kisses, his tongue flicks out at you a lot when he's giving you smaller kisses
• That mean ass mouth doesn't get any nicer, but at least you get kisses for putting up with it
• He's going to nip and nibble at you too, overall getting really comfortable with the mouth affection
• He does this all the time, too, and most enjoys bothering you while you're trying to work by sneaking up and biting your neck
• Seriously tho, how is he so quiet?? He's huge???
• Oops, hickeys! He's too pleased with leaving marks not to ❤️

Bamf Babies
RQ: 'I saw that you opened your requests and could I request a dabble of the daily life of Kurt and his partner who treats his bamfs as if they're are their babies? Like she cooks for them, makes them little clothes, tucks them in, gives them names (with Kurt's approval, of course), and all that?' - @mari-thesimp
Warnings: GN reader, though the term 'mother' is used just once just as a way to describe your role. Unedited.
A/N: Umm yes??? Ugh, this was a fun little drabble. The bamfs, come on, cute little guys. I wish I had one. I'd kill for one.
The bamfs were...a lot...when you first met them. They were like little gremlins who were constantly at full energy, scampering around and getting into things they weren't supposed to. The only time they weren't running around so much was when they finally sat to eat. Kurt noticed that they were fond of you right away, and while he has to leave for missions, he decides to leave them with you, or at least a few at a time before it gradually turned into all of them.
You became their unofficial mother. But like hell you'd deny that.
The bamfs slept with you, all curled up beside you like a litter of kittens. Their soft, velvety skin felt so warm against you, like gentle peach fuzz. Sometimes they fought to sleep the closest to you, some would cry and you'd have to reassure them.
Bamfs can be quite jealous, so you have to make sure to show equal amounts of affection and love, otherwise it can cause an unruly bamf which is never fun. As you learned how they worked, you got better at managing them all.
Each morning, you wake up and made them breakfast. Kurt is normally exhausted, so you let him sleep in. The bamfs scramble out of bed with you, eager and happy. their little chirps and chitters fill the kitchen as they gather by your feet. Some climb on the counter, trying their best to help you cook. Pancakes were their favorite, but they weren't so good at making them. They tried, but they often made a big mess with the batter. Then they fought...and an even bigger mess happens.
So you handle the mixing. You learned.
They still liked to try to help, so you let them put chocolate chips or blueberries in them if they wanted. Each pancake you poured, you held up a bamf and they sprinkled in their add-on. Each one was served and given syrup, and now you had a handful of happy, quiet bamfs. Still and busy eating their food. Their big cheeks full of sweet pancakes as they ate happily.
"Guten Morgen..." Kurt says groggily, making his presence known. He's got major bedhead, trudging over to you and rubbing his eye sleepily. You return the greeting, smiling at him as he hugs you from behind. "Any for me...?" he asks tiredly, his face nuzzles your neck.
"Of course," you chuckle lightly. The bamfs had to get their sweet tooth from somewhere, and Kurt's sweet tooth was crazy.
You make Kurt his breakfast, and pass out cut up bananas and fruits for the bamfs. Some pout, and you chuckle. "Now, you have to have something healthy too, little ones. Besides, bananas and berries are yummy." You spoke gently to them, scratching their heads as you distributed the food. They all reluctantly ate the fruit, wanting to make you happy.
After breakfast, it's bath time. You bath the bamfs twice a day, they get...dirty, very easy. Luckily all of them can fit in the bathtub, so it's not that difficult. You scrub them and wash their hair, seeing them happily splash and play in the water. Some hate the water, they are like cats, trying to get away from the tiniest of drops, but you manage. There are one or two where Kurt has to help hold them in so you can wash them. The poor bamfs cry and try their hardest to get out, but only when they're clean. You give them lots of kisses when they're done, so they feel better. The little dears eventually stop crying, but they pout and are grumpy.
You like to play with them, you go outside and play on the playgrounds with them, the bamfs love slides. They're also little spiders, crawling on every single thing they can.
"Careful!" you called, one bamf climbed on the very top of the castle and chirped victoriously. The bamf seemed so proud of itself, but like that instinct you had, the bamf slipped and slid off the castle top and down to the wooden pellets that covered the playground. It landed on its back and its little body rolled over, the force of the landing turned it onto its belly.
A soft hic and it started to cry. You rushed over, Kurt noticed and teleported beside the little bamf as it cried. Its tearful cheeks damp as it reached up to you. "Awe it's okay...I'm here baby..." you cooed, holding the darling bamf close. It was a little dirty, but otherwise okay. Nothing broken, "You're gonna have one hell of a knot on your head later, sweetheart."
The bamf cried and buried itself into you, the others were concerned and slowed their play as you comforted the hurt bamf. "He's okay, liebe...just a little hurt." Kurt reassured, but the bamf didn't want to be put down and you didn't want to let it go yet.
"I know, I know...just let me comfort him..." you whispered to Kurt, whom backed off and let you do your thing. "Shh, sh...it's alright, you slipped, that's all. You're okay, little one..." you reassured the bamf and gave it a little kiss on the head, your hand gently soothing the sore spot.
Playtime didn't last much longer, you all went inside to clean up once again, and it was dinner time. You cooked and hummed, the bamf who hurt itself didn't leave your side, crying and wanting to be held constantly. You of course held it, the poor thing kept itself buried against you. The darling had a wrap around its head where it fell and you held an ice pack to the spot when you weren't stirring dinner at the stove.
Kurt occupied the rest, they couldn't use sharp utensils, but they helped season things. When dinner was served, it was a typical mealtime, they ate happily with little complaint unless it came to brussel sprouts and broccoli. You cleaned up, and came to the den to relax for the evening and enjoy their company...and Kurt's of course.
The bamfs colored at the table, most of their drawings were messy and childlike. The injured bamf stayed close to you, laying in your lap with the ice on its head. The pitiful bamf was extremely attached to you, and would sometimes make cries to get your attention when it wanted more.
Kurt stayed close to you, sighing down at the little bamf. "He's really attached to you, schatz...all of them are. They might love you more than me," he chuckled lightly, kissing your temple. The comment and kiss made you smile lightly, your heart beating a little quicker.
"Ah well...I just try to care for them the best I can." Your thumb was gently rubbing the bamf's cheek, the little one had fallen asleep in your lap. "I think it's bedtime, the others are quite sleepy too."
The rest were slow and sluggish now, yawning and rubbing their eyes. Kurt agreed, leading them all up to your bedroom. "Alright little ones...let's get you in your jammies." you hummed, holding up little onsies you made for them. Putting clothes on them for the first time was hard, but over the months, they learned to adjust. It was like putting clothes on a cat, they acted funny at first but as you learned the sizes and where the clothes were pinching, you figured out how to make the clothes as comfortable as possible.
They all slept in bed with you, but they had their own little corner where there was a big nest they slept in too. However, you couldn't deny them if they wanted to sleep beside you, especially the hurt one. So after you changed and got ready for bed, you slipped in and they all piled in after you. The injured snuggling close, then the rest came around and settled.
Kurt was behind you, his tail wrapping around your leg. "Comfy?" he asks you softly, and you nod in return. You were exhausted. The day was long and you were ready for bed. You had a little family here, and you couldn't be happier with your life. Kurt and the bamfs were your everything, and you were theirs.
Thanks for reading.

⊹ giving them flowers
premise. no plot we are just giving them flowers cause guys deserve some too <3
content. fluff, mini scenarios, azul turns into a silly nerd (affectionate)
featuring. jamil, sebek, riddle, azul.
note. actually accidentally posted this yesterday and got a heart attack (also an actual consistent posting schedule...?)
jamil gives you a look.
he spares a long stare at the bouquet you clutch between your hands, wearing an awfully cheeky grin that's chipping off the scold in his throat. "how many times have I told you this?" he deadpans.
but from the obvious fact that you're holding it. it's not like jamil can do anything about it.
"you don't buy flowers for yourself," he says firmly. I'm supposed to be the one getting them for you. he would like to add.
"they're a waste of madol?" you tilt your head.
he answers immediately. "no, just—" jamil's eye twitches like he's trying his hardest to keep something. "don't,"
perhaps he's being a little too blunt but it makes him upset. is he really messing up in gift giving to the extent where you have to buy something for.. yourself? and jamil is pretty sure gifts are called as such for a reason.
and that they're from, or gifted to another person.
you chuckle in your fist, but he continues to ramble; "also it's hard to care for flowers when you don't know much, i don't want you to—"
"jamil hon, my baby, the apple of my eye, the love of my life, they're for you,"
you say simply, and watch in amusement when his moments stutter before they stop to a complete freeze.
a furious wave of heat crawls up on his back but he's praying frantically. now is not the time. he seethes.
... he just tripped over his words.
jamil reluctantly accepts the flowers after you've finished laughing your ass off, and the only thing in his mind is the love.
okay maybe he should pick up a book about caring for flowers. do they even survive in the harsh conditions of scarabia?
whatever he'll make it work.
you should've expected this.
despite your arm honestly starting to tremble under the stress of holding it out for about 2 minutes straight now, you still attempt a smile—although strained. wouldn't want sebek to find it an unfriendly gesture.
even though he probably already thinks that anyways.
you don't want to color sebek in a way that shows that his only personality is being suspicious to everyone, and of course. the dearest young master he adores. (seriously though it's a little concerning, and you're kinda jealous.)
sebek stares at the bouquet in your hand with scrutinizing eyes, as if to say non-verbally: 'what is this'.
you sigh when he just stares at it like it's a bomb. "it's flowers." you deadpan.
sebek pursues his lips, looks away before looking back. "I can see that!" he says like he wasn't wearing a face that made you think you had to explain. but he just crosses his arms and falls silent with a huff. "for the young master, yes?'
he pauses. "I can atleast acknowledge your gesture, human!"
was that supposed to be good? you weren't given the chance to explain because he continues again; "though I will have to make sure that these aren't anything the young master is allergic to." he nods to himself, as though proud for being so thoughtful.
your eye twitches. you're a little surprised that he didn't even imply that it could be possibly a bomb inside to try and assassinate them.. but you notice a slight tense-ness to his demeanor.
you know cause he's huffed about 5 times in the past 1 minute, he's looked away and he's very clearly sneaking peaks at your hand.
—then he huffs to himself! then it repeats.
"I will take them to the young master at once!" he announces with his loud volume, stepping forward to grab it from you but you ultimately beat him. you're just praying he doesn't find you 10x more suspicious the moment you had wrenched it back to yourself with surprising strength you didn't know you had.
even he looked surprised!
"no, sebek.." you heave. "they're not for malleus, they're for you."
he didn't have the heart to correct the way you addressed the young master before he dutifully exploded.
he's shaking away from you with a wobbling, agape mouth. he could only open and close them dumbly, not beir capable to let a word out.
you suppose he was too speechless because he didn't even say anything when you happily pushed the bouquet to his chest like nothing happened.
for someone who's most diligent in studying, you'd think riddle would be able to catch on easily on the gist of your actions.
but he just blinks when you hold out your hand. pretty gray eyes trained on the bouquet of red roses in your grasp, then onto your face with inquisitive question apparent with the raise of his brow.
"we have plenty of roses in our gardens." he says, as though like giving him... these is the most bizarre phenomenon in his life.
it seems like he feels the need to add. "we grow them."
you smile, the sweet thing awfully tight on your face. "they're for you," you explain. a little perturbed that you need to in the first place, but it's riddle so you sorta understand?
riddle squints. "why?"
you blank. "like... like a gift, for you? you know. cause I want to."
then as if the slowness of the processing going on in his brain gradually speeds up. it's obvious he's probably realized the implications of your little gift from the jolt, then widened eyes who stare in disbelief.
riddle gulps. "for, me?" he asks stupidly.
your raised brows say yes.
it's almost hilarious when he accepts them gratefully and stares at them like you just sprouted a literal white rose from the ground, wrapped it in some fancy plastic, and then handed it to him with a smile.
silence ensues again. riddle notices, screeches in his head to do something about it except he can't, cause his mind seems to be broken right now and he can't exert any words but a stammer.
and he'd really like to relearn how to speak because you're fidgeting on the spot, clearly nervous by his silence.
"sorry," you chuckle. "um.. it's just red roses, not white, or blue, or pink—"
"no!" he blurts out far too quickly. hands stretched out in the air a little as though reaching out to stop you but then stiffly staying by his side. riddle clears his throat. "I mean... this is... very important to me."
you look like you don't really believe him cause he was going off about roses in his dorm before.
he flushes, away from your gaze. "because its from you."
you can barely see azul.
or gauge out his reaction if it's supposed to be good or bad, because you can barely even see his eyes from all the sudden sheen of white over it. did all the smoke in the room just gravitate over his glasses conveniently or something?
you can spot the joints in his fingers twitching but oddly enough he remains stiff in front of you. uncharacteristically silent, which wouldn't really lead to good things.
"hello?" with your free hand, devoid of any flowers with the power of freezing a person. you wave it in front of his face which seems to have done a pretty good job with snapping him out of whatever trance he's in.
the glasses slip down the bridge of his nose but he fixes them at record speed. admittedly with clammy fingers.
azul coughs. "thank you very much." he clutches them tighter, pursuing his lips.
"I know octavinelle is not the best place for warmer places," he starts and a flash of confusion on your face is something he misses. "but I will manage it and find an accommodation for these, around 34 or 35 degrees."
your brows furrow. what.
"hmm yes... a nice vase, I'll use the most pure water there is." he rants. "then I'll fill it up with two thirds of its container and make sure it lives healthy."
that's... concerning.
"I'll have jade clean it regularly." he says and you're honestly more scared for the flowers. "I cannot trust floyd either so I'll trim it by two centimeters at the right angle occasionally when it dries."
he says all that, with a pink face.
you awkwardly stand there taking in azuls apparent plans on how to ensure the lifespan of your 'thoughtful' gift will be extended as far as he can help in to commerce your honor.

Alice in Marvel-land
𐙚Yandere! Deadpool (Wade Wilson) x Reader x Yandere Wolverine (Logan Howlett)
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚ In some worlds, you were Logan's little darling. In others, you were Wade's starry-eyed lover. But here in the void, there is only one of you and two of them.
⁀➷ GORE, yandere behavior, kidnapping, Deadpool being Deadpool.
⁺₊𝄞₊⁺ IDK, probs the Deadpool and Wolverine soundtrack
Logan feels the world slipping away.
Piece by piece, atom by atom.
In a blink, he's falling down darkness.
An endless rabbit hole.
What was the name of that fairy tale you liked so much?
The one with the girl who gets lost in splendor?
The dust is kicking up, framing the sunset portrait along the horizon.
The envoys are nearly home, this time they've brought someone back. The cage balls chime along the unsteady road. If you squint just far enough you can almost make out vibrant specks of red and yellow.
Strange, the void tends to wash out bright colors. Well, it tends to wash out just about everything.
You scrape your nails along the skeleton's sockets. Leave crescents in the decaying cartilage. "They're almost here" you call out awaiting Cassandra's next move. You watch dolefully as she's transfixed on a portal. The sparky thing unfurled like a fresh wound, strewing salt on persistent lacerations. She watches her brother, or well some variation of her brother. Surrounded by his new family, surrounded by those he loves. He's forgotten her, or maybe never even knew her. You think that the latter would hurt the most.
"Cassandra" Your voice rises in octave, this time getting her attention. "They're here".
"Coming" She sings, voice so chip it almost sounds like unshed tears. You send a final glare at the portal before it collapses on itself.
If you tried hard enough, maybe you could bring yourself to understand her pain. Those pesky notions of desperation for someone to love. But it
doesn't matter now everyone you've ever loved is dead anyway. And unlike Cassandra, you've long since given up on the childish dreams of being rescued by someone who would offer up love so freely.
"Maybe shut up now"
Logan's nerves are frying. Thin strings snapping with every syllable that leaves the red merc's mouth. He's starting to appreciate Stryker in a way he didn't even know he could. The man was a psychotic sadist but at least he knew when to sew someone's mouth shut. Maybe he can convince this Cassadra chick to do the same.
Logan's eyes are almost at 90 degrees of a roll when they stop. He stops, frozen. In the gaping mouth of the rotting skull, something all too familiar stands.
Or rather someone.
Someone he knew.
Someone he loved.
Your name tastes bitter on his tongue. All death and whisky.
Maybe cause it's been so long since the attack. Since he walked off for the night and left his family to die. Cause the last time he saw you, you were a mangled corpse laying in an open grave. Deadweight as he cradled you in his arms.
You walk closer. Face painted in too many shades of confusion.
Curiouser and curiouser.
Damn, he's started quoting that stupid book again.
"How do you know my name" You ask. You look just as beautiful as he remembers. Spine carved straight in pride with perfect lips, perfect eyes. His talons itch to glide across your soft skin, to feel you so intimately once more.
"LOOOGAN did you see what the bald chick just- HEY!!"
It takes too much effort to pull his gaze away. To stare at red and black and be reminded of cruel realities. But Wade has a tendency to be a persistent ache, some unwelcomed anchor to every problem he's ever had.
Only this time when he actually looks at him. Looks at the jittery body that's stilled abruptly. He can't help but be glad that he did. A bitter laugh bubbles in his throat. Maybe Wade's shut up for good this time.
He always knew you were special but this is truly a miracle.
"IT'S YOU!!"
Nope, didn't work. He knew he couldn't be that lucky.
Wade whispers your name, a forgotten prayer. Logan didn't even know the loudmouth knew how to pray. But he seems to almost soften when he sees you. That feral, cheeky killer, looks so so soft when he stares into your doe-eyes. Reaching out zealously to twirl a lock of your hair around his blood-soaked finger.
He can almost feel Wade choking on your essence, heart erratic, like a child finding a lost toy. He's drowning in ecstasy, and Logan is almost tempted to join him. You're here, a breath away. So close it's taking every ounce of self-control not to pull you to his chest and keep you locked between his arms until he finally dies too.
"Penunt look that's my girl!!"
"Your girl!?"
He had taken you for granted as he tends to do with most peaceful things. The realization had occurred a little too late. Right as he had been emptying a round into the target of the week's head.
He lands.
Arms high like an Olympian pleasing the crowd.
He wonders if he can make you cheer for him.
Clap and shout his name as he twirls around the mess he's made.
He wants to feel loved, although he'll never say it out loud. He's only ever been good with words when they're laced with sarcasm and profanity.
And maybe 'I love you' is just about the most obscene thing he can ever say to someone as sweet as you.
Wade plays the white rabbit, fluffy coat stained red from every kill. Tricking poor Alice into following him down cruel rabbit holes. Making you chase him through labyrinths then leaving you at every turn. He leads you to every kill, makes you watch as he dances in slaughter. He can even feel your eyes right now. Starlight slicing him open to quench vulgar interests.
Alice always follows the rabbit.
He stalks closer, white eyes fixated on your deliciously bewildered expression. Precious thing caught in a warzone. He can almost taste you on his tongue, the sharp tip of a star slivering the inside of his mouth, soft hands painting crescent moons along the back of his neck. He needs to carve his essence across your lips, to pour the after-kill adrenaline into your soul. He needs you.
Only this time...
This time he'd been too distracted. So caught up in claiming you as his victory prize that he didn't notice the grizzled man clinging to life...
And a pistole.
The bullet punctures his shoulder. An afterthought.
But the lead keeps going.
Penetrating the air until it lands bunglingly between your eyes.
You fall into his arms.
Deadweight.
Did the white rabbit ever miss Alice?
Did he ever realize how truly special such a curious girl made him feel?
He doubts it.
Doubts that a stupid rodent would have better emotional stability than him.
He's been given a second chance. A whole plethora of them actually. He's been deemed holy, righteous. And aren't gifts of marvel bestowed upon the truly blessed? What better blessing than the sight of you standing amongst the sand and skulls?
Good to see your affinity for dainty dresses spans across all universes...
He lets the blood trickle down his claws.
What else is there to do but dream of you?
It's the fourth day of his massacre and he's lost count of how many humans he's killed. Maybe cause after the first hundred the faces tend to blur.
He leaves your pleasants in between the rotting carcasses and broken glass. Only taking the torturous parts of you. The things that can hurt him. The sharp edges that he can slit his pulse point on, the vague memory of your glare before you cried. The soft skin of your neck between his jagged teeth.
Enough to keep the hate burning.
He wonders if the creatures of Wonderland wept after Alice left. He wonders if Wonderland lost its wonder.
But now you're standing here.
Alive.
And he wants so badly to remember the sweet taste of your lips. The soft push against his chapped lips as he swallows you whole. Even desperate rabbits can go a little feral. His eyes take in every breath, every scowl.
Alive.
Alive.
Alive.
Good to see your affinity for dainty dresses spans across all universes...
Aliath skids forward, mystified in lightning and smoke. You feel your bones collapsing under the rugged man's, Logan's, vice grip. You thrash and scream trying to break free but he only barks out orders to his friend before they take off running.
"Your safe, don't worry we got you." There's a comedic cadence to every word Wade says. You can almost fool yourself into enjoying it if the two weren't actively attempting to defy Cassandra, to defy Aliath, to defy deities and absolutes. To ripe you away from the only semblance of opulence you've come to know.
"Let me go, you custome-wearing freaks." His gripe tenses. "Don't struggle so much, we said you're safe, now hold still" Logan's anger ripples through you. It's almost muscle memory to still, to obey.
Did you know him? Know them?
In some past life too out of reach?
The ground shutters to a jagged rhythm. You're flying up, escaping the misty horrors of the ground. Your head pounds with the force, air slapping across your body as you taste the cotton of the clouds between your teeth.
Is this how Alice felt as her head hit the roof?
Wade mutters about the stars and educated wishes. About people who live and matter. Logan slices through his thigh, the mercenary's optimism making his body ring with phantom pains.
No one matters.
And when they start to, they die.
There are cruel absolutes in this world. He's tasted them all. Let them slice his tongue and heart and danced to every tune they've sung. He rips his claws out and digs them into Wade's chest.
Again
And again.
Wade savors the salty tang of blood inside his mouth.
Licks his teeth and runs his tongue over the gaping holes.
He's sitting in the front seat head rolled back.
High off the blood and adrenaline and the thought of having you so close.
"I take it all back, the Honda odysseys fucks hard"
Bones crack, interrupted mid-heal as Logan turns his head to glare. "Shut up" he rasps and Wade almost, almost, hears approval.
There's a low moan reverberating across the broken car. Late night sleepy mumble that's half 'I love you' and half 'I need you'. Neither one has heard it in such a long time.
"Finally awake sleeping beauty? Kinda surprised you could sleep through all of that" Wade shimmies to the back, only to be greeted by your foot smashing into his face, cracking his nose open, and sending a fresh wave of blood into his mouth. He pins your knee to the seat and wiggles himself between you. caging you with his elbows as he stares down at your pretty face. "Miss me, angel baby?"
"Wrong fairy tale" Logan turns around in his seat, claws out running them across your cheek "Please stop, just let me go" you've never begged before, never fallen so low. But these two things, mutants, mutates, or whatever they are, scare you. Reckless, suicidal, dangerous. You feel so helpless in their presence. Never knowing you're to be kissed or killed.
"You're as lovely as I remember" The melancholy colors him in a monochrome of sympathy. Here is a man who's gone through every horror and still gets out of bed. Or maybe he has to, maybe he can't quite die and can't quite reach heaven. So he gulps down his immortality with black coffee to at least pretend he's being buried six feet deep. "Even after all this time I still love you" You almost melt in his brown eyes. So lonely, so desperate.
Kill or kiss
You want him to do both. Want to kiss extinction on his lips while being impaled by the claws. Kill or kiss.
Both, both, both.
"You know~" Wade pushes himself up, "I think your dress should be red...and black. To match your favorite man."
"Who the hell said you were the favorite?" Wade leans forward, in a blink he's gripped Logan's wrist and lunged the Wolvarine's claws into your abdomen.
You writhe, the bones and metal feel almost heavenly inside of you. When he retracts the claws you moan out, it's too saccharine to hold back. Everything feels so much lighter, colorful. You feel your essence slipping out, gushing over the back seat.
Red waterfall, so pretty.
Dress stained red.
"Told ya so!"
Wade pulls you roughly by the shoulders and smashes his lips against yours. He's so cute, fickle Cheshire cat, tongue dancing across your mouth, slitting itself on your peaked teeth, and filling your mouth with thick red caterpillar smoke. "What the hell is wrong with you? You really are God's perfect idiot" Logan's anger is tangible, sweet, and bitter like hatter tea at midnight.
"S'okay Logan, it feels nice" Your words slur, slipping gauche from your tongue as you giggle profusely. You feel like Alice cracking open Wonderland's ribs, crawling inside, and smearing the wonder across your face.
"When I used to read fairy tales, I fancied that kind of thing never happened, and now here I am in the middle of one" You've heard these words before, Alice's words. she's right. Your fairy tale is painted red with pretty, crazy, princes who think that slicing open a princess is easier than kissing her. You reach out for Logan, desperate for a kiss. "eat me" you mutter, and Logan's face morphs into pure terror "Wade what the hell have you done to her?".
"What? It's better this way trust me"
"I hate you"
Logan bends, meeting you halfway. He kisses you with all the wary of a dead man walking. All teeth and heart and bitter memories left to rot three lifetimes ago. He pushes himself between your bones, trying to carve out his ethos in your body. He'd burn the world so long as he gets to keep you.
You squeeze your thighs around Wade's muscular thighs and hips unlocking a gibby giggle from the man. His mask is half pulled up as he trails sloppy fervorous kisses across your neck and chest. The nostalgia slithering under your skin has you squirming, you've been through this all before. In a past life somewhere where storm monsters and voids don't exist. "Remember how good this feels?" Wade mumbles as his fingers dig into your puncture wounds, drawing slow, desperate moans from your puffy lips. You don't dare answer you don't know what would be worst admitting to liking the loudmouth ministrations or admitting there were other versions of you out there, other happy versions.
"Oh for hell's sake," Logan reclines the front seat and shuffles closer. Pulling down the back of your dress. His kisses are bite marks in disguise rabid and feral, the two things the man will never escape. His name rolls across your tongue, you let it slip in an airy moan. "No fair " Wade complains "I want you to say my name too." He pulls out his baby knife and etches the skin of your thighs. Scribbling doodles of stars and half hearts and the little symbol he wears on his belt. "W-wade" you gasp never knowing whether to scream in pain or giggle in bliss.
Logan laughs into your neck. You didn't even know he was capable of such a gentle thing. You bite his lip playfully. Dragging your fingers across his muscular arms. Your thumb pushes into the space between his knuckles asking for the claws. For the most macabre parts of him. You glide your tongue across the parish where flesh meets metal. Kissing the metal and bones and lapping at the blood. Watch curiously as he draws out a long airy sigh. "Good girl" he mumbles voice marred with ecstasy and you almost see the ghost of a smile smear across his pretty lips.
Wade's thumb gently rubs against your hips. Softly usering you into peace, tranquility. Your eyes get heavy, the car gets blurry. The grotesque realignment of their bones steering you into a deep, content sleep.
"Hey Peanut, you think Alice in Wonderland here would mind if we keep going? "
"Shut it, moron "
"Oh, how I wish I could shut up like a telescope! I think I could, if only I knew how to begin.”

Unedited, srry loves <3
Nanami is the type of husband who refuses to text you and will call you just because you texted a simple "hi."
Nanami is the type of husband who makes sure to learn how to perfect your favorite coffee or tea, so when you wake up in the morning it’s already there waiting for you.
Namami is the type of husband who can communicate his feelings VERY well and will help you with yours.
Namami is the type of husband who always yearned for marriage so when he got it, it became somewhat of a badge of honor. (Gojo also got him a “The Best Husband Ever” shirt for a wedding gift because he knew Kento wanted to be a husband and Nanami wears it as a bedtime shirt😭).
Nanami is the type of husband who doesn’t show public affection, but he will hold your hand with the occasional little back rub.
Nanami is the type of husband who wants babies and a lot of them. He always knew deep down that he wanted little ones running around but pushed the thought away because of his job (that’s until he met you).
Nanami is the type of husband who loves nicknames and rarely calls you by your real name. He prefers "darling" and "love".
Nanami is the type of husband who likes to wake up early but hates waking you up early because he knows how much you love to sleep, so he’ll just lay in bed watching you sleep, rubbing your hair. (He’s a super, loving man).
Nanami is the type of husband who works way too hard and needs a vacation every so often. he always lets you pick the destination though. (he took you to Malaysia for the honeymoon of course).
Nanami is the type of husband who LOVES to cuddle and will randomly grab a book and your hand to go out and cuddle in the big hammock in your backyard (just imagine that seriously).
Nanami is the type of husband who loves giving you what you want and struggles to say no. Do you want those nasty chips that have too much red food dye? Go grab a bag baby. Want to spend all night watching princess movies and eating candy? He’ll go fetch the blankets.
Nanami is the type of husband who adores the colder seasons and will randomly come home with 4 bags of fall decor (he’s so wholesome).
Nanami is the type of husband who is oblivious to how adorable he is. he does the cutest things throughout the whole day and when you bring it to his attention he’s just like “Oh”.
Nanami is the type of husband who you will hear in the next room bragging about how “smart and amazing ” you are, You'll randomly hear him say “My wife made the most lovely bread today” to one of his co workers.
Nanami is the type of husband who gets shy when his students ask to see a picture of you because they can’t believe he actually got married. (he shows them a thousand pictures of you lol).
Nanami is the type of husband who loves back scratches. He doesn’t like to expect anything from you but he will expect back scratches.
Nanami is the type of husband who holds your legs up so he can vacuum under where your legs are (he’s way too strong).
Nanami is the type of husband who starts a little book club with just the two of you and he looks forward to it every other week.
Nanami is the type of husband who will secretly feel betrayed when you take a nice bath without him because that’s something he likes to do with you.
Nanami is the type of husband who loves to take care of you but also loves when you take care of him. (He likes being babied and you are the only person who will ever know that information)
Reblogs are definitely appreciated ♡♡♡
