This is such an interesting scene to me because when Spectra asks Danny what he is supposed to be he can't give her a proper answer. Instead he gives not a clear response and ends ups saying ¨I don't know¨.

And its worth of analysing since it shows that Danny has an identity crisis about his nature of being a halfa. He doesn't know to which world he belongs to- human or ghost. Spectra even suggests that he is a ¨ghost trying to fit with humans¨, something that Danny doesn't fully deny because again, he doesn't know what to answer.

It gets sadder when you think about how Danny sees himself as a ¨freak¨ due to being half ghost-half human. It isn't hard to see why: He is very unique in nature, probably something he believes that shouldn't exist in reality yet here he is.

It makes me kinda of sad that this concept wasn't explored further because it has so much potential for character arcs for Danny and exploring how he views himself as a halfa.

While trying to figure out how the ghost transformation works, for half-ghosts...

Hey, probably the "sparkle" from where the luminous circles come is where the core of a ghost is situated! Halfa's powers come from there!

Interest Check?

Hey, everyone, long time no see!!

I know it's very ironic to have a project that was just about to launch not being able to fully launch and end up... half-dead.

What was this DP phandom project about?

This project was originally meant to connect with Danny Phantom phanfic authors who had left works unfinished to see if they'd like to participate in Q&A's from fans of their works, find help if they wished to have beta-readers, or consent to appear listed in a fic recommendation list of unfinished stories that other phans love.

Where are we now? (aside from half-dead)

Life happened, but in that process it also gave me a lot of time to think about what this project sounded like with a fresh perspective and how it could be repurposed to something easier to handle from an organization/logistics point of view, but also to have a more approachable way to provide help to authors who want to see their unfinished works find some closure.

There are probably a lot of new peeps in the phandom, but also others shifting to other interests, or busy with IRL. So, I want to bring back a bit of life to this project with a simple question for authors in the Danny Phantom phandom (yes, that includes crossover writers as well 💚):

What does "ongoing phanfic" mean? Any work you already started but has not been concluded. This is specially directed to those works that you're struggling as a writer to continue but want to see concluded somehow (common struggles include but are not limited to: writer's block, no longer feeling inspired, wanting to rework your previous chapters, not being sure how to wrap the story, etc.).

What happens after the poll closes?

If there's enough people interested, there will be a call for co-organizers and some planning brainstorming before committing to anything.

“Relax Dr. Fenton. It’s just me,” replied a familiar deep voice.

“You? Why?”

The Fenton Drone camera showed the GAV threading the needle through a GIW barricade. Even Jack wasn’t daring enough to try that.

“Made a promise, so I can’t say more. I’m sorry…and you’re welcome, when you figure it all out.”

He didn’t get the particulars of modern ghost hunting, or why Jack believed what he did about his quarry. But if there’s anything he understood, it was that family transcends death. And so, Dominic Toretto sideswiped the shield generator, freeing Phantom and the Wisconsin Ghost.
